A1C Blood Test
9/28/21: A1C result reported a frightening but unlikely 12.
Either the lab screwed up... Or my CGM monitor calibration had gone incredibly bad. Spoiler: my CGM reported the accurate 90 day average of 4.61 - which was confirmed by a later blood sugar test at Quest and a finger stick at my endocrinologist.
Since 2018, I've maintained control via CGM & diet and have had normal or near normal A1C test results since then.
Quest already admitted to lab error on a different blood test at different test site the previous week that required a re-draw.
On one hand, I'd prefer to assume they screwed up this test too but and I was not willing to bet my life on it either. So Quest scared the bejesus out of me until further tests confirmed my CGM readings.
I believe either the phlebotomist or the lab mislabeled or mixed up blood vials. So some poor quest client thinks their A1C is great when in fact it is in the life-threatening range. They need to track this patient down and make good. Otherwise I consider Quest guilty of criminal negligence.
Desired outcome: Notify every one who had an A1C blood draw that day and retest them for free. Refund my insurance company for your faulty testing. Thank me for not suing you for mental anguish.
Unable to contact the billing department. Keep getting advised to call back later. I have not heard back on my e-mail correspondence.
Attempting to have the original codes submitted reviewed. Have sent revised codes twice and have paid the invoice but feel that these test should have been covered under Medicare and I should be reimbursed. Unable to manage to get resolved

Closing at 10:30 when they are scheduled to close at 12 o'clock on Saturday.
Quest Diagnostics - Sarasota University
8451 Shade Avenue
Suite 106
Sarasota, FL [protected]
The workers at this location always have a hard time drawing blood my (others also complain about this) so they rescheduled me for Saturday at 10:30. I got there stood in line with other people waiting to get in. They locked the doors with a line waiting for test. While walking to their cars they told us they close at 10:30.The also told one person who requested their referral back to go somewhere else for her test, " we closed at 10:30 and there's nothing we can do about".
Desired outcome: What ever you feel necessary. Your company is getting a bad name.
Updating Insurance
I have been trying to update my insurance with Quest since I went on Medicare as of 04/01/2021. I tried online but they only had a few private Medicare contractors; I do not belong to any of them.
I tried calling but I either am put on interminable hold or asked to call back.
I need this updated as they have a claim that Medicare should pay.
Desired outcome: Quest update my insurance and put the claim that they are trying to collect from me direct into Medicare for payment before they start trying to collect from me.
blood work that was done
date of service 02/17/20. lab code-KOP invoice no-[protected]. amount-1, 478.42 dollar.my issue is, when i walked-in there, they took copy of my insurance and my id proof . they didn't mention that my insurance did not cover quest lab. since i had my blood work done couple yrs ago i assumed it should cover under my insurance anthem. but when i got the bill it said my insurance does not cover. i was so upset about it. the whole amount my responsibility to pay. it shook me off. i am not afford to pay this myself.. i called my insurance about it. they said something blah blah... now i am receiving bill from collection department. this is not acceptable at all. if that front desk person would have told me that my insurance would not cover quest i would not taken my blood work. They are there to help the patients instead of giving trouble to them. i think, that's their responsibility.
so i am writing this with all frustration and i would need some help from the management to write off this dollars.
I COULD NOT get my report because of a failure to verify my identity and I could not get help even I have tried to contact so much.
Hi, my name is Jiahe Du and my preferred name is Heidi Du. I bought a test for the MMR antibody test which was on 1st Oct and I went to get the test on 5th Oct. The Order number is 999023 and the location is at 233 Nostrand Ave Brooklyn NY [protected]. I did not know the name of the madam who helped me to get my blood. It went smoothly until I failed to verify my identity to get my report. I could not answer any of the questions in the identity verification because they were just like asking someone else. My Quest account name is heidi du. As the first email told me, I had checked the information on my account and it appeared to be totally accurate. What's made me more anxious was that I did not get further help from the email: they did not reply to me for almost the whole week I went to the place, where I got the blood test, to ask for help, they told me to call Quest Diagnostics. But what Quest Diagnostics told me was to find my provider. They are always trying to shifting what they should do which made me so angry. Could you please help me with it? I need to get my report as soon as possible.
My email is [protected]@gmail.com which is also used to make appointment for the test. Please call me again if I did not pick it. Looking forward to hear from you!
Desired outcome: Getting my report of MMR antibody test as soon as possible.
Customer feedback for dot drug test at east point ga location
Atlanta Medical Testing Services LLC. (AMTS) is a new corporate account for Quest. We specialize in DOT drug testing for CDL truck training
I was informed by one of our CDL instructors that he went to this location on Thurs 10/6 for a urine drug screen, waited for 4 hrs before having to leave. He described this as the worst customer service experience. The staff was dismissive and disrespectful to customers.
We will not send any of our customers to this location in future even though it is the most convenient for them.
Desired outcome: Customer service training for your staff and identifying a location that will serve our customers well.
Blood draw
On Thursday, October 5, 2021 @3:15pm, I entered quest diagnostics off Grand Ave in Chino, CA. Two quest diagnostic workers (not sure if they were phlebotomists because no one there identified themselves or had any badge on that identified their title), spoke to me in an extremely rude & inappropriate manner. I had an appt. at 3:00pm that day for my...

I went to this location today for a glucose test and was treated extremely rude by the man working the front desk…He asked if I had an appointment in a nasty tone of voice and seemed agitated from the moment I came to the window…I displayed my appointment proof and he continued to speak to me in an overall aggressive tone…I asked him why he was so rude and he continued to speak to me in a dismissive manner…Another patient complained of how rude he was to her as well…If he doesn't like his job, he should find a new one instead of representing Quest Diagnostics in such a poor manner…I will ask my doctor to send me to request another location moving forward for my lab needs because this location completely turned me out off due to his unprofessional behavior…
Desired outcome: I would like this matter addressed immediately
Gave 5+ tubes of blood. 3 vials prepared for urine. Urine sample given
I had labs blood drawn on 9/29/2021 at 9:23 am at the location on Carrier Blvd in Grand Prairie. Last night get email stating Labs ready. I went on MyQuest today & only lab was a B-12. I tried contacting Customer Service. After going through numerus automated responses, finally put me through. On hold forever (it stated higher than usual call volume) but...
Read full review of Quest DiagnosticsKeep getting send to collection for a bill that my insurance already paid
Hi My name is Catherine Parra-Torres and I am being harassed by a collection agency called ARstrat, because Quest Diagnostics does not know how to handle their internal communications with these agencies.
More than once me I have contacted Quest Diagnostics about a particular invoice which keeps being sent to collection, even though the invoice was paid by my insurance company, United Healthcare Oxford Plan.
In fact, the insurance company has already sent a letter to Quest Diagnostics specifying that the charges for that particular bill were paid by the insurance company as agreed.
I already got one of the Collection agencies, CCS USA, to stop bothering me.
And now another collection agency called, ARstrat, is after me for the exact same charges. Its like Quest Diagnostics can not get their records straight.
I am trying to figure out how to correctly complain about Quest Diagnostics incorrect billing and collection practices.
Thanks, Catherine Parra-Torres.
Desired outcome: Need for Quest Diagnostics to stop sending the ARstrat collection agency after me for an invoice which has been paid.
Driver complaint
I was driving on route 3 south at 2pm Wed 9/15/21. The driver in a white Jeep liberty. License plate S68-033. Car # 08106. Was driving erratically, so as I went to pass them not only did this person flip me off but proceeded to drive faster and in my lane to push me off the road. Where this happened there is road construction so the brake down lane is groved pavement. This is ridiculous of any driver but you're representing a company with commercial plates. Maybe screen these peoples driving records before hiring a nut job.
Desired outcome: Take them off the road
Cancelled appointment
I had an appointment on Thursday, Sept 9th at 3pm at the Quest lab at the address of 2021 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110. When I arrived, there was a sign on the door that said, "Sorry, closing at 2:30." There was no phone call, no text, and no e-mail to indicate that the lab had closed early. I think this is extremely unprofessional and I would like whoever was on shift that day to be advised against doing that in the future. It's not difficult to pick up the phone or send an e-mail letting people know that their appointments need to be rescheduled. I, as well as another woman whose appointment was cancelled without notice, were disappointed in the lack of communication. I took time off of work for this appointment. If I had had a phone call or e-mail indicating my appointment was cancelled, I could have run other errands rather than waste my time driving to the location. Please tell your employees to be more professional. They are medical professionals, are they not? They need to start acting as such. This is not acceptable behavior in a doctor's office or dentist's office, and the same standards should be held for a phlebotomist's office. If you would like to reach me for additional comment, my e-mail address is [protected]@gmail.com.
E-mailed quest.
Haddonfield office and appointment web site
I recommend that you just close the Haddonfield office. It only seems to get worse, never better !
This morning I arrived about 9 AM, signed in and took a seat. There were 4 chairs and I took the last one. Heard a bunch of chatter coming from the back areas but no one appeared for about 10 minutes. When someone came out to the waiting area she had a rather unpleasant conversation with a woman who was there with her son. There were so angry words exchanged and the woman stormed out with her son. The quest person then asked why I was there and I indicate dit was for a blood test at which point she said in a very poor manner "you need to make an appointment I am totally booked today" and handed me apiece of paper with instructions for making an appointment.
Why in the world wasn't there some notice posted in the office. outside the office or even on the first floor elevator that "walkins" were not being accepted today? Trying to make an on line appointment at this location is all but impossible. I'm pretty sure they intentionally block out all the early appointment times in the hopes that people will schedule their appointments elsewhere.
Unfortunately this is just todays poor practice used by this office, it is always something like this that is abusive to customers.
Secondly the quest appointment web site needs a lot of work ! It is slow, confusing and not very user friendly.
Time to do some management work on this site or just close it down !
Desired outcome: Some serious management review and correction
Billing complaint
Quest drew blood 10/23/20. Paid by my secondary BCBS after Medicare $148.48 on 12/02/20. Received printout of payment from BCBS to Quest for above amount stating I owed nothing. Since that time I have received bills from Quest for the above stated amount and I have called, submitted forms to show payment and spoken to reps to get the situation resolved, all for naught. Last bill came yesterday and stated final notice and going to a collection agency unless paid. The photos I have enclosed are the same ones I have sent to Quest on numerous occasions with any pertinent information that was requested.
I think Quest is trying to double bill for the procedure and hoping I will get tired and pay. I have a great credit score and not willing to lose what I have worked for. Thanks for any assistance you may provide to quickly resolve their mistake and negligence. R. More
Desired outcome: Bill was paid with apology and withdrawal of submitting to collection agency in a letter and email that I may keep for my records.
Being denied service for outstanding bills
Hello, I'm repeatedly being denied psychiatric care for having "outstanding bills". I have both Fidelis and Medicaid, and both companies are only denying to cover my bills when the billing department sends them out months late. This is absurd and shameful.
It is not my responsibility as the patient to do the job of your billing department, and I'm being denied care for someone else not doing their job. My insurance should cover everything in full. They only deny coverage when my bills are sent out months late.
This has happened every time I have tried to make an appointment with my psychiatrist in the last year. My care is put on hold because you want money I do not owe. What do I have insurance for? What is the job of the billing department?
I have once again contacted them with my insurance information. I am once again out of medication because of greed and negligence.
This is absolutely shameful, and no wonder there are so many homeless psych patients wandering the streets.
Desired outcome: Billing department does their job on time, stops making this my problem.
Random text claiming I have a bill
Got a random text claiming I had a bill invoice to review via the website link I did NOT click on and a phone number to call.
I was feeling in the mood to tell off a scammer so I called the number and after ages of waiting was greeted by a thick accented foreigner who claimed he needed more than my name to do anything. I asked to be reassured about the legitimacy of this business and was informed ever so rudely that I could just google it.
Anyway I told them that is very suspicious and I would not be providing ANY information and that they could take their scam and stuff it.
phone # provided was [protected] By all means call them and waste their time when you are bored.
DO NOT PAY THEM! ITS A SCAM.
Desired outcome: Shut them down
Wait time
I was told to go get my labs done at quest diagnostics in Branson Missouri and I also had to wait for 2 hours before I got them done. I don't know why I can't still get my labs done at mercy clinic in Branson west Missouri and she wanted a credit card when she was done drawing my labs witch I do not have a credit card, I do mail in bills with checks.
Horrible treatment / personnel do not want to work
Dear Quest Diagnostics, I'm writing to you in regards to an specific location at 13808 SW 8th St., Miami Fl 33184. Please supervise this location for the company's sake. All employees there do not want to work, they treat patients poorly, and put any excuse to not assist you. I just had to cancel my appointment because they were just missing the doctor...
Read full review of Quest DiagnosticsUnprofessional service and horrible customer skills
We arrived at Randalls Quest in Clay rd, Houston TX on July 29th of 2021 i went to fo blood work for my son. We entered to sign in then before doing anything the asociate SHOUTED from inside you need masks, she did not even welcome us in and then tell us guys you ll need masks, so we said we don t have any and we are vaccinated. She answered rudely "oh we don t give them out they sell them in the store" while moving her hands for us to go outside in the store . We managed to get 2 then we entered and gave her the doctor's papers and she dtarted to draw blood from my son's left hand, she pushed the needle heavely my son felt ot painful and she moved the needle in his arm while exchanging the blood tubes ( 4 of them), my son said he felt the needle move. Then when we left he was feeling pain then 2 hours later we removed the bandage to find a blue bruise and blood under the skin around the area she drew blood from, since then he feels pain he cannot move his arm freely. You need to give people that you hire real hands on training and customer service training courses. People come to a lab already sick and sometimes tired and fasting, don t give them a hard time and pain as well this completely unprofessional. You need to be professional and fair towards your patients. We thought to sue but we reverted first to narrating the horrible experience and see how do you deal with your patients.
