service I received on the b9 bus.
On Thursday, December 20, 2018 I was waiting for the B9 bus at Flatbush Avenue and Avenue S at approximately 10:am. I saw the bus and stood at the curb. The light was red and five cars were ahead of the bus. I saw the doors open but the bus was in the middle of the street and it was at the entrance to the Rite Aid parking lot. When the light changed green I...
Read full review of MTAf train service on december 11th 2018 tuesday during 5pm rush hour
There should be no reason why anyone should be waiting 15 min on a platform for a train during rush hour. Then the F train finally comes in to a crowed station and everyone is cramming in because they are tired from a long day at work. Come on MTA I'm tired of the excuse of signal problems or sick passenger every other day. Please get it together. And no, jacking up the prices doesn't help because all the other fare hikes have not produced any results. Just fix what you need to fix. Give us better service and then we'd want to pay for something that is worth it.
new staten island express bus route changes
If I could give a negative rating, I absolutely would. Why were these changes made to an already working system? It makes absolutely no sense to have not on bus riding up the east side of the city and take away so many stops in Staten Island. Whoever came up with the bright idea to do this is an absolute [censored] and doesn't give a damn about Staten Island or its residents who rely on riding the express bus every day. I've even spoken to the bus drivers themselves and they all say that they weren't consulted about what changes need to be made. If anyone would know about the best way to make changes on a bus line, it would be the drivers who are on the routes every single day.
Thanks to the idiot head honcho for the absolute confusion you made to a system that ran just fine. You've succeeded at adding another level of stress to an already chaotic and stressful commute.
Go back to the suburbs where you came from in Canada.
left stranded one mile from my destination
My customer number is ID-107-8786.
Today, November 13, 2018, Tuesday, I had an appointment to see my family physician, who is only a ten-minute car ride from where I live. Since I had both surgery of the heart, and a knee operation, I needed to go for a follow-up
visit. Because of my surgeries, and I'm an elderly, over 80 years old person, I need to use the MTA's Access-A-Ride service, my Client Number is ID-107-8786. They were supposed to pick me and my Home Attendant at 11:00 AM, here in Brooklyn, NY. They showed up half-an-hour later. Then when we got in, the driver told us that he was late in picking up this other lady, and instead of taking us to the address I was supposed to go--TEN MINUTES AWAY, instead went to this other address, about HALF-AN-HOUR away to pick up this other lady. When we got to that address, at
12:30 PM, the driver told me and my Attendant, that sorry, he was running late and told us to get out, in the rain, and call the main MTA Access-A-Ride office to see if they would send a taxi to pick us up. The driver told us that MTA Access-A-Ride would send a taxi, in FIVE MINUTES, to pick us up. At this point, when my Attendant checked the GPS on her cellphone, we were ONE MILE away from where we were supposed to go. After waiting for HALF-AN-HOUR, at 1:00 PM, we had to hail a taxi that was passing by, so that I could make my doctor's appointment on time, which was 1:30 PM. I am absolutely OUTRAGED by the bad service and poor treatment that we get from the MTA access-A-Ride. Those who us, who are elderly or disabled and on a tight income, have few options: either take MTA Access-A-Ride and be subjected to all kinds of abuse, poor service and treatment, or pay a private taxi, using our very limited financial resources. This particular driver DOES NOT deserve to be working this job if he is so abusive to his clients.
si express bus sim3 route
Hello. I hope you know me by now. I only write complaints here every other week due to this terrible new system that SI Transit has instituted with the express buses. Let me tell you about my experience today. It's truly a great one. I left work early to arrive at my bus stop (5th/55th) to head home to SI at 3:00. I checked the timetable online last night to see that a bus leaves Central Park at 3:10. I planned it so that I would be at my
stop in time to catch my bus (SIM3). Well boy was I in for a rude awakening when it didn't come for the next 50 mins. In the interim, 5 SIM8s passed by (I guess it was a slow day considering the 8s pass by every 5 mins an hour). Everyone waiting at my stop for the SIM8 was serviced for each stop, yet I stayed standing at the stop, braving the rain, wind, and cold, while I waited for my bus. I checked my app to start. It said it was 8 mins away at 3:09 and the next was 23 mins away. That's a large time gap if you ask me, but I didn't mind knowing I'd be on the bus at 3:17. This was very accurate to the time that was listed on the stop's timetable itself that said the bus should arrive at 3:18. So I waited knowing my bus should be arriving shortly. At 3:14, I check again. The bus said it was 3 mins away which was right on track with the initial time that was stated. However, at 3:15 I begin to get skeptical of the bus coming so I checked another app to see that there was not A SINGLE BUS COMING ON THE MAP. Already distressed due to the disappointment and lack of punctuality the MTA constantly displays, I waited for the second bus (that the app said was on its way) to arrive. At 3:22 my app said it was only 10 mins away. This also would have been correct with the times displayed at each stop since my stop showed the second SIM3 should be by me at 3:33. Now entirely wet from the rain and shivering from the cold wind, I check my other app at 3:26 to see where the bus is on the map. And YET AGAIN, there was NOT ONE SINGLE BUS ON THE MAP. I go back to my transit app to see if any of the times updated and soon realized that in fact, none of them were updated AT ALL. It said that the SIM3 was still 7 mins away. Now at this point, I am filled with rage. Not only did I leave work early to catch an early bus home, but I was depending on that bus to be there. I had a very early flight that I had to make and when you are depending on transportation to get you one place to another, you'd expect the service to be accurate and accountable. Well, the MTA, specifically with its SI routes and services, has displayed absolutely nothing but poor timing, lack of care for its customers, and untruthful timetables. So as I CONTINUE TO WAIT FOR 38 MINUTES FOR A SIM3 TO ARRIVE, I check my app to see that not 1, but 2 buses BACK TO BACK will arrive at the stop in 3 mins. Well 3 mins later can you guess what happened?! My bus DIDN'T SHOW UP! What a surprise! WOW! At 3:44, two buses were shown to be 0 mins away and do you think that they were? OF COURSE NOT. At 3:48 my bus FINALLY arrived and not only did I have to flag him down as he drove past us, but I had to run into the middle of the street in order to get on the bus. So all in all, I'd say my experience taking the bus today has been just nothing short of predictable and everything from disappointing to unacceptable. At this point I'd like to ask you, what does it take in order to be serviced by the SI Express Bus? Must one live on the South Shore in order to feel like a valued customer? It's evident that everyone from the South Shore is being serviced and their routes are being changed and people are having buses come often, but what does that leave for the rest of the ENTIRE ISLAND? Are we not valued enough? Do we not live far enough? Is our commute back and forth every day for 2 hours day and night making it 10 hours a week commuting not hard enough already? Are you trying to make it harder? I'm so curious to see what the MTA thinks. Because it's clear, especially now, that they most certainly don't think at all. Are buses being cut for no reason? Are drivers taking longer breaks because they do not want to pick up passengers? I refuse to accept the excuse that the buses are late because of inclement weather because truth be told, in rain or shine, the SIM8s arrive all the time. And so does every other bus BUT THE SIM3. Changes must be made. Management must be changed. Customers will no longer ride if they have to wait for 1 hour!
I will no longer accept this lack of action to edit the current routes. I will most definitely not stop complaining because our voices have a right to be heard. The MTA services it's customers. We do not service the MTA. We do not wait for when the MTA's bus drivers decide to show up. At times the MTA has sent staff to monitor each bus stop on the island and in the city. With clipboards in hand, they helplessly stand at the stop keeping track of who really knows what, and hopefully reporting back with data to their office. Well last week, a man was on my bus. His snoring was hard to miss. He did not wake up for a single bump, honk, or jerk from the bus. His snoring persisted for the entire ride through the city and onto the island. On my way off the bus, walking down the steps I take a quick look at the man who's attracted so much attention during this trip to realize who he was. In his bright yellow and orange safety vest with an MTA hat on his head and clipboard on his hand I realized: this was the man that should have been recording the data about each stop. This was an employee of the MTA that had missed the amount of lines at each stop, missed the amount of people getting on at each stop, and been asleep for the commotion of customers trying to find a seat on a full bus while he was taking up one of them for his happy hour siesta. What does this say for your employees? What does it show us? You choose to leave the future of our commutes in the hands of people like this?! It's immensely despicable. The service the MTA provides is not even worth a dime!
Lastly, I would appreciate if when the MTA responds to a complaint that I do not get a generic message that is copied and pasted from a template. Maybe if the MTA instilled the importance of customer service to its employees, then customers wouldn't feel so unheard. I guess we'll never know the answers to the questions and I guess I'll never get home. Have a lovely day.
SIM35 Express bus from staten island to manhattan
This is the fourth complaint of this particular bus driver that refuses to stop at Maiden Lane and water street in Manhattan in the morning coming from Staten Island even though it is a stop. The other express busses (SIM5 and SIM15) all stop at Maiden Lane and Water Street in manhattan. Other bus drivers of the SIM35 also stop at Maiden Lane and Water Street in Manhattan. According to the map, Maiden Lane and Water Street in Manhattan is a stop and has not been changed. This Hispanic bus driver is rude and has said he will not stop at Maiden Lane. He makes people get off either at Wall Street and Water Street or go all the way to Fulton Street and Water Street. Passengers have asked and he just makes an announcement that there is no Maiden Lane. He has gone so far as to say that he is going to make sure that none of the other bus drivers stops at Maiden Lane so they will not be any favoritism. I have reported this and have complaint numbers: [protected], [protected] and [protected]) and Nothing is being done. This rude man continues to refuse to stop at Maiden Lane and Water street and makes an announcement each morning "There will be no maiden lane" I board his bus in Staten Island at approximately 7:16 a.m.
Why is nothing being done? This has been one month now of complaints submitted. I have spoken to other passengers of this bus driver's bus who have also stated that they have either submitted complaints or have phone in complaints. WE NEED HELP. Please can someone help us as winter is coming and this extra two to three blocks that many women especially are forced to now walk because this man refuses to stop is very very daunting.

Thank you mta for proving that you are nothing more than a joke. A laughing stock. I work in Soho and I have to take a train all the way to 42nd st because some genius decided to have the buses that run down Broadway, not run during rush hour. So anyway, now that you decided to change all the buses that had nothing wrong with them, I have to catch the bus all the way on 42nd st. I get out at 2:45pm sometimes 3pm. Why on earth am I getting home after 6?! Why am I paying 240$ a MONTH for an "Express" bus that isnt too express... and I still have to transfer! I get out of work early enough to actually run some errands and get stuff done after work. Or ya'know maybe even enjoy myself after work, but I cant. I cant because I'm spending hours just trying to get home because of what you did to these buses that had nothing wrong with them in the first place. It should not take over an HOUR to get through the tunnel when I'm getting on at Madison and 42nd. A JOKE! I had to cancel all the appointments I have after work, not because I dont have enough time, but because you're buses and drivers are [censored]ing horrid. So thank you mta, sincerely, thank you, for proving everyone right about how bad you really are.
sim 26 bus stop at 53rd st manhattan
The bus stop was moved from the corner of Lexington Ave and 5nd st to the middle of block Between 52nd and 53rd st.
The express buses and the regular city buses all stop in the middle of this block. This has posed a problem.
There have been a number of days when the SIM26 did not stop at this stop because one of those extra long city buses had arrived ahead of it. This is the bus that is suppose to arrive at this stop at 4:42pm appox. This last occurred on Oct 18, 2018. The express bus could not pull up behind it because there was no room so he simply kept going. He could have pulled up in front of the other bus but choose not to. I have seen other buses pull up in front of a bus at this stop to pick up passengers but of course they had to walk half way up the block while the bus waited for them.
Please separate the city buses from the express buses at this stop. It was much better when the express buses stop at the corner and not in the middle of block.
bx 39 the bronx
Last week my 13 year old daughter wanted to get off on Van Nest & White Plains Rd(10/4/18) the Freaking Bus Driver decided not to let my daughter out & close the door on her F!king Arm & drive up to Tremont & White Plains Rd! So my daughter gets off & I'm still waiting for someone to get back at me because everyone saw what happened to her right but my daughter didn't get a chance to get the number off the VERY HORRIBLE FAMOUS 39!, And now today 10/11/18 my oldest daughter is was waiting for the 39 bus going to Layfette & White Plains Rd(Her School) & 3 39 buses passed & of course she doesn't have her school metrocard yet & all 3 39 buses told her no to get off the bus! NOT ONLY AM I UPSET BUT THE 39 IS AWFUL & thanks to a good friend, I'm getting the video from when the first incident happened to my lil one TO TAKE FURTHER ACTION! 39 bus services are bad & now I must take further action so that something can be done because I don't know how you guys hire these inexperienced, heartless, DISRESPECTFUL DRIVERS! THANK YOU!
x27 service
For the past few weeks the service of tue X27 has been infrequent and unreliable.
In the morning tue 730 on service has busses full with parrons unable to board at all in Bay Ridge.
In the afyernon starting at 4pm by Barclay bises are in frequent. 1 X27 for every 3 X28s. Also passengers in lower manhattan are left unable to board becaise too ful.
For the coat of express services this needs to be fix. The R train seems more promisong some days.
mta subway attendant
Today I had a horrible experience with an NYC MTA subway attendant at 116th Street subway station, 6 line downtown bound. It was one of the most terrible experiences since I have lived in NYC! Unfortunately, there were train repairs being done on the 4 line. I got mixed up and took the wrong direction transferring to the 6 line walked across the street to downtown bound. So I politely asked the male attendant about my situation and how I got lost and mixed up with directions. I thought maybe he could at least check my Metro-card for time details of my previous trip mishap. This had literally just happened less than 5 minutes ago.
So he immediately refused to even do that, and VERY rudely said he couldn't do anything, and to swipe again. So I asked him, are you sure there is nothing you can do at all? Because sometimes when these things happen, the attendant tries to help and find a solution. He then started to get EXTREMELY upset and started yelling at me very loudly. In complete shock, I walked away as he continued yelling.
I understand if I couldn't get a solution, but the attendant handled the situation rudely and unprofessional. Yelling at a customer, in such an awful manner is uncalled for. I honestly felt threatened in a way.

I was on my way to work on September 29th @ 9:00pm. I was in my car at Burke avenue in the Bronx. Proceeded to get out of my car as I observed the bus coming. There was person standing at the bus stop, however, they were not boarding the express so Me. Felipe continued to drive on. I caught up to him and asked where is the nearest stop so that I may board? He became very hostile and angry. I'm completely confused by his behavior. He then screams I should have never let you in the bus! I asked Mr. Felipe, why are so angry? No one should be treated this way. All my years of riding the express bus this was by far the worst experience I've encountered. The trains are not safe today and now you have bus drivers (express bus) who are now making it unpleasant to ride these days.
sim 1c
The service on sim1c is horrible. Please reinstall the hylan and steuben station. Your service went from bad to worse . Added 15 min walk each way for a total of 30 min a day of walking were before was only 10 min . The busses are not consistent. Long wait and crowded busses is all we been dealing with. Adjustments need to be made asap. People are getting frustrated. Add busses to make service faster and REINSTALL the steuben and hylan station.
express bus service
This morning at about 9:15 am I was at my new stop at McClean and Fr Califano Blvd to get the SIM6. As we we were waiting for the bus to come, we noticed the sign was changed and it looked like the stop was moved! No notice, no announcement, no nothing. How could you make such a change on top of all of the other stupid changes you have made without any notice to riders? Thankfully, the driver saw us at the "old" stop and picked up. When we asked him about it, he said they gave no notice to riders.
I got on the SIM6 at about 8:05 at 46th and Lexington Aves going to SI. The driver is driving erratically and jamming on the brakes. The number on the bus is 2787. Went flying already and my seat is bouncing all around. He speeds up, slows down and the brakes way too hard. He is honking way too much also. Last night he did not even pull to the curb. I had to ask him to put the stairs down. All of the drivers seem extra grumpy lately - must be the ridiculous New Express Bus routes in SI.
new sim express bus routes
The newly revised staten Island express bus routes do not save any time! On the contrary, I now get home 20 minutes later than I used to. Commuting back to Staten Island I used to have the option of taking the X11 or X12. Now if I catch the new X12, (the SIM34) there are only 4 (YES FOUR! ) SIM34 /hour running at rush hour. And that's if they're not late!
Yesterday I watched 5 SIM1 4 SIM4 and 4 SIM2 buses pass me on Broadway and Chambers while waiting to catch a very crowded SIM34. And to add insult to injury, they have eliminated my stop near Delafield off Watchogue Ave - so I have to walk 3 extra blocks uphill to get home.
Also, if I catch the SIM32 (the old X11) WHICH ALSO RUNS 4 buses an hour DURING RUSH HOUR, I must get off at Woolley Ave because they eliminated my stop at Service Rd and Sheradan Ave. So I must walk an extra 6 blocks!
HOW IS THIS SAVING COMMUTERS TIME?!?!
I can't wait until the winter when I'll be waiting in the freezing temperatures extra long to catch a limited bus and have to walk a longer distance to get home.
THSNKS FOR NOTHING MTA!
rude bus driver
On 9/17/18 @ around 7:53am me & my children got on the M100 bus 4332 going down 125th to the east side, my 13 nor my 16yr old have there student metro cards yet. The bus driver took upon herself to tell my 16yr old with a very nasty & rude attitude excuse me your not gonna swipe so my daughter turns around & tells her I don't have my school metro yet so then the driver said I'm not a mind reader so then the bus driver turns to me & asked your mom so I said yes she then says you need to check your daughters attitude so I said will but she's going to speak to you the same way you speak to her. I said shes a student thats trying to get to school. The driver said she don't care that she can put my daughter off the bus so I said no you I can't, give me your badge # so I can make a complain she refused but I got the bus #.
staten island new express bus routes
I am so frustrated everyday with these new schedules and routes, I am waiting alot longer for a bus, used to take the x12 which is now the new sim34, this bus is always full and is coming less frequently. Worked late last night and coming home I waited over 30mins for a bus I did witness SIM4 buses come by but not any SIM34, not to mention that last bus is supposed to be at 7Pm, I used to take the X17 as an alternative but that first stop by Lambert's lane coming home has been removed so if I take that bus which I believe is the SIM8 leaves me more than 1 mile away, please fix these routes and add more buses to our sim34 line
I am also very frustrated with the new Staten Island express buses routes and schedule. Going into Manhattan, I used to take the x17J, which used to go down 34th Street to 5th Ave. Now, the new Sim8 takes 42nd Street and the traffic on 42nd street is horrible. It takes almost 30 minutes just to get down to 5th Avenue. Going back to Staten Island, I take Sim3 and it is always full and comes every 30 minutes. Yesterday, while I waited for the Sim3 on 32nd Street, 7 to 8 buses Sim10 passed by and most of buses were empty. I know the MTA is trying to improve the service but please continue making changes to the route and schedules.
bus driver not following mta rules
At 10:45 pm on 9/10/2018 I took bus # 658 of line Q 38 at the first bus stop at LIE north side by the gas station in front of the seven eleven.
I requested him to stop on 98th st and Christie but he refused . It was raining. However, raining or not he has the OBLIGATION to stop if it is safe after 10: 00 pm any place on his way.
I got off the bus and warned him clearly about this complaint. " I don't care " was his answer.
We do not need this bad apples on the road. I will pursue with this claim all the way.
This is not the first time this driver refuses to stop after 10 pm for me.
It is unclear if due to the fact that I'm not African American like him or perhaps for my Spanish accent he is acting that way.
sim15/ richmond rd & midland ave express bus stop removed
This stop was removed for no apparent reason. A number of people (3-5 at minimum) using this stop to/from each express bus. Before the change, if there are no people waiting, buses just passed this stop without even slowing down. New stop is almost 6 blocks away to both directions and walking along the Richmond Rd in the morning is extremely unsafe and dangerous, since cars and buses travel with great amount of speed and very close to the sidewalk. Weather conditions, such as rain or snow, will make this walk even more dangerous and absolutely unbearable. Please reconsider and reinstate the express bus stop at Richmond Rd and Midland Ave.
bus sim service
We need the stop on clove and hylan back .
We need more sim 10 busses .waiting for the bus for 20 min and walking to the next stop another 10 min each way. Definitely not a good service . This service went from bad to horrible. Adding 30 min to the commute for people will result on mass complaints. Add busses and time them so the schedule is constant. This morning there was no sim 10 for 20 min and then ofcourse when it comes is packed . The next bus 17 min away and then 1 min after that another one. Very unstable schedule. I am sure you can verify all I am saying is true . Please provide us with more bus and reinstate the clove and hylan Blvd station. It's a stop that is in one of the busiest intersection and has people from all around the are that now have to walk 10 min out their way and that's not fair to us and definitely not a good service by any standards.
