I reached the ordering box, did not get a greeting for 5 minuets, all I could hear was yelling in the background. I finally got a greeting saying they would be right with me. Was finally answed and my order taken without apology or excuse for the wait. Pulled up to the pay window to see there was no one manning it. 20 min later, the manager asked for my card. Payed for the meal and waited another 10 to 15 for my food with no apologies or good excuses from the manager as to why I waited 45 min in the drive through for my $12 meal. Unacceptable.

Went into steak and shake in myrtle beach near tanger outlets. It was extremely hot and humid in there. Didn't feel any different than outside. My waitress was very friendly. I dont have my receipt or I would definitely put her name in here. We got our food, it was delicious. Went to pay and sat there for about five minutes waiting on someone to ring us up. While we were standing there, we watched the employees in the kitchen. There was a guy preparing food with no gloves on. Which made me not want to eat there anymore. Also, there were employees playing around in the kitchen. I could have sworn it was a place of business and not a playground. But I see otherwise now. I dont think I will be going back there.

It was my nephew birthday and he wanted to eat at Steak and Shake. We had a party of 12. From the moment our waitress Cierra came to our table she seemed like she had an attitude. We gave her our drink orders and then she came back for the food order without bringing the drinks. She came with a few of the drinks but it took awhile for her to bring the kids shakes. When the food came out, my food came out wrong, I sent it back three different times. I asked to speak with a manager, fifteen minutes later the manager walked over with a nasty attitude as well. She wouldn't let me tell her my order correctly, she kept over talking me and saying I had this burger with just condiments. She came out with the double bacon and cheddar burger and it was wrong for the fourth time. This time I just kept the food and took off everything I don't eat. I wasn't able to eat the meal because the mayo that was on it still had it on the bread. I don't eat mayo because it breaks me out. However, the manager refused to accommodate me with my bill and we ended up paying for my whole meal with no discounts for my trouble. Also, the server (Cierra), never came back to the table to refill our drinks or bring us our check. We asked another waitress if we could get our check, she told Cierra we were ready and she still never came with the check. We waited an additional 30 minutes just to get the check. This was my third time going to this location and the service was horrible each time. I went back in a few days later with my son because he wanted to eat there and see if the service would be the same with it just being us. However, that same manager was there and said its her again so I left and definitely will not be going to this location again and possibly no other location as well.

Hi, so I went through the drive thru at 12:33 am on 6/27/2018 and I just wanted to say that was the worse experience I've ever had. Right from the start the lady taking my order was rude. I said I could like an Oreo shake and she said would that be all? Not even giving me a chance to continue. I said I would like to have the double steak burger meal you guys have for $4 and she said THE WHAT, rudely, and I repeated myself and I said but for the condiments I only want mustard, no mayo or ketchup, and she wasn't understanding and just kept being extremely rude, and I am guessing the cook got onto the headset also and he automatically got what I was saying, I didn't think it was that hard to understand. Then I ordered another another one with everything on it and when I pulled from the speaker I heard her mumble under her breathe. Then when I got to the window she just opened the window and said my total and then slammed the window shut. Then I heard her scream [censored]ing [censored]! and I am assuming she was talking about me. Normally I'm not one to complain but she was extremely rude! My receipt says the name is Aleshia B and this was from the location of the one on Betchle Ave in Springfield, Ohio.

We eat steak n shake once a week and today on pershing road Decatur il my daughter found a small piece of wood in her shake took the manager 10 minutes to come talk to me and ask if I want another hmmmm no. Finally I get it taken off my order if she would of drank that it would not of been good and prolly wont be back this isnt over I can e mail picture to anyone if needed!
milkshake delivery time and customer service
While visiting the location 1610 Scenic Hwy Sw, Snellville, GA 30078 on Saturday 6/23/2018 I came inside to place an order. The order was for one milkshake. I was advised that it would take 5 to 10 minutes for it to be ready. I waited in my vehicle for 15 minutes on a business call. When I returned to the store the employee went to check on my shake. He then made me aware that the order was not given to the back. He advised an additional 5 minutes for my order. I waited at the counter for instead 8 minutes before I stopped a manager. I told the manager what I was waiting for and he walked away to check status. He returned after another 3 minutes with an incorrect milkshake. When I made him aware he appeared annoyed, short fused, and bothered. He walked away again and return after another 4 minutes. When I complained to him his service actually got worse. He was very short in response and non apologetic. He lacked empathy, leadership, and desire to correct the issues. His name was Don Erwin. When I asked for his name and supervisors name he proceeded to write it on a napkin before I asked for him to do so on paper. The store was chaotic and the handling of the entire situation was extremely embarrassing especially as my family waited for me with five children in our vehicle. Regardless of the type of restaurant all customers should be treated with respect, dignity, and in reasonable time frames.

I went to Steak ‘n Shake at 10 pm. I was told there was going to be a wait 30-40 mins since I was with a party of 10. We ended up telling them we were gonna eat separate so that they could just seat us. They explained that they couldn't do that because of the servers. But there was one lady who was extremely rude about it. Her attitude was really nasty. I asked donnel the manager for her name but i wasn't given it. But the description of her was she had hoop earrings on. She looked fair skinned. Her hair was black. I'm very disappointed with her actions tonight. I only wish she had a kinder way of attending us.

Hello! I was traveling home on June 24th, & I stopped to eat at your location in Fair Plain, Michigan. When I walked in the floors were absolutely filthy & the place smelled awful! I should have left then, but we decided to give them a chance. Our waitress was rude & was not aware of what was going on. She seriously seemed like she was on drugs. I ordered a Frisco melt & fries & deluxe chili. The plate my burger came on was dirty, had finger prints all over. & my burger wasn't fully cooked! The fries were cold & Brown. & I had to ask for my soup. When I got my soup I asked for a spoon & she asked why I couldn't use my fork & got mad I wanted a spoon. She finally brought me a spoon that was dirty & had food on it.
I shouldn't have paid but I just wanted to get out of there. Went to the cash register, waited 15min before I was even acknowledged. I just wanted to let you know that store needs major work. I paid $15 for awful service.

I went to the Turkey Creek Steak and Shake to get a taco salad, it took about 15 minutes to wait in the drive thru which is fine I know it was busy. The girl was kinda rude which I get it was late she probably wanted to go home, understandable. I got the taco salad and went to a parking spot because I have an hour ride home and didn't want to wait. As soon as I opened it I began mixing it to get the meat and vegetables even and whatnot and I realized I wasn't seeing any meat at all. I thought maybe I just wasn't seeing it because it was dark so continued looking and the whole salad had literally two bites of taco meat in it. And it was a big salad! I was extremely disappointed but it was so late and I was so tired I just went home because it was already 930 pm and I was extremely aggravated. I don't like to go in and complain because I feel that is rude and it was already late. I just wanted to submit this complaint in hopes they can make their taco salads actually have some taco meat in them. And to top it off, the cashier ran my card twice and cancelled the transaction so on my statement it is all messed. She was busy talking so I believe she messed up the transaction and had to start over. Probably won't go back to Steak and Shake for a while.

I went through the drive thru in Cincinnati and ordered a Signature milkshake, chicken strips and French fries and wasn't told the total at the drive but when I pulled up the man took my card and charged me $12 for my meal which should've been less than $9. I asked for a receipt and he said he already threw it away and just stared at me so I left. As a broke college student and overall customer I didn't appreciate my service as well as the unknown overcharge.

Hi i went to Walmart and bought frozen steak and shake double cheeseburger and Fresno melt when. Got home warmed one of the double cheeseburgers up it was missing the cheese so that is why I'm writing u today an I also went back to Walmart to try to get my money back but they said I couldn't because I opened the burger and once open it would not be refunded
worst experience ever!!!
First off I would like to say this isn't the first time i've had poor service at this restaurant. So after we finished our food we ordered shakes. After 20 minutes waiting we finally get our shakes completely melted. No one even came and apologized to us or even explained what was taking so long. Instead when we get our shakes they hand us take home cups, bc it took forever and our shakes were completely melt including whipped cream. So when I go to ask manager does it usually takes 20 mins to get shakes he replies it does when there is shakes ahead of you in the drive thru. Then he informed me I was lucky that he even went and made my shakes after 20 mins of waiting, bc the drive thru ppl are more important. Not once did he apologized for taking so long and he showed absolutely no empathy what so ever. When you pay $12 for 3 shakes and they are completely melted and takes 20 mins. Not one time did they ever act like they cared about us as customers. If they would have came to us and explained that they were running behind or it might be a minute we would have understood, but not once did they ever do that. Matter of fact the manager was just sitting around talk to the servers and my server until I stood up after 20 mins asking where our shakes were. I have never felt so disrespected and unappreciated. I'm not sure if you guys even read these or not, but if you do here's a copy of my receipt with store number and address. As of right now i'm thinking i'm completely done with steak n shake since I guess if you dine in you're not as important as drive thru. And it gives the manager the right to be disrespectful to you and tell you waiting 20 mins for a melted milkshake is okay.

Rude employee. I went to the location by south county mall in stl missouri. I will never go to that location again I think he spit in my ranch because I asked for 2nd one. I asked for 2 in the 1st place and when I told him I wanted 2.. He rolled his eyes and I promise you I seen him spit in it. I will never be back there again the worst service I have ever received.

My husband just arrived with our dinner that he went to get near our resort. We love your restaurant and eat there often in NC. However we are very disappointed in the quality of the food and the service of your location near Myrtle Beach. It I think on Hwy 17. Not very familiar with the roads. The receipt doesn't give a location number just a customer order number. We purchased 4 Number 1 combos. Even though he could have gone thru the drive thru he was courteous enough to go inside. He was told that because he came in side he would have pay individually for the sodas. He had a written list with how everyone wanted their burgers, Nope they gave us what they wanted us to have. Some being plain. Who wants a plain burger? Didn't receive any large drinks or fries. On top of rude service. Very disappointed. will not visit this location again. We spent way of $25 bucks for food that was thrown together.

I have gone to Steak n Shakes for years. Loved them. But in the last couple of years it is impossible to get hot food through drive up. Was just at Plainfield, IN SnS at 12:30. Fries cool, steakburger just warm. This has happened every time I have gone to one of your restaurants. McDonalds can serve hot food - why can't you?

Hi I just attended your Steak ‘n Shake in Miami Florida on 88 st. They gave me a broken cup in the drive through that entirely spilled on my iPhone, car seat, and purse. I just had to pay 150$ to clean the soda out of my car and my phone is non fuctionable. I'm very upset about this as ur servers never apologized and continued to give me a soda even a size smaller than the one I ordered.

I recently went to stake n shake and found out that my absolute favorite shake was gone. I most likely won't go back due to this. I only go for a shake also the tea was basically water, I asked the waiter about this and I was told they are only allowed to use one tea bag now due to new rules. I use to love this restaurant as a go to cheap place but I can no longer go with these circumstances I hope this will change and I will be able to enjoy the restaurant again. Thanks.

Steak and Shake of Orange City Florida order number 52828 for. Both Burgers smelled very spoiled not sure if it was the bread or the onions but I could not eat them over the smell and I can normally eat just about anything. I have eaten at this Steak and Shake several times and never experienced this problem. Hopefully this can be resolved and I can continue to eat there as there are some meals that I absolutely love.

I have always loved Steak n Shake. However tonight I had one of the worse experiences ever. It was late and literally nothing else was open. My husband and U added a #1 with a large get and large come and another #1 sandwich only. The buns were not toasted and tastes horrible. The fries were fried in old oil. I could taste the old oil in every bite. This happened at the 1459 Capital Circle N.E. I may consider giving them another try because of my history with them, but one more bad experience and I will be done. I am not fond of spending good money and not getting my monies worth.

Went for lunch on your S. Dale mabry branch on sunday 6/17.
The Palace was filthy inside and out. My feet were Sticking to the floor. Mustard and ketchup containers covered with grease and filth. Waiter world not let us have separate check. If alone, i would have Walked out. This Palace is nasty. I Will not go back here, unti i am convinced thats you have cleaned this Place up.
