For the first time in my life I had taken my vehicle to get my brakes and rotors fixed 3 weeks ago the customer service and the genuine demeanor of Tyler and the rest of the staff was so impressing to me that I went back on Friday October 6th at 2:00 p.m. with the complaint of a burning smell which I knew was the gasket leaking oil after a thorough check I was introduced to the gasket needing to be replaced and the belt needing to be replaced which I agreed to. Prior to taking my vehicle that day I checked my oil smelt it to make sure there was no burning smell coming from it and everything was fine other than the burning on the outside of the engine from it dripping onto the hot engine parts Friday night at 8:00 I went out to eat dinner and came out of the restaurant and my vehicle would not start one time wouldn't turn over second time hesitated to turn over shook vigorously and then I put my foot on the gas and it stayed on and I drove it home which was two blocks the next day with my grandson in the car the vehicle shook and try to turn off when I turned it on for the first time and I immediately went to the Midas mechanic and address my complaint Unfortunately they weren't able to duplicate the problem until 2 or 3 hours later when I came back (2xs) again after going shopping with my grandson, the mechanic Ray was able to duplicate the problem and brought to my attention that there was a bad smell of gas in my oil my concern is if the gasket was replaced the oil was dropped why was it any oil and gas smell brought to my attention the day before I feel that whatever occurred with the gasket and the pulley perhaps a holes got pinched or something occurred to make the gas leak into my oil or something happened during the repair to cause this to occur there was no gas issues with my vehicle prior to when I left they expressed to me that the gas issue was a concern but they could not find out what the problem was or properly diagnosed what was causing it and explain to me to come back on Monday to have it checked thoroughly again with Ray and Jimmy after being at the mechanic shop from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with the 2-year-old I took him home and I went home when I got home my engine was so hot it burnt my face when I opened the hood which is something that has never occurred with my vehicle before on Sunday I had to go to church which was about 5 mi from my house again the gasoline smell was so strong and the engine was so hot but I prayed and went to church anyways cuz that's my Sunday routine came straight home after church and the engine again was so hot it was Untouchable and you couldn't stand in front of the hood without feeling like you were getting burnt there's something definitely going on that I feel was caused by the mechanic during the repair we're all human and we all make mistakes I need for my vehicle to be fixed properly so that loved ones and I will be safe. I've spent a total of $700+ I even had the spark plugs changed as they requested or recommended after all of this Monday morning at 7:00 I will be off from work taking more time to try to get the proper repair done to my vehicle.
As a government employee for the past 18 years I appreciate great customer service Jill, Ray, Tyler and the rest of the mechanics and gentlemen diligently tried to diagnose and resolve my issue prior to me leaving my efforts and my concern is not to get anyone in trouble is not to get my money back eithet... it's just to get my vehicle repaired so that I'm safe driving it with my family any help that can be provided to get resolution to this problem would be great, if resolution is not done tomorrow, I will have to take off from work afsin and take my vehicle to the dealer at that point I will need a refund
I do believe in Midas that's why I brought my car back I'm a firm believer in following my gut instinct and my intuition and the customer service is amazing is just this particular problem has to be resolved thank you in advance for any help you can render and may God bless and keep you all

Desired outcome: Proper repair to the issues that did not exist prior to me bringing my vehicle or a refund so that I can take it to the dealer
