super 8 maple hill dr, kalamazoo
Checkin and breakfast on our first morning were the highlights of our 4 night stay. That first morning, we informed the front desk staff that our fridge (rm 321) was not working. They said someone would take a look at it. Arrived back at our room over 8 hrs later and no one had even made our bed, much less checked the fridge. We informed the front desk of these issues daily and no one did a thing. We spoke to at least 4 different individuals on these matters. Not even sure if room had been cleaned before we checked in as a dirty towel was hanging behind the bathroom door. Also, a stairwell window was left open for people to stand at and smoke and several individuals in other rooms had at minimum verbal altercations while we were there. I didn't bother calling the front desk as they had done nothing else to that point. I would recommend you part ways with this property as they are bringing down an otherwise valuable hotel chain.
super 8 hotel cancel our reservation the morning of our arrival
We booked a room (with a king bed) in Super 8 in Wilmington the 6 of September with credit card (with Booking website) 3 nights (09/29 to 10/02) for 71 dollars per night but Super 8 hotel cancelled the reservation the morning we've arrived in Wilmigton. For the cancellation, they said by email we had a problem with the credit card. When we arrived, in front desk, Sherry, the woman in the front desk, sent to Booking website an information that said the cancellation was for our request... We used this credit card since one month and there was no problem with. Sherry wanted we take a room (with queen bed) for 126, 23 dollars per night! Everything was full in the city... She did it because of hurricane Florence she wants selling rooms of maximum prices! Because all the hotels were full! We said we were right to accept a queen bed for 71 dollars per night but she didn't want to give one for the price we reserved and the worst she had rooms! A bad moment for us.
We were obliged to go and to find an other hotel more expensive.
You had to know that we had a second reservation in this hotel with a kind bed for 3 nights (10/03 to 10/06) with the same credit card and there was no problem for reservation and for the payment with this credit card when we arrived to the hotel!
eviction from a paid room without cause
The motel maintenance man street up after business hours Ann's told yes w head too go. He gave np reason and stayed that we would nor be receiving s refund for the days r had prepaid.. police were called. Motel maintenance man would not tell is who ordered that we be thrown out or allow us top spiral work the responsible party. They should lose their franchise food this. Am attorney had already been contacted.
unfit hotel
I had to evacuate from hurricane michael. Made a reservation here at fort walton beach super 8. I am alone & very scared to stay here. Literally walked over a homeless lady to get in my door, & only a few very shady men in the parking lot. The room is filthy, i'm tankful I have my own pillow, but will not get near the blankets/sheets etc. It is supposed to be non smoking & reeks. I'd clearly be better off in my damaged home with no water or electricity. I booked 2 nights, but will be leaving at daylight, I pray I still have a vehicle when I leave. I paid $64 a night + tax. I'd appreciate a full refund, I thought being supported by wyndham it would at least be clean.
hotel room 143 at super 8 in tucson, az on craycroft
I have never before been so disappointed and disgusted with a hotel stay before. Sadly, Super 8 has always been one of my go-to establishments, but never again. I paid $80 for the night and I stayed in room 143.
There weren't even fitted sheets on our beds. They simply put a flat sheet on the bed and a comforter. The shower did not work and the plug for the bath tub did not work. I literally had to take a bird bath with a wet towel before my brother's wedding on Sunday, October 7th. The door to our bathroom didn't even have a knob on the door. The key card entry would not read our key cards for several different attempts at swiping.
I plan on disputing my charge with my credit card company for my stay here. I gave you one day of my life when I paid for that hotel stay and in return I slept on a USED, dirty mattress and couldn't even shower afterwards. It is completely unhygienic and unsanitary. I intend on writing as many reviews as I possibly can across different websites to ensure this doesn't happen to anybody else.
super 8 by wyndham midland
This hotel is in horrible condition, we drove 8 hours and Our first room
we got was absolutely disgusting. Stains all over the bed, then they
gave us a new room which had blood stains on the sheets and trash on the floor. The front desk
said it was hair dye which I know what hair dye looks like I am a female
who colors my hair and that was definitely not it. We asked for our
refund and they denied our refund then we came back in the morning
asking for the manager and he wasn't there. We told the front desk our
issues and he started to cuss me out telling me he doesn't get paid
enough for this and did not care about our issues. The manager finally came to the hotel and he continued to yell at my boyfriend stating he didn't care and he will never see that money again. I am beyond appalled of this type of behavior from the staff and management.
room condition
This hotel, room 237, has black mold growing in it, warped floors and faulty electrical outlets, causing a fire hazard. The lobby also has a warped floor. This building needs to be inspected. I stayed there for 2 days and began with a weird cough. It would only go away once I was outside. I went to see the doctor and she said asked if there was mold in my home, I said no, but at the hotel I'm staying
boone nc
Where do I start I paid 200 thinking I was paying for a decent hotel well first all outlets didnt work the cable went out the internet didn't work then I go for a shower and the water kept changing cold then so hot it burnt me and the last was I tried using hairdryer didn't work and then I discovered the gfi was out that's a fire hazard and against the law I want a refund the only good thing about the hotel was the front desk people was really nice I was in room 424 april piper [protected]
overall experience and room quality
Booked my hotel stay online for the fact of price with pool. Found out the pool was closed. Checked into room and bathroom faucet was broke and couldn't be fixed by maintenance. Was move to another room where there was hair still in the bathtub, bottom of toilet was nasty, couch was dirty, sink was missing drain stop, wash cloth had brown in it, along with the towels, first shower nozzle was clogged, second shower had no pressure. I know this place is way below Super 8 standards.
bitten by bed bugs
We stayed at the super 8 in Sheboygan Wisconsin this past Thursday to Friday. We arrived late at night and were a bit disappointed in the condition of the rooms to begin with. On the website it shows nice newer rooms. This wasn't the case. I used the restroom which the toilet wouldn't flush. We went back to the desk and they switched out our room to the one next door. We went to sleep and both me and my daughter were itchy throughout the night but didn't really think of bed bugs at that point. We woke up early, took showers (the shower wouldn't drain so you had to stand in water the whole time) and left. As we drove to the college we were visiting my ankle was itching like crazy and my daughter was itchy on her side..we finished the college tour and went home and once we got home I told her to lift her shirt and she had red bite marks on her side just like the ones I had in my ankle, arm and butt. My husband also had them on his leg. I called the hotel at that point to make sure they checked the room and they said they would. She also advised me to wash all of our clothes in hot water and dry them on high heat. I'm not one to complain.. but just wanted to let you know that the hotel is in need of help! The people are very friendly but the condition compared to the photos online of the hotel are falsely posted. I would not have paid 39.99 to stay there compared to the 100.00 I had paid! Sorry for the complaint but just wanted you to know. Thank you!
2108 w meadowview rd, greensboro, nc 27403
I'm currently staying at Super 8 hotel on 2108 W Meadowview Rd, Greensboro, NC 27403. I have been staying there for 5 months total. I'm here on business doing a contract job. Me and my company chose this hotel to stay in until I was done with the job. Since new management came in on the 3 month I was here. My room hasn't been cleaned by standards. Its 8 days. My room has been cleaned once. This happens periodically. I have to the owner. Nothing has changed. With all the money in spending with you company super 8. You would think I would get better customer service and clean room. Bathroom and shower hasn't been cleaned properly in a month.
theft from hotel room
My boyfriend has been sent to Hinton to work and is staying at the Super 8 Hotel. Today after his first day on the job came back to his room to find that a carton of cigarettes and all the money he has $115 have been stolen from his hotel room. Leaving him in a town with absolutely no money to feed himself. Contact was made with the front desk staff by both him and then myself via phone to be told that doesn't happen here and you're mistaken. This is a family company and we don't steal. Well where did this stuff go! Zero customer service or compassion at all. Worst hotel experience ever and now he has to stay there for 7 more days with absolutely nothing until he gets a pay check.
Probably one of the innkeepers was cleaning the room and accidentally threw the cigs away by mistake. The money should've never been left in the room if he wasn't in it.
worst motel room ever!
On 09/26/2018 my mother and I checked into a room at the Super 8 Walterboro in S.Carolina. The gentleman behind the window was pleasant and I have no complaints for him that evening. Our room was a different matter. The outlet for the HVAC was hanging out of the wall, an obvious fire hazard. The refrigerator and microwave were unplugged. There was an outlet extender in the socket offering double the plug. I believe this is also a fire hazard. Regardless, the refrigerator did not work. I did not test the microwave as I had no use for it. The carpeting appeared filthy and sticky as well when I accidently stepped on it in bare feet. The shower curtain was mold contaminated and the corners of the bathroom floor were packed with dirt and grime. I took my shower first in the morning. The tub would not drain and therefore my 83 yr old mother could not bathe. The dryer was also missing from the wall. I have photo's for all the conditions noted if anyone would like them. I travel a lot and this was by far one of the worst rooms I have encountered. The same desk man appeared to write this down, yet no apology was offered.
super 8 by wyndham at aberdeen southern pines
Let me start by saying that I travel for work, so I stay in hotels about 5 nights a week. I've been to some that have not been in the best of shape, but never have I felt the need to complain.
This was by far the worst place I've ever stayed in my life.
First, I checked in at the office, got my key and room number. I proceeded to go to my room, unlock the door and I find a man laying in his bed! He was startled, and so was I. I go back to the office to tell the lady who checked me in, and she bursts out laughing. She thought it was absolutely hilarious. No. It wasn't. Not only had I been on the road all day and was tired, and she put me into an already occupied room, but this older gentleman was laying in his bed trying to rest when a stranger walked into his room!
After finally getting a room, I walk in and it's so hot in the room that it could take your breath. It took over an hour for it to cool off enough to actually fall asleep. The pillows had stains and hair on them. The covers had stains all over them. The floors looked like the hadnt been vacuumed in who knows how long. Then, this morning, before it was even time for checkout, housekeeping was trying to come through the door. I have never stayed anywhere like this before, and will never stay again.
customer service from hotels.com and hotel management
I found a used syringe in my room that I have children in and I was told I couldn't speak to the manager the next day, the manager handled the situation very unprofessional and was very disrespectful. Hotels.com was absolutely no help and I'm extremely upset that the matter was not taken seriously. I could not believe I was treated the way I was today.
Hotel reservation issues; im sleeping in my car
Hello,
My name is alexis harper. I booked a hotel under hayden peters at the super 8 little rock/ottercreek location on 9/30/18 to 10/01/18. The confirmation number from hotels.com is [protected]. The phone number associated with the reservation is [protected]. Upon arrival around 11:30pm 9/30 we were greeted unprofessionally by an older african american woman who was very impolite. After giving her our information she informs us we have to put a $50.00 cash deposit down. We do not carry cash, especially when staying in areas like litte rock, and never this late at night. We also have no access to cash until business hours.
On super 8's website and hotel.com's website it clearly states you can choose to either put your credit card down on file for a depot or use cash. We explain that to the worker and she acts weird and timid and again says they only accept cash for the deposit. My boyfriend and I go back and forth on what we're going to do as she just stares at us without a worry in the world.
We then got back in our car and called super 8 by the airport in little rock. They even confirmed that their policy is to take credit cards or cash. So then we call the costumer service line and they basically said they couldn't do anything since we booked through a third party. Then we call hotels.com costumer service and luckily we get refunded for the night. Problem solved right? Nope! The money takes up to 7 days to process. We won't have any more money on our debit card until morning when we can deposit a check.
Now after wasting 2.5 hours of our time we are sleeping in our damn car! Sleeeeeping in our car, in the parking lot, needing to shower, got a 7 houe trip tomorrow, and all of this happened when we paid for a hotel that we couldnt stay in because the worker wouldnt follow policy!
I normally would let any mishaps slide. I'm a very understanding person in almost all situations. But when i'm laying down in my backseat at 2:17am unable to sleep because i'm uncomfortable and irritable when I paid for a bed to be in... I just can't let that go! Something needs to be done for this! And something needs to be done to the worker there.
Even if that location somehow changed policies then that needs to be stated on the page before you check out so people like me could find another hotel or make sure I had cash. I hope this problem can be resolved because I love super 8 hotels and don't want to have to start avoiding them.
Thanks for your time,
Alexis harper/hayden peters

room 107
I was at the super 8 in nampa Idaho on Wednesday... I awoke in the middle of the night scratching horribly... I turned on the light and had bed bugs in my pillow! We told the night desk clerk and she refunded our money and we left at around 330 in the morning. I am covered in bites and they are driving me crazy! I was so freaked out, I threw our clothes and shoes away and showered at a truck stop before going anywhere! It was room 107... but if they are in one room, they are probably in more... this was an awful experience!
super 8 bridgeview
My husband and I checked in at this property on 9/25/2018, the room was so bad I just had to let someone know! I will send pictures that will speak louder then words! Disgusting, nasty. I will never stay at a super 8 ever again! Crumbs in the bed, used soap, only half a sheet no fitted sheet, tolite was not cleaned, floor was filthy! I had to lay a towel on the floor to walk! The lady at the front counter was so busy watching wrestling on tv that we had to say excuse me to get her attention! Just horrible!
charges for smoking weed in room
Let me start by saying we stayed at all Super 8 hotels on our trip to North Dakota and on the way back home to Washington state too. The reason for our trip home was a family funeral. We have always looked for reasonable priced places to stay when traveling, ones that allow pets and have breakfast offered with your stay.
This stay was no different then any other. We decided to stay the night in Grand Forks after we had family pictures taken that evening, and didnt want to travel to Devil's Lake until the next day.
I had reserved the room with hotels.com as I have many other times, looking for a hotel that allows animals.
We arrived and my husband went and got us checked in, and got the keys to the room. We unloaded our things, getting the pets set up before laying down for the night to sleep. The next morning we got up, had breakfast, and showered before packing up to leave.
We finished our trip home to ND and on Sunday we headed back to WA. After getting home Justin was checking the credit card to make sure there were no charges that were unauthorized. That is when he realized there was a 280.00 dollar charged from Super 8 other then the hotel stay. So he called to find out what the extra charge was. He was then told we were being charged for smoking in the room!?!?!? WHAT! NOT JUST SMOKING...BUT WEED! This is not something we do, and I am not ok with being accused of something I don't do...we are disputing the charges...THIS IS NOT OK WITH US.
Please pass this along to people, so they are aware of the crap Super 8 is trying to get away with...this is not ok, and we will see this through. We will not be blamed for something we did not do.
Thank you for your time.
my stay
Rented a room for the night for my husband's birthday. I'm not sure about what time in the morning it was, but it definitely was extremely early, the phone started ringing. We we're sleeping so we were unaware at first that the phone was even ringing. Then a male staff member opened our door with out even knocking and started to walk in. After that I answered the phone and the lady on the other end was so rude and yelling at me that my card didn't go through and I needed to come up to the front and pay before she had us thrown out by security. I had another card and I paid with that. But the way we were treated is unacceptable. I've never rented a room where the staff just walks in. My privacy was all the way invaded. I didn't have any clothes on, how can it be ok for him to just walk in our room like that? Are these your policies? How can it be ok for the desk lady to scream and me and make me feel so inferior? Why wasn't my card checked or charged at check in so this issue could have been handled before we went to our room? How is it ok for your staff to call a room 10 times in a row that early in the morning? I was not trying to leave with out paying but was told they were going to call security on me. I'm discussed by my stay. After everything the only excuse the lady at the desk gave was we thought you left. Does this make it ok for them to invade our privcy and treat us like we are low? On top of this the room smelled like calone and was not really all that clean. There was trash behind the TV stand and a lot of built up dirt in the hot tub. We had to clean it before we used it. Shouldn't it be clean when we get there? We accepted this though because I was tired of searching for a room with a hot tub but the way we were treat at the hotel is extremely unacceptable. Those staff members do not deserve their job. We stayed at the super 8 in heneritta NY. I also believe you guys should re-evulate the staff at this location. I would hope something is seriously done about this. The guy just walked in our room. How is this acceptable?
