Quest Diagnostics
I want to a report security breach of change of test results. In 2014 to now, my test results were comprised via the Quest portal through doctors office. My spouse was hospitalized for it as well as it cause the demise of a family member. I have contacted the police and they advised to report it to this portal. After investigation, the breach originated out of Willis Texas. Additionally, this breach has reach my entire family medical records.
Desired outcome: Secure portal and accurate results
Unable to schedule appointments
It is almost impossible to schedule a lab draw appointment at quest. I have to wait at least a few weeks until something becomes available, and even then it's extremely difficult to find an opening on a date/time that works for me. This includes searching at every location within a 35+ mile radius. For some reason the few sites closest to me are "temporarily closed" and have been for months. Forget walking in - it's not even worth trying. Maybe it's something they can't do much about, but it is definitely frustrating.
Desired outcome: More open days/times? I'm really not sure if anything can be changed.
Drop off service at your Las Vegas Burnham Lab
I went to drop off a specimen for my husband this morning. This occurred. Yesterday, we were at Urgent care and the provider request a stool sample. At 5:30 this morning I went to your Lab. I was asked if I had an appointment, which of course I did not, the patient does not know they need one you are at Urgent Care. Next, I sign into the wait list. Two hours later I was told that I could be on the wait list all day. The stool sample has a four hour life cycle. No one at your facility is assigned for drop offs, so the sample because unusable. Two hours later, I was told there nothing they could do for me because I did not have an appointment. This is definitely not service. I am going to forward my complaint to Southwest Medical/Optium Care and United Healthcare.
Desired outcome: My opinion is that your company needs to rethink operating procedures and make changes that are in favor of patient services. Contact me @ [protected]@aol.com
Blood test
On Oct 13 I went into the Ceres branch for a routine check and somehow, they either contaminated or mixed up my results. The test came back that I had HIV and Hepatitis C this of course terrified me and raised my blood pressure that was already high to the roof. I knew i did not have the lifestyle for risk factors associated with either and spent 200 on home hiv test to be sure. All came back negative. I was assigned a HIV specialist and told him this could not be real and he let me get another test. I opted for the Turlock location. This time all test came back normal. But for 1 week i lived life with unimaginable anxiety and fear.
Desired outcome: I would like a explanation how this could happen to me and a apology and reimbursement for money spent and anxiety caused,.
Service
I went in for routine lab work and prior to getting blood drawn the technician advised me that one of the test probably wouldn't be covered under my insurance. I asked her what the cost was and she said around $300. So I asked her to remove that one from my profile and only do the covered tests. I believe she asked me to approve the remaining test or so I thought. Some time later I received a bill, claiming they preformed the test I did not authorize. The billing center claims I authorized to do the test stating I would pay if it wasn't covered.
They claim my signature is on the document. I absolutely do not recall seeing I approved that. I only approved the other tests that were covered by my insurance. I signed a digital ipad, so if its my signature its not for that area.
I don't know why a lad tech would advise me yet still add they test even when I declined it. If the test after I would talk to my dr, then I would be sure to make sure my doctor coded it in a way that shows it medically necessary as it seems it wouldn't fall under routine care.
I feel completely scammed. Your office either mistakenly ignored the removal, our your lab tech just didn't care and tricked me into signing anyway. Why should I be billed for a test I declined.
Also why is quest so impersonal. No live person at your front desk? not everyone is technology friendly. Having a person less front desk is cold and impersonal. You can keep using the Covid card.
Desired outcome: This office needs an audit investigation into their practices.
Lab services received by phlebotomist
On Tuesday, November 1 2022 I was a Quest Diagnostics walkin for a bloodraw service.
I dont remember the young lady's name but she was a black woman. She began by dragging the etoc wipe across my arm a little rough to prepare my arm for bloodraw.
She pulled her hand back then jabbed me w/the needle. It was painful and I said ouch! She asked if it hurt, I confirmed the pain and she took the needle out. I said it was a little pain but you were getting a blood flow why pull out? She stated they were told w/any pain withdraw the needle. My thought at that time was, whats the difference because now you're about to cause more pain jabbing me again! but I didn't say anything more.
I looked across the room to see a black n white sweater-jacket with "I stab people for a living" I thought how awful but then thought how appropriate lol
I wondered if Quest had approved of her wearing it. It wasnt green n white so I think not. I worked for a Woman's GYN clinic for 10 yrs as med secretary then promoted to clinic specialist where I too was a phlebomomist I was the 1 everyone called when they couldnt draw blood I was also promoted to Clinic Mgr as an fyi. Nefore I even made it home I noticed that I had severe bruising and a 2-hematomas from her poor technique. FYI She was pleasant and very courteous though.
I'd rather not leave my name but if you mention the jacket, she will pribably figure its me. When I return, I would prefer someone else draws my blood.
Desired outcome: This young lady should be "retrained" then watched very carefully for a "while" until the supervisor is satisfied. Also at the next complaint, perhaps a recommendation that phlebotomy is not for her and she should find another profession
Rude Phlebotomist
The person running the lancaster office onAve N was rude and disrespectful to me and the senior that I brought in to get her UA. We showed up at 11:28am am and he rudely told us that he’s going to lunch at 11:30 and told us to go to another office. And he told us to return @1:00. Jeremy is his name. We returned at 1:30 and still was waiting till 3:00pm! For a UA!
Desired outcome: An apology from him
Customer service and billing
We got a bill from quest diagnostics and for that amount I send the check write away they received my check and take the money from my account and send me to collections agency for the same amount. Talk to collections agency and told them that I send them check and they already got their money from my account, collections agency told me you need to call quest diagnostics so the can take you off trom collections agency.
This happened not one time but couple time to our family. We always keep our credit clean and pay our bills on time. Never get late bill. We not going to use quest diagnostics anymore.
Unresolved Billing Error
Quest and its affiliate, Associated Pathologists have failed to resolve a billing issue even though my insurance company and I spoke to them, and they were sent a letter with proof of payment in September.
Quest billed my insurance company, HPN, for $657.09 for service done on April 21, 2022. My insurance company paid the contracted amount on May 19, 2022. My copayment, which I paid, was $15.00.
Associated Pathologists billed my insurance company, HPN, for $1733.26 for service done on April 21, 2022. This bill was divided into two amounts: $1561.26 and $172.00. My insurance company paid the contracted amount on May 19, 2022. My copayment, which I paid, was $15.93.
I attempted to call them earlier this month, but I was put on hold for a long time and decided to hang up since I knew customer services wouldn't have resolved this issue.
Desired outcome: Quest and its affiliate, Associated Pathologists, need to correct this bill immediately. My bill should be placed in paid-in-full status.
Billing department
Quest Laboratories completed blood analysis requested by my doctor on March 23. The vitamin D blood work was not covered by my health insurance company due to a age limitation of 45, I am 21. We resubmitted clinical document to United Healthcare, it was denied another time. Reasoning: A network provider may not bill you unless I gave written permission before receiving the service. In the meantime, I was in contact with Quest Billing Department: [protected] keeping them informed. I also provided Quest with secondary insurance to be used if United Healthcare denied the claim. Instead of submitting my claim to the secondary insurance they submitted it to a collection agency: Credit Collection Services-[protected]. I spoke to a gentleman today, 10/25 at Quest, Kyle who supposedly submitted claim to secondary insurance. If you review my file [protected] I have provided this information many times to the numerous ill-informed customer care service representative, you have answering your phones.
I would appreciate a follow up either by phone or provide address, to ensure this claim has up cleared from collection agency. Laura Turner [protected]
Desired outcome: Claim released from collection agency due to Quest error in submitting to collection agency and not secondary insurance.
I had the same problem. I actually decline doing the test until I spoke to my doctor. They did the test anyway and sent me the bill. Plus quest claims I signed approving I would pay if my insurance didn't. Like you I want to make sure it was coded right based on medical need as it not a part of routine care. I am over 45 if that is part of the guidelines then why was I denied. Quest is very impersonal, including their person less front office. Still hiding behind Covid.
Cynthia front desk customer service
Cynthia the front desk woman had a very negative demeanor the moment I arrived. She was cutting me off while speaking and had a very standoffish attitude. I was bringing my little one to have blood drawn with my husband. The last time I was there Quest didn’t have the proper tools to withdraw blood from my child due to inventory. I had to waste my time coming back, but at least the woman who took us in to the room allowed my husband and I together with out 1 year old son. Cynthia refused and told us only one parent allowed even though previous staff never enforced that at multiple quest locations. She was standoffish and cold with her response and wouldn’t accept what was more comfortable for my baby. She literallly looked liked she hates her job and is a bad representative of this company. Sadly I feel as if I will seek other labs and suggest to others that Quest simply doesn’t have standards of conduct. Maybe one day they would hire competent and caring individuals. Cynthia would be suited for a prison guard rather than a service rep. Quest in redondo beach off prospect suite 305 is a horrible location.
Desired outcome: I’d recommend termination, and or suspension. Or additional training on customer service. Her service is causing negative responses.
A lab bill from quest
On the phone at least 7 times with Quest and 3 times with Quest and United Healthcare Medicare Advantage. The bill is from the date of service of May 17, 2022. The Account No is: [protected]-QQUD1-10. United states that I do not owe this bill. Quest keeps resending same bill. United has claimed that they have sent supporting document 3 times to Quest. Quest bill department states that they will not call Insurance Companies, so I have had to be on the phone hours to get Quest on the phone with United. They prefer to erroneously resend bills and now they are threatening to send me to a Collections Agency, The level of efficiency and customer care is appalling. I hope that people will stop using Quest until they get a much better and responsible Billing Department. My name is Jayne Ruiz. If they take me to a Collections Department, can I sue them? My phone no. is: [protected] and my e-mail address is: [protected]@msn.com
Desired outcome: Quest and United Medicare Advantage will resolve this. United says that I do not owe this bill and that Quest has miscoded this bill. They claim that they have no record of my calls. Such incompetence!
Billing
I would like to speak to a member of senior management over the experience we had regarding a phlebotomy event and the billing issues we had after this event. I have spent over 6 hours of my time on the phone trying to resolve this issue. Please feel free to contact me at [protected] Therese Ball
I have had more than 10 conversations over the last year. This is not something that I can write out. I spoke with supervisors who assured me they would fix it. The last one assured me he knew his job and the previous supervisors told me incorrect information. I thought someone would be interested in talking to me. If all you want is an essay then you aren’t about customer service.
I have a similar problem with Quest Diagnostics; I have been reported to a credit bureau (Radius) for a blood draw at my heart doctor's office (Amarillo Heart) on April 21, 2021. I have Anthem Blue Cross PPO insurance through my former employer, LAUSD. I was not notified or I would have enlisted the LAUSD help line. l can find no other heart specialist in Amarillo that will take me that DOES NOT Use Quest Diagnostics.
I don't know what more that I can do to get Quest to respond and work to resolve this billing issue. United says I don't owe and Quest keeps sending the same bill. Is there anyone responsible at Quest?
Test Results
Each time I go to the lab for blood I wait a day or two before requesting the results and each time I have to make that request more than once. I went to the lab on 09/21/2022, as of today no results have been posted. It is most important that I these result from the specialist before seeing my primary doctor. I don't understand why it takes so long.
Blood work results
I went in on 9/20/2022 to the location on Plaza Drive here in Tallahassee, Florida to have blood work done and still have yet to hear anything. It's been over a week and nothing. I know they have had plenty of time to get the results for the test. I guess they just don't want to do their job or they lost my blood work. My insurance isn't going to pay twice so they better not have lost my stuff!
Desired outcome: Find my results and post them in my quest portal.
lab bill
5 months of trying to ge them to bill my insurance correctly so they will be paid. instead they keep billing me with threats of going to collections thinking I will pay the $90. I will not. The doctors office called and gave then the correct billing codes but they have not record of it. I did a three way call with doctors office, quest billing person jackie d. today but she would not take the info from the billing specialist from the doctors office becuase I was on the line. NOT allowed with me listening in it sees. She said she would call the doctors office. She did not. I get one procedure per year paid by my insurance company and this is it. Everything else i have meet a $4000 deductable to get paid. One $90 bill is all i get from them this year to pay but they wont' pay becuase quest bills at as something not covered, which it is not. I was transferred two times today by a live "customer service person" to a recording that said 'our office is now closed"
Desired outcome: bill the insurance correctly
Lab Test and Blood Work
Typical Fortune 500 Company that is trying to bill me for incorrectly submitted Lab Work by my Doctor. This work has been covered the entire 11 years I have lived in Florida the wrong codes got sent along to Medicare via my Doctor at Gulf Coast Medical and Quest and Medicare a Triangle that obviously I am totally out of the loop on. Quest continues to stonewalling sending me the bill instead of responding to requests from Medicare and Correct Codes now sent to them from my medical professionals. Beware and know this it is no longer legal or legitimate for Medical Companies to allow Collections to report these non legitimate claims to your Credit Report and mine is in the highest category at this time and for the past several years so any games they want to play I have told them I will get an attorney and sue them.
Desired outcome: Quest to correct the codes on the Lab Work and Contact both Medicare and my Medical Doctor's billing department to straighten all this out!
Lab work
My 91-year-old mother went for blood work. The technician was having a difficult time finding vein. Instead of looking elsewhere she forced the needle
and you can see by the attached picture it was not good. The picture was after
a golf ball size bump started going down. She was also very rude. This was at Quest Diagnostics at 2135 E. Semoran Blvd; Apopka, FL 32703. I have never
seen anything like this.
This is unacceptable. I can be reached at [protected]
[protected]@aol.com
See attached picture.
Thank you

Blood drawn
I had an appointment with quest lab in Torrance, 3500 Lomita blvd, suite 104 with my baby , he’s 20 months old. Not only that she couldn’t draw blood from neither of his arms, but she pooped one of his veins leaving him now with a big bruise and pain. That was the most terrifying experience I could ever see. And it was my son. She didn’t know what she was doing. Her name is Carina. I read all of their office review and they are All terrible and it’s about this person in particular. She should not be working there. She is incompetent without even remorse after what she did to us. Me and my husband want to testify against her. Please call us at [protected] or email me at [protected]@gmail.com
Desired outcome: This person suspended .
Blood draw
Schedule blood draw for 11 labs at Quest Diagnostics 4545 Hypoluxo Rd Lake Worth, FL 33463, inside Walmart. I specifically tell the tech Halcy, "I'm a hard stick; if u can't find a vein in my arm u have to hit my hand. U get ONE try. I'm not dehydrated, I drank 64ozs of water since waking up 4 hrs ago. She makes a big show of feeling my arms for a vein...
