Return / cancel my order
I bought a swim suit yesterday and found a better deal somewhere else. I go to cancel my order the same day and it says I have 0 purchases in my history. It was 9pm so I waited the next morning to call customer service. She was literally no help and couldn’t even answer how long I have to cancel an item. Only reason why I shopped here was because I had a gift card.
Rude cashier
A cashier lady named Ashley W.’s interaction with us was rude. It was clear that we were not welcome. She treated us as if we were there to ask for a donation from her. We spent $121.86 and it should have been more. We did have other items we wanted to buy but we asked if she could check for us how much those items cost. She threw the items to the box in the back of the counter instead of checking the price. When my brother tried to use his credit card to pay for his items, the credit card machine didn’t take it right away and he had to redo it a few time (that happens all the time at other places). Ashley said “just tap, swipe or insert - whatever!” It was done in a rude manner. The whole time she did not act friendly at all and we are there to purchase from the store not asking for any favors. I couldn’t believe that was the way a cashier acts toward a customers. My brother and his wife is visiting from Thailand and they could not speak very good English. However, that should not matter to her we don’t think. We did ask politely. Please train your employees at least to have a nice/welcoming attitude towards customers regardless where they are from. Thank you.
Desired outcome: Let me know what kind of consequences you have for Ashley for treating us this way so I can inform other Asian customers.
Bad security guards
I shop at this location a lot and over the past 2 months or so while I was shopping in this store I witnessed shopper stealing from out to the store and just running out with hands full of stuff unpaid and the Security Guards just stand there and do nothing. This is the second time I have been in this store location and saw this happen, the first time it happened I saw one of thieve peppers pray a worker trying to stop them from taking the items. This has gotten out of control and I as your customer do not feel safe shopping in this store location anymore until you get better Security that can actually do something. I mean what if I as your customer was walking out of the store after paying for my items at the sometime this happened as these thieves were running out of the store and I got hit or run down.

I am a customer who lives right around the coroner from this location in the Columbia Crossing Shopping Center. Any day or night I come in to this store and walk towards the back wear the shoes are that leads to the hallway were the bathrooms are and there is a horrible smell coming out of the bathroom. Like dose it ever get cleaned, then when you go inside it is degusting!
Nordstrom Rack
I bought 2 pairs of shoes. Still have the tags on and never worn. Have the receipt, they do not fit. They said I can’t return them. Full waste of money now since I can’t wear them and I can’t return them. I was never told the return policy! Nordstrom you can return at any time. This is very upsetting I will not be returning if this is how things go here

My daughter gave me a jacket to return for her she never wore it. Tags where still on and she emailed me receipt. I showed the cashier it and she laughed called her manger up to front and she was also the rudest person and o no sorry cant do it! I will never shop hear again and will tell everyone I know the experience I had! This was the first time I ever had this ever happen!
Desired outcome: The manger should be retrained to not be rude and i want my money back.
Final sale items
I went to Nordstrom Rack and bought 2 shirts on final sale. I’ve worn large for years and I did not try them on. Get home and realize this was extra large even though marked large. I went to store for exchange for correct size, I didn’t want money back just the proper size. I had the correct size in my hand and they refused to exchange. So I cut up my card and gave a couple of nice shirts with tags still on to Good Will.
Desired outcome: No desired outcome other than to make it clear that even exchanges are NOT possible.
Return policy
I tried to return a pair of shoes on Sunday, 8/28/22.The store # is 113. I was told by a clerk that it was passed the 45 day return policy and they are very strict about it.
I have shopped at Nordstrom for many years and have never had a problem with a return. I guess that’s why I was passed the 45 day policy as I didn’t think it would be a problem. I also was unaware.
The clerk suggested I go to a Nordstrom store as they have more leeway. I the drive down to Clackamas Town Center. I see the store is no longer there. I have not been shopping much since 2020. I drove across the street to the Nordstrom Rack there and again unable to return my item. By then I had driven many miles thru heavy traffic.
I made at least three phone calls to numbers I found online and one from a clerk. Finally, someone suggested I speak with the manager at the Cascade Station Nordstrom Rack. I called and spoke with Maria. She told me to come back in. By this time I’m very upset, on the verge of tears and shaking.
More driving, gas and time.
Maria was so amazing and nice. She did the return and saved my faith in the Nordstrom qualities. I shopped, found new shoes and more! Maria was wonderful! If it wasn’t for her I would never have shopped at Nordstrom again.
Placed order never received
Placed an order, I called Nordstrom Rack due to an email received that said, "items delivered", checked my Ring camera, but nothing or no one was at my house. I called right away to confirm I did not receive delivery. The customer service representative said I had to send an email to the department because they are the only ones to handle that and its by email. I asked for a phone number to call and discuss delivery not received, they said I had to email, they do not use phones.
After numerous emails back and forth, they kept saying that merchandise was delivered, so I asked for proof since my Ring did not show anyone delivering the merchandise. I kept responding to the emails and they kept replying a well with the same "unable to credit due to merchandise received"!
Since I couldn't get anywhere with them, I called my CC and disputed the item. My CC tried to contact Nordstrom Rack and also received the same response that merchandise was delivered. I refuse to purchase anything from Nordstrom Rack!
Desired outcome: No outcome yet, just emails denying me a refund, also not showing proof of delivery on their end.
I had a violent encounter with a man in rookwood store 8/18/22

I was in your Rookwood store around 12-12:30 on 8/18/22. I was heading to dressing room just as a man was shuffling down the isle & he became violent
My my cart as a little out in the isle so as I was saying excuse me sir, he grabbed my cart and shoved it aggressively to the side, then proceeded to yell loudly “[censored] you, in shock I proceeded to dressing room and he yelled “shut your [censored]ing mouth [censored] “ I was scared & alarmed. I waited in dressing room for 15/20 minutes hoping he had left
I looked for him as I approached the check out. I told the clerk about it, she asked me if he had on black glasses, I said yes. I told her he was violent against me & did she not hear him yelling, she said she had been in the back She proceeded to kinda giggle and said he comes in there often. Doing similar things
Not one employee came to see what was happening or if I was ok
I’m appalled that this happened & if I knew his name I would file a police report but evidently your store is not safe.
Please let me know how you are going to handle this. I was in fear of bodily y I was scared to walk to my car but I got no help from your employees.

NWT, Exchange/Return Mens T Shirt
Bought a T shirt from The Nordstrom’s Rack. At the time of the purchase I paid $19.97. Never been worn, NWT (New With Tags) bought it in for a simple exchange of equal the value or less. However, dude to me not having my receipt and me not remembering if I used a credit card, cash, or my Nordstroms Credit card. The rude employee in the customer service department said I wouldn’t be able to do a simple exchange equal the value and they couldn’t give me cash back. (obviously) since the T went on sale since the time of purchase the employee could only give me 1 CENT. YES. 1 Penny! For a T shirt I paid $20 and they had no problem taking my money. Mind you brand new Mens Graphic T, NWT. Talk about a slap in the face. I couldn’t beleive the dumb young girl working in the Nordstroms Rack. I even had to ask her… you’re kidding with me, right? Nope. Not at all. I said… no thank you. I’d rather just keep it or give it to a homeless person instead of getting a penny and not being able to apply that price to another item I found.
P.S. I’ve had other issue with them as well. This isn’t my first time.

Customer Service
June 21st of 2022 was my 2nd call made to the call center. follow-up. I placed an online order on June 2nd that had not arrived. The representative informed me that my order must be canceled. After inquiring, he told me that it maybe lost and he can issue a refund. My size was no longer available.
Since it was not my first time calling to gain information about the same order I asked to speak to a Supervisor. I informed the Supervisor that I had called one week ago, prior to today’s call. Back then, I was told my order will be “arriving soon”. The first Customer Service agent missed spoken. Then, I asked the Supervisor how can this issue be resolved. I still wanted the product. I was willing to purchase the available size. The Supervisor said, he could have the order expedited but then back tracked. He said not all items can be expedited. At this point, he identifies two items in the “warehouse” then tells me it may be gone.
It became apparent that the Supervisor not only did not know how to place an order by phone but he’s was unclear on how to come to a resolve. He said, I can offer free shipping. I let him know I never paid for shipping because my order was over $89. The Customer Service was horrible. So much so, I prefer to shop somewhere else that knows how to rectify a situation with consideration, offers and efficiency.

Shopping at nordstroms rack for a bra. I am a taller woman, not to big, though a bigger body requires larger sizes. Why on earth would the store feel it best to put all the small and extra small sizes on the the top of a 3 tiered round rack and large on bottom? I was literally laying on the floor looking for something I like while the smaller petite lady had her taller friend looking for her. This makes no sense

Bought pair of shoes, walk on them inside and also outside in the back yard, realized they were very uncomfortable, went in to return them 2 days later (from a Tuesday to a Thursday), they didn't accept them because the sole showed that I have been outside of the house . talked to the store manager in San Diego Mission valley; she didn't offer me any compensation, or even the ability to make a written complaint. I specifically asked about this and was denied that opportunity.

Why would you wear the shoes outdoor? You obviously scuffed them enough to make them appear used. Would you purchase shoes from that store that appear to look used?… Yeah I don’t think so!

I am writing to complain about your shipping policy:
I am being told I need to return the item at my expense and then after you receive and process it (I was told wait at least a few weeks on the phone by your rep) I then need to request return of my shipping fees. That's unreasonable as it requires me to remember a detail (calling you a month later) to resolve a problem that is totally your responsibility (you shipped damaged and wrong products). If I forget to request it you just keep my return shipping money on a damaged or wrong product. That money is not yours to keep when you caused the issue.
I'm fine with you holding the return shipping fee... BUT it's your responsibility to make good your error. You need to return the shipping fee once you confirm the error on your part. Don't start acting like Sears... you'll end up like them (ps... I've spent about $10,000 with you in the last two years... BECAUSE OF YOUR COMMITMENT TO EXTRAORDINARY CUSTOMER SERVICE... this is NOT THAT).
Desired outcome: Send me a prepaid return label, or take responsibility for a full refund once you verify damage to the product or that it's not what I ordered.

Thank you for the email regarding my missing item.
First, I would like to inform you that I was disappointed with your reply stating that you have conducted an internal investigation successfully. The email did not seem like you had sympathy for the customer at all. I do not understand how you can investigate internally with my missing item. Did the delivery person take a picture of the package on my actual doorstep, did I magically sign for it and you have my proof of receipt somewhere in your files?
Also, thank you for your recommendation to “pass the buck” and contact the local police for my missing item. Since the item was never delivered to me, even though your “internal investigation” states otherwise, I do not think it’s right to waste the police department’s time over a $100 item when they have more important matters to attend to.
I assumed that a company as noteworthy and dependable as Nordstrom would offer an insurance for online purchases. This would help to gain customer confidence, so customers continue to make online purchases. I strongly recommend that Nordstrom offer at least one kind of insurance for customers when making purchases online so that this does not repeat in the future.

I placed an order on December 2nd, 2021. Received most of the items in a reasonable time but got a box on January 10, 2022 (over 5 weeks post order date) with the last portion of the order which should have contained 3 dresses. Instead, when I opened the untampered package, it contained only two of the three dresses. I contacted customer service immediately and the representative stated that they would submit the information. Today, I received an email stating that the refund was not approved. I contacted customer service again to make an inquiry on why I was not being refunded for an item that was not shipped. I received a second email stating that I need to contact my local police department to report theft. I again replied and informed customer service that no one stole the package…it was just missing an item that was not shipped. I received the other two items. The box was completely sealed. Customer service responded that I should have reported the issue within the first 30 days. I responded that I reported the issue on the day that I received the box and that it was their mishap for shipping it late. They still are refusing to accept fault for not shipping my complete order and are not planning to refund me for the dress that was missing. My advice is to avoid purchasing from this company. Customer service is not a priority, neither is honesty.

I ordered two items December 2nd . Only one item arrived the following week. The second item was not even shipped by Wednesday 15th . I called costumer service and the guy told me that he could not help me because it showed that it was going to arrive December 15. Is already December 17 and I have not received my second item . I call costumer service again an the manager told me that she couldn't refund because it shows that it will be delivered December 20. I have already buy the same item in a different store.I want a refund. I will never buy from this store again. No item and loss my money what a joke.

Misguided Information from Nordstrom Rack
The information is totally clear on Nordstrom Rack website and all other websites that once you applied, approved and did the purchase with Nordstrom Rack credit card, automatically your bonus note at $40 added. I did after 24 hours and checked on my account there is $0 bonus note instead of $40. Contacted Nordstrom Rack by chat, the customer service seemed had no clue how to type, took so long and at the end he just said couldn't help me out but asking me to call. Call 800 number, customer service is far from friendly and telling it needs 7 days to add the bonus note after first purchase. Seriously! When I asked to make sure, she even made it worse by saying it even take 7 to 10 days to get my bonus note. What the stupid marketing Nordstrom Rack, from once approved to end 10 days? Better close your business instead of cheating customers in plain sight!

Unfriendly and rude attitude
This happened today, as of 09/19/2021 at about 12:10pm, in the location of Brea Union Plaza, 2345 E Imperial Highway, Brea, CA 92821 in front of the men's fitting room.
I was waiting for the tailor to have some alteration while the tailor room is in a room next to men's fitting room. The tailor arrived, then this lady serves men's room asked me to go to women's fitting room and the people there will call the tailor.
I was like"?" Then I confirmed with her if she is sure because last time I was sent to the tailor directly and that's why I was waiting for the tailor outside the men's fitting room.
She replied as I was stupid, "Madam, this is men's fitting room".
Come on, I am not blind and not stupid. What you need to do is just let the tailor come out and measure me. And you want the tailor walk to the women's fitting room and come back? Why?
I didn't say anything, but decided to talk to the store manager before I left. The tailor walked over and apologized, but this is not her fault at all and she wasted time walking back and forth too.
Before I left I did talked to the manager and he assured he would talk to her supervisor. I told him being a customer for so many years, this was the first time that I want to complain and I feel bad for her co-workers.
Desired outcome: Please have your employees educated with customer service. What benefit would she get asking a customer and a tailor go back and forth?
