misleading website
Misleading website, only made aware of extra charges after payment taken company responded to complaint to late for me to cancel booking, claim this is not the case and they never received my email! Company say charges made clear in small print which is a lie the small print says extra charges will be made clear and payable locally the booking did not make it clear, in till payment had been taken. Company response was tough you should have read the small print! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY CANT BE TRUSTED AND VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I everything works, rentalcars (=traveljigsaw) is good. I a mistake happens they will never really assist you or give any comment what happened.
September 2011 I booked a car for Italy using rentalcars.com. When I arrived with the valid voucher, locauto (the italian company) told me that the never ever received any booking for me. After a long discussion locauto was willing to phone with rentalcars. Then they gave me a car and said that everything is fine. The guy from rentalcars told me that the booking is valid and ok. So I had my car and brought it back. After arriving in Austria I saw that locauto charged me another EURO 270, - (I already prepaied the car for 70 euro). It needed some very long time to found out why: rentalcars gave me absolutely no comment what happened over 2 months (even the tell you that the maximum response time is 28 days!). Later even the employee of rentalcars wrote me, that she never ever get a answer. What a nice company!
In summary: I continued to explain. They always gave me some stupid answer or found a reason why they did not have to comment my questions.
They never told me who made the mistake and WHY the customer hast to pay 4 times more than it was booked and prepared using rentalcars.com.
So the extra 270 euro I have to pay. Pay attention: a valid voucher from rentalcars might not be valid!

Same here they rip me off 301.72 euros for their mistakes and I even send them there an email that is an unsuccesses payment. What they do is blame me for the mistakes and asked me to rebook again to get a full refund back. So I went on live chat complaining about it what shocked me is all the people I am speaking to gives me different things:
1- reimbursed your booking to get a full refund
2- send them the proof and they will investigate it and will refund me back the full amount
3- these are all not available since you choose to cancel in the first place.
4- throwing mistakes at me saying it's my fault for that

I reserved a car on Rentalcar website for a period 19/Jan - 26/Jan
Double confirm before car pick up - I made a query to Rentalcar for confirming my reservation, Rentalcarsreturned an email to me saying my reservation had been confirmed.
I arrived at the car collecting kiosk at the specified time, on the specified date. The car supplier Hertz could not provide a car for me because the Hertz guy said he received my reservation order with the same reservation number but car collection date imprinted "19/Dec/2023", my reservation voucher has corrected car collection date, imprinted "19/Jan/2024" which was double confirmed by Chalaka on 3/Jan/2024.

I had very bad experience and just can warn to trust the car offered from this provider.
I inquired for a Toyota Avensis or similar which is Hyundai Sonata according to RentalCars homepage. I paid for Avensis (4 week hire) and received a mail with voucher-link for Avensis. When showing the printed Avensis voucher to Europcar at Cape Town I could choose between Honda Civic or Chevrolet Cruze, both - with no doubt - much smaller than Toyota Avensis. Europcar said they never had Avensis and if I request a car with similar space I must pay for upgrade. A matching car will be available in 4 days! After my mail to RentalCars I got the automatic reply to get an answer within 28 days! Thus I called RentalCars. As usual long time waiting, hardly anybody in charge, finally a lady said she will check my case with the result that next day my previous link was faked and showed Chevrolet Cruze now! From my point of view this is very dubious business practices and a falsification of my voucher document.
In case of problems do not trust the so called free international phone number. I was waiting most of the time in “please hold on”. The one phone call finally cost me € 62, 33.
We could not wait for available upgrade thus we traveled 4 weeks with two suitcases on the rear seats because of the small car boot. RentalCars.com spoiled our vacation therefore never again this supplier.

Accidentally rented car at 1:30am and cancelled within 5 minutes of booking. Did not receive full refund and when I called they. Oils of cared less and kept my money.
I had a reservation for a car from 29th of july to 1st of august in Edinburg with Sixt through your company
Sixt didn't deliver me the car invoking that my driver license didn't succeed the scan test .
I took out all risks insurance and I want to declare a claim.
I am French, I rented and paid as French and I can not find anything on your site that makes my job easier.
How do I proceed ?

Yes, very bad company. Stay away, unless you enjoy having troubles.
Impossible to get answers from the company about a Full Protection Insurance. The company doesn't answer emails and doesn't have a phone to call. Its partner, AON Affinity (insurance company) is another ghost and unreliable partner.
