Service - Manager (Witnes) and trolley attendees
Me and my wife we visited Pick and Pay, we had to get my wife's prescription at clicks next door we decided to start at Clicks then pick and pay afterwards, my wife was trying to get a trolley and 2x male staff members trolley attendeds harassed my wife pulling the trolley from her they even broke her nail, I called the manager Witnes to come and assist instead he was laughing with the 2x male staff at us saying we don't listen, we always buy groceries at pick and pay on monthly basis. The treatment was not fair to us (Waterfallmall Rustenburg)
Crown cooking oil
On Sunday 03 April at about 18:00 I went to Pick N Pay Promenade to buy 18 2L Crown cooking only to find out by the check out customers is limited to 4 per customer. I ask the Cashier to call the manager then she called her supervisor, the supervisor also told me it's 4 per customer then i told her but their is no notification on the shelf about 4 per customer then the supervisor called the Manager on Duty by the name of Bertram when he came to the check out i explain to him that there is nowhere of limited stock the more he insisted that there was a notice on the shelf. I then challenge him to go with me to the shelf and he refuse to go with me and just walk away.
As a customer for over 20+ years I feel I was treated bad especially from a managers point is that how he treat his customers or is it because its Mitchells Plain Area?
Desired outcome: I would like an apology from the Manager that was on Duty on the night of 03 April 2022.
Clothing
I have written a lengthy complaint elsewhere, bottom line is three items of clothing have shrunk in a cold wash, this is unacceptable. These items came from different stores.
Desired outcome: Please email me. [protected]@yahoo.com I would like a response

Online pathetic service
Hi I ordered online on Friday night, delivery was supposed to be today 9am to 12pm. At almost 2pm I called in to find out where is my order to be told there is a backlog and it may be today later or tomorrow. He says someone should have called me, well that did not happen. This is crazy and unacceptable. I am furious, I postponed a kids holiday trip until 12.30 as I bought some stuff for them to take, it's now 3pm and it was delivered a few minutes ago, I asked for a manager from online to call me, guess what, still waiting. If you were delayed and had alot of orders, you would know yesterday, not let customers wait and tell them after the time. This is completely unacceptable, now we have to delay the trip for tomorrow and if I was told I would have just bought some stuff yesterday for them... I await your call
Desired outcome: An apology and resolution for the inconvenience, order 26134230Camy MonatisaCell [protected]
Injured my arm in store
Shopped at Pick and Pay Strubenvale Springs yesterday and some one wanted to pass in the passage and when I stepped backwards I did not see that there was pallets with stock on at the back and lost my balance and hit my left elbow against the shelves trying not fall. My husband did speak to one of the workers but he did not show any interest in assisting us so I just left it but this morning my elbow is blue and swollen up and sore. I just feel Pick and Pay needs to compensate me somehow because on the 26th I have bought goods from them for R5757.50 and yesterday when the incident happened I bought goods for R3144.70 and injured my arm due to the fact that their stock was standing in the passage and the passages are so narrow and would not have injured my elbow if the stock was not standing there.
Desired outcome: I would like to be compensated in some way like a discount on my purchases of nearly R9000. I have my slips and a photo of my elbow.
Promotional items
On 27/03/2022 I went to the Express Store Maponya. There was a promotion on PnPBraai Briquettes for R60. The cashier outright told me that there is no stock of the lighters and as such charged me the full amount of R65.50. Its not my problem that there is no stock. She should have rather asked that she charge me the R60 without the lighter...
Desired outcome: To refund and adjust to what I should have paid.If there I a rain check policy to be instilled. An apology from the cashier that served me.
Poor service
Farrarmere
At the deli counter there was only one person assisting a que of customers
Pic n pay staff pushed in names Joyce an Patience
Denise a team leader i think tried tto assist as the manger Neville was not present
More staff came to assist the customers after my complaint
Nevulle did arrive i explained and he said he would handle it
I then said is bad that there was no manager on the floor
He then said 'is he not allowed to go to the bathroom
I said no in my job i must make sure there is a replacement before you leave your post
I expected the same in a retail environment
Desired outcome: Bit more respect from management
Employee Attitude
The service of employees at Randburg Square,Gauteng. I wanted to get help claiming the free chicken I got for buying a fridge at PnP Hyper but the employees(who had no name tags), even the supervisor Mokgadi were all clueless and treated me as if I'm asking them to pay for me or they are doing me a favour. I ended up not being able to claim the free chicken cos they just pointed me to the smart shopper machine and didn't bother helping me. This took place on thursday/ wednesday on the 16th of March around lunch time.
Desired outcome: Just train your employees on customer service and next time I expect better service
Fraudulent activities involving their cashiers
On sunday the 20th of march, my husband, daughter and i, went to pnp hyper northgate. My daughter and I went to the supermarket while my hubby went to the bottle store. I got a call from my husband telling me to come pay as his pin was blocked. At that time I arrived at the liquor store and my daughter was already there a bit before me as I asked her to look for him. When I arrived I asked the lady at the till if the card was blocked, she said yes. I used my debit card instead, we left. At 10pm I was going on my absa app and the bank immediately stopped it. Five minutes later a man with a pakistani accent phoned wanting us to give him our detail, we dropped the call. We called the fraud dept. The following day and went to absa branch today and we were told that at that time they tried to steal money out of our card. I phoned pnp today and spoke to a lady called ntombi, who seemed defensive and said it could be a customer who tried to steal our money, she said she spoke to the cashier who said she did not tell me the card was blocked, meanwhile she did, and thus had to use another card.
Desired outcome: I want PNP not to ignore my complaint and for people not to use their cards at Hyper Northgate, their cashiers are working with Pakistani's to clean people's account
Cashier / cash back Zanele Mthimkhulu
We came to the store with my kids at eShowe pik n pay, my groceries came up to 579 however asked Zanele for 500 cash back and she advised me that she will do a withdrawal instead. And she will give me 1079, which I accepted. Upon that when I reached home I checked my phone and it showed that I had done a purchase for 1579 however the till slip shows 579 only. This is a serious offense and I would like my money back as well as petrol money as I will be driving from Ndulinde to get my money back and for Zanele to have her employment terminated.
Desired outcome: I want my money back and the money I am going to be using for petrol. As well as Zanele to have her employment terminated
Pick n pay asap
I put in an order on Saturday, 12 March 2022 at 14h09 for some items from Pick 'n Pay ASAP.
When the order arrived, and the driver had left, we noticed that one of the items were not in the bags.
I immediately tried to phone Pick 'n Pay ASAP, and there was no answer. I then sent an email to them requesting assistance. I received a response from them that they are looking into the matter and will get back to me.
I have since been trying to phone them, email them and even sent a query on their Whatsapp number, however they just seem to ignore their loyal customers.
It is now the 15th of March, with absolutely no response from Pick 'n Pay. This is absolutely disappointing
Desired outcome: I want a refund ASAP.
Customer service
I purchased liquor from the Pick n Pay liquor store opposite the Pick n Pay store in Acropolis and I was told that I could not take it inside nor could I leave it at the parcel counter when I needed to enter the Pick n Pay store. I laughed when I heard this as this was the first time I heard such nonsense and then the security guard asked me why am I laughing. The customer service is pathetic. My mother in law, who doesn't have a cellphone, was inside the store and I had to wait for her outside and I couldn't even communicate with her that I am there. This was a total inconvenience and waste of my time. I regret going to Pick n Pay Acropolis.
Desired outcome: Learn to reasonably accommodate your clients.

Cash @Till
Good Day
On the 12th of March 2022 I was at Pick nPay at Ebony the service was appalling. We waited from 7h51 until 8h01 when they opened their doors and I bought buns and ice tea, I also wanted to withdraw cash R200 and the lady who was assisting me at counter 8 with curly hair and the one at counter 9 with a long bonding just said we don't have money all the tills, there is an Atm behind me proceed to it. Firstly I use an FNB card and I'm sensitive to charges as it will cost me double of my normal rate. They just didn't care whatsoever. No willingness to assist. Please give the cashier at least a minimum of 1000 or 500 float to Carter for withdrawals in the morning until they make deposits. Imagine if I use tyme bank and I want to withdraw yet I can't yet I deposit there. Customer service is what keeps customers coming to your doors. Those ladies need to be taken to training and leave the mentality of assisting in the township clients will be treated as they pleased since no one gets to complain.
Desired outcome: Carter for [protected]@till as the ATM wasn't working and in the manner that my request was handled it was poor. Customer service training is required for the staff
Cereal Bars
Just bought a few things from PnP and to my surprise I opened 1 of the 2 boxes of Cereal Bars and found only 5 bars in the box lokl I wonder who enjoyed the 6th cereal bar and on the box it 6 bars with a logo reading Trusted Since 67, as ****ed as I am I am infact more socked never expected this from PnP. Makes 1 think twice of shopping again at their stores can't be paying full price for half products
ASAP Online
Good morning,
I have decided to make use of your online shopping on 28th February 2022 but ro my regret. I. placed my order 2652757 and ASAP came back with substitutes which I declined and immediately I got an amended receipt showing what will be refunded. However on the order was also 2 x 800g cheddar cheese for R168. 99 which was not with my order upon arrival. The driver said we must deal with ASAP which I must add is extremely difficult to reach by phone. I send probably 10 emails if not more and my problem is still nor resolved.
Service of Pnp Protea North
I bought groceries on the 28th Feb 22 for over R1260.00 of which I was looking for Jacob's Coffee as well then I was told by Esther to pay for it and they will let me know when they receive stock. On Tuesday the 1/3/22 I tried calling the store and no answer then I called customer care line. They called the store and called me back to tell me that the stock will arrive on Thursday and they will call me. Ever since never received a courtesy call from them and I went today 5/3/22 at the store and I got upset when I asked for the Manager no one attended me till I call the Supervisor Esther and explained myself and she never even apologized and driving to them its time consuming. I am not happy with Pnp Protea North
Tills not working properly?
March 5,2022
On February 28,2022 the manager a Mr Faldie phoned my wife and admitted that the reason my daughter could not do her shopping on February 12 and 19 was because the tills, to quote him, were not working as they should and her voucher/card was not swiped property?
Although the money on the card, after being swiped, was deducted the till slip said that there was no money available.
If this is true then it makes one worry with what could have gone wrong with other customers who paid with credit cards, sassa cards etc.
On February 5 took my daughter once again to Pick and Pay.
The Manager Mr Faldie gave my daughter a shopping voucher which went through the till.
After all the troubles we experienced on February 12 and 19 no consideration was given to the unnecessary time and fuel we as pensioners had to spend because Pick and Pay had "troubles" with their till(s)
Desired outcome: Compensation
