I own a 2008 Volkswagen Jetta SE. The clutch went out on the vehicle. I brought it to 8816 N. Black Canyon Highway, Midas auto service. The initially quoted me $1600. After they replaced a new clutch kit clutch fork and shift cable when I went to go pick it up it cost $2397.14.

Had to have the same vehicle towed back to 8816 N. Black Canyon Highway, Midas the clutch failed. I was informed that there was a vacuum pump gasket kit issue. They had to remove and replace a vacuum gasket a little piece of plastic that was brittle and disintegrating. The gentleman told me that it was leaking oil onto the clutch and that's why the clutch failed. $119 charged even though it was under warranty.

Had the vehicle towed back to Midas 8816 N. Black Canyon Highway clutch had failed yet again. I was charged for a brake bleeder kit clutch master cylinder, new master cylinder, new clutch kit, vacuum line assembly, and vacuum pump some of which have nothing to do with the clutch. He informed me that maybe it was my style that made the clutch keep failing. That's impossible. Should've still be under warranty was charged $1175.27.

Literally within a week the clutch failed again. He informed me that the brakes weren't working well and before he would warranty out the clutch, he had to do a lot of work to the brakes. Prior to having the car towed again at my expense the brakes work perfectly fine held my feet to the fire. Reman PB booster, master cylinder again? 957.82

Clutch failed yet again. By accident, I had it towed to Midas 6856 W. Indian School Rd. they looked at all the paperwork and redid the entire clutch free of charge, knowing that I literally had been taken advantage of by the other location. They even admitted that some of the parts the other location used were not of quality and refurbished.

Clutch failed had the vehicle towed back to the Indian school location 6856 W. Indian School Rd. they stated that they would warranty out the parts but I would have to pay for the manual labor which cost $1500.00 Oddly enough, there only took them three days to do when they redid the clutch the prior time it took them three weeks.
One week and a half later the clutch failed again. I called Midas up on Indian school Road the exact words were we don't know what to tell you the warranty sits right next to the $15 bill I just paid.
This is the most obvious and abundantly clear deceptive ludicrous behaviors by in every day mechanic that is well known. I have been ripped off taking advantage of on a 2008 Jetta up to almost $7000 for the same problem. This is absolutely outrageous and someone needs to do something and make it right. I have contacted the Attorney General's office the BBB and I'm contemplating an attorney pending the result of that. This does not include the 160 towing fee everytime I had to take it bak in. Close to 8000 dollars on a 2008 Jetta not anywhere near the value
Claimed loss: 8000.00
Desired outcome: refund honor warrenty
