Reservation #R585096127 Super 8 Waterloo, Illinois
Reserved room from Feb 21- March 10. Arrived on the 21st as scheduled. I am a contractor, and can only work if the weather conditions allow. Unfortunately, I was unable to work and had to leave early. Checked out Feb 26th. When I asked for a receipt, I was told that since I booked through a third party, that they (the third party) were responsible for providing me with receipts.
I returned home to find that the 12 days I didn't stay had still been charged to my credit card. I asked my third party to investigate and received word that due to a "unique" cancellation policy at that hotel I would not be refunded any of my unused stay.
This hotel's cancellation policy is NOWHERE on their website, and only after the booking is made so you realize that you will not be refunded any of your stay if you change or cancel your reservation.
I am shocked and disappointed that your corporation would allow one of its franchises to have a cancellation policy so far from the normal cancellation policies of other hotel chains, even other super 8 hotels! Unscrupulous and dishonest!

We stayed at the Super 8 in Sidney BC as we were catching a flight early the next morning. The man working was nice but the hotel itself was a disgrace. The hallways were filthy carpet coming up in areas then we opened our room door to find the carpets absolutely disgusting I don't think have been vacuumed in over a month the bathtub had soap [censor] rings so bad that none of us used the shower the edges around the bathroom floor had hair all around. In all my years of staying in all sorts of different motels, hotels whichever I've never seen anything so gross. I thought being a super 8 there would at least be some certain standards to cleanliness and obviously I was completely wrong. Paying the price of $82.00 I know not to expect a 5 star stay but I also don't expect to be in anything so filthy.

Been staying currently at super 8 located on 102 hobbs road, league city, texas, 77573.
Arrived 3days ago and planing to stay another 5 days for business.
Rooms are dirty and smelly, sheets have holes in them, hallway smell very bad, both on the floor level and the upper one.
Looks like the motel is ran by an Indian family who live in 4 rooms on the second floor.
Front desk service personal is rude,
example: while I was heading into the lobby from the street, both me and the front desk worker were heading in together, he went in first and wasn't in treated to hold the door while I was carrying bags on either hand.
Coffee pot during brakfast is always empty etc.
Unfortunately my employer already booked it and was unable to cancel in time, front desk wasn't helpful with that either.
So far the worst hotel I have ever been.
Hoping this complaint change anything.

When I checked in I was given my room
Key. Upon arriving at the room the housekeeper was still cleaning the room. I went to the desk and the gentleman advised me. Sorry that's the only room I have you just have to wait. So we waited Upon enwtwring the room we found the carpets disgusting. Cigarette burns on the seats. Mold in the bathroom and stains on the sheets and pillowcases. As we were in town for a funeral. We had to get ready to attend the memorial and there were no rooms at nearby hotels. When we returned the smell of marijuana was overwhelming in the rooms surrounding us. We called the front desk but no answer. At this point we were so emotionally drained from the service and our long trip we just decided to go to bed. We did not sleep at all as surrounding guests kept omg doors and standing outside talking and arguing. Honestly I was afraid to go out of the room to the front desk. I called the desk. No answer. I have traveled frequently and when booking the description claimed it was newly remodeled. This was not in fact the truth. I am very upset and disappointed in the quality of the hotel and the service I received and also the lack there of.

I went to the front desk to complain about the internet service at this hotel. First thing the manager says to me before I can even speak is today is not the day for a complaint. So in my not not so pleasant words I told her the Internet was f'n crap here and to get Charter Communications on the phone while I'm here and I can get it fixed. She tells me nothing is wrong with it. I then politely explained that it went out for nine hours yesterday and that it had done it every Sunday since I've been here. Going on almost two months now. Not to mention it will kick you off several times during the day because it loses its IP address.. Told her I worked for Charter installing hotel internet in the past and know what I'm talking about but never claimed to be an expert know it all. Herself and the front desk lady both tried to tell me it was because of all the devices in the hotel being used at the same time. Tried to explain whoever told them that is the lazy mans excuse for not doing their job and the problem lies in a malfunction at the pole. She then tells me " I don't know what I'm talking about because her IT guy told her this and he's smarter than me & if I knew what I was talking about I wouldn't be working for the company I work for". I told her that was very degrading and wrong of her to say that and she just shrugged her shoulders and said "so". Very not happy with this and will be making a complaint against this chain and manager.
false advertisement and a ruined getaway
Super 8 on Pickel St in Pigeon Forge TN advertises PET FRIENDLY for 2 pets. I reserved a room for 2 nights, paid for the total amount upfront, drove over 3 hours with our 2 dogs to get to Super 8 and be told our dogs wasn't allowed. YET I purposely asked if our dogs were allowed and I was reassured they were. This Put us in a horrible spot! Our dogs are house trained and well mannered. Due to the FALSE ADVERTISEMENT and us paying upfront and us driving over 3 hours, we should have been allowed to stay with our dogs! I would have helped cleaned the room if that was the big problem! Disrespectful and completely unprofessional! I still have yet to get my refund and we are on a get away. Thanks to the irresponsibly of Super 8 and their false advertisement, our get away was RUINED and there is not another place in Pigeon Forge that will allow our 2 dogs. No compassion or anything with this bunch. Manager wont call back. Thanks for leaving us without a place to lay our heads and ruining our time.

We had talked with a member of the staff 3 times prior to arrival (will give names if contacted) that we would not be arriving until midnight. We are traveling with a team and had 6 rooms reserved and 18 people needing a bed. We arrive at 11:45 PM and go in to check in. Desk clerk is telling me about upcharging on rooms because of the lack of availability in town due to large events and then proceeds to tell me, yep - you guessed it, they overbooked, our rooms were cancelled (with NO communication) and we have only 5 of our rooms. We receive keys and proceed to rooms. Players enter first room fine, second and third room however, rooms are occupied - people sleeping in the beds. Fourth and fifth rooms are fine. Go back to desk and clerk then states that there's only one room left (we now only have 4 rooms) but he thinks they can kick people out of their rooms (time is now nearing 12:30 AM). Needless to say we ended up with 4 rooms - no roll away beds and 17 people to those rooms. No where in town has rooms so we are forced to figure it out at the Super 8. The desk clerk then offers us the couch in the lobby for our to sleep on to help - the lobby? A loveseat style couch? All because the hotel saw an opportunity to make a quick buck on the price gouge of our rooms because of the need? Ethical isn't the first thing that comes to mind. Oh and they weren't going to credit back the cost of the 5th room I had already been charged for!
Needless to say, the bragging about price gouging, the lack of communication on the hotels part (no one called to check if we were coming nor did they call to let us know we were out so they could upsell the rooms), the finger pointing by staff onto other staff members and the utter lack of customer service was so disappointing.

I have been staying here for 4 nights so far and staying for 3 more nights here because I paid for a week and they say they don't give refunds or credits so I have to stay my time here, but my complaint is I have been watching my sheets on my bed which have not been changed not one time since I been in this room now remember I said I been here 4 nights I really think this is poor service. I'm glad I'm a clean person but just think if they haven't changed them for me I wonder when was the last time they were changed. Spoke to the desk clerk this morning and he said he will speak to house keeping. I don't think Wyndham Hotel Group would agree with such service. This is Conroe Texas downtown area.

I'd like to share with you my family's experience at the Super 8, in Wausau this weekend. Upon arriving on Friday, March 2nd, at 4:30ish the computers were down. My information was taken and we were able to get into our room. A short while later I was asked to return to the front desk to sign the bill. At that time I noticed that I was only charged for one night even though the statement indicated we were staying for two nights. We cleared that up and I provided my credit card again so that both nights were reflected on the statement. I didn't want the gentleman on duty to get in trouble for not charging me correctly.
All was well until we decided to turn in for the night and I noticed that one of the beds had blood all over the sheets. It was fresh dried blood, not a sheet that been attempted to be washed and was just stained. My husband we back to the front desk to let the attendant know. The same gentleman that checked us in came to our room with a clean sheet. He was only going to replace the one sheet, even though I had to point out to him that the quilt also had blood on it. I felt he should have offered us a new room, so that it could be cleaned properly and if that wasn't an option he could have at least changed ALL of the bedding! He was not apologetic and acted like it was no big deal. He did take pictures of the bedding with his phone, so I am hoping that he is going to share these with you. I also felt he should have given us at the very least one free night for our inconvenience and disgust of having to deal with this.
I'm hoping that putting the information into your hands, this can be rectified. I shouldn't have had to take the time to contact you as well, but since the staff didn't seem to have the ability to take care of it, I'm writing you. Not ample room to get out of bed on wall side. My Wt. is approx. 112 lbs.

Arrival Feb 25 for two nights
My name is Richelle Johnson. I called and spoke the lady at the Front Desk on February 25 at 6:33 PM to make a reservation for my friend, Tina Delaune. The lady at the Front Desk took my credit card Number over the phone and assured me the reservation was made for only 2 nights. When the charge hit my credit card, it was charged for 3 night.
I called on March 5 at 10:30 AM and spoke to a gentleman who would not give me his name, however said he was the owner of the location. He said Tina went the front desk on Monday, February 26 and added the 3rd night. I explained to him my initial conversation when the reservation was first made and he said the notes were not entered into the system and they do not ask to verify the credit card when nights are added. I asked is I could get the 3rd night refunded since it was an unauthorized charge. He said no I would need to contact Tina. So then I stated that I really need the 3rd night refunded for I would need to file a claim with my credit card company for the 3rd night. He told that I was not being fair and that he knows how credit card companies work and why should his hotel be out the money. I then told him I had no other option. He then said you did ask me if I would be willing to give you half back for that night, you didn't give me that option. I told him I wasn't aware that was an option, he did not offer that to me. He was very combative with me so I said I was not going to argue with him, I would just contact the Super 8 Headquarter office if needed. He said yes do that and hung up on me.
Please let me know what can be done about this. I really hope this can be resolved without me having to open a claim with my credit card company.

I booked into your establishment in Cambridge Ontario on February 24th . I paid up front for 4 nights day . I ended up being called away from the hotel for two nights, Sunday night the 25th and Monday night the 26th, I left to do Not Disturb sign hanging on the door as I didn't have any reason to change towels or bedding as I had only used the room for one night .when I returned to the room on Tuesday evening the 27th of February .My key worked and allowed me access of the building and into the room itself. The room is been cleaned and none of my belongings we're in the room .I am mediately made my way to the front desk where I was informed that my stuff it been packaged up and was in the office in a garbage bag . As I started to look through the bag garbage bag to make sure all my belongings were there the hotel manager or woman running the front desk told me to leave the property immediately . I responded that I was just double checking to make sure all my stuff had made it into the garbage bag . She became my rate and told me I must leave now and produced a baseball bat from beside her at the counter . I suffer from anxiety and depression and a bid prescribed medical marijuana to come back thesis symptoms . the prescription obviously will was not there, which was an inconvenience but not a serious issue, as far as I was concerned .she must have realized at that time that I had noticed it was gone . And what had been a relatively, conversation up to that point turns 180 that she screamed at me at the top of her lungs that they had thrown my f'ing drugs away, in front of several people that were ready to check into the hotel she screamed at me and said I am nothing but in f ing loser druggy and get out of her hotel before she bashas my head with a baseball bat .I was embarrassed mortified and felt bullied and belittled . It wasn't mentioned but I'm guessing that is the reason I was removed early from my reservation was the prescription .I never did have a chance to confirm that was the reason .I wish that was the end of my story unfortunately it is not, upon review of my credit card I was charged $200 for smoking in the room when I do not smoke cigarettes and do not use the smoking method normally for my prescription I also noticed that my Fossil watch a pair of jeans two shirts to PlayStation games and a controller were missing . It is my personal belief that the reason I was stolen from and treated this way was because of my prescription . They wrote me off as a druggy as she says and not an equal person . I don't necessary think it's important but I do hold down $100, 000 plus job a year and raising a family pay bills and a mortgage . I have not stopped thinking about this since and I'm still angry embarrassed and humiliated .I've never even been close to treated this way before and don't wish it on anybody . Now I guess my next course of action which I've been contemplating over the last couple of days is involving the police obviously nothing will come of it besides the receipt for the watch which is still around I can't really prove much of anything else except for the fact that I was removed early from motel for no specified reason .not sure if you'll do anything with this on your end but that entire establishment needs your attention in a very serious way ! My husband and I drove 7 1/2 hrs. to Findlay Ohio for super regionals for ncaa wrestling. We booked Super 8 in Findlay, a queen room nonsmoking. We arrived at 11:30pm exhausted checked in. When we opened our door we were hit with a wall of overwhelming smoke smell. The room clearly marked nonsmoking. The ceiling had numerous patches and in one spot a huge area with no patch or ceiling covering at all. The floor was not swept at all. There were burn marks on Table. The shower drain was broke and not cleaned. The doors had dirt all over. It was horrendous. We travel alot for our childrens sports, we payed less for a room and have had tremendously better rooms. I went to the car in the morning to grab something while my husband was in the shower and was locked out due to key not working. We were in the last room in the complex so to go to front desk wouldve taken just as much time as it did waiting for my husband to get done with shower and let me in. I truely believe we should be refunded it was awful.

I have been coming to the greenfield super 8 for three years now for just mini getaway they have a pool . My kids who are 12 & 5 and I. So on February 16th I used 3, 000 of my 10, 000 Wyndham Points to do a Go fast . Upon arrival and checking in a new girl named Brooke was working the desk and she had my room pre assigned for a downstair room because i have children I work in hotel so I knew that I stated i stay here all the time I need upstairs room she say ok but if i get any complaints im kicking you out i was like whoa but ok you wont. this was around 6 pm when checked in after kids and i swam couple hour we proceeded to our room to get in PJ cause my children and i go to bed before 10pm. I said Ill take my 5yr old and leave my daughter whos 12 and her friend in room run to walmart get them healthy snacks so as i came out room I was approached by Brooke she said mam you cant leave your kids in the room I said my daughter is 12 Im just running to walmart. Then she said if i did id be kicked out and i went back to room got money for vending and came back out she said mam i told you you cant leave them in the room I said im not and she was on the phone with manager I get back up to the room she calls my room and says she would like us to leave the hotel or she is calling the copsI was like what i did what you said she hung up on me Cops came my kids were scared i was crying the cop didnt make us keave but said if the front desk lady say you did anything else i come back you will go to jail I was in total shock I work for a hotel of wyndhams of 10 yrs . the next morning when we went to bfast all the girl we knew were there and extremely nice and i told them what happend they said email kelly i did and kelly said im banned and employees suggested i call corporate and they will tell you ive never caused any problems at the hotel or any hotel for that matter it was traumatizing for my kids and it was totally uncalled for
overnight stay at super 8, bismarck north dakota
The room my family stayed in was unacceptable (2/16/18). The first bad sign was the lamp didn't work. But it only got worse. My husband went into the bathroom to take a shower after a long day of travel. The t.p roll was used. The tissue box was almost empty (obviously used...gross, considering mostly sick people use this). The towels were an off color but he went ahead and got in the shower. In the shower, the stopper didn't work properly, the bottom was slimy, then it filled with disgusting junk because it wouldn't drain properly. After the dirty water was up to his ankles he decided he better be done. Then he shut the shower off and grabbed a towel which as he unfolded it had a brown streak down the center. Well, I won't say what that probably was. The bathroom ceiling was falling in, obviously the fan doesn't work. Ugh….. I just hope they don't find bed bugs or even more frightening to think what their breakfast might be like.
A refund for us and a remodel are the only acceptable answers to this stay.

We stayed at a super 8 at 1508 w russel street in Sioux Falls SD on the night of January 27. When we arrived our room stunk badly like human pee. After looking around a bit it seemed like someone peed in the heater and also wiped poop on the curtains. The bathroom also had poop on the wall. Boogers on the wall, dog food on the floor. Stains on bed. We only had to stay one night and we suffered it out. Not sure why we paid for this hotel room it was disgusting. There was an event in town and this was one of the last places available or we would have left. I have some photos to show what we delt with, I wish you could smell the stink from that room.. #301..
my stay at super 8 in richfield ohio
I booked my stay at the super 8 hotel based on an ad that I saw on Craigslist offering 1 full week for $180. I called the hotel to make sure that the ad was accurate. The gentleman at the front desk assured me that it were accurate and that the free 24hr WiFi came with the price. Upon check in the man refused to honor the ad that I brought with me and charged me $242 for my week stay. As it was late and I had already planned my stay here and I am not from around here I reluctantly paid the overage. Upon coming into my room I found many dirty areas including at the head of the bed where I am to sleep for 7 days. When I called to ask for another clean room I was told there were no rooms available at the "discounted" rate I received and I would have to stay here. No offer to have the room cleaned or anything. I soon discovered that the Wi-Fi was not in working order. I work over the internet this effects my job. I called the front desk and was told it was down and would be serviced the following day. It is going on the third day with still no internet and when I call the front desk I am only told that they will report to manager. Consistently no internet. The "breakfast" offered has not been restocked one day that I've been here. There are children screaming and running through the halls at all hours of the night. They have also told me that I am only allowed ONE coffee pack per day no more! Again I am not from around here and there are no stores near by for me to buy any coffee. I rely on the caffine to help me through the day with work. I chose this hotel for the Wi-Fi and discounted rate as well as the Super 8 reputation. Thus far in my stay I have not gotten ANY of the things that I expected in my over paid stay. The hotel has no intentions in making this right. I do hope that I have better luck with you guys. misinformed about working condition of pool and hot tub
Drove 25 mile to get to the motel after being told that everything was in working order then I get there and realize that the we're Reese constructing the pool in the hot tub and the guy said he'd give me $5 discount to go ahead and rent the 2 bedroom since we were already there I did then in the midst found out that the health department had closed the pool down not reconstruction Health Department problems we were already there so following morning the late check-out I was going to stay another day and my s o n and a bit on the chair and I had had my bag the floor the manager insisted propping the door open with it cuz he said he would refund the money for the one day but not the two even though my arm was eat up so we left and now I have the expense of the cleanup not only the clothes that was in the room my bag the car at the house and I meet up and they went ahead and run the money through today when it was supposed to be put back on my account yesterday I called him and he said that it takes time and it shouldn't have been charged today I'm very upset it's going to cost me 50 to $80 to clean up the mess let alone the labor and the disgust need to shut it all down Campbellsville Kentucky Super 8 motel and he wouldn't even look at my number so I could get my Wyndham reward points try to tell me I didn't have it in there right
Credit Card thief
I stayed at a Super 8 on Monday evening, January 7th. By Wednesday morning I received a notice in my email that someone tried to use my credit card for over $400 at Walmart.com but was declined. Good thing I used a very low credit limit card for my trip. The Super 8 was the only place I used my credit card on this trip so I know the clerk probably took my card information along with the three digit number on the back of the card to make her purchase.
I tried calling them but no one would answer.
