The woman on the speaker thru drive thru was more so less screaming at me when I pulled up(not very friendly) once I ordered, checked to make sure I had everything and I went home. My food was cold, ice cold. Gave me the wrong drink and on top of everything no condiments on my burger just cheese meat and bread(not what I ordered). Didn't get a receipt so I could properly complain. Needless to say I ate the cold food because I was starving but steak and shake in Greenville(congoree rd) should be ashamed of themselves for alllowing people to pay for such horrible service and food.
I am complaining about the customer service that I have experienced today.
Today I ordered four milkshakes through the drive through, however when I came to the window for picking up food they had my order completely wrong. My order was three regular size chocolate milkshakes with no whip cream or cherry and one nutella milkshake with whip cream and cherry. The employees game me only two chocolate milkshakes with whip cream and cherry and a nutella milkshake with nothing on it. Which was totally wrong and I repeated my order three times, but they didn't listen to me.

Absolutely the worst service I have ever received. Rude manager, long lines to get people seated, long lines to pay your bill, dirty tables not being cleaned off, food all over the floor, angry customers, extremely long wait for your order to arrive.
One table sat there dirty and not cleaned for the entire time we were there(at least an hour and a half).
I used to love going there but I will probably not go back after the way we were treated yesterday.

Pensacola, FL. My husband and I decided to stop at Steak & Shake for a burger and milkshakes. We were directed to a table. A table of 3 and a table of one were the only other customers. Waitress brought menus and a group of young people walked in as we were talking to the waitress. One of them started ordering as they were sitting down, while she was at our table. I asked how much more would it be for a milkshake instead of tea on the combo. She said, " I only work four days a week so I don't know the prices of stuff." I just shook my head and said "ok", then I ordered a large chocolate/peanutbutter shake for my husband & a large chocolate/caramel/pecan shake for myself - at which time I pointed to the type of shake I was ordering on the menu for her to see. Then I requested a few minutes to look at the menus for our food order. She went to the other table before turning in our milkshake order. That's not a problem, she came back and we ordered the single bacon cheeseburgers with fries for each of us. She brought us glasses of water.? We waited. The younger group at other table were becoming obnoxious and rude & laughing & talking about rigamortis, gore and using profanity. We waited for the waitress or the manager to ask them to watch their language in a public restaurant while other diners were present. Apparently the waitress knew them because she talked to them several times and was watching them and listening to them. So she was aware of their profanity and their conversation. We were only 2tables away from them. She served them their drinks & we still didn't have our shakes. They got their food, drinks and a banana split. Then we got ours. I asked her where were our shakes!? She said, "you didn't order any!? " I said "yes I did and I even showed you on the menu the type I wanted". She said, "well, I have trouble remembering things". I said, "excuse me"? And she repeated it. I asked why didn't she write it down!? She said it was because she got distracted cause a man at another table with a couple had hollered at her while she was at our table, so she got the order wrong. WRONG! We were looking right at that table and NO ONE at that table raised their voice or called her down. That was a lie! I told her I couldn't have missed that happening because I looked straight at that table and couldn't have missed anyone yelling at her from that table not 6 feet from us. After I reordered our shakes, she finally brought our milkshakes in "to go" cups and put them on the table then walked away!? We were finished eating by then! She brought the bill and we weren't charged for the shakes, so I decided to let it go. My husband had already gotten very disgusted and wanted to speak to the manager, but I told him I just wanted to pay and get out of there. He went out to the car. I went to the counter to pay the bill and she stated a higher amount than was on my tab!? I asked her why! She said, "cause that was because you ordered the shakes afterwards!?" I started to pay the higher bill and she asked, " how much for the tip? Or are you going to leave cash"? Unbelievable! My husband and I are both disabled and in wheelchairs and we try to show compassion for others, but this girl should not be waiting tables -Anywhere! I was a waitress years ago when I was very young and I would have NEVER treated anyone as rudely as she did us. I made very good tips doing her job forty years ago because I was pleasant, efficient, knowledgeable and considerate of my customers. If I made a mistake, I apologized and NEVER tried to pin the blame on the customer or on someone else. Even though I didn't order the best steak on the menu - I expected to be served in a respectful, pleasant manner . And if customers were being disrespectful to everyone within hearing distance, the manager or the waitperson should've requested they refrain from such language, not smile and frequent their table. I considered not informing you of this very unpleasant visit to your restaurant. But after much thought I felt you deserved to know. I've never seen this place with a lot of cars in the parking lot. I can see why, now. I saw some of the other complaints on your website regarding other locations. They are almost the same! Rudeness, disrespectfulness, callus, disinterested, irresponsible waitpersons or cashiers. Maybe your managers need a course on the "hiring of employees". Your food is good, therefore, your cooks are good, it's a shame your other employees aren't.

Myself and two other people went through the drive thru and wanted to place three separate small orders, but we're told that there was a two separate order max even though there was no one behind us in the drive thru and one of the orders was just for a soft drink. I ordered a side by side strawberry and banana shake. It took forever to get the shake, and when I did get it it was soupy and the whipped cream was really melty

When in the drive-thru, we (my family and me) had to repeat our long list of food three times with three different people responding to our order. We had short, snippy responses after we finished listing our order for the final time. We took roughly 10 minutes to list our order because they continually messed it up. We waiting in line to pay and receive our food for 10 minutes. While by the window, we overheard a few employees complain about our order and how long it was. When we finally got our food, it was sloppy and missing several items on our burgers. The packets of frys were sparse. The women who gave us our food was very curt and short with us and was obviously annoyed. Not even a thank you after we left very dissatisfied.

On 5/1 at the zanesville ohio steaknshake I waited 15 minutes at the drivethrough. Finally got to the window and mentioned how long I have waited. Girl said snottily sorry. Then she took my credit card for 5 minutes, finally tossed my bag of food out without a word. I calledcustomer service, filed a complaint and so far have had a generated email. Disappointed and worried about the security of my cc account.

She's a very hard worker when I come in overnight or even mid day she's always here working ten times harder then others in the store. I told her she should be a manager because she make sure that customers are happy and satisfied with their services. She'll make sure everyone is on there job I love everything about this young lady. And I eat here every other Tuesday 34 times a year and each time I look for Tempest. Awesome person to keep on y'all team please don't lose her. Thanks for hiring a wonderful female like her.

The person who took my order should not have been approved to work the drive-thru window. It took her about six minutes to get my order straight and my having to repeat it over and over again. Had to wait in a parking spot for her to bring out my shakes and without the drink carrier that I had requested. When I got home only one shake was correct and the other not even close to flavor ordered.

I went to the manchester store number 6. I stood to be seated for 10 minutes. They had 2 other tables seated in the whole store. While standing there 1 manager and 3 employees looked at us but never acknowledged that we were waiting to be seated. Finally the cook told us sorry and to seat ourselves. He was nice. We sat at our table fir another 5 minutes without minues or service. While the servers on duty played on there phones and just looked at us. I got up got our menus and we waitrd another 10 for a server to take our drink and food orders. The food was amazing but service here sucks. Ill drive the extra 10 minutes to go to a busier location with better service.

I did not like it but patiently waited ... then had to wait 6 minutes before taking action for my soda... watching manager and employees laughing led me to honk to get my soda .. manager played dumb .. concluding message .. Mike, next time avoid SnS and go to Caseys... SnS do not want you! .. post note...oh I use to eat at Sns (check my credit card) many times earlier in day... but message clear ... SnS late is not welcomed

Visited Steak n Shake on 4913 Dixie Highway, and had a terrible experience as usual. I had not been to this Steak n Shake in more than a year because of a string of bad experiences. We walked in and were not greeted and had to seat ourselves. There was only one server for the whole restaurant. The other employees were in the kitchen l, but I'm not exactly sure what they were doing as food was not coming out fast. The manager on duty was no help at all. He was rude to the customers and not apologetic at all. He basically told everyone that they were busy and short handed and there was nothing he could do. I personally saw two separate parties leave, and I would imagine they were not the only ones to do so in the course of the day. As I mentioned earlier, this was far from the first bad experience we've had at this restaurant.

My husband and I live on lake Panasoffkee the area is called Idlewild and live 10 miles away from wildwood.we recently had house guests for the weekend from our home town of Sarasota.we all went into Leesburg for bike fest and on way home decided to eat at steak and shake in Wildwood there were 8 of us, we went in and to our surprise they weren't busy, waited to be seated 15 minutes ! Employeeswalking right past us to the point that it was clear we weren't welcome ! I am a restaurant mgr and was outraged at your staff ! We were 4 couples ranging from age 25 to 53 .also my husband was blinded in a accident last year and for us to have to walk across the lot to Burger King after being so rudely ignored was outrageous ! I'm sending a complaint to our abate chapter for biker rights and also to agency of disabled .I feel like we were discriminated against and not only will we NEVER step foot in ANY steak and shake and Will let biker community know how we were treated ! Also filing a complaint with agency for blind and disabled thru our long term care case manager

I went to this place around 12:00pm I order a triple burger add cheese no onion no pickle. The girl was in a hurry for one! I made it home about to eat my food and it's completely has onions and pickle on the burger! And i'm allergic to it. I'm beyond pissed because I payed my money for something that was so easy to cook and make and the cooks still made it wrong! I don't understand why was it so hard for them to follow what the order ticket said! The other thing is I called back up there 5 time! And there was no answer! No one has called back! If your going to run a business you need to at least answer the phone!

I have been in your facility numerous times with my son for dining in but tonight I just wanted to get my food & come home to eat. My fries were so over done I fed them to my dogs & the edges of my burger were crunchy! I have never been so disappointed in Steak and Shake food as I was tonight! This was the worst experience i have had with steak n shake i came thru drive thur and order me and co-workers food and it was $ 46.87 i had got burgers and fries all the burgers were messed up and was real simple 3burgers with ketchup.mustard.pickles.cheese...and some all the way no mayo add cheese ..fries no salt ...fries were not fresh at all ...And then they had no receipt in bag nothing at all...then i call no answer like wow ...

slow service and missing orders
When i received my order we were missing a chili and a salad and a strawberry shake the service was bad real bad but the time the 3rd order was at the table almost everyone was done eating. The fries was cold had to ask the waitress for my ticket 3 different times talked to the manager he acted like he didn't care i thought that the manager is supposed to be there for the costumers

The service at the Olathe Strang Line location is horrible and slow. We came as a family as a reward for the kids helping with chores. They were told they could have what ever they wanted including multiple shakes. Unfortunately the time it took for the shakes to make and the poor slow service caused us to have to cut their reward short. Next time we will choose another location to reward our kids. No one seemed in a hurry to help, just in a hurry to clean and go home

Good afternoon. I'm writing this today so you are aware of how these two stores are being supervised. Viera fl and merittisland fl. When entering you smell this horrible smell from the sewer. It is very stomach turning. Stores are filthy and the floors are dingy and gross. I've seen the Viera fl Mgr shove food in her mouth. Not pay attention to the food that sits on the counter after the order is completed by the cooks. So you get cold food because no one takes pride or believes in team work. I really think twice before coming to eat here because everything I've mentioned is a constant. These stores need corporate assistance and Mgrs need to be fired !. As for the kids that are employed with your company it's just that they are kids and they need to be trained on cleanning and paying more attention to everything in the store. Team work is not something I see while here. I forgot to mention that I have come here a few times because my boyfriend and daughter enjoy the food. I hope you will listen to me and do something about all the things mentioned. Thank you!

It's ridiculous the first 4 things I ask for the store is out of. Now y can't one of your employees walk there lazy ### next door to Kroger's and get some pancake batter. And to top it off the 5th thing is a single prince of royal. its a double and I want a single. She says I have to charge u for the double but she will make it a single. Because the single comes with fries not hash browns. . I said ok. Well I didn't get my has browns. They brought me well done fries. And my burger is wrong. I didn't get the onions and tomato I asked for. This is the Dixie hwy location in prp. Anthony is the assistant manager.
