So i had a coupon for free onion rings i ordered my food and when I went to the cashier she told me ive never seen that coupon before. The coupon has the address of the steak and shake i was at. And she was staring at me saying ive never seen this i asked her to validate the address she said yah it's for here... And would not give me the onion rings! That's rediclous ! Attached is pictures
removal of salt and vinegar fries
So today I went to your establishment in Tampa, Fl to get some of the delicious salt and vinegar fries. Upon ordering the man in the speaker box informs me they are no longer available. After a brief breakdown and prayer to the lord to contain my rage, I agreed to accept the cardboard flavorless fries that y'all serve, I had to order extra ketchup in order to not taste like I just chewed the corner of a box. Here's the thing Steak n'shake I was sober and this news devastated me to my core but I kept it together, now let's replay this scenario but insert the drunk version of me who's favorite food after a night out is your salt and vinegar fries, I probably would have went to jail, just complete mayham would have been had, tears would have been cried and god only knows what else. So this is my plea to you to please add these bad boys back to the menu, I'm a nice person and really don't deserve this. I even texted my friends to let them know, they feel completely attacked as well. No one really likes your plain fries, they're boring, we need more flavor and not to play god and remove them from the menu all Willy nilly like, these are people's lives and you can't do these kinds of things.
Couldn't you just add salt and vinegar to the fries?
I too am mourning while searching for the reason why Steak and Shake would stop serving the only purpose I had for dining at their restaurant. Were those fries giving us cancer or what?

In the drive thru, ordered two Lg shakes, one mint Oreo, one strawberry cheesecake. Took the lady 3 times of repeating our order to tell us to pull around. After she took my card and gave it back I noticed she was on her personal cell phone, then handed us one shake. She then opens the window to say you didn't get your shake? It took them another 12 mins to come up with the second. The car behind us came to the window to get her order while we waited. She didn't even get her full order because they had no idea what was going on in there! More than likely because the lady taking orders was more interested in her personal call than her job! We all did not receive a receipt to be able to provide you with more details. But my goodness! It doesn't take 12 minutes to produce a shake! Also, if she is having a family emergency or something of that sort, she should of asked for a break not tried to juggle both! This location was a joke and I would be ashamed to pay my workers who aren't doing their jobs!

Placed my order half order biscuits and gravy mandy two breakfast burritos at 634am.
Paid and had to pull forward and waited ten minutes before I walked in.
To my surprise they had not even starting making it.
Took another ten minutes for him to make the food.
Very poor service should never take 20 pulse minutes to make food that should be prepared all ready.

My children, grandchildren, and I ordered through the drive through at your Horn Lake store. We ordered your brand new KitKat shakes. Were told they were unavailable. Visit went downhill from there. We pulled around to window to pick up our order. The 2 chocolate shakes were extremely gritty. They were undrinkable. The French fries were burned. One whole meal was missing from our order. We were asked if we had paid while we were waiting to receive the rest of our order. We had. When we received it everything was cold. This is the worst experience I have ever had at this or any other of your locations. May as well have thrown my $24.15 out the window, since we were not able to drink our shakes or eat our food.
drive through
I order thru the drive thru around 2am. I order a triple bacon burger, sliders and chicken fingers w/fries and a side of cheese. When I left I had a received a completely different order. Side of thousands with a single burger no bacon and a melt no sliders. Completely unacceptable I'm pretty sure I paid extra for my meals. The drive thru line was way to long to wait thru to corrrect the problem. I already waitee in line for an hour. It's 3 am went home and pissed by the whole situation. How do u give me the wrong order completely. Steak and Shake steelyard is the worst experience I had ever dealt with.
I'm sorry. I'm a stupid, pimple faced little boy who likes to make fun of everyone every chance I have because my mother and father liked having sex with me. It really screwed me up because I liked it. And now I can't get a job or a girlfriend. Or maybe a boyfriend? I don't know. I'm still confused about that. Now I feel like if I judge other people and make them feel bad, I can feel better about myself.

My friends and I always go to the frisco steak and shake location and I usually never write reviews but I felt like my past two experiences needs to be addressed. Laura was extremely rude. The first time we had her as a server, she had a # face on and said "what do you want?" when I told her my order I said I wanted a single cajun shooter with cheese and then she said "you want that with cheese" and I said "yes please".. She comes back and brought me a cheese single shooter so I said "I ordered cajun" and she argued and said "no you said cheese" angrily.. I just let it go because I thought she was having a really bad day since it seemed like she was working both drive thru and the floor. The second time we went there, she had the same exact attitude. She had a # face on the whole entire time, she even shussed is while taking our oder and got my order wrong again. The manager asked us if everything was alright so we told him that laura gave us the wrong order, the manager was nice enough to fix it for us. As our server, I felt that she should've apologized but she just came and said "here's your new receipt". I understand that being a server is exhausting but if you need your job and you earn money from it, you should be smiling. It's not hard to be nice. I would never want her to be our server again.

I ordered a sandwich with a salad in place of fries because as a diabetic, I have to watch my carbs. The server proceeded to serve me whatt I ordered plus fries. When I pointed out that I told her no fries she proceeded to say that she didn't charge me for it. In the restaurant business, you really must pay close attention to what you serve your customers because they could have a health problem such as being allergic or having diabetes. Potatoes turn straight to sugar. You must watch what you serve people. I came in May 18th around 7pm. Receipt shows I paid around 8pm.

The location in Festus, MO is always very slow; however, on this night out is particularly bad. We have been here for over an hour and a half, and we had been sitting here with empty drinks for over a half hour. We received our milkshakes after about a 45min wait - they are runny, not cold, and not even full, served in the disposable cups instead of the metal cups. We received our food and the fries are all old and cold. I understand they are short staffed and busy, but I feel the customers sitting down should be taken care of before allowing more to come in and take their orders when they already can not handle the crowd they already had.
world's worst experience
We arrived at steak n shake at 9:00 pm on a Thursday with 16 people. It took 20 before our drink order was taken. We were there for an hour before we got our food and then most of it was cold, wrong or burnt. My husband got up and got his own refill. The rest of the staff including the manager wouldn't even help our waitress carry out our food and then when the bills came half the bills printed.When they reprinted them they tried to give multiple bills to the same people.

I placed an order for a #4 on 5/17 - after 5 pm, and was told by a young guy "oh we're out of #4's". . Then with laughter after I said- excuse me. A young lady then asks what would I like on it. At that point I said never mind, I don't trust you enough not to play in my food since you're not being professional now. This is uncalled for in a business and the younger staff should be trained better. This is the 2 location that I've had an issue with immature staff.

I was at the steak and shake restaurant at 3810 west Washington st today 5-15 at around 4:00 pm. There was only myself and my party and one other table was full, nobody else was in the restaurant at this time. My party and I were seated then the server left and didn't return for 10 minutes to take our drink order, then it took almost 30 minutes to get our food because all I saw was people standing around talking instead of working. Before we received our food I went ahead and order milkshakes so they would already be added to my bill. After we ate it took 20 minutes to get our milkshakes because all the people who came in after us all got their stuff first while we were waiting at the front counter for our stuff. We kept being told they are working on your milkshake. I will not be returning to that restaurant. The service was horrible.

My wife got us some takeout and came home and we began to eat. I bit into my steakburger and a tooth shattered. We. Took the remains of the burger back to the store and explained what happened. Then we got a phone number for customer service. I called and talked to a Morene. She more or less said tough ###. I don't have dental insurance because I am over 65.So I went to the dentist he removed the remains of the broken tooth and put in a temporary tooth. Got a bill from the dentist $710.00 so far. Just wanted to thank you for the the crappie customer service.

Unfortunately every Steak 'n Shake I visit has extremely long wait times and terrible service with unprofessional employees arguing in front of customers. From Orlando to Jacksonville, the customer experience is appalling. On May 12, 2017, I pulled into #411 (Phillips hwy Jacksonville, Fl) and ordered 2 milkshakes. It took about 10 mins to get to the window, then we waited another 20 minutes. A female employee apologize, as she was just getting to work. Meanwhile, several employees are standing around and arguing. We were then directed to pull forward and wait longer. After waiting 10 minutes, we received the wrong milkshakes.

May 12, 2017 3:00pm, weather cool temperature. I have two complaints (1) the order and (2) the quality. I ordered a Kit Kat Milkshake to go one of the new drink product, after a reasonable amount of time I received my shake. After leaving the store, what I got was not the order I ordered. What I received was a chocolate chip Milkshake not so bad but what is not acceptable was the quality. I suspect the milkshake was someone else order whom may have changed their mind so instead of throwing it out it sat for the next person (me). Unfortunately I do not have a receipt because I do not bother with receipts on cash sales.

Not only did I wait for 20 mins, but when I got home the order was wrong. So I was pissed more. My burger was supposed to be fully dressed and it wasn't. The main reason I come is for the onions on the burger, I was very disappointed . The waiter even repeated the order when I said I wanted onions, she said yes like she got it. They need help, i wAs the 3rd car in line, how do u mess orders up, hate to be there on a rush hour day, everybody's order would be wrong.

The steak and shake in louisville, ky on Dixie highway is ridiculous. It's a fast food restaurant, u shouldn't be in line for 20 to 30 mins waiting on food and to place an order. It's ridiculous, especially if there's on 3 cars in the line and no ones inside the restaurant, but like 2 or 3 people. They need to get it together or hirre someone who knows what they r doing. It's been many of occasions like this.

When we came in we ordered our food and then the server came back shortly after and said the fryer was broke and we couldn't have our fries. And asked for something to accommodate that the fryer was broke. Then someone else at our table went up and talked to the manager about getting discounted prices and the manager laughed and said I'm not going to acomadate us just because we couldn't have our fries. When we finally got our drinks the water tasted like it came from a garden hose. The manger kept pointing at as and talking to our server. There is 8 of us and we are all mangers for worlds of fun and work in foods so I don't know why they couldn't accommodate anything for not having fries.

On Tuesday May 09, 2017 My Family and I went to eat dinner at The Steak N Shake in Duluth Georgia and the service was horrible. Once we were seated and our waiter finally decided to come take our drink order we already know what we were going to eat. So we order both at the same time. After sitting there our drinks didn't come so my husband ask if they forgot about us. So another waiter not the one that originally took our order but us our drinks. Then another party of three came in maybe 20 minutes after us they received their drinks and food before we got our food. It was slow for the restaurant. We got there about 6:15 here it is 7:00 still have received no food not even a I'm sorry that you guys order is taken so long. It's like we wasn't even there. So we got up and left. We let the manager know what was going on but it seems like she didn't care because they were all to busy laugh and talking amongst each other. This is not the 1st time but it was our last time going there. I'm really upset because my kids love this place and they were asking where their food was. This is by far one place with BAD customer service.
The customer service attitude went out the window long time ago. Nobody cares that you did not get your
food right away. Everyone is so self centered these days, and they could care less. Its called poor wages, no
training, poor parenting, and too much social media rotting everyone's brains. This is our future, so might as
well accept it or don't eat out. Personally, I think all fast food used to taste real good, but now the quality is all
gone. Gotta stay positive though, at least you got to spend more time with your family, and, tell the kids sorry,
but this is your future coming up.

I went to the steak n shake location in Carmel that's by Wal-Mart. I got both of my sandwiches smashed flat as well as cold nuggets. I believe I got my sandwiches back like thisx because I had the cashier, a young blond, to make three trips for condiments. But did i really have to get smashed sandwiches. 05/06 @2:30 is when I can by tghe restaurant.
