This morning on 27 September 2023 between 9:30 am and 9:45 am, I went into Pick n Pay Shelly Beach. I had choose what I wanted and then approached the tills to pay. I went to till No 1 and a lady by name of Phindile Sikobi was the cashier, I had then kept the basket down and proceeded to take my wallet out of my handbag, the cashier was just staring at me, so I asked her if she not going to ring up my items. She then tells me that I need to take my items out of the basket, so I asked why can't she do that, she says its not her job and the customers need to take the items out of the basket themselves. So I told her that is not customer service and she should be doing that. The cashier seems to be extremely lazy and rude because she didn't even greet. Its obvious Pick n Pay Shelly Beach don't have customer service training and the management there need to training their cashiers. They fail to realize that customers are actually paying their wages. I do understand sometimes you get difficult customers but I was not been difficult at all.I hope this problem is solved amicable and the staff receive the necessary training.
Desired outcome: They need to treat their customers more nicely and stop being rude and arrogant and they will require customer service training to do so.
