We purchased this portable generator at Sams Club in Davenport, IA for $639.00. Was $739.00 on Nov. 10, 2020. Order# [protected]. Called certified electrician to install new hookup. Generator only has hours on it that electrician used. Didn't need generator for almost 2 years as power never went out. When it was needed, it did not work at all. Kept trying to call company several times and finally they sent a part they thought might get it running but Hanks repair shop said that didn't work and the only part that would fix it would cost more than the generator itself! A-I Power will not replace the part or send a new replacement as it is not under warranty. A generator is not something you use often so we were not aware of the problem until our power went off. A-I power does not respond to us by email and very hard to reach by phone but I can't let this problem go when I am out the money and have no generator? I did call Sams in Davenport, IA and they just told me there is nothing they can do because it's not under warranty. But Sam's continue to sell their expensive product that the company won't back up? Please help? I'm afraid to buy expensive products at Sams Club now?

Claimed loss: $685.33
Desired outcome: I would appreciate a refund from Sams or a replacement from the A-I Power would be fine. I am out $685.33 and was sold a generator at Sams that never worked.
