My 4 yard container has not been serviced for months. I've been calling them for weeks and complaining. I can not get a call back or even anyone out to empty the container! They continue to claim that someone has been to my home and has serviced the container. This is not true! I can not get a supervisor on the phone or get my calls escalated to anyone to help me! I was with Allied Waste for over 10 years before this and they were a fantastic company! Ever since Republic Services took over the company has turned to [censored]!
trash pickup
We have not had our trash picked up since May 12. Thought it was just a miss for the day went on business trip May 16 5am, came back May 18 and trash still there. May 19 came pickup missed again. Started emailing told it was scheduled started calling and rescheduled and still nothing. Was called a liar by a rep Julie that how are they supposed to know if were not calling. I had called 5 times prior plus 3 email. Today June 2nd still no pickup. Didn't call today just going to start sending complaints where I can.
trash and garbage pick-up
I have been complaining for over a year they have missed my garbage pick-up at least 1 to 2 times per month im a senior and disabled. I feel its on purpose because they get my neighbors trash I want my trash to be pick-up and it was on mondays they changed the day to saturday and did not notify my residence at all nor is it in they record that the date had changed.
Replacement of trash can
On May 2nd witnessed trash collector break the lid of my trash can because of rough handling. I did not confront trash collector but instead called customer service for a replacement. I was told it would be replaced on the 9th after my trash was picked up. My trash can was not replaced. I called on the 10th and was told it would be picked and replaced on the11th, they did not replace my trash can. Now today on the 14th I called to ask for a replacement and was told it could not be replaced until the 21st. This is unacceptable, I have to wait 3 weeks because a trash collector broke the lid on my trash can. I am very disappointed with this company. I guess I'll have to wait and see if this company makes good on the 21st.
Rebublic trash stole a trash bin that I got from a different vendor snd from different home. They were angry I stopped using their lousy -multiple missed pick ups.

My pick up day was on Monday. They didn't empty my bin. I called customer service everyday for the last three days. I received different info on each phone call. First phone call guaranteed would pick up on Tuesday. "no show". called again now its on the supervisors desk. They are unable to let me know when the pick up will be. Called again on Wednesday was told they would put it on the Presidents desk "are you kidding me". It is now Thursday and I am very frustrated. My bin is sitting curb side waiting for someone to come empty it. Can we please have someone come and empty my bin. I'm tired of waiting 30 minutes on the phone everyday to get nowhere. free bulk trash pick up service
Republic Services in Fremont, CA offers free bulk trash pick up services for residents living in Single family Homes only and do not offer the same service for those living in communities with townhomes and condos. This is not fair and discrimination.
Republic services needs to offer same free bulk pick services from residents of HOAs also.
Just because everyone cannot afford the expensive single family homes and resort to buying townhomes and condos they cannot be offered less services.
trash/ recycling pick up service
11/23/17 no recycling pickup--Thanksgiving day. 11/24/17- regular trash day, trash picked up, recycling left. On their website..recycling will be picked up Saturday the 25th. Called rep to confirm..."yes" your recycling is to picked up today, the 25th. Not done. Called rep Monday the 27th..."yes" your recycling is scheduled to picked up today (the 27th) or early tomorrow" (the 28th).
Not done on the 27th. Called rep on the 28th, today, "no, the regional manager cancelled the pick up, your recycling will be "double picked up" on the next regular day...Thursday the 30th".
IS THIS NUTS? Republic saves money for the CEO by not hiring extra drivers to pick up trash and recycling on holidays, but we are charged for the pickup, and the drivers aren't paid for the holiday.

Recycling--lots of it----in my driveway since Thursday the 23rd...with multiple lies from customer service. No wonder they get 1.5 stars out of 5.

trash — over pricing and refund nt rcd
Republic was charging me $195 and my neighbor $50 for three months of services. There is no justification for that kind of difference. I went to a new carrier in July and have still not received a refund yet. Several calls and a complaint with the Better business bureau have not helped!
I would like to hear from them. Reimbursement of months of service that were paid for but not used, and a refund of overpayments of outrageous fees charged!

Republics new trash pickup policies are going to create a health hazard for residents of Las Vegas. Now that they are limiting trash pickup to one day a week and the amount that will fit in one of their bins. Any more than that will have to wait until bulk pickup, which is twice a month. This means the resident must hold on to the trash for up to two weeks. Keeping the trash around the home will attract rats and cockroaches, which will spread as long as trash is available for them to feed off of. Have we not learned anything since the time of the Black death? Is public safety going to take a backseat to increased profits for Republic services? Things are going to get quickly out of hand when people start getting sick from being forced to hold on to garbage, because Republic wants to increase its profits. Now is the time to address this instead of waiting until people end up in the hospital or morgue.

Absolutely terrible company with no customer service. This is the third week in a row that our trash has not been picked up on time (at least 2 days late and only scheduled for pickup at that time since I called and complained). 3 weeks ago there was no pick up for the entire week. The next week I called and was told that there was no reason the trash should not have been picked up.
We have been with republic for over 2 years and they have constantly changed our pickup dates while failing to even tell us that they are changing them.
I would recommend my friends throw their trash in the street rather than deal with the asinine business practices that this "company" employs.

Republic is stating I have not paid my trash for 6 months and they are placing a lien on my house... I used their Western Union payment system and then put the trash bill on my auto pay at BofA just last month. My statement shows that I do not owe this. Totally unacceptable, its hard enough to try to make it when disabled and a corrupt Utility company does this!? I will be contacting the BBB, the media, Consumer Affairs and the Public Utility Commissioners office.

Republic is a monopoly in Las Vegas!
We have never needed trash service on our home in Las Vegas as we are part time residents.
4 years after we bought our new home there, Republic sends us a bill for $429.00! When I called to ask what it was for, they told me Clark County has a mandatory ordinance that any home that has electricity turned on in their home must have trash service. They said they did an audit through Clark County and sent bills out to those who didn't have it.
First of all, it's unlawful to "back bill" for services never rendered. Why didn't Republic simply mail out notices informing those without trash service of the mandatory ordinance in Clark County? Then, start billing? Being out of state, and owning a home in Las Vegas, we had no way of knowing about the ordinance unless someone told us. The homebuilder claims it's not their responsibility.
For other part time residents experiencing this frustration, please contact the Clark County Commissioner for your specific district.

Had been a customer for over 14 years and finally decided to cancel service to use a local waste removal provider. This decision was made after being tired of paying more in fuel surcharges than the local provider charges for complete trash removal service. I did contact the company a month in advance to cancel my service. The final bill was issued and promptly paid. A month later, I receive another bill from these low lifes wanting more money. This time they want us to pay to remove a trash can they placed on my premises. And to make it worse, they want to charge a fuel surchage for that too. Beware of these bozos. I'll burn my trash before sending another dime to these people. None of these so-called extra charges were originally included in the orginal agreement. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE doing business with these people.

I live in Carlsbad CA in a senior HOA (Rancho Carlsbad HOA) that gets billed from Republic. The residents then get billed from the HOA. Republic is billing many of the residents individually.
I have contacted Republic several times to get this corrected with unacceptable response. They will not rescind the improper bills to the residents. They need to close the unauthorized accounts and reverse the improper charges.

Republic Services put my community on a pilot program, without my approval, where garbage is picked up once a week instead of twice and is billing me the same amount of money. They say I am saving money because I don't have to pay for the garbage can. I had my own can prior, so no money saved there. Such practices are shameful.
