Will not let me return strut I do not need
order number [protected], sent front strut twice order was for rear strut look at my records!
Intially in january ordered struts, 1/28/2020, sent wrong strut, Ordered 2 front and two rear, sent 3 front, one rear, sent back recieved 2/26/2020 wrong part again front strut not rear as requested order # [protected].
Will not let me set up a return! Have attempted several times!
I want to return the wrong part sent now twice at your expense and expect a refund!
Raybestos brake calipers
I purchased front brake calipers for my 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. When I received the large heavy Brake Calipers, the boxes were destroyed from the weight and bulk of the calipers. When I bought them and saw that it had a core charge I did not see anything that said they must be shipped back in original box. Since the boxes were damaged, I threw them away. When I went on your site to see what I had to do to get my core charge back, that was the first time I saw the policy of having to send the cores back in the original packaging. I emailed Rockauto and after explaining what happened to the boxes, I asked if I could send back the massive calipers in proper packaging that will support the weight without coming apart, can I get back my core charge of $60.00? I am a Disabled Military Veteran and on a very limited fixed income, so every dime counts. The reply: "Cores must be returned in the box the new part came in. Returns may not be refundable if the part, or the manufacturer's box, is damaged while in transit to our warehouse." So Rockauto is going to steal $60.00 dollars from me! That's exactly what y'all are doing. I have been a customer for many years and have spent hundreds upon hundreds of dollars on Rockauto.com and have advised friends as well as relatives to buy their parts from Rockauto.com, and y'all are willing to lose a good customer over $60.00 dollars. Really? Plus there is nothing about your box policy until you click on the return core button. Nothing when I bought the parts. I know it won't make even a tiny difference to your Company but I will never ever purchase again from Rockauto.com. Unbelievable, a multi million dollar company has to steal $60.00 from a disabled Veteran. I am shocked.
Update, after filing a fraud case against Rockauto in Wisconsin, I was contacted by the AG's office and after explaining that I must file in my own State, he not only helped me out, educating me on the steps I need to take, he also contacted the Consumer Protection Division of the Nebraska AG's office on my behalf. Right before we hung up he told me that his office is constantly getting complaints about Rockauto! This is just this one State! I am determined to get satisfaction on this issue and I will never give up!
Wrong parts
I ordered a serpentene belt which was listed to be correct size, now they are charging me to return so I ordered another which states is supposed to be 1.5 inches longer aND I find out it had the same part number, so it's going to be wrong also, . Last time I order from Crock auto! I've ordered parts from them before and lucky I received the correct item. There also is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, i've tried many times to call aND talk to a real person, there are NONE.

I purchased strut/coil spring/mount assembly from Rock Auto and within days of installation they were making such a noise it was unbearable. I contacted the company about the problem. They told me I needed to send the parts back for a refund, but for me to not have may a car be down for a week I would need to purchase them again. Well at the time that was not feasible seeing as I just had purchased these parts and had them installed on my vehicle. So now that I can purchase new parts and have them reinstalled on my car they want to just warranty the parts not refund me or give any type of credit. This is a ripoff. They were well aware of the problem in an ample time frame and knew my situation and I have the emails to support this claim. This is poor customer service on behalf of Rock Auto. I wonder if the Better Business Bureau would support me in this case.
No customer service
Customer service is the worst, I'm going back to summit racing where I can actually talk to somebody on the phone 24/7 instead on online.They do not respond quick or do not respond back at all.I just ordered part online and wanted to make a change.Online email said they could do nothing about it and just they will wait for return to sender .They will refund the money for item but not for shipping.This could of been all avoided if online customer service would try to help but just couldn't be bothered .
Wrong parts delivered
Hi cuys, I ordered ball joints from Rock Auto and after two weeks delivery time finally got joints which do not fit to my Bird. Totally wrong measures. Now RockAuto is asking me to split what I paid. I asked phone number to call and discuss, then they closed the whole case. I cannot understand that kind of business attitude! Hi, I have purchased (3) items from this company. An AC evaporator core, An AC expansion valve and spark plugs. All were for a 2012 VW Routan. None of the parts sent fit my car even if their website indicated that these parts should fit. I Have explained the issue to the customer service multiple times but they refused to pay for shipping and one part would not refund at all. 3 strikes out of 3. For me, shipping from Canada is more than half the price of the parts. Customer service blamed me for making the mistake which totaly not the case.
I have bought parts for other vehicles in the past from their website and did not have any problems.
Cooling fan blade
I was sent a fan blade for my 1989 Mustang 5.0l V8. The stamped hole in the center is 2.500". The original fan is 2.625". Therefore, the fan blade will not fit onto the fan clutch. I returned the first one at my expense and received another one. Same problem. The supplier is manufacuring scrap. First invoice order # 116284669, 24 July 2019. UPS tracking # 1Z4X795F0337074994, 26 July 2019. Second order # 116458285, 26 July 2019. I'd send this one back, but I'm seeing a costly pattern develop, and I can tell you with metaphysical certainty that if you send me another, I'll be out another $14 for shipping this one back to you, and the next one you send me will exhibit the same defective design specification. My advice: check remaining stock on SPECTRA PREMIUM PN SQ CF 15001, fan blade, to confirm the incorrect dimension.

Beware of rockauto.com scam
Hi everyone,
Just wanted to share my 2 times experience with you guys. I have 2014 chevy cruze 1.4Lt turbo. I ordered some parts for my it from Rockauto.
I ordered ACDelco ignition coil that came as Delphy and box had Acdelco sticker(check the bill and coil) . Which i believe is cheaply made and cheaper on rockauto website. And stickers are not reliable nor their parts because it may say Acdelco and made in USA but could be made in China and the part could be any different brand. I will also suggest people to check wether the part itself says made in USA than only trust( oil filter says made in USA and bill says made in China ).
Long story short.
1) description of parts on bill has lot of false info(oil filter says made in USA and bill says made in China ) .
2) I received part which is not ACdelco(Delphi ignition coil in box with Acdelco stickers) .
3) even if it says ACdelco i am not going trust because package stickers are handmade by warehouses not by manufacturers( you can see the stickers overlapping the tap used to package means they package item and put their own computer generated stickers).
Return policy non-existent. Do not use rockauto, boycott them!
Ordered 4 lower ball joints, received 3 uppers and one lower with 2 out of the 4 missing parts. All reboxed in boxes that looked the same. Website will not let me upload pictures illustrating their responsibility and of course you cannot call anyone. This type of business needs to be shut down. This place is a total scamm. Boycott them at all costs or you will be burned eventually.

I was supposed to get my parts on June 17th 2019 so I contact them they said we will have to reship it since there were missing parts in the package once they resent it now it's says u should receive by July 23 2019 and I can't cancel or get my refund shouldn't buy parts from them next time some times they send you double items and charges you for it this is very poor service and should be taken down in Canada

I'm wondering knowing that despite the brand name, 80% parts are from china and 20% from Mexico with profit margins between 500%-2000% you still need to play with shipping charges this way?

Misrepresentation of products in INFO button. This particular product is a FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY. Now we mechanics know that an ASSEMBLY comes with the important and necessary parts to call this an ASSEMBLY. Like a pump and strainer/filter and in most cases, a brand new fuel level sensor, RIGHT? These days are not the same anymore. I clicked the INFO button and got more info on the product (SP4067M) and got this information:

I was told by rockauto that "this particular part does not come with a new fuel level sending unit because the picture does not indicate so." I have this conversation on my email if you are not convinced about the fraud and wrongful representation of parts made buy other companies. I am also made to believe that the INFO buttons for parts application is simply something to be IGNORED? SO I decided to see how far the deception went. Called Spectra Premium and asked about this part and what it came with, as it is an ASSEMBLY, right? Spectra TECH support says that this assembly does not come with a fuel level sensor as described on THERE website. OK that is all good but why does it say that it does on ROCKAUTO? The man from tech support then went to Rockauto.com site to view part description.

He was also not very happy about the false description of there product. I asked that they contact rockauto and get this fixed. They may or may not give a rip but that's what our country seems to be running on now days.
I can not get a refund for the deception of the part description because it is what it is. So I purchased a fuel level sending unit from PARTSGEEK.COM. WATCHOUT they got me a few times this year and I have been with them from back in 2000 when you could actually speak to an educated person about the problem and come to a happy medium.

Been having a lot of problems with Rockauto as of late. So I am sharing yet another complaint this week about them (3X). Ordered EPROM Part Number 1#[protected] for 1990 GMC Safari 4.3L vin Z. According to part description it has the proper coding AUMH 1274 chip. But the chip sent to me is a AUMH 1273. Was told be Rockauto that part number does not make a difference but I see it does. There picture does not even show the EPROM part number or CODE AUMH Number. I ordered two of them just incase I got one that was bad from rockauto and what would you know, one was not even in its static bag and was separated from it chip carrier with a box that had some persons initials on it as to say. HEY this is used! I can not return them because rockauto has a policy that does not except installed parts but they can send you used parts with no problem (2X this has happened this week). Read my other complaints. Anyway here it is the info on the EPROM from rockauto:

Please take notice of CODE 1274AUMH (that is on my chip) that should have been the correct programing code for my van but it did not happen again. Lets not forget the part number does not even cross over to anything that ACDELCO has. It is absolute. Shame on you again ROCKAUTO. They need to fix this fraudulent posting of part descriptions before someone gets killed trying to make a wrong part work just because rockauto says it does.
Correct parts box but wrong part in box. Now this is a good one and I hope the other person that tried to return this part before I did got there part or refund. Part number is: MON 171588 rear passenger/right-side quick strut assembly. I ordered this part along with left rear, front left, right front you know, how it should-be done. I got the right or passenger side rear quick strut assembly Part number on box MON 171588 in bad shape Beat to death box that was re-wrapped by shipper. When I opened box to get part out. I noticed a return slip in it for rockauto order number [protected] that stated mis-boxed. With explanation: "The marking on the outside of the box stated 171588 right rear strut assembly but once I opened the box there was a left rear strut assembly inside." So I checked the part and found that I got the same thing that this person complained about. How is this possible? Is rockauto sending out returned unchecked parts to unsuspecting paying customers? Wow this is a problem for real and the response to my wanting to return this part for the correct part was nutty. I was told that "the part may look different but will still function correctly." What the hell? The strut has the bracket welded on the wrong-side to mount the sway-bar links how is it going to work mounted to the wrong-side of the vehicle being the part number on the part itself is for the driver side rear that I already have mounted because I purchased it. Crazy real world of rockauto. Anyway part got returned after some email battling and the new and correct part is on its way I hope. Down time time on car just because of multiple part problems with wrong part in box and missing or I should say misleading parts descriptions that ended up with my having to order missing parts to complete said assemblies (SP4067M fuel pump assemble missing fuel sending unit not noted in features under more info button. This unit is said to come with it but did not.) All together two weeks. Had to purchase fuel level sending unit from Partsgeek.
They don't care but they would love to help me find the missing part. Bait and switch at its best.
Using shipping carrier dhl bad choice for my area
I placed a $400.00 order for parts for my wife's car that is currently sitting in the driveway not running on june 12, 2019. The order shipped on june 13, 2019 with a expected delivery of june 17, 2019. I paid extra for dhl express shipping. It is now the morning of june 19, 2019 and I have yet to receive my parts. Parts shipped from hempstead ny (382 miles away) dhl moved my parts to cincinnati oh then up to rochester ny, then dhl says it is out for delivery on june 17, 2019 from rochester ny (102 miles away from me) I do not know about you but I think a local delivery driver is not going to drive 100 miles to deliver a small package that I was charged $14 or $16 to ship. I selected "dhl express" shipping option (the only express carrier option provided) thinking that that would be the fastest to get my parts.in hindsight the usps would have been faster... Called dhl for a second time last night and they are going to "put a trace" on my package and let me know by 9:00 am today... I am not very happy... Dhl is not a viable option in my area. Ups, fedex or even the usps would be better. Rockauto, you need to provide better shipping options relative to the delivery address.
I will think long and hard before purchasing parts from rockauto again...
You could not be more right. I have the same problems here in Hawaii. These guys don't even have an office to drop off return items. You know there is a time limit to return things to rockauto? It is hard to meet that if DHL has no office or person to contact here in HILO Hawaii. I was told to drop it off in HONOLULU. LOL that would be fun but I would have to catch a plane because it is three islands away. Luckily I had more stuff coming from rockauto via DHL and I gave it to delivery guy that could not scan return and had to send it to Honolulu to get checked in. Wow that's nerve-racking. So for two days my return was just floating around someplace. It got to its destination and a replacement part is on its way.

Her name is Leslie Battistoni who ordered a catalytic converter from you. It was on the car about 10 days and failed. She was on vacation without the car and when she returned she had a replacement installed locally, it is still on the car today.
She sent the failed part back to you at her expense and all she has asked for is you to contact her. This has never been done and it purposefully made where no customers with problems can contact you.

Front struts
I ordered a pair of front struts, 1 left and 1 right.They sent me 2 right struts.There boxes were opened before and retapped before they shipped it to me. I submitted to get a return label so I can get a refund, but never received one.I have tried a few times but still didn't receive a return label.Now the return policy is expired.I tried to call but they don't receive calls.I tried to email but they don't receive them either, they say say go to the help or returns. Now I had to get the mechanic to get it from someone else, because he had it all apart.Now I am stuck with an extra strut and on the hook for $340 more.

I have returned 3 items to Rockauto because the items were assembled poorly in factory and they weren't in a very good condition to install them on my car.
1 Left Headlamp cost me CAD$ 56.27, 1 Right Headlamp cost me CAD$ 57.61, 1 Air filter cost me $7.34 and Also I paid $64.61 for shipping. My total cost was $185.53. ( please see the attached file).
I returned all above packages in its original condition and now I got an email saying my total refund is $43.81 USD which is equal to $57 CDA !
I just don't understand for the items which was faulty from factory why should I be charged? In return label I just said the items got low quality because didn't know I have to explain this in "detail" and it was my first time returning something to Rockauto. It just doesn't make sense to cut off almost %80 of what I paid just because I returned faulty items to RockAuto, its just not fair.
I tried to address the issue in few emails but no one paid close attention to this mater. My request is to get my full refund .

Shipping charges
Bought brake pads for my 07 Acura TL-S. Brake squeal really bad after I installed the pads. I thought that the pads is defective or a wrong kind of pads. Because I heard certain pads doesn't work with Brembo brake. So I bought different kind of pads. But the squeal it's getting better. Week went by, brake only squeal once in a while. So I decided to return the second pads I bought. And they charge me to ship it back. Paid twice for shipping.

ordered a wheel hub assembly from your menu for a 2006 gmc sierra 2500 2 wheel dr. 6.6 diesel engine i received part wjb wa515086hd i installed the hub assembly and my wheel wobbled, i returned the part with the explanation that i had a 2 wheel dr. and i think the part is for a 4 wheel drive i received the same part number back when i tried to send the part back with another explanation it was declined and i can not find any way to contact anyone to echange the part for a different number that i found under hidden parts not on the menu. part number is h515086 mevotech
