Poor customer support, user is responsible for errors by driver or supplier
I have been a user Skip The Dishes for some time and have enjoyed the convenience and service. Having my meal delivered to my door was a great aid to my life since I have mobility / walking challenges.
I placed an order on Jan 9, 2022 which was not delivered (and not found nearby). When I contacted customer support I was told my missing order missing order will not to be credited. With no previous warning my account was locked from receiving credits. This order was placed with the same delivery instructions as I always have always supplied and the previous orders have been delivered to my door as requested.
This treatment is unacceptable that the customer should be held financially responsible for errors of the delivery driver or even errors in the food orders from the restaurant / supplier.
Credit for the missing order was refused.
Expired sauce given for chicken wings
I placed an order on Jan 7 2002 with skip the dishes for pizza pizza in Welland, Ont order number [protected]. I had ordered mild sauce for my chicken wings but I received honey mustard sauce, the best before dat reads 2021 DE 18. I did have some of it before I noticed it was expired and then had to throw away the rest of the wings. I did email pizza pizza but they instructed me to email you as you were the company paid.

Salisbury house hamburger steak
I ordered a Hamburger Steak. Jan 1/22. 369034705. It was burnt and sections of one edge was raw looking, the onions were burnt also The small amount of mashed potatoes had picked up the burnt smell and taste. The meal was not edible
I must admit I'm confused as Salisbury House prepared the food. Skip the dishes did a great job. Delivered as requested and at the start of the time requested
I called Salisbury House and they said this was the only way to get a refund which I would request

Purchased food on December 23 rd and was charged twice $32.71!
Now I have to go through all of this to contact your company to get my money back. Why isn't there a simple convenient phone number to resolve these types of issues? Not happy!

Driver didn't delivered my order and disappeared with the food I ordered and when contacted support they said they can't do anything about that. But only can give me refund after 10 to 12 days. So what they think is u order food and wait for 40 min not to be delivered and order again to waste money

Order 30 mins late, cold, and left in the lobby.
I placed an order for a 4 Whopper family combo, driver was at restaurant for 15 mins with my food before leaving with my order. Driver arrived 15 mins later, when it only takes less than 5 mins to get to my location. Driver buzzes me to let him in. I ask the driver if he is going to bring the order up to my door, he replies yes. 2 mins later I get a notification on my phone asking me to rate the driver, so I go check at my door for my food, the food isn't there. I go down to the lobby to see if he dumped it in the lobby somewhere, as expected, thats exactly where it was. All 4 burgers and fries were cold, nobody wanted to eat it, and it was garbaged.
I contact a customer support agent to complain about the order, which I had already initiated prior to the delivery while the driver was still at the restaurant. He assured me a full refund if there was something wrong with the order. I request a transcript of this conversation, nothing shows up. Anyways, after speaking to 3 agents over the course of 2 hours, they were only willing to offer me 50% of my order back, which they lied because I received 3 emails saying that I was not eligible for a refund.
I took photos of the food left on the ground in the lobby and have sent these photos to them. I have asked more than a dozen times to speak to a manager, which at one point one of the agents promised a call back within 5-10 mins, but lied. I keep having several agents join, than immediately abandon the chat.
This is now the 5th consecutive order that there has been a problem, ranging from the order not showing up at all, damaged food, missing food, wrong, order, cold, etc. I ordered $60 of beer back in the summer, and the driver stole my whole order, and claimed to have delivered it to me, and verified my ID. It took 3 days of dealing with Skip agents and my lawyer sending them a notice of liability to the tune of a violation of the Alcohol and Tobacco Act before I got their attention. That was the only time I received a full refund from SkipTheDishes, and the letter cost me $150. I could pursue justice and have my costs covered, but the courts are backlogged, and its beyond frustrating to know that Shady companies like SkipTheDishes takes advantage of this.
Skip hides from liability behind a digital curtain, where they make the rules, and behave as if they are immune to laws and regulations that protect everyone. You can't even call them, they decide if you are worthy of a call. This parasitic business practice is becoming a new norm, and not much seems to be being done about it. Who with any sense would leave food in the common space of an apartment building and walk away. When did this become ok? Amazon does this on a regular, and most other delivery businesses, including SkipTheDishes, and UberEats are now doing this. Why? Why aren't lawyers eating these companies for breakfast because of these willfully careless, and reckless business practices?
Skip needs a phone number for customers to call and speak to a live agent, instead of hiding like cowards.
Desired outcome: For Skip and other delivery company to observe long held laws and ethical codes here in Canada.

On December 19, 2021 at 9:35 p.m., I placed an order with Wine Rack. At 10:00 p.m., I tracked the order and it said that my driver was on its way. at approximately 10:06 p.m., I received a call from skip the dishes and was told that the driver slipped on black ice and my bottle of wine was broken. I asked her how that was possible when the app said my driver was driving to me. Then she said she doesn't know and will give me back the money in skip credits.

On December 19, 2021, I used my skip credits to place an order with St. Louis Bar and Grill. at approximately 10:16 p.m. I waited for 20 minutes for my order to be confirmed. When it was not, I contacted support. Support told me that they are going to contact the restaurant. I waited to hear back from support. After 15 minutes of waiting, I asked what was going on with my order. They said they were going to contact the restaurant. I said that you told me that 20 minutes ago. I then contacted the restaurant myself. The restaurant told me that my order NEVER came through. I contacted support and I told them that they lied to me as they never did contact the restaurant. So of course they said they will refund me and give me a $5 credit. I said that you guys messed up three times tonight and all you are offering is $5? They said yes.

On December 19, 2021, I again used my credits to order from The Spice Route at 11:18 p.m. When I tracked my order, the delivery time went from 17 minutes, to 40 minutes then to 70 minutes. I contacted support and inquired about my delivery time. I was then told that my order was sent with another courier and that they will cancel my order. I told them absolutely not and that I want my order tonight. Support said they would look into it. After 20 minutes of not hearing from support, I contacted the restaurant myself. The restaurant told me that the DRIVER went to the restaurant and cancelled my order. The manager told me he did not understand why the driver did that. I advised support of that and support said that they will refund me my money and then they left the chat without me being able to say anything. I contacted support again to ask them where my money was and they said they will refund me back my money with a $5 credit. I asked for head office number and they told me they would not be giving it to me.
Desired outcome: It is VERY insulting that for 4 hours, I was lied to, had my order cancelled 4 times and was offered a $10 credit. A $10 credit is completely insulting and I want more credit and better customer service because it was horrible.

I have never been able to understand why most of your drivers do not seem to know how to use the system in apartment buildings to buzz to the apartment. They always phone on my phone and ask for the code. I object to just giving my code to just anyone. Isn't their job delivery ? Your drivers are simply the worst.
There is located in the lobby a unit which is to be used to key in the appropriate apartment number . When done this will buzz into my unit and I can open the door using the system provided by the management company. There seems to be very few of the driver working for this compan6 that can u derstand what to do.

This has happened to me several times, the most memorable was when I ordered $60 worth of beer one summer day before heading up to the trailer for the weekend, driver didn't show up, but claimed they verified my ID and made delivery. Dealt with their shady customer service for 3 days, and had a lawyer send them a notice of liability over concerns of Alcohol and Tobacco Act violations. That got their attention, cost me $150, but I got a full refund and an apology from the big shot at SkipTheDelivery.
Remember the good ol' days when you called the restaurant, made your order, and 90% of the time your food came as you ordered it, on time? The 10% it didn't, you received a refund without an issue. The best part was you could pick up the phone and call if there was a problem, because they weren't trying to hide from upset customers. I love how technology has made life simpler.
Missing order
I ordered a piece of wood breadsticks and never got it. They claim it was delivered but I never was. Thankfully I got them to refund me but still I'm thinking the driver was hungry and so he claimed that I was delivered even though he knew for well he didn't deliver it. The driver's name Dinesh. This is in Saskatoon Saskatchewan Canada.

Last night I ordered on your website.
My order was taking more than 10 minutes to confirm and I never got a confirmation.
I then tried to place the same order again and the same thing happened. I clicked cancel and restarted.
I received my order, started eating and then got a second delivery, which the delivery guy told me would be refunded since I already got my order. He brought back the food with him.
I have been charged 3 times on my credit card. I contacted your customer service by chat and the agent refused to refund me.

Did not receive my order. I opened a chat to complain and was told that the driver confirmed making the delivery to my address. He also confirmed seeing my identification apparently. (It was an alcohol order)
1. I always meet the driver outside when ordering. This time it was left on my step apparently. But then how did he see my ID?
2. The front door of the house is not even my residence. There are multiple suites in the house and my door faces the back yard and is behind a locked gate. That's the reason I always meet them in the front. There's no way he delivered it to my door.
3. IF somebody showed him ID, it was not me and the name on the ID MUST match the name on the order. I asked the person in chat to ask the driver what type of ID i showed and never got an answer but the TRUE answer is quite specific and I can pretty much guarantee he would not be able to answer that question specifically.
I was charged just under $30 and got nothing but bad customer service in return. I consider that robbery.

Cannot place orders within the app, can't use Skip Credit
My sister recently gifted me $100 in SkiptheDishes Credit for my birthday to my Skip account. However, I found out very soon that I was not able to place any orders, no matter how many times I have tried (using cell 4G, Wifi, my computer, other devices).
I was later told by support staff through chat that my account was flagged for suspicious activity and because of that I am unable to place any orders. Since then, I've been trying to get through Support staff on the SkiptheDishes website repeatedly but they leave as soon as I ask for my problems to be solved! Sometimes, without even saying anything!
What am I supposed to do with the credit that I received? I would like a refund for this credit as soon as possible so that my poor sister can get her money back!

Getting terrible food and no refunds.
I got literally inedible food; it was as hard as a rock. I spent 30 minutes to get 50% of the wrong order refunded. I still have to order food for my partner now who didn't eat because of the bad food. I get it's complicated, but wtf I have to throw the dice and hope it'll be good this time now. I have under $5 of skip credits to order another $20 worth of a meal. I'm absolutely irate right now that I've supported you guys for so long and can't get more than a "go away" response.

Courier Success Team
I think the Courier Success team has recently been outsourced to India, as I get a lot of Indian sounding names up there lately.
The quality of service the Courier Success team provides has gone way downhill. Last night alone I had a guy who didn't read who tried to tell me I didn't give him the order # of the order when that was literally the first thing in the chat.
I had another agent who tried to tell me that the contactless delivery mandate "only applies to couriers" which makes no sense and is obviously wrong - the customer website of Skip itself contradicts this.
Then I had another agent who claimed that my report of a full contact delivery incident was after an order was delivered (not that that should matter anyway, but I digress...) when I reported it during my shift.
Complete and total incompetence. It's incredibly frustrating to deal with.
My delivery
You guys use to have great customer service. I ordered from wendys and my order was not at my door when I went to get it! Chat froze or the guy just didn't get back to me. I put in for a refund and it was declined. no number to call and then chat turned in to message only. Now I get an email saying that my refund is refused.
Hours later I had a neighbor knock on my door the found my Wendy's order four doors down and it was on the sidewalk and looked like it had been mauled. I can only assume a racoon? [censored] happens. But how can I continue to work with a service with little to no customer contact or care at all. If only to cover your drivers [censored] why wouldn't you want to follow up?
