Straight Talk Wireless Refusal of Service

On Monday, February 21, 2022, My wife brought a Straighttalk SIM card kit for Wal-Mart in Natchez, MS. She was on the phone with Straighttalk trying to get the cellphone SIM activated for 5 hours. They refused to activate the SIM card and refused to refund her money. She could not take it back to Wal-Mart. Tech Support of Straighttalk kept on hanging up on her several times.

She calls back on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, and had the same outcome as Monday but they did send out a new SIM card.

On Wednesday, February 23, 2022, I chatted with Straighttalk tech support to try to get the SIM and the phone working. Both Techs that I talked to did not know how to do anything. They put me on the line with someone else. I called with at least 3 techs on the phone and none of them knew anything about cellphones or SIM calls. I guess when they couldn't fix my problem they hung up on me twice. They refused to fix my problem and refused to give me a refund. I have attached a copy of the chats.

Desired outcome: I would like a refund or my phone and SIM working.

Straight Talk Wireless Unable to transfer number without paying extra

After numerous problems with Straighttalk, I decided to transfer service to Verizon. But Straighttalk will not release the number. Says it transfer protected but that leads to a message that says my service is inactive an I need to buy a plan to transfer. But my plan is active. In fact, I can still use the phone. This should be investigated as consumer fraud and a class action suit filed against the company.

Desired outcome: Release my number.

Straight Talk Wireless iphone 11

I ordered this phone as a gift for my mother. After not receiving it or a shipment email after 2 weeks I called and was notified by an agent that it was cancelled. She told me that it would be refunded but I never received that refund. I have been calling them ever since that day.

Straight Talk Wireless Customer Service.

After being a Straight Talk customer for the last 15 years they required me to buy a new phone. But that is not the issue. When I logged into my account and ordered a phone it did not say what carrier the phone was good for. So I assumed it was unlocked. I even ordered a new sim card for AT&T. They also gave me a $150 discount. When I got the phone I realized that it was a Verizon only phone. I don't have Verizon service in my area. So I called Customer (serve less) service. After being on the phone for over three hours they told me to send the phone back for a refund (at my expense). They told me that I should have ordered new phone from one of their sales representative rather than picking one off of their web page. I asked if they were going to honor their $150 discount if I ordered another phone. They told me NO. "That is a one time upgrade offer". I told them that they sold me the wrong phone and that it wasn't my fault.

Desired outcome: Give me the $150 discount for a new phone

Straight Talk Wireless Service of Sim card

I have had Straight Talk for 10 years , I have had minor issues and annoyances over the years with their uneducated employees but this is the final one. In December I started to get text and emails saying my phone was going to stop working due to a network change , so I called and checked in to it and asked if I needed a new sim or something because my phone was 4g LTE and the straight talk rep said no I needed a new phone that was VOLTE compatible. I did some shopping around and some research and found a phone I liked with 5g and 4g VOLTE. so I buy it and put the sim from my other phone in it. I keep getting messages so I call and after 3 reps one finally says I need a new sim because the network sees my old phone IMEI , took three because no one understood and kept saying I didn't have the phone I said and wanted to send me some junk or sale me one. So I buy a new sim call straight talk , the lady was nice and transferred my phone number to the new sim after giving her my new phone IMEI and sim number , old sim gets disconnected and new one starts working. So all seemed fine , well no I get on my account to buy a plan and I see New sim not active and my old phone with my number and the same message and not able to buy a plan , so I call they tell me that I am not on the new sim and I am like yes I am talking to you on it , then they change and say the phone I have is not the IMEI on the sim , I tell them that that's not my mistake I gave the same number from the phone. I just gave them to the lady who changed it all so fix it or send me a new sim, Then they change to well your phone won't work with VoLte and I say I see the VoLte icon in the top right corner so I know it's working. They say no it's not , because with the IMEI number they see it can't , I say well if you see that know why not before and what kind of phone an I using if you see all it's spec's they say we can't see that just that it's no capable. So I am leaving and going to pure talk same price and hopefully more truthful service reps. Once again I am 100 percent sure this phone is VoLte and that straight reps are [censored]ic liars

Desired outcome: To let people know that Straight Talk reps will lie in a second to not be responsible for anything and they are not trained properly for their job and make frequent mistakes that have to be changed.

Straight Talk Wireless cell phone

Ordered a phone a month ago. No phone, can't get any help from Straight talk. I am being told, that they have my order, then I am transferred to another person, to go over the same info., told they have my order, then i am transferred to another for the same thing still no phone. I am being texted by straight talk that i have till 2/22/2022 to get a new phone

Straight Talk Wireless Straight Talk service; lost my phone number, shut off my service, and sent me used phone with wrong IMEI and sim numbers.

Tuesday, Feb. 8, we received our "free phone" from straight talk. There is a red card that comes in the box with the IMEI and sim card numbers. We followed the directions to connect our phone. All seemed fine until we realized that my husband couldn't receive calls, only make them. I tried calling him from my phone and a woman answered. She was having the same problem and was on her way to Walmart to get hers fixed. She had my husbands number. I checked his phone for the IMEI number and sim and it was not the same number on the red card from the box. We immediately began trying to straighten this out but nothing worked and now I have spent 4 days talking to ST workers that I couldn't hear and barely understand. I followed the same directions over and over to finally be cut off when they put me on hold for a person with higher tech skills. On day 2 the phone stopped completely and would no longer call anyone. When I began trying to fix this new problem I went through the same old thing except now when I tried to just cancel the phone service to start all over, I wasn't able to answer any of the security questions, pin number, mother's maiden name, email address. I told them those had to correct but somehow I now became a "security threat" and was refused help. I went through this same routine over a dozen times in the next 2 days. Now, today is Saturday, this all started on Tuesday, I still have only one working phone, and I have been talked to like a criminal several times. Oh and get this. I will be charged for my non existence in a few days for my missing phone service. Apparently the only piece of info left on my account is my credit card information.

Desired outcome: I want my old phone number back and I want my service turned back on.

Straight Talk Wireless Transfer of number from Straight Talk phone to new phone with different carrier.

I have been trying to have my cell phone number on my Straight Talk phone transferred to my new phone/new carrier since Jan 21, 2022 (three weeks!) Communicating with Straight Talk has done nothing to help. I have been put on hold for long periods of time, cut off more times than I can count at this point, yelled at by a Straight Talk rep, when being transferred to "supervisors' I am cut off (4 times just yesterday), etc... Not only have you not transffered our phone number, we've had for 20+ years, you keep shutting off my Straight Talk cell phone service every other day even though the service is paid for in advance. This is my husbands business number! due to my husbands medical issues this phone is also his lifeline in case of an emergency!

Desired outcome: Transfer my Straight Talk cell phone number to my new phone with Lively. This should not be so difficult!

Straight Talk Wireless I want to be refunded my money or I want my phone shipped to me with a correct tracking number

Purchased an iPhone 11 on 2/3/22 and paid for next day shipping.

Received order confirmation on 2/3/22

Received email that my order has shipped on 2/5/22 with tracking number

Tracking number says it is not valid through UPS.

Contacted straight talk customer service on 2/5/22 and was told I would have my order by 2/7/22.

Did not receive order on 2/7/22 and tracking number is still not working.

Contacted UPS again and they state this is an issue with Straight Talk.

Spent over 2 hours on the phone and live chat with Straight Talk just to get told that they are unsure what is going on and they can’t refund my money until the phone is received.

I have no way of tracking this order and the tracking number provided was invalid and fraudulent.

Straight Talk Wireless phone service🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

I hv been w straighttalk for several years now but recently I was refilling my phone online & was asked if I wanted autorefill to wich I answered No! But they added it anyway 😡 I called & again asked to be taken off of it. I was told they had. They HAD NOT‼️ I was out of the country for work Oct/ Nov 21 & did NOT USE THE PHONE SERVICE as it is not usable out of the country. So I was lied to & stolen from yet after speaking to 3 ppl at straighttalk including 2 managers‼️‼️‼️ no refund‼️

I'm NOT asking for a YEAR of refund but 2 specific mos...& 'you' straighttalk said you had taken ne off of AR...

Desired outcome: I am only asking for my RIGHTFUL refund

I purchased phone service for my plan and my service has not worked properly for almost 6 months. I have called multiple times to be hung up on and on hold for hours. The employee I talked to said he would not refund me because in his opinion he said I was lying. Worst customer service ever, I not only still have not had my issue resolved but also have not got a refund or any correspondence from anyone at straight talk not even upper management. They are breaking several federal laws and let over seas companies have my personal information that was used to steal my identity and the company still will not do anything to protect my identity or fix their mistake.

Desired outcome: I want a years worth of free service, because of all the time and money I have wasted is worth more than that. I also want that employee fired who discriminated against me.

Straight Talk Wireless Forced to replace a perfectly good $800 phone with $150 phone and wont connect my service

Straight talk is doing forced upgrades for their service. Sent me a $150 phone in replacement for an $800 dollar working perfect phone. Been 3+ days so far and countless hrs on the phone trying to get connected to the new phone with no cure in sight. They all have you do the same maneuvers over and over no matter how many times you tell them you have done it and it doesnt work. The phone dont work, the service is just repetitive "do this and itll work" with no solution in sight. Called for help to transfer my number to the new phone and couldnt understand the accent of the person on the other end, asked for someone I could understand and they transfered me to 6 different countries, none of which spoke english.

Straight Talk Wireless Straight talk support cost me identity threat and double charged me

Since June I have called them spent well over 200 hours on phone. Only to be treated very very rudely when they couldn’t fix my phone. Not only that I payed for a service they didn’t render Was told needed to get SIM card four times They cost me to be hacked and then they hang up etc they double dipped me which wasn’t found out till the unauthorized charges were made in apps then I see Verizon wireless and straight talk cards bought Don’t even get me started on their leasing portion. A day late on last payment and they cut service 230 in morning I had to walk 20 miles as broke down on road and phone was out And oh yeah took the government ebb money for service they did not fulfill or even try to fix and oh had my accounts locked with apple and google cause of This lost my photos of my dad who just died

Straight Talk Wireless Unlock my phone

I purchased a galaxy ae10 from Walmart. I had heard straight talk was a good carrier. So I bought a calling card. BOY WAS I WRONG. I HAD NO CONTRACT WITH NO ONE. IT WAS A PAY AS I GO... WELL I AM ON FOOD STAMPS SO I WAS APPROVED FROM THE GOVERMENT . FOR FREE SERVICE. THIS DAMN COMPANY CALLED STALK HAS MY PHONE LOCKED. I AM CONTACTING THE FCC, ANYONE ELSE I CAN BECAUSE. THIS DAMN STRAIGHT TALK HAS MY PHONE LOCK. [censored]. I HAVE CONTACTED FCC. Companies like this need to be sued, fined. My attorney will be in touch.

Straight Talk Wireless Poor service, data locking up on internet

I have had this problem for over a month and the problem is still not fixed! When I browse the interent it locks up and I have to hit the airplane mode for a few secs and then turn airplane mode off and then I can again use internet. I have called many, many times and talked to a supervisor who hung up on me and still not fixed! I have been a long time straighttalk customer and I am thinking about changing service. VERY VERY POOR!

Desired outcome: FIX MY INTERNET BROWSING SO I DONT HAVE TO KEEP HITTING AIRPLANE NAME

Straight Talk Wireless my phone number [protected]

You at strait talk ported my phone number to metro pcs without my permission .! I now have no phone, I paid my service fees and you have lied to me multiple times that you would and have retrieved my phone number and that I ould get it back in 24 hours . Never happened . I have also had to buy a new phone from another carrier . You won't refund my money for the service I am not getting and I am filing a lawsuit against you . I want my phone number back ASAP or My full refund .

Straight Talk Wireless Service Pin

I purchased a service refill card. I still have the card and the receipt. I came home and scratched it and the numbers became unreadable. It took the numbers slam off as I scratched. Anyway I can get the pin or somehow still refill my service without spending more money again. Thanks in advance for any help.

Straight Talk Wireless My number of over 20 years was ported out to metro without my authorization.

Unauthorized porting of my number of over 20 years to metro in Dec. 2021. I have called every 24 to 72 hours as they have instructed me. I get the same repeated script. Escalation team, off line, waiting on a response, let me check for updates, yes I can transfer you to a supervisor (disconnects me every single time), let me put you on hold to check for updates, can you call back in 24 hours, can you call back in 72 hours, no response received from the escalation team. I have been without a working phone since Dec. 16, 2021. They gave me a ticket number and reference number. However, I have to explain the entire situation to each person I talk to every time I call. Their response, I am sorry they are offline, no the escalation team has no update, call us in 24 hours.
I have to wait until I get to work to call them since my phone doesn't work! I then spend each of my breaks on hold with them only for them to tell me no updates. But the autopay kept coming out of my account.
No one will give me any contact information for someone else higher up rather than customer service.

Desired outcome: I want my phone number back and compensated for the data I did not use the time I was without my phone number.

This exact thing is happening to me right now. My phone number I’ve had since you could chose which number you wanted. Was given to metro with out my authorization and now it’s been three weeks of calling everyday to get the same story. How can someone take my number online and switch it to metro in a matter of minutes but no one is able to get it back for me…!

Straight Talk Wireless Customer service - they let my phone number fraudulently port to another company

Absolutely the WORST customer service I have ever received with ANY COMPANY! On Sunday, 1/9/2022- I received a text message from Straight talk telling me that my number was ported to a new carrier. If I did not authorize this, please call them immediately, which I did! They let the number be ported over the MetroPCS and it's been a nightmare ever since! I have spent called daily twice a day to only hear things like "don't worry- we will have your number back in 24-48 hrs", or "we are working on it", or on Thursday- they lied to me and said they received the number back and I would be up and running within 24 hours... so when I called on Friday- they said- Nope, haven't heard from MetroPCS yet. ALL THEY DO IS LIE! and the worst part is that my cell phone number is written all over my advertising so now I need to spend over $700 to get new advertising material for my company. Absolutely- worst company ever! DO NOT GET SERVICE FROM STRAIGHT TALK!

Desired outcome: Refund my $$ and get my number back

Same thing happened to me but I didn’t receive a text about the unauthorized port. My phone just stopped receiving calls and texts. That was the only cell phone number I have ever had in my life way over 25 years. Horrible customer service and escalation team!
I have been without my phone number since Dec. 16, 2021.
