Noise and water
I stayed at the motel 6 in Escondido California 2 night's ago. I filed complaint, and still haven't heard anything back. October 21 2022 I got a room. They put me in a room, where right next door, in the next room, they were hammering against my wall, doing construction. They turned off my water for 4 hours too. I tried to resolve it with Kathy at the front desk, by requesting a different room, but I received nothing. I just had to suffer with it, even though I paid $140 for the night.
Desired outcome: I'm now in Colorado springs, and need a room for a couple nights tonight. I think 2 night's is fair compensation.
The room was in very bad condition, as well as the halls and other areas.
When we were at the hotel in Ruidoso on September 19-20 we had some serious issues with the room as well as the hotel itself. There were tears in the bedspread, dead insects on the window sill, calcium deposits on the floor under the sink, a broken toilet paper holder, as well as an annoying drip from the tub.
Also a small stain on one of the wash cloths. We also did not appreciate having to pay a $100 deposit, of which we were not informed until our arrival. It would not have been as much of an issue if we had been informed ahead of time. The only good thing was that the staff was friendly and apologetic about the issues. Let people know what i going on, and as the hotel is not in the best shape, I believe a reduction in prices while the repairs are going on would be a good thing to consider. Otherwise, we will not be staying there or recommending it to anyone else for a stay of any duration. PLEASE REPLY BACK TO US ON OUR CONCERNS!

Team members participating in human trafficking, rude and disrespectful team members, owner won't contact
On September 9th, 2002, my fiancé and I checked into Motel 6 Bakersfield, CA, located @ 350 oak St. Initially, we booked for four nights and stayed an additional five nights. We had an issue with the toilet in our room that was leaking and clogged. Then, on our second day at the motel, I took my dog out to use the restroom. When the janitor approached me; speaking in Spanish; he told me I was very beautiful and that he had 80$ to be with me.
I told him to hold that thought and went back into my room, where I told my fiancé what had happened. Our toilet began overflowing again; I used the plunger to unclog it enough to flush. While I was doing this, my fiancé went to the office. Coming back into the room, he tells me the same janitor was on the way to snake the toilet; before I can tell him, I took care of the issue, the janitor comes in. I said I had fixed it already, so my fiancé told the janitor it was alright. Assuming my fiancé is a pimp, he took it as a go-ahead and talk to me. Three times he told him, when the janitor got the clue and walked out of the room, my fiancé followed, having already explained to me that he wanted to let the man know not only is it inappropriate to mix business and pleasure, he was in the middle of a work day, but also that it is not ok to solicit a woman because she is attractive or staying in a motel taking advantage of a woman’s situation.
The janitor said he spoke no English, ran to the office, and turned in his keys and badge. We think he was afraid that my fiancé would get violent with him, but he was not. My fiancé went into the office after him and spoke with the woman on duty at the front desk. She seemed as concerned about it as we were and about 20 minutes later, she called room 124 and told us that within the next day or two, we would be contacted by the manager to resolve the matter.
The janitor showed up to go back to work after taking the previous day off. We planned to stay at this Motel 6 until someone contacted us back like promised. On the 7th day after the incident occurred, we had to scrape together the money to cover our room. We were still waiting for someone to talk to us, we requested that $10.00 be taken from our deposit until a little later when we could cover it. This was when things went from bad to worse. On top of the fact that the janitor, while on duty, propositioned me to have sex for money, my dog got killed chasing some stray dogs that often roamed the parking lot, and my wallet was also stolen from the bed in our room.
Now, we had staff being insulting and racist. Several times the "manager" called my fiancé a [censored]. When questioned as to why no one contacted us about the janitor and why he was back at work, was told we should have called the police. So much for being considerate and allowing Motel 6 to handle it. They then insisted on keeping our deposit because we were late checking out. We were not planning on checking out this day. It took about an hour and a half of pointing out that we dealt with a leaky, clogged toilet the entire time and was violated by the janitor and was called racial slurs there was no cause to keep our deposit, especially since Motel 6 typically doesn't require a deposit paid in cash. I suppose out of guilt they returned our deposit then placed us on the DNR list. We spent the following two days out in the streets and on the phone with corporate. It has been more than 30 days with no contact from anyone.
We always clean up, don't have problems with other guests, and stay to ourselves. I feel that the workers are taking advantage of people affected by the pandemic and unstable economy. Motel 6 has created unnecessary delays and stress in our lives, they have left us out in the streets to sleep, and penny less.

Before I get to the desired outcome I would like to see, I would like to explain why I am so adamant about the situation. I am a survivor of sex trafficking that happened to me from age 13 - 21. I have spent many days at Motels just like the Motel 6 at 350 Oak St. I never experienced anyone standing up and showing concern for the women in these motels working the sex industry. Sexually exploited women believe allowing men to take advantage of our struggle and offering money for our bodies as a means of surviving, is the only answer. Today, I know this is not the answer for me and my life. Twenty years ago, though I would have taken that offer from the janitor, I knew I would have a roof over my head and food to eat. Now, I work hard leading by example to show my two daughters (age 20 and 4) that they never have to sell themselves short for survival or necessities. Had my daughter been with me, and got propositioned, I would have gone to jail that day.
Since this incident has taken place, we contacted corporate again, we were told corporate can not do anything about this situation and that the only thing we can do is wait for the owner to contact us to resolve the matter. I have done some recent research on Motel 6 and the policy and procedures, Mission statement, and ESG commitments. I am completely livid now knowing that Motel 6 has gone out of the way to express their concern and prevention of human trafficking and NOONE IS DOING ANYTHING, about this man while on company time is participating in the very acts Motel 6 claims to be doing everything to prevent. I am insulted; I thank God I have coping skills now to help me with my triggers. Motel 6 needs to do something about the decline in the customer service and the very poor handling of situations, if this training came from Motel 6, as they state in policy then Motel 6 is in trouble, they are teaching staff to discriminate the guest by race, or financial statues. I completely get it looking at things from the team members point of view, and after dealing with so much extra [censored], team members are doing what they know to help keeping things from getting escaladed and preventing unneeded drama. The behaviors of Motel 6’s team members are outright disrespectful and in no way are helping other than making Motel 6 look like liars.
Desired outcome: Motel 6 should become weekly rentals for transitioning living. The janitor fired. Staff needs training. Compensation for every night stayed at Motel 6 in Bakersfield, all locations. Or accommodations until permanent housing is gained.

I stayed Sept. 27th - the 30th. NOT HAPPY.. The Wife & I live in Mexico and drove hours to get to this motel 6, We have stayed there before, It was a OK Place / Motel. This Time was terrible. We had DOCTORS appt and out patient surgery. 1st, I went to the Ice Machine, No Ice, In fact, management & guests said there has not had Ice there for quite awhile. So, How Do I chill my wife her Meds, and to chill a couple of beers, or have a soda without ICE? There is No Fridge in the rooms. So we unloaded are bags, and I traveled for ICE. 2ND, Phone did not work to call my buddy in another room there that a was taking to appts. also. 3RD Heavy Drip in the shower, Called office, They said they would send a repairman for the phone and shower drip when they got there at 11am. They never showed. 4TH The sink backed up, SEE PHOTO'S Called office for repair, They said again that they would send someone. Another No Show, Wife fixed by jamming a metal knife into seal to make it drain, This was ALL IN THE 1ST 18 hours. 5TH The bed had a Sink hole, Nearly flat to the plywood holding the mattress up. It was like a 600 lb man laid there for a month. SEE PHOTO of my hand sinking about 5 inches into the Mattress. 6TH Wife dropped a couple of store bought ice and got a paper towel to wipe up. WOW They must sweep, But not mopped, Floor was so dirt for wiping just a SQFT area, See Photo again, Should see are socks after 1 day of walking on the motel floor to bathroom and back. We wore are flip-flops for the rest of the time that we were there. 7TH When we were packing up to leave on the 30th, The wife, Always look around for something that we may have forgot, and She found Gum on the floor between the bed and night stand / table. AT Check in they handed us are towels. Took pic's of the paint fall off your building, You need to address some of these problems. Email me

I made reservations on monday for 4 people 2 rooms.
when we got there they made us all go in to show id's and said they might have rooms available. we said we have 3 cats. they said we can only have 2 cats. really? one more cat is going to make a big difference during a hurricane? so we said we would leave one in the car and my husband would stay with him most of the time. then i said we have a bird. she freaked out and said no birds at all! it's a flipping hurricane! by law arent you supposed to allow pets in all hotels and motels? she said not us.we have rules.oh dumpy motels have rules!?

Being put on DNR list.
I have stayed at all motel 6 in southern California. For always ai use motel 6! Then one night we got put on the DNR list in Stanton California. Just because there was a misunderstanding about who was in the room which was incorrect we got DNR . We asked if f we could discuss the misunderstanding but the lady at the counter would not discuss it. We would like to be removed immediately from that list. Motel 6 has good rates we bring our dog and has been great for us for years now it is causing stress and upset family because we can't be close. Can we do this soon please

Forceful entry by staff and security
At 10:40pm we started recieving a loud banging at our door demanding entry. The security officer was with the desk clerk and his drug dog. Upon getting to the door we inquired what was going on. Thats when the agressive security demanded entry to search the room because of suspected smoking in the room. We were in bed naked at the time and was not the source of the smell in the hallway. It took 3-4min to get dressed, as we are disabled. One is a retired vet and the other has a crushed spinal injury from hitting a moose. We do comsume cannabis and even have medical cards. It took us longer than they wanted to get clothes on and they were actively trying to open our door. The suspected smell in hallway was not pot he said. After we opened the door is when the drug dog was brought into the room. There was no hits by dog or any drug smell. The cannabis odor was from unsmoked cannabis in jars from a hightimes judging testing kit. We are journalists with colulms in diffferent publications. We had yet to start testing anything. But i had started my article outline of 5 articles i will be writing for hightimes magazine and the anchorage press.
We are alarmed at what occured. Our rights were walked over and disturbed us to the point that we could not go to sleep. We even had to leave instead of becoming scammed. We felt that the room was targeted, as security stated hes been smelling pot from this room for three days. At that time we stated we just got here from the valley at 6pm today. Thats when security stated he could not smell any drugs in room and the dog didnt react. He said we could smoke pot outside. I asked if it was legal to smoke outside in public. He said it was legal and i run this place. I did not see any benches or chairs outside. I am unable to stand for more than 2-5min from crushed vertebre. Cant smoke in my uhaul rental. With a cannabis medical card arent we allowed to consume our medicine indoors and use our needed medications? We paid a security deposit for the room, which should have covered any odor problems. The forceful entry, without any previous call or request to enter violates the needed 24hr notice and at a reasonable time. We were in bed, naked, trying to go to sleep. Tv was off, radio was off. Lights were out. 10:40pm is a late hour and did not warrant a police dog and aggressive security guard, (off dury police officer). The open or im coming in attitude was so aggressive that we truely wonder of this is a scam that is being run to take advantage.
Desired outcome: Undercover investigation of possible fraud being run to steal and harrass tourists and those unlucky enough to choose this place to stay.
Horrible conditions unsafe environment
I booked a night stay for my son traveling cross country. He arrived late in the evening only to be confronted by loitering in the parking lot and using drugs. The the room was dirty and the shower curtain was moldy. I heard about this the next day after he left. I called and got the run around over an over again. I made many call and emails to the corporate office which they took zero responsibility.

Quality of Service and Cleanliness
I recently stayed at your 2992 W International Speedway Blvd Daytona Beach Fl location. The room was dirty. There were old urine stains on the floor next to the toilet. The bar holding the towels fell off the wall was not secured. We never got our room cleaned after mentioning it 3 times. We were there 4 nights and had to use the same towels and wash cloths the whole time there. We encountered the cleaning crew and asked and told them we wanted the room cleaned and fresh sheets, they said no because of pandemic and didn't even leave anything for us to change ourselves. In the first of 4 nights I asked for extra pillows at 8:45am, they ended up getting them to us and only 1 when we asked for 2 at 11:45pm!
The people living in the room next to us kept us up at night with their drunken fights.
I want compensation for this terrible stay. I was there with my fiancé for the races which was another problem with rain all weekend but to come back to a dirty room and never get results is unacceptable and will be reported to health dept if not rectified immediately. I will currently never use motel 6 again and pay the extra money somewhere else if this is the type of service I am going to receive. Management didn't seem to care and was not helpful at all. It was more like we inconvenienced them. Couldn't even park in the parking lot as there was no empty spaces.
Desired outcome: I want compensation!! and they should be reprimanded.
Unacceptable rooming
My girlfriend and I stayed at motel 6 in Owensboro on Fredrica St. and a hour into our stay we were being bitten by bed bugs and she went to the front desk for a refund and was denied so we slept in our car for the night until management was to arrive and was told they wouldn’t be in until the following week. This was on Wednesday the 24th of August 2022.

This was absolutely the worst stay I have ever had! I travel a lot for work and I’ll drive past this hotel before I stay here again….. checking in was a disaster and your staff needs education on how to help people get what they want… I had booked a queen or full smoking but needed ground floor… I have a child with Down syndrome who has issues with stairs .. I was told no smoking rooms on the ground floor and i was so tired I was ok I just want to shower and sleep… I get to the room and had to shoulder my way in because the door was jammed… get inside no refrigerator or microwave which was listed as an amenity on the site…. I called and asked for another room with a refrigerator… coming down the steps my daughter almost fell! Which is what I had told the young boy at the desk… then I get to the counter and guess what?!?! They had a double bed smoking room on the ground floor with a refrigerator and microwave! For only like $10 more! Why he didn’t offer that when I first got there! Room we got was dirty but at that point I’d been there an HOUR to check in! I could have just driven an hour more …. Sad just sad that this ruined motel 6 for me!

No air in hotel
I rented a room on the second of July at a motel 6 on country club and hibbert licatef near sun slash when I got into my room it was hot but assuming maybe I needed to turn the air down I tried then took a bath when I got out of the tub it was still disgustingly hot so I got dressed and went to talk to the office when I got up to the office there were office workers and other motel customers outside so I asked the lady that rented me the room if she could have someone e check my air that’s when she said no one has air in there rooms so I I was so exhausted from moving out of my condo in to storage I just went to Walmart and bought a 30 dollar fan I didn’t need but couldn’t get to any of mine in storage it made it easier to sleep but still was hot and gave me a headache the entire night and next day . I called and complained the day after but I was still not feeling good for a few days after. I know the lady in the office knew the rooms where without air but never disclosed that when I paid almost 90 dollars to stay that night . The building had a huge fenced off box type machine in the back I’m guessing was some sort of generator it was obviously there before the day I rented the room and obviously something to help bandaid a bigger in addressed issue I would like my money back and got the fan as well for being lied to basically and my time and aggravation for having to go out but a fan and try to sleep . A/c not working
I asked for a new room since the compressor on the unit kept short cycling. If you walk barefoot, the floor was wet. The lady at the front desk didn’t want to transfer me or reimburse me the money back. I wasn’t asking for anything special.

Accused of breaking in and put on DNR list
Anaheim Maingate, CA, I've been staying at this motel for a while and the customer service has always been great they are helpful, but this last time I went I got checked in by the manager, who since the beginning I felt like he was judging me, he checked me in, got to my room 1 min later he knocked on the door and said I gotta leave, because he ran my portfolio and said that I was put on the Do not rent list, he stated that I've been breaking into rooms and and stealing, he said me and another person were doing that but didnt give me this other person's name and said that my name was given when they reported it, that he also reported it to the police and notify them, I was in shock, he told me to go to the front to get my refund and to leave the property, makes no sense to me because if it was true why would be going back to the same motel, im sure they have cameras and can see the dates and time and person who committed these supposedly break ins but at this point I feel like he was just like I said judging, I know he can see all the times I have stayed there, which really sucks because I liked staying there, but the staff are very nice so very helpful, but I dont know this point what to do

May 24 2022 First off says has a pool sure does with no water in it 2nd says free wifi no password needed in fact has 3 different access points all open not 1 would stay connected and if managed it was with 1 bar 3rd I sat my drink on nightstand went to shower came back and was covered in ants looked over because saw something out corner of my eye and was a Lil black beetle looking bug crawling on bed very similar to a black carpet beetle but no carpet in room 4th constant noise from room above such as stomping and what sounded as a chair on hardwood floor being drug back and forth up til 3am 5th awesome pet policy thank goodness but came across a couple of people afraid of my dog and only 1 way to my room which was right by them no choice
Refund of Alaska air miles not honored
I reserved a one night stay at the Motel six at woods crossing in bountiful Utah on May 7, 2022. I placed my reservation through Alaska Airlines hotel bookings and used my available points as a purchase for that night. I was traveling from new Plymouth Idaho to bountiful Utah to attend my granddaughter‘s wedding. The day before I was to leave I became very ill and wasn’t able to make the drive to Utah and at that point I had to cancel my reservation. I was very disappointed that Motel 6 would not honor that cancellation request and refund the miles back to my Alaska Airlines account. I use Motel 6 as often as possible when I travel and have done so many times in the past. I am retired and 73 years old And on a strict budget. I would appreciate you to consider giving my mileage back to my Alaska Airlines account. Alaska Airlines has reached out to you on this matter and you have declined too refund my miles used to purchase this reservation.

Room stay rate
I had a problem with paying full price of 104.50 for stay on may 20th to may 21st and was not very satisfied. Paid a full amount for basically nothing no tv no amenities just had couple towels and one bar of and room phone. But main problem was broken antenna after switching cords and no tv what so ever and complained to customer service i received only a 10 dollar discount for inconveniences which i think didn't seem fairplayed.what can you do to make this right for me ?

this is the most uninjoyabe place I have ever stayed. Everday I had to go to their office to have my room key replaced because it wouldnt open the door to the room. I paid for my employee to stay one night at motel 6. On April 27 my bill was $86 for the night.
