My wife and I shop regularly at Sam's Club. Over the past year or so we have experienced many times when at checkout prices did not match what was on the labels on the shelves or advertised in discount booklet. We've learned to be very careful as this happens with nearly every shopping cart now. Today it took 20 minutes to resolve it and we were fed up with being sent around to one cashier after another by the manager. We always regret our shopping trips now and just today 9/8/2023 we resolved to cancel our membership. Costco is far better at this getting the prices right and saving us the effort of checking prices on the receipt very closely and then waiting to get it corrected. We are no longer shopping at Sam's Club even though our membership doesn't expire til end of year. Both of us are frustrated and angry and have had enough. Another source of ongoing frustration is that many of the items listed for special prices are not available in our local store, usually as many as 1/3 aren't on the shelves. We also tried the new scan and go today on a couple items and had a hassle as we left the store as on of the items was not on our reciept so we had to pull up the scan and go bar code as well. Desired outcome: Just wanted to give you the courtesy of why we are ending a many years relationship and why we reached the end of our rope. There are many other smaller complaints as well, but this is the straw that broke the camel's back.
