Great UK site for cheap sports apparel and shoes
Great UK site for cheap sports apparel and shoes. The store is round the corner but the site has to offer huge range of stuff and more cheaper online deals at times. Fab for those looking for cheapest deals on nike trainers.
Always satisfied
I have ordered many times from overseas and always received my orders within7 days. Though UK size are a bit different and I had a couple of surprised, this was more my fault than theirs. Prices are attractive and some products are exclusive to the site.

No response to my question
Opened up my parcel ordered from sports direct. It contained two polo shirts Both had ?5 sale tags on although I was charged ?6 and ?5.25.One of these shirts was bundled up in the parcel, not in a plastic bag and smelling of damp. Customer care had some excuse about the prices, but after two requests to answer my inquiry regarding smelly unpackaged shirt. I told them that I had washed it and kept as it's too much bother to send it back. The last I heard was some silly member of staff asking for an image of shirt. I said what was the point after it had been washed. Still waiting for answer. Very poor customer care.
Sportsdirect can help you stay HEALTHY and WEALTHY
Sportsdirect can help you stay HEALTHY and WEALTHY.
We all like a bargain, don't we? We all like a good quality bargain, yes? Well I've shopped at Sportsdirect a few times now and have found their prices second to none. Now some of you will say. Ah! Sportsdirect is only for youngsters, it is all trainers and them tracksuit thingies. You know them stripey (druggy) trousers. Yes they do do them and they also do do the stripey tops to match, if that's what floats your boat. They also do (or do do, if you prefer) a whole range of apparel, yes good clothes for everyone from eighteen to eighty, or even nineteen to ninety, and those among us who are, walkers, joggers, runners, cyclists, swimmers, skiers, boxers, etc, etc, etc...
In my last and fairly recent order I purchased several "Slazenger" brand T shirts, these were priced at between ?2.00 to ?3.00 each. The quality of these is excellent, made of a good material and they fit like a glove. No, no, they fit like a well tailored T shirt. Phew! That was close, you want gloves to fit like, er gloves, and I expect the ones they sell do, or even do do.
The only negative points I would raise about Sportsdirect are, online delivery is charged at ?3.99 on orders under ?100.00 (would be nice if they could offer free delivery to one's (posh eh!) nearest store). Also their stores are so full of stock, you can struggle to find what you want but apart from that they are, very, very good.
SportsDirect Review: Terrible Customer Service and Online Shopping Nightmare
I gotta say, my experience with SportsDirect was not great. I tried to do some online shopping, but it was a total nightmare. First of all, their customer service is non-existent. If anything goes wrong with your order, you're basically on your own. I had a problem with my order - a couple of items I wanted were out of stock, even though the website said they were available. So I tried to cancel my order, but I couldn't get in touch with anyone from customer service. I sent multiple emails, but no one ever replied. And when I finally got through on the phone, the person I talked to didn't even listen to me and hung up on me. So I ended up with an order I didn't really want, and I had to pay a lot of money to send it back.
Honestly, this was one of the worst shopping experiences I've ever had. If you're thinking about ordering from SportsDirect, here are a few things to keep in mind:
- Make sure you're absolutely sure about your order before you place it. Once you've placed it, you're pretty much stuck with it.
- Don't trust the website to tell you whether something is in stock or not. It's not always accurate.
- Don't expect any help from customer service. They're basically useless.
- And don't bother calling their premium number - you'll just end up waiting on hold forever and then getting disconnected.
I will say that there are some good deals to be had on the website. But if anything goes wrong with your order, you're in for a world of hurt. The after-sales and customer service are just terrible. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend shopping here unless you're willing to take a big risk.
Review of Dunlop DS26 Ladies Mountain Bike from Sportsdirect.com
I recently made a purchase from sportsdirect.com, and I must say that I am quite impressed with their services. I ordered a mountain bike from Dunlop, which cost me 89.99? and had a 26'' frame in purple and white color. The bike was delivered to me in Malta within five days of placing the order, which was quite fast.
After using the bike for a few days, I received an email from the company requesting me to leave a review. I decided to give an honest and detailed review so that others could make an informed decision about the product. I wrote about the pros and cons of the bike, which I purchased. You can read my review on the following link: http://www.sportsdirect.com/dunlop-ds26-ladies-mountain-bike-26-inch-***?colcode=***24#customerreviews
The bike looks nice, and the double suspension is quite effective, especially when you are sitting on it. The frame appears sturdy, but it is quite heavy. The price of the bike is affordable, and the delivery was very fast. However, there were a few cons that I noticed while using the bike. The tires and wheels take up to 90kg, which is not mentioned in the product description. The gears were messed up when I rode the bike for the first time, and I had to play around with them for 20 minutes to make them work. The painting scratches easily, and the gear levers on the hand are not comfortable to change. The V brakes are hard to adjust, and the saddle is very stiff and narrow, making it extremely uncomfortable.
Despite these cons, I would still recommend this bike on promotion, but not at the original price. However, when I posted my review, the company disapproved it without any reason, even though I did not violate any community terms. I have already sent an email to their customer service requesting a justification for this.
Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase from sportsdirect.com, and I would recommend it to others. However, I would advise them to be careful while using the bike and to keep in mind the cons that I mentioned in my review.
Disrespectful Customer Service Experience with SportsDirect: Faulty Items and Endless Requests for Details
I recently had an experience with SportsDirect that left me feeling frustrated and disrespected. I received a faulty item in the mail and contacted customer service with photos and details. The first person who replied asked me to send the photos and details again, which I did. The second person replied and said they would send an exchange item, which arrived faulty again. I contacted customer service again and was told I could send it back for a refund. However, the fourth person who replied asked for the details again and said I could only get 20% off in their website. I replied that I had already been told I could get a refund and that I had received two faulty items. The fifth person who replied understood my frustration and told me to send the item back for a refund, which I did at a cost of 6.90 euros. I was told I would get my postage refund if I provided proof, which I did. However, the sixth person who replied asked for the details again and said I could only get the refund once the item arrived at the facility.
After a few days, I received a warning from my bank that I had only received a refund for the faulty item and not for the postage. I contacted customer service again and was asked to send the details of my order and bank account. I sent them and explained that I had already explained the situation too many times and had always forwarded the emails before. Today, I received another email asking for the details again and offering a voucher or transfer.
I have been dealing with this for two months now and have always forwarded the emails. I have tried to be patient and polite, but I feel completely disrespected by SportsDirect. The customer service is disorganized and I am never going to buy from them again. I even tried to return the item in store because they had tweeted that it was possible, but they did not specify that it was not possible in Spain. I spent a lot of money to go to their far away store and was disappointed to find out I could not return the item there.
To make matters worse, they keep asking me to send the details of my bank account even though I have already sent them multiple times. It feels like they are not taking me seriously and are just joking with me at this point. I hope they can improve their customer service in the future so that others do not have to go through what I did.
SportsDirect's Refund Policy Left Me Disappointed and Stressed
I recently had an experience with SportsDirect that left me feeling extremely frustrated and disappointed. My son needed a new pair of astro boots, and after trying four different local stores, we were unable to find the ones he wanted in his size. So, I decided to order them online.
When the boots arrived, we were unsure which size to order, so I ordered both an 8 and an 8.5 in the men's size. I had them delivered to the store, where my son tried them on and decided to go with the bigger size. However, when I tried to return the smaller pair, I was told that I could only exchange them or receive a credit note in store. If I wanted a refund, I would have to send them back and pay for the postage myself. I was shocked and disappointed by this policy, as I had paid to have the items delivered to the store and expected to be able to return them there as well.
After paying ?3 to return the boots, I was expecting a full refund of ?23 to my card. Instead, I received a ?10 gift voucher. I was not happy with this, as I had specifically requested a refund to my card and had not been informed that I would be receiving a voucher instead. I had spent ?73.48 online, and my son had used a ?10 gift voucher towards one of the Spurs shirts. So, I had paid ?63.48 on my card. Any other company would have allowed me to return the boots to the store and receive a full refund to my card.
I had email conversations with SportsDirect before returning the boots, and at no point did they mention that I would be receiving a voucher instead of a refund. I cannot afford to lose this money, and I am extremely unhappy and stressed about the situation. As a family that counts every penny, this is going to make paying my credit card bill next month very difficult. We will have to cut back elsewhere, and I am not sure how SportsDirect expects me to do that.
The astro boots were for my son's PE class, and the Spurs shirts were for my sons' birthdays. We were not trying to spoil our children, but rather provide them with the things they needed and wanted. I am extremely disappointed in SportsDirect and will not be shopping with them again. They have lost a loyal customer in me.
Pathetic and Appalling: My Experience with SportsDirect
SportsDirect is a website that sells sports equipment and clothing. I had a bad experience with them when I tried to order swimming goggles. First, they charged a high postage cost of ?5, which was surprising to me. Then, they removed the goggles from my order without any explanation. When I tried to add them back, I found out that my order was already being processed and couldn't be changed. This was frustrating because the goggles were the whole reason I visited their website.
I tried to contact SportsDirect through email, but they only answered occasionally. It took multiple emails for them to agree to refund the postage of my first order and let me order a new pair of goggles. However, when I received the goggles, they were child-sized instead of adult senior-sized, as advertised. When I tried to log in to my account to ask for help, I found out that they had deleted my account. This seemed like retribution for complaining the first time.
When I emailed them again, they ignored my emails until I threatened to withdraw payment from my credit card company. They promised to refund the goggles, but they haven't done so yet. I fear that they are lying about this, just like they claimed to have no record of my account, even though I had logged in and out of it several times when making my orders.
The biggest problem with SportsDirect is that they have no phone number or direct chat help. This makes it difficult to get resolution for any problems that may arise. Their emails are only answered occasionally, which is frustrating for customers who need help right away. If they had a person on the phone to talk to, it would have solved my first minor issue immediately.
In conclusion, my experience with SportsDirect was pathetic and appalling. They charged high postage costs, removed items from my order without explanation, sent me faulty goods, deleted my account, ignored my emails, and denied me a refund for faulty goods. This is not how a company should treat its customers.
SportsDirect's Customer Service Lacks Basic Standards: Be Cautious When Ordering
I recently made a purchase from SportsDirect and ordered two packs of trainer socks, among other items. I was excited to see that they were offering a choice of white, black, or pastel socks. Being a fan of pastel colors, I chose to buy two packs of pastel socks. However, when my order arrived, I was disappointed to find that I had been sent one pack of white socks and one pack of grey socks with different colors on the toes and heels. These socks were not even listed on the website anywhere!
I immediately contacted customer services to inform them of the mistake. However, to my surprise, they told me that I had been sent the correct items. I was shocked by their response, as it was clear that the socks I received were not the ones I had ordered. When I pointed this out to them, they referred me to a sentence at the bottom of the description that said, "The color you receive may vary from the image shown."
While I understand that colors may vary slightly, this phrase did not suggest that I might receive completely different socks from the ones I had ordered. Moreover, if there are three color options available, and I click on one to buy that color, I expect to receive that color, not something completely different. It just doesn't make sense.
I was disappointed by their response and felt that they did not care about their customers. It was clear that they had no intention of rectifying the mistake or offering a refund. As the socks were low in value, it was not worth spending money to return them. However, I was left feeling frustrated and disappointed.
After reading other reviews, I realized that this had happened to many other customers. It is an absolutely ridiculous policy that is not going to inspire loyalty in their customers. It is clear that you cannot trust this company, and I will not be buying from them again.
In conclusion, I would advise others to be cautious when ordering from SportsDirect. While they offer a wide range of products, their customer service is lacking, and they do not seem to care about their customers' satisfaction. If you do decide to order from them, be prepared to receive something completely different from what you ordered. It is a shame that such a large company cannot get the basics of customer service right.
Unsatisfactory Purchase from SportsDirect: Requesting Refund for Adidas Goletto FG Hard Boot and Sondico Flair Slip
I recently made a purchase on August 22, 2015 from SportsDirect and I am not satisfied with the goods I received. I am requesting a refund for my son's Adidas Goletto FG hard boot (serial number ***8130) and Sondico Flair slip (serial number ***1020) as they are not suitable for my 3-year-old son's football practice.
I visited the SportsDirect branch at Aberdeen Kitty and asked the attendant if I could get a refund or exchange if the boots were not suitable. She assured me that I could get my money refunded or exchange the items for another one. However, she did not mention anything about their return/refund policy, which I only found out about yesterday afternoon.
I am a regular customer to many other clothing and retail shops in the UK, and all of them always refund me my money back if the items I bought were not suitable. I feel cheated and deceived by SportsDirect as they did not inform me about their return/refund policy on the day I bought the goods. I also feel like I am being forced to buy what I don't need.
SportsDirect policies are not very clear, and I plan to escalate this deception using the Sale of Goods Act 1979 to all the relevant authorities in the UK and also to all relevant authorities in the European Union. I also plan to inform the office of the consumer goods and services ombud about these unfair practices by SportsDirect.
I need my money back, and I am feeling very distressed about this deception. I have been misled, and I feel that I am being forced to buy goods that I don't really need. SportsDirect, why the deception? Is this how you mislead other customers and force them to buy goods they don't really need?
To resolve this issue, I want my money back with an apology for misleading me on the day I bought those items. The store manager was very nasty and not helpful at all. I hope SportsDirect can rectify this situation and improve their customer service in the future. My receipt details are: store 0220 Till no. 02 Tran: *** Date: 22.08.2015 Oper: *** App. Id: A010.
Disastrous Delivery: My Experience with SportsDirect.Com
So, I gotta say, I've had some mixed experiences with SportsDirect.Com. I mean, I've bought stuff from them before and it's been fine, but this last time was a real doozy.
I ordered three items back in March, and I used a credit note from a previous return to pay for part of it. I got an email and some text messages saying that my stuff was gonna be delivered on Friday the 29th. I waited around all day for it, and finally saw a lady with a parcel who seemed lost. I went out to ask her if it was for me, but she said it was for someone else in my building. I had a feeling it was actually mine, but she said she couldn't give it to me if the other people weren't home.
Then I saw a guy on my balcony who was clearly up to no good. He told the lady to buzz him again, and when she went up to him, he took my parcel and left. I didn't even know what had happened until I checked my phone and saw a message saying "enjoy your package!" What package?! The one that Hermes gave away to a thief?!
I was freaking out, but I managed to contact Hermes and they said they'd get back to me within 28 hours. I was going on vacation that Sunday and I really wanted those items to take with me, but I didn't hear back from Hermes until Monday or Tuesday. They apologized and said their courier had messed up, and told me to contact SportsDirect.Com and let them know what happened.
So I did that, but apparently I used the wrong email address or something, because they couldn't find my order. I sent them another email with all the info they needed, but I haven't heard back from them in a few days. I'm not gonna let this go, though. I didn't do anything wrong, I just wanted to buy some stuff. And now I'm out of pocket because of some stupid thief and a careless courier.
I mean, I know mistakes happen, but this was a pretty big one. I even have surveillance footage of the whole thing! I just want my money back or my items, is that too much to ask?
Disrespectful and Racist Treatment at Sports Direct: My Disappointing Experience
I recently had an experience at Sports Direct that left me feeling disappointed and disrespected. I visited the East Ham store about seven weeks ago and it was the worst experience I have ever had in any retail store. I walked in with a McDonald's drink and my headphones on, but was physically pulled by the security guard on my left arm and told to leave. I was confused and asked why I needed to leave, but was told it was because I was drinking in the store. I asked where I could leave my drink and also asked the security guard to not put his hands on me. However, he became very aggressive and made me feel intimidated. He then asked me to leave, which was very confusing as I hadn't done anything wrong, so I asked to speak to a manager.
The security guard laughed at me and told me there was no one there to see me, which made me feel helpless. I then asked one of the Sports Direct staff to call a manager, but was told that he was busy and wouldn't be able to help me. I waited outside the entrance door for a manager to come, but in the meantime, the security guard told me to "shut the f*** up, you stupid black c***". I was shocked and humiliated. I asked him for his name and to get a manager, but he refused and told me that he wasn't racist as his wife is black. I don't appreciate anyone putting negativity on my race.
Finally, a manager came over and I tried to explain the situation to him, but he didn't seem bothered and looked at me like this has happened before. The security guard was then asked to move away from me while I told the manager what happened. I asked the manager for the customer service number, but he told me there wasn't one. I left feeling very upset and asked for his name, which he refused to give me. I then called the customer service number, but spent over an hour on the phone trying to get hold of someone, which was very unhelpful. I expressed how upset I was to the receptionist on the phone and told her what happened, which she was very apologetic about and said she would put me through to someone. However, 7 weeks later, I still haven't heard anything, which is absolutely disgusting.
I have returned everything that I own from Sports Direct and will never shop there again. As a fashion mens YouTuber, I plan on sharing this experience with my followers as I can't believe this has happened to me. It's shocking to know that Sports Direct has amazing black role models supporting their brand such as Anthony and Little Mix, but I can be racially attacked by their staff. I haven't made any tweets yet, but I will be making my followers aware of this and want to know how Sports Direct is going to deal with this.
The response from Sports Direct was a template message, which was disappointing. They apologized for the incident and thanked me for bringing it to their attention. They assured me that they strive to achieve the highest levels of service and that they were concerned about my perception of the service I received. They also said that they expect the highest standard of customer service from all of their employees and were sorry to learn of this incident. They confirmed that the security company they used at the time is no longer working in that store and that they have a new company covering them. They also said that they are investigating this as a matter of priority and will be taking the appropriate steps. They assured me that my comments have been passed on to the area manager responsible and that they take all feedback, whether positive or negative, very seriously.
In conclusion, I would not recommend buying from Sports Direct. They are the most racist company I have ever spent my money in. The incident I experienced was unacceptable and I hope they take the appropriate steps to ensure it never happens again.
Terrible Customer Service Experience with SportsDirect: Frustrating and Disappointing
SportsDirect is a company that I have used many times in the past, as I am a larger person and they offer sizes that fit me. I always buy the same products from them in the same size from the same manufacturer, and I have been doing this for years. However, my recent experience with their customer service was by far the worst I have had in many years.
I placed an order for some shirts, but when they arrived, they did not fit me. This was very odd, as I had bought the same items before and they had fit perfectly. I checked the size chart on the website and everything seemed to be the same as before. I even checked the shirts I had as spares in my wardrobe, and they were the same size and color as the new ones I had ordered. So, I contacted the company and was told that I could either post the items back for a full refund or take them into a local store for a credit note.
When I went to the store to return the items, I was told that I could only get a credit note, which was fine with me. However, when I asked if they could take back a free mug that came with my order, they said they couldn't and told me to put it in the bin outside the shop. This upset me, and I asked to speak to a manager. The manager said that they do not issue refunds on postage, even though the website states otherwise. I asked for his name, but he refused to give it to me.
I tried using the online chat system on their website, but it didn't work on my phone. I asked the manager if he could give me the head office number, and he finally agreed. However, when I tried calling the number, there was no answer. I asked the manager to try calling them, but he refused. In the end, I gave up and got a part credit note, but I will never shop there again.
Overall, my experience with SportsDirect was very frustrating. The customer service was terrible, and I felt like they didn't care about my issue. I hope they can improve their service in the future, as I know many people who rely on them for their larger sizes.

RACSIM FROM STAFF MEMBERS!
Dear Sports Direct,
Firstly, I would like to start off by saying how disappointed and disrespected i feel by the service i have been given at your east ham store.
I went into the east ham store about 7 weeks ago and had the worst experience i have every received in any retail store. I entered the store with a McDonalds drink with my head phones on. I was then physically pulled by the security on my left arm and was told to leave. I then asked him why i need to leave and he told me i am drinking a drink in the store. I asked him where i could leave my drink and also to not put hes hands on me he then started to be very aggressive in hes tone of voice and made me feel very intimidated. He then asked me to leave which i was very confused on why as i haven't done anything wrong so I asked to speak to a manager. He then laughed at me and told me there is no one here to see me which made me feel very helpless. I then kindly asked one of the sports direct staff to call a manager who then told me that he is busy so wont be able to help me. I waited out the entrance door for a manager to come but in the mean time i was told by your security guard to "shut the f*** up, you stupid black c***" now far as im aware i do not expect my race to play apart in any customer experience. I then asked him to give me hes name and to get a manager, which he refused to do and told me that hes not racist as hes wife is black. Now i do not appropriate any white person putting negativity on my race. I was absolutely humiliated and felt very helpless. A manager finally came over and i tried explaining the situation to him but he didn't really sound bothered and looked at him like this has happened before. The security guard was then asked to move away from me while i told him what happened as he was very rude and seemed to find it funny. I asked the manager for the customer service number and he told me there isnt one so i left feeling very upset then i asked for hes name which he refused to give me. I then called ***200 which i spent over an hour on the phone trying to get hold of someone which was very unhelpful. I expressed how upset i was to the the receptionist on the phone and told her what happen which she was very apologetic about and she said she would put me through to someone. Which was a waste of time as 7 weeks later i still have not heard anything. WHICH I AM Absolutely DISCUSSED by. I have returned everything that i own from sports direct and would NEVER shop there again. I am actually a fashion mens youtuber so i am planning on sharing this experience as i cant believe this has happened to me. Knowing that you have amazing black role models supporting your brand such as Anthony, Little mix ect but i can be racially attacked by your staff? I have made any tweets yet but i will be making my followers aware of this and want to know how sports direct are going to deal with this?

DO NOT BUY FROM SPORTS DIRECT! THE MOST RASICT COMPANY I HAVE EVER SPENT MY MONEY IN.
Poor Customer Service and Misleading Information at Sports Direct
Sports Direct is a store that sells sports equipment and clothing. I recently had a bad experience with them when I tried to return some items that were not fit for purpose. I purchased the items four months ago and according to the Consumer Rights Act 2015, I have the right to request a repair or replacement of faulty goods within six months of purchase.
I went to my nearest store to try and get a replacement or refund, but the manager was not there and the staff told me that after 28 days from the date of purchase, I have no rights. This is incorrect and I was very disappointed. I decided to contact Sports Direct Customer Services via an online form and a member of the Customer Service team advised me to email photos of the faulty items and proof of purchase, which I did.
I had to wait almost two weeks for a reply, which advised me to take the goods to a store and speak to a manager. I went back to my nearest store, but the manager was not there again and a member of staff repeated that after 28 days from the date of purchase, I have no rights. I was very frustrated and decided to email Customer Services again. They replied that I should post the goods with Royal Mail recorded delivery. However, they did not state that they would cover the postage, which I think is unfair. As a customer, I should not have to pay for the return of faulty goods.
I feel that Sports Direct's response is designed to put customers off from returning bad quality goods. The staff provide misleading information about consumer rights, which is not acceptable. I would not recommend shopping at Sports Direct based on my experience.
SportsDirect: Outdated Payment Methods and Poor Customer Service
SportsDirect is a company that I wouldn't recommend to anyone. I had a terrible experience with them recently. I ordered five items from their website, but when I received them, they were nothing like the description in the advert. I contacted customer service, and they initially said that they saw nothing wrong with the items. However, I sent them photos of the items I received and the photo on the advert, and they finally agreed to accept a return.
But here's the kicker: they would only pay back the return costs with a cheque! Can you believe it? In this day and age, who uses cheques anymore? I live in Holland, and a UK cheque is about as useful as toilet paper here. Nobody uses chequebooks on the continent anymore. I haven't used one in over 25 years!
I tried to explain to SportsDirect that the rest of the world uses things like credit cards, internet banking, and PayPal, where it's easy to transfer payments electronically. But they just didn't seem to get it. With an electronic payment, the money is actually paid back. With a cheque, there's always the possibility that someone won't be able to cash it.
Overall, I was very disappointed with SportsDirect. Their customer service was slow and unhelpful, and their payment methods are outdated and inconvenient. I feel sorry for anyone who has to work for this company. They're obviously bound hand and foot by the ripoff rules made by management. It's no wonder that Brexit Brits want to isolate themselves from the rest of the world. SportsDirect is just a cowboy company, so beware!

Misleading Product Description & Poor Customer Service from SportsDirect
I recently ordered a pair of Nike "FUNDAMENTAL" training gloves from SportsDirect's website, but unfortunately, I received the wrong pair (Nike "ESSENTIAL" gloves). I was pretty bummed out about it, but I decided to head over to my local SportsDirect store to return the item.
The store personnel who handled my query were pretty helpful and even agreed that the wrong item was sent to me. They suggested that SportsDirect.com should update the pictures and description of the item on their website as it is definitely misleading customers. I couldn't agree more!
To make matters worse, another member of staff informed me that the Nike "Fundamental" Training Gloves have now been replaced by the Nike "Essential" Training Gloves. If I had known that the "Fundamental" version had been replaced by the "Essential" range, I definitely wouldn't have gone ahead with the purchase. It just makes sense, right? I could have saved myself the inconvenience.
But wait, there's more...
The total amount of my order was ?14.98 (including ?4.99 delivery), so I paid ?9.98 via PayPal, including a ?5 gift card. However, SportsDirect refunded me ?4.99 via PayPal and emailed me a ?5 voucher. Seriously, what the heck?
Considering they sent me the wrong item in the first place, SportsDirect should have at least refunded me in the same manner I originally paid (?9.98 via PayPal and ?5 gift card). It's just common courtesy, right?
Overall, I was pretty disappointed with SportsDirect's customer service. I definitely won't be ordering from there again and will be warning my family and friends too! It's been a while since I lodged my complaint, but I haven't received any response or email from SportsDirect.com. Not cool, guys.
SportsDirect Overcharged Me for Trainers - Disappointing Customer Service
I recently bought some trainers from SportsDirect's website and paid ?77.99 plus ?4.99 for postage. But when I opened the box, I found two tickets that clearly stated the price should have been ?57! I was pretty annoyed about this, so I contacted SportsDirect to ask for a refund of the ?20 overcharge.
Their response was not what I was hoping for. They basically said that the lower price on the tickets was meant for a retail store promotion, and that the prices on their website might be different due to promotions. They also said that I had agreed to the item pricing when I checked out and paid for my order, so they wouldn't issue me a refund for the price difference.
I was pretty disappointed with this response, and it made me realize that I probably shouldn't buy from SportsDirect again. It's a shame, because I've heard good things about their products, but I don't want to risk getting overcharged again. I also don't think I'll be shopping in any of their physical stores, either.
Overall, I think SportsDirect needs to do a better job of ensuring that the prices on their website match the prices in their stores. It's not fair to customers to charge them more than what an item is actually worth. I hope they take steps to fix this issue in the future.
Disappointing Service from SportsDirect.com: Missing Scooter, Poor Delivery, and No Response from Customer Service
I recently made an order on sportsdirect.com for a scooter and helmet. The process was smooth and the payment was deducted from my account right away. I was excited to receive my order and eagerly awaited the delivery date. However, when the delivery date arrived, only the helmet was delivered. I asked the Hermes driver about the scooter, but he had no information about it. I thought maybe it was going to be delivered later, so I didn't worry too much about it.
When I received the paperwork that came with the helmet, I noticed that it indicated that the scooter had already been delivered. This confused me, so I decided to email the [protected]@ email address to inquire about it. Unfortunately, I didn't receive any response for days. I sent a second email, but still no reply. I then tried to call the cs number, but the phone line was always busy. When I finally got through, the line went dead after a few seconds.
Days passed, and I still hadn't received any updates about my order. Then, I received a text message from Hermes saying that a parcel was going to be delivered. When I got home, I found out that my neighbor had signed for it. She mentioned that she told the driver that she would sign for the package but was not responsible for its condition. When I saw the parcel, I was shocked. It was completely battered and held together with brown sticky tape and sellotape. It looked terrible! I didn't even bother to check the state of the scooter. It was supposed to be a birthday present for my little boy, but I definitely won't be wrapping that up!
I tried to contact sportsdirect.com again through email and phone, but I still haven't received any response. I'm really disappointed with the service I received. It's frustrating to not be able to get any updates about my order or to get through to customer service. I hope they can improve their service in the future.
Terrible Customer Service Experience at SportsDirect: Refund Denied and No Response from Customer Service
I gotta say, my experience with SportsDirect was a real bummer. I went to the store and bought a pair of trainers, only to find out later that they were way cheaper online. I thought it would be no big deal to get the difference refunded, but boy was I wrong.
I tried calling the store for three whole hours and nobody picked up. So I decided to drive all the way there, which was 11 miles away, just to talk to the manager. But even then, they wouldn't give me the refund unless I had seen the online price before buying in store. That seemed pretty unfair to me, so I asked what else I could do.
I spent two hours in the store, trying to get through to their customer service center. I must have tried 33 times before I finally got through and waited in a 32-minute queue. When I finally spoke to someone, they said it was up to the manager to decide whether or not to give me the refund. I was hopeful, but the manager was too scared of getting fired to help me out.
I even emailed customer service, but I never got a reply or a call back, even when I asked for one. And to make matters worse, the customer service number was chargeable, so I ended up paying ?35 to my network provider just to deal with this mess.
I went back to the store for help, but they wouldn't give me the area manager's details because of "data protection." When I offered to leave my own details, they said they couldn't promise anything. And sure enough, I never heard back from anyone.
Honestly, I'm never going back to SportsDirect again. It was a terrible experience, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. At least O2 was nice enough to refund me half of the charges I incurred, because they couldn't believe how bad it was.
Poor Customer Service and Missing Items: My Disappointing Experience with SportsDirect
I recently had a pretty bad experience with SportsDirect. I ordered 20 items and paid almost ?20 for delivery, but when my package arrived, I only received one item out of the 20 I ordered. I was pretty upset about this and decided to reach out to their customer service department. Unfortunately, my experience with their customer service was not great at all.
When I tried to talk to them about the issue, all I got was the same response over and over again. Eventually, I received an email saying that my ticket had been resolved, even though it hadn't been resolved at all. When I replied to the email to let them know that my issue still hadn't been resolved, I was told to just return the whole order and I would be refunded fully with the delivery charge. I asked to speak to a manager, but was ignored.
As someone who works in customer service myself, I was pretty disappointed with the way I was treated. I've never experienced anything like this before and I definitely didn't feel like a valued customer. I've ordered from SportsDirect around 1000 times before and all of my orders were usually around or more than ?300. It's pretty disrespectful to be treated this way after being such a loyal customer.
One of the staff members, Lauren, was particularly rude and unprofessional. I would never imagine my own staff talking to customers this way. I definitely won't be using SportsDirect again and I would recommend that others stay away as well. If there's anything wrong with your order, you won't be helped - you'll just be ignored.
To make matters worse, I now have to pay for postage to send the items back because they don't accept returns in-store for items that were bought online. It's just another frustrating aspect of this whole experience.
Thrilling and Heartfelt: A Review of The Kite Runner
The worst customer service experience I've ever had.
I wanted to get my son some new school shoes for the last three weeks of school but they didn't have them in his size in the store (the Banbury store and staff there were fantastic and very helpful- this review is not about them!).
I ordered the school shoes online for next day delivery with a few other bits. Got a notification from Evri on the day it was meant to be delivered that the parcel had been delayed and wouldn't be delivered that day but with no explanation. I contacted sportsdirect (you can only do this by email or webchat- for speed I used webchat but it was glitchy and kicked me out a few times after a lengthy chat witha very unhelpful AI) and they said they couldn't even chase it for a minimum of 48 hours after an update but that they would refund me the difference in price between next day and standard delivery.
After 48 hours with no update from Evri, no contact or refund from sportsdirect, I contacted sportdirect via their webchat again. They said all they could do was put in a investigation request which would take 48 hours (as this was over a weekend it took 4 days!).
I received no update or contact throughout this so after the 48hrs had passed I contacted sportsdirect again via their webchat. They said Evri had asked for another 48 hrs to investigate and that they could not refund until they had written confirmation that Evri had lost the parcel which they seam unable to get. So a week and a half after my parcel was meant to be delivered I've ended up having to buy the shoes else where, have no idea where the original parcel is or if it'll be delivered and have no idea if or when I'll receive a refund for the ?50 odd I'd spent on stuff I'll never receive.
SportsDirect.com's Shocking Packaging and Poor Customer Service: A Review
I recently made an online purchase from SportsDirect.com for some Lego collectibles that come in their own special and collectible style boxes. However, I was shocked to find out how they packaged my items for the shipping journey. Instead of using a proper box with padding, they put them in a non-padded plastic shipping bag. This is a major problem because my items arrived in a thin plastic bag that was easily damaged in transit. As a result, all three items were damaged, and the boxes were also impacted, lowering their collector's value.
What's even more shocking is that the plastic bag packaging had holes and rips, which made it even easier for the items to be damaged. This is unacceptable, and it shows that Sports Direct does not take proper care of their customers' purchases. They need to change their procedures and take ownership of their faults rather than expect customers to pay postage to send something back caused by their own negligence.
When I contacted customer services about the issue, I was disappointed with their response. They were redundant in their approach, insisting that I submit the customer service website form about the issue with pictures, and then they replied back with an email to restate my entire concern and provide pictures again via email. This is a waste of time and effort, and it shows that they are not really coordinated or willing to help you. The vibes I got from their response was that they don't care about their customers and that it's not their fault.
To make matters worse, the link they emailed me about "You can find further information regarding online returns by clicking the following link" doesn't even work! This is unacceptable, and it shows that they are not willing to take responsibility for their mistakes.
In comparison, I ordered Legos from Lego.com, and they shipped their Lego products in a separate cardboard box with padding inside to protect the Lego boxes. This is how it should be done, and it shows that Lego cares about their customers and their purchases.
In conclusion, I cannot recommend SportsDirect.com because of their shocking packaging methods, poor service, and damaged collectible goods. This business cannot be trusted, and I urge others to be cautious when making purchases from them.
Terrible Customer Service Experience at SportsDirect on Oxford Street
I gotta say, SportsDirect is not the best place to shop. I had a really bad experience with their customer service. It was so bad that I felt humiliated and disrespected. I don't think I'll ever buy anything from them again.
First of all, the staff is not professional at all. I was looking for a pair of Nike Air Relentless 6 shoes in black. I went to their store on Oxford street, but I could only find them in blue. I asked the shop assistant if they had them in black, but he didn't know. He said they only had the same items in the storage as the ones on the floor. I begged him to check, and it turned out they had them.
But that's not all. The staff is also incompetent. When I was trying on the shoes, another customer liked them and asked where I found them. I told her, and she asked the salesperson to check for her. The salesperson told me to show her the shoes, but when I was about to, he disappeared for 30 minutes with my shoes.
And if that wasn't bad enough, the staff is also rude and disrespectful. I waited for 30 minutes, and I was running late for my appointment. He finally appeared with my shoes, but when I grabbed them and wanted to go downstairs to get another item from the same store and pay together, the store employee stopped me and asked where I was taking the shoes. I told him I was taking them to the till, but he said customers are not allowed to carry the shoes due to security. He said he would follow me to the ground floor with the shoes.
But it doesn't end there. Before I was waiting for the salesperson who disappeared with my shoes, I asked another employee where the pink Nike fitness gloves were. He said they were on the ground floor, but it turned out they were on the first floor. So the guy who followed me downstairs had to follow me upstairs holding my shoes.
And to top it all off, when I went to the till, I was already so frustrated that I got my debit card password wrong. One of the cashiers told the cashier serving me: "I am getting frustrated with this customer, aren't you?"
I'm telling you, I am never shopping here again.
Slazenger mens sweat shirts
I’m a regular customer of Sports Direct ,but was very disappointed when shopping a t Merry Hill today.I purchased 3 Slaz mens sweat shirts they were marked up at 3 for £23 ,when I arrived at the till to pay i was told that the offer no longer existed.Surely they should not be on display showing the special offer.Very Very disappointed.
Date visited the Merry Hill Store today October 14
UA Project Rock athletic shorts
On August 18, 2022, I paid $ 49.50 each for two pair of Project Rock men's athletic shorts, plus $ 21.75 shipping, online to Sports Direct. The order # was SDUS40000092140036. Unfortunately, I had ordered the wrong size, small rather than large. Finding return instructions but no exchange option at Sports Direct online, on August 29, 2022, I paid UPS $ 16.00 to return my order to the Sports Direct U.S. shipping depot in Folcroft PA, from which my order was mailed. Returning the order to Sports Direct U.K. headquarters would have cost $ 135 using the least expensive UPS option. My note inserted with return information requested an exchange for the proper size. UPS tracking reported the package delivered to Folcroft on September 1, 2022. On September 10, 2022, having received no reply from Sports Direct, I emailed Sports Direct customer service to press the request. Receiving no reply, I logged my customer order # and a description of the problem into the Sports Direct customer service page online, using the recommended texting option. This yielded only incessant requests for my name, which I kept providing. So, I sent more email. When the company eventually responded, a clerk (mostly different each time) requested order information I had already provided. Finally, weeks after initiating my request for an exchange, I was told the company could do nothing more since it could not confirm that my return reached anyone at the Folcroft depot. The degree of difficulty securing any meaningful dialogue with Sports Direct and the unsatisfactory outcome are unacceptable, especially in this age of Amazon & other marketers competing for business. Beware of Sports Direct.
Desired outcome: I still welcome an exchange for the correct size.
Overcharged
I went to a sport direct to buy safety shoes, socks and underwear. I went to the till and tried to pay. On the machine it says card declined then i received a notification that 39.99 came out of my account. I told the clerk that i was charged and he said i didn't. I showed him my bank account and he insisted i didn't pay so i press contactless and the payment went through. Another large man came to get a refund and was very agressive so i waited until he left to talk to the manager.
She let a few people from the queue and ignored me standing there . When i got a hold of her she told me after a few seconds on the phone that my money is pending and i will receive in 12 hours now 24 hours later the money is not back to my account.
Desired outcome: I need my money backI spent 79.98 on a purchase of 39.99 and in homeless so its a threat to my survival until i get my first monthly paycheck.
Discrimination
Dear Sir/Madam
On the 15/2/22 I tried to enter a Sports Direct store in Paralimni Cyprus at approximately 5:30 p.m.
On arrival I was asked to produce a safe pass. I showed the lady at the entrance my control group card (with my photo and name and QR code) and stated I can not be vaccinated and am exempt from restrictions. The lady then called the manager who refused to look at the card and refused me entry.
Legally those who get the vaccine are unnamed participants in a stage 4 FDA trial. As with all medical trials there is a requirement for two control groups. I have previously been infected with SARS-Covid 19 and as a volunteer I have joined a medical control group. The available data states that natural immunity gives you more protection than vaccinated participants.
As a participant in this important worldwide health study I am helping to provide vital data enabling the study to measure the successes and impact of the mass covid 19 vaccination programmes.
Therefore it is illegal to discriminate on this basis.
The lady in question has breached the Universal Declaration of Human Rights
Article 1
Article 3
Article 23
Article 27
I am also protected under the International Code of Medical Ethics.
I am also protected under the Nuremberg Code (1947).
Please can you provide me with the name of the female Manger of this store, as I have to report discrimination to the company’s legal team.
If however I receive a letter of apology and allowed to enter this store I would consider this a satisfactory conclusion.

Staff / manager store
I would like to share my terrible experience with the sports direct store in staples corner in London. I visited with my wife and 2 kids the staffs are awful in the store most of the store staff and terrible no have zero interest in customers. So the store I visited mentioned above the staff who came and approached
Very aggressively you “mate you can’t try on you have to go charging “ I was only trying the top. So he come second time and asking aggressively are we buying this item
Pointing at the item at threat point I asked him
What exactly his problem he replied back saying there is a policy in place and it is a private land I asked him to explain he couldn’t care less and keeps walking away I asked him for manager he himself is the manager. He refused to give his name when I said I want to make complaints about his behaviour towards customer. I feel I was harassed by him in the store his a black male in his 40s I think. He has zero interest in customers his behaviour is unacceptable and people like him should not be dealing with customers in shop floor it very distressing especially if you have family with you. He then threatened me with security saying not to harass another member of staff. I was asking another member of staff why manger or staff
Don’t give names I was not harassing in fact it’s the opposite. I am making a formal complaint to the head office. I want to make sure that guy is removed from his position I don’t want another customer going through the same experience like myself.
Karrimor shoes
Good afternoon!
I am writing to you regarding to my online purchase which took place at 26.05.2020. The pair of shoes I bought damaged in very short time. I was using them only at work and I work indoors so there was no risk of any outdoor or weather caused damage. I am also unhappy of the fact I could not place my complaint in the stationary store as the staff informed me they can not take complaints if the product was bought online. You are one company so I find it unfair. It is very poor customer service. I have never had any problem like this with any other shops. If I bought online from the original site I was always able to give back the item or complain at the store. I am attaching a print screen of my receipt and pictures of the shoe which is damaged.
Kind regards,
Elzbieta Kucharska
Product misleading price labeling. And rude, unhelpful, aggressive and unsympathetic manageress.
Visit to sports direct, my mall, Limassol, sat 10/10/20 1pm.
I attempted to buy Gelert heat wear socks x 2 priced at 11€ each pair or 2 for 16€. I have a photo of both pairs identically labeled with this offer displayed on the packaging see attached, however, the only difference was the size one was ladies size 4-8 the other men's size 7-11. The offer DID NOT specify u had to buy same size.
When I queried the total = 22€ and said I thought it should be 16€ as I was buying 2 identically labelled products on offer The assistant Politely said this is not the case, I requested To speak with the manageress to express my disappointment at the misleading labeling which I felt was very obviously provoking customer dissatisfaction, she was most unhelpful, very patronizing and ended up cutting the conversation off by throwing the socks on the counter and belligerently saying 22€ and walking off. Within this conversation I asked for her name, which she refused to give me and said make a complaint to www.sportsdirect. ( I cannot find an appropriate complaints dept to email so emailed this site.). In all fairness I may have been frustrated as she kept saying that it was obvious that the offer was for the same size, however I did not raise my voice, she did and she made no attempt to try to be helpful or Show any managerial professionalism, she was in fact rude, combative And very unsympathetic, not what I would have expected from a manager.
