ordering online
Just had my second unpleasant experience using Target online to order something. The first time I ordered from a baby registry and paid for it to be wrapped, along with a card that I had typed a message on for my friend. When the package arrived to my house it was wrapped but the wrong card and message were attached. Of course I could not trust that the gift would be correct so I called customer service. They only offered that I should undo the wrapping to confirm the correct gift and nothing more. I had to ask for the wrapping charge to be refunded. Which then left me with an unwrapped gift, and no compensation from Target for THEIR error. Not acceptable!
A few months go by and I decide to try online ordering again. I ordered a pair of shoes for myself for an upcoming trip. With the two day shipping they should have arrived two days before I was to leave. When they didn't show up on time I called Customer Service and I was told that UPS had an incorrect address and returned the package to Target. I know that UPS has my correct address as I receive packages at my home on a weekly basis, so sorry Target but YOU are the problem once again. Since all of this occurred one day before I was to leave, then no shoes for me on my trip.
I WILL NEVER EVER ORDER FROM THIS INCOMPETENT COMPANY AGAIN! COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL, AND ABSOLUTELY NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL!
woodlands store invaded my privacy and cursed at me
I had accidently walked out of the store with a headband and when I returned it I was confronted by loss prevention who then called in a cop. I was cursed at, called a liar, and had my purse searched even though I did not give permission for the search. Of course they did not find anything in my bag or on my person but the officer still wanted to charged me for having my prescription pills in my bag! I don't know what to do. He used the "f" word multiple times and did not respect the word no! Poor excuses for people put in a position of "power!" I was alone in the room
with 3 men and they invaded my personal space, body and belongings!
So you stole a headband and now you are complaining that they treated you like a thief?
chandelier I ordered (i’d give you the number but I think it was wrong on my slip and it’s discontinued so not online)
After speaking to customer service and getting a refund, but ultimately not satisfied (I wanted the PRODUCT not a refund) I left a review on the product site, but since it's discontinued I doubt anyone will read it. Maybe they can read it here and know how their customers feel when they tell them they are getting a product, but they really aren't.
Order #[protected] Item:TCIN: [protected]. UPC: [protected] Item Number (DPCI): [protected]
I ordered this chandelier after seeing it at someone else's home. I was so elated to get it because it was unique and inexpensive. I haven't seen anything like it anywhere else. I received the item in fairly good time, but it was not complete with all the pieces for installation. Out of 9 pieces that should have been included, only 3 were there. The instructions that came with it were torn, and also not in English at all. Also, I had scheduled a handyman to install the fixture, and had to cancel that less than 24 hours before (costing me more money). When I called customer service to explain and ask them to handle it, the first representative laughed at me and told me to just send it back. I didn't WANT to send it back. I wanted the proper parts to install it. I spoke with a customer specialist, who was so nice and did probably everything he could, but there wasn't an identical item to replace it with, and there's was no way of knowing if it would ever be in stock again. (They took it right off the site after this happened. Probably so I wouldn't have a chance to give a bad review.)He gave me a refund, which was great, and didn't make me go though the trouble of sending it back. (But then, why would they want back a chandelier that you can't hang - it's worthless!). I really appreciate that, but I entered into an agreement in which I was promised a working chandelier. In end end, even with getting my money back I didn't get what I wanted and was just terribly disappointed to the point of tears. I realize I probably should not have been so excited about the order, but I was and Target really, really let me down. I've always been a good customer, too. If a buyer or anyone reads this and can just tell me if there is any possible way I can find this light fixture, complete with all parts, directly through a supplier or something, or if Target will get it back in stock, I would appreciate it. I might be willing to pay double for it and I'd even send the defective one back. It's great that I got my $80 back, but since there isn't another light fixture I can get with it, it's disappointing. I really just wanted the chandelier.
up & up deep cleaning pore strips
It says here are 14 strips in a box and there are only 8 in mine. This makes me sad. It's probably because the boxes aren't sealed or anything so it's super easy to open them in the store and take some out. Just a suggestion, seal the boxes. Overall this is a pretty good product but I just wish I got what I paid for. I guess I'll have to check all future boxes before purchase.
target truck driver #554203
Target semi truck driver dangerous road rage on CA-91 E / CA-71 N interchange on Friday, Sept 21 2018 at around 5:45 pm.
My husband and I were driving a black Acura MDX and had slowed down to merge from the CA-91E to the CA-71N. The driver of the target truck referenced above honked at us repeatedly - long obnoxious honks. My husband flipped him off. As we merged onto the 71, the driver sped up, got along side us and tried to run us off the road. He then purposely jackknifed the truck in front of us, causing us and all the vehicles behind us to slam on our brakes. He later maneuvered the truck back onto the 91frwy, causing more cars to also slam on their brakes before driving away. That was a very malicious and dangerous act that could have caused severe injury and even death to several people. He intentionally used a large Target semi-truck as a weapon, desiring to inflict harm. Someone with anger issues like that should not be driving, especially professionally. This is so antithecal to the Target brand I used to be a fan of.
security/store manager
Today Target offended me for the last time. My daughter has always loved that store and has always begged me to go there whenever we needed to go shopping. Even when we are on vacation, she wants to go to the Target there as well. She has Aspergers Syndrome and this year we have really been forcing her out of her comfort zone so I thought Target would be a good place to get her to shop alone. She spends a lot of her time there between classes or appointments and loves their beauty section. Needless to say, almost from the beginning, the "plain clothes" security guard has followed her around the store. She has called me on a couple of different occasions while she walked around the store because she didn't know why he was following her. I tried to talk to her about what she was doing that might be suspicious and encouraged her to change behaviors that might be attracting this man. But, as soon as she walks in the door he continues to follow her. Today, he called a second security guard and they stalked her throughout the whole shopping trip, talking on their walkie talkies about how they were going to catch her stealing. She was an emotional mess when she got home, literally trying not to throw up because her stomach was so upset. I went back to the store to complain to the manager who said that he must have had a reason and that I could not talk to him to find out what that reason was. He said that legally, he had a right to follow whoever he saw as suspicious and that he could not reveal to me why he saw her that way. Huh? He took my number and said he would let the "appropriate people" know. I am a little concerned. This guy is a big man who follows my daughter around the store, but I cannot know why. That sounds suspicious to me. Does he like to intimidate young girls who are vulnerable? The Target corporate site states, "Whether you're shopping in our stores, online or on a mobile device, we work hard to ensure your experience is always enjoyable and exciting." This is not the kind of exciting experience I want for her or anyone else. It was definitely not enjoyable for her. We have worked so hard to get her comfortable in different situations now we have this set back. Thank you Target, we cannot even learn from it since you won't tell me what she is doing so wrong.
I am so sorry to hear this. My city’s target wanted to catch me “stealing” too and went through my belongings even though I told them no! 3 big men surrounded me, i was alone and scared in the store. They are bullies with an authority problem picking on people who look vulnerable
false advertising
The Up & Up micellar cleansing water is to be compared to Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing water. In the description of the store brand product it clearly says free of oils and good for all skin types. There is so much oil in the Up & Up product (purchased on the 11th of September) that once shaken you can see the oil residue, bubbles, and murkiness of the liquid (not clear at all and it has been over 2 hours since the bottle has been touched). I am so disappointed. My daughter has oily skin and when I noticed Up & Up made the cleansing water with no oils, I was so eager to purchase it, since Garnier is so much more expensive. I purchased 2 Up & Up for almost the price of 1 Garnier. I will be returning the products for a full refund and will never purchase the product again. I will also be very hesitant on purchasing any more Up & Up products in the future. My daughter and I are very disappointed. We love Target and their store brands but from now on I may think twice before making the store brand purchase. My family and I spend quiet a bit of money in Target because of the amazing prices Up & Up brands have to offer. Thank you for your time. Look forward to hearing from you,

There is still a layer of oil, then a layer of thick heavy filmy bubbles and then murky translucent liquid with a foul odor. (now we are at 3 hrs)
the product UPC # is [protected]
however when scanned in the system it rang up #[protected] (on my receipt)
Thank you so much for your time
Very disappointed that I have to go through so much trouble just to send a complaint.
target home brand plates
Good evening,
I am writing to make you aware of an issue with a set of plates I purchased, somewhat recently, in store. The plates state they are microwave safe, however, I've had 2 of them completely break when put into the microwave. I figured the first one was a fluke; but today I was microwaving some bacon, and 1 min 30 seconds in, the plate completely snapped. Please see attached pictures. I am wondering if there is any way to replace these items? I do not see them online.
Thank you,
Seray Aksoy
online service and customer service
I ordered my toiletries online for a vacation 8 days prior to my vacation which turned out more of a headache than anything! I thought initially would be convenient. Worst idea ever! First my shipments were delivered in 9 shipments. Than an item was never sent with my shipment which they couldn't resend and I had to wait to get refunded the money. After it was a package delivered which was never delivered and having to wait 2 days before I can get a refund. Calling customer service non stop with no help! This was a horrible experience and I wouldn't recommend anyone ordering online unless you want to continuously call Target and have no help or have 9+ days to wait for your items to ship everything (if you get what you ordered) Good luck people. I learned my lesson
the entire longmont store
My family and I were on vacation in Berkeley, California and visited a Target there. We were so surprised and happy by the layout of the store and the wonderful clothing and product carried there. When we came back to our local store in Longmont, Colorado it was so drab and non of the clothing options were the same. I was so looking forward to the new brands and to shop for my three children and couldn't believe that, after speaking with a team member and being told that the designers were new, we didn't see the clothes in the store. I would love to see the choices from the California store in our in Longmont. I would buy more if I saw those options locally.
Sorry, it was the Brentwood store in California. And the team member there was so nice and helpful, I was so disappointed by our store here in comparison. The staging was so much better there and made people want to buy the product.
autistic senior excluded from premises
After 30+ years of shopping at Targets in Las Vegas (and never stealing so much as a toothpick), I'm not welcome at T-0850 because I have autistic/mongoloid facial features. I've been around long enough to know how serious the shoplifting problem is - and when I'm being illegally profiled as a shoplifting threat on physical characteristics alone.
Shoplifting is a terrible problem for retailers, but labeling customers as "suspicious" can't be used as justification and cover-up for bigotry and discrimination because of race, age, religious affiliation, physical or mental disabilities, or just because customers don't fit staff's personal definitions of "cool." Retailers need to get it through their heads that customers are there to shop, not audition for a fashion show or lounge act.
I've tried everything else to get through to Target management, maybe some poetry will help ...
You're saying I'm a thief; you're saying that I steal.
You have no proof, and I've denied it.
How am I supposed to feel?
Reflecting your own dishonesty? The rationale's the same.
Supposing everybody steals and everyone's to blame.
You needn't be specific about what you think I took.
I'm guilty and you know it; it's just the way I "look."
With powers of omniscience, your impressions never fail.
Got to keep your numbers up, so what if I go to jail?
If not today, then yesterday, here or another place.
I'm guilty and you know it; you "see" it in my face.
Your family's more important than anything I claim.
Even if I'm innocent, it's how you play the game.
The only thing you can't explain, the only thing that's real,
If false charges were against YOU,
How would it make YOU feel?
YOUR wife, YOUR children, YOUR parents. Would it really be the same?
Still stickin' to your story that EVERYONE'S to blame?
Because of your position, of course you're never wrong.
May someone close - or you yourself -
Fall prey to the same FALSE song.
Why proclaim your innocence, even it's even true?
Influencial testimony by some know-it-all like YOU!
(If you've been falsely accused, feel free to use this; if you're truly an offender, don't you dare!)
Manager was screaming at me from two aisles over, poised/coiled to tackle me at the checkout. I don't have a "guardian." Do you?
Target needs to get a clue in several areas. I was effectivey 86'd from store #0850, ostensibly for being a shoplifting threat, and all attempts to get managment to admit it was a bully-based, discriminatory policy breech have been ignored; likewise with Target Corporate ... no response. Free advertising slogan, guys: "Target: we don't give a damn ... and it shows!"
Target hassles seniors, disabled, ugly, whatever, still have no control over shoplifting, their stock is down 25%, and they give red-carpet restroom treatment to transexuals, in case you haven't heard.
Target has hundreds of online complaints from folks who don't want men who will abuse the policy wearing dresses and earrings just to scope out the women and children in the restrooms, and management doesn't get the fact that they're also giving a whole new segment of potential shoplifters free run of the store with "booster bags" (shopping bags lined with tin foil so the Sensormatic alarms won't sound for unpaid merchandise), a.ka. a "purse" like any "lady." Are you jivin' me?
profiling due to physical disabilities
After 30+ years of shopping at Targets in Las Vegas (and never stealing so much as a toothpick), I'm not welcome at T-0850 because they don't like my autistic/mongoloid facial features! Shoplifting is a terrible problem for retailers, but profiling customers as "suspicious" for no valid reason can't legally be used as justification and cover-up for bigotry and discrimination because of race, age, religious affiliation, physical or mental disabilities, or just because customers don't fit staff's personal, arbitrary definitions of "cool." File complaints with U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division, 950 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, Washington, DC 20530. Most people "won't bother" to report such crimes and that's what these overgrown bullies are counting on. Stand up, sound off, make a difference!
cleaning and disinfecting lens care system - 3% hydrogen peroxide solution 24 oz (2-pack)
This is our second time purchasing this product and second time having a bad experience. Every morning when my wife and I go to put our contact lenses in, after sitting in the solution over night (exceeding the 6-hour minimum time limit as mentioned on the box), it burns our eyes for about 5-10 minutes. It is extremely painful and uncomfortable. I have never had an issue with Target's Up+Up products until now. We are very dissatisfied with this product and will never purchase it again.
dunkin donuts coffee drink
I was at the Target in Danvers, MA. returning an expired coffee drink I had just purchased, dated May 2018, when one of the workers told me that I should have checked the date of the drink before buying it. She did send me to customer service to exchange it, but she made it sound like it was my fault. I thought it was the employees job to check the dates on the products, not the consumer. I have been a loyal customer for several years and have expected better customer service then I received today. I am very dissapointed with the Danvers store. Hopefully, you will inform your store managers and employees that they need to have all the products in the food section, checked for expired dates. This is not the first time I have picked up an expired item from the Danvers store. Thank you for taking the time to read my complaint.
Sincerely,
Maureen Erekson
up and up infant formula
As I was scooping the formula out of our new box we bought yesterday. A live roach was inside the formula crawling around. There's no way one could have crawled in at my house. My 8 month old was eating that since we bought it yesterday and that is truly disgusting. I feel as the manufacturer should be watching closely that stuff like this doesn't happen especially when it comes to baby food. We threw it out immediately and took it to the store to get a new one since I will not let my daughter eat it after knowing the roach has been living in there for who knows how long.
truck driver
On July 23, 2018 a target truck driver cut me off on I-80 west bound at around 3:40pm. The truck number was 555120. As we passed him up, he mocked us with two hands up and made a face at us instead of apologizing. Rude. If this is the kind of people target employs in a position that could potentially harm others, we will take our business elsewhere. That man has no place being in a large truck driving as dangerously as he did.
service
Target is a great store to shop but sometime the employees working really gives a hard time. I went to one of the naples location to exchange the pack of diapers and the employee at customer service was really good at first, she also helped me in finding the nursery baby water. The employee in the baby section was very good as she brought 4 packs of water from back as they only had one in the isle. Everything was working great and when I went back to customer service with a new diaper packet the employee there told me that's it's a same pack, so I said yes it's size two but different print, and she was like what?. She did not say anything but her facial expression were like really?. Then I had 5 gallons of baby water and I just asked the plastic bag for that as I had sparain in my hand and with a plastic bag it would be easier to carry 5 gallons on water and plus the other stuff that I purchased. But but asking for a plastic bag changed her facial expression to just like plasticccc bag for water!? Really? She did not say anything but after noticing her reaction I was being polite and I said sorry for giving you trouble but it will be easier for me to carry in plastic bag, so I am sorry. And guess what I got no reply from her. She continued with the same expression just nodding her horizontally without uttering any single word. She handed me the receipt and that's it. No greeting, nothing such it's ok that's fine. I think she thought asking a plastic bag was like I am asking everything I bought for free. I also do customer service job and this is not the way we are taught.
She said nothing so I cannot complaint that she was rude to me but yes her facial expression were really rude as they were noticed by other customers standing in line as they all were watching me like I am asking something for free.
This was the worst experience I ever had in any store.
target gift cards
I have a valid $50 target gift card - I attempted to exchange it for (10) $5.00 gift cards so that I could use it for rewards for employees. I have been able to do this with gift cards from Starbucks, wegmans and other companies. I was told Target doesn't do this - I then called the 1-800 # to ask WHY? It is a target card for target cards - NO reason given - just we can't do that.. my company has a policy that we want to make it easy for customers to do business with us.. perhaps this is a motto that target should look into...
up & up regular light-day liner
I just purchased a 129 count of these liners and it seems that they have really skimped on the product. Very thin and adhesive sticks to fingers when peeling off strip. Also, when wearing, the padding peels apart and shreds, getting on skin, etc.
Really feel as if quality on this product has gone down, used to buy these before and were not like this!
bottle drop ins for playtex
I just bought a box of up and up brand drop ins and have found 2 drops with multiple holes in them. I have lost about 12oz of bottled water and ruined a container of formula which is not cheap when the drop in poured water out of it. I havent even used one sleeve of 25 and found 2 defective already. I am very dissatisfied, I have used your brand for a while now but will be considering alternatives if up and up isnt more reliable.
