I am a user of the Tata Indicom USB Modem for the Laptop. I pu rchsed this item approxiametly 1 week ago and received already 2 bills. 5 days after the purchase my internet access was made off and I was told that I had to pay already a bill of 1700 Rupees. The plan that I chose was the 1500 Ruppes plan which they told me would give me unlimited internet access and 5 GB downloading. I took this and paid the bill. 2 days after the again activated my internet access I get now again a next bill to pay again 1047 Ruppes or my connection will again be made off.
I did not use my limit that I doont even have in 2 days.
Are you not ashamed of yourout tselves of cheatin people like this. I know many people complain about this. I will surely sue Tata indicom for this in court and many other people will surely do the same. This is not to take. You have to correct this immediately! What is this Tata Indicom Company only a ###ing bunnch of liars that cheat Indians of their money an d ignore it. This commpany will surely go down if it continues to cheat and ignore their costumers. You make the Indian country really look bad. Be ashamed of yourselves.

If you have thought prepaid connection is safe because the connection is automatically disabled when you run into negative balance, you are wrong.
Hear my story:
I recharged my photon+ prepaid around June 10 by 4GB by paying Rs. 1000 at an outlet.
When the expiry date was nearing in July 10, I wanted to use up all the currency left, so I started using photon more and more and I realized that I was not at all getting any SMSs from Photon about the balance. I used to get a few SMSs a day earlier.
Anyway, I never worried as I was expecting the photon will stop working once I cross the usage limit.
On July 11th, it stopped working.
I charged for Rs1350 on July 12th online.
Now when I checked the balance online, this is what I See:

Worried, I called the support.
A guy said someone will call me back.
Nothing happened for a day.
I call back today, the Lady who attended me said that I had a negative balance of 4GB.
And there was a technical glitch at tata side which could not disable my card when it went into negative balance. (So they decided to recover the leaked bandwidth by penalizing me when I charged next time! It is like when I goto a gas station and ask for 10Ltrs of gas, the attendant fills 20Ltrs and ask me to cuff up more money...)
Well we buy prepaid hoping that we will never get into this problem.
I think tata deliberately program it that way to cheat their customers.
If I had charged for Rs. 1000, which I normally do, I would have left with no balance,
whole 1000 rupees would have gone.

Hi customer service,
I am Rajan Chugh a resident of Whispering Palms Kandivali (E), Mumbai. I have taken the TATA INDICOM broadband connection in Jan’2010, paid initial amount of Rs1000 towards connection charges and signed up for plan of Rs 700/ mth for limited use (a/c [protected]). To my surprise end of month I receive a invoice for INR 3600. The service was abruptly disconnected. Since then I have sent mails and phone calls and they not corrected the billing. When asked im told that I have been billed for over usage, higher than even credit limit for this account. I fail to understand how can I use over credit limit when the service was not working for two weeks in the given month. When asked I am told credit limit is just indicative. Instead I have been sent legal notice threatening legal action. I regret making change from my earlier service provider, thinking TATA name will bring better reliability and service, Big Mistake ! When i called BROAD BAND customer care number they have told to write a mail to customerservice@tatatelecommunications.com. When I write an email, I am given customer service contact number, getting a run around. Beware consumers, before you decide on TATA INDICOM

I'm having TATA Indicom broadband from past one year.(account number [protected]) I opted for this just because it was TATA as I've immense respect towards TATA. This was the greatest mistake in my life. Recently say 20 days back I changed my home but in the same locality. As usual I requested indicom to shift the connection, the agreed for that and committed to do so within 72 hrs.
I was waiting for the service person in those 72 Hrs (i was a fool that I realized later!) None showed his face, again I called indicom and once again same ramayana mahabharata repeated and once again commitment, this time it was 48 hrs commitment! and no need to say that nothing was happened!
Again again I called indicom but this time they act very clearly as soon as I mentioned my account number they just disconnect my call.
TATA indicom can easily top in customer care hall of shame world list.
God bless indicom. In the mean time i feel pity on Ratan Tata, these indicom people are blackening his glory.

This is the example of mental torture, harassment done by tata tele services now they block my outgoing services without informing me and after contacting customer care they are asking submit your documents related to id and address proof, but on 12.08.2010 and 14.09.2010 i already submitted my documents twice... I don't know what they did with my documents.

I am having Tata Indicom WiMax connection with userid (jain.mehul@vsnl.net) from Bangalore, Karnataka. I took the four months connection on which i got it for one month free.
I have been using my personal Belkin router to have a wireless connection at my home. For the first four months it was working fine but from the start of this month we are facing problem. Only one PC can be connected at a time. We have to call the local customer care number (which is not toll free since we dont have a tata indicom phone ) daily to reset the connection so that more than one PC can be connected. We asked the engineer to set it so that we need not have to call them daily. He asked us to do some changes and on asking technically why do we need to do them, he couldnt answer and hanged up on us. I myself being a computer science engineer couldnt appreciate the procedure he suggested and wanted further details.
I am really unhappy with the service. The worst part is having to login each time i need to connect to the internet. With all the power failures that we face it is a pain and on top of it if the connection isnt logged out properly it throws an error while trying to relogin.
I ll be greatful if you can help me resolve the multiple connection issue ASAP.

How do you deal with thieves who say they are a company?
--> Late July, I wanted a Tata Photon connection. An agent gave me wrong information about which documents are required.
--> After taking my Rs 2, 500, the "manager" said the documents are wrong; he cancelled it and said the refund would take 3 weeks.
--> One month later, there was one phone call every day from me, "system issue, " etc.
--> Then the manager gave excuses like "he is in hospital, " with his friend answering the phone.
--> The "nodal officers" are all just workers in a call centre! Three months on, I was speaking with them every day for two days. No action.
--> The "appellate authority" is a call centre! I was speaking with them every day for two days. No action, except that Sangeeta Nair of Tata Teleservices called and confirmed my details. Two/three weeks since then, no action taken. (They took my money giving false info, now they don't get back; more than 100 days.) Sangeeta Nair of Tata Teleservices, along with maybe 15 others I have spoken to... all say it's a "system problem." But the "system" doesn't have my money; some people do.

According to this activation of DND, after 45 days, i should have no promotional calls on my mobile but even after the 60 days, promotional calls are still disturbing me.
From 30th November, 2010, i am continuously calling to the customer care for the above matter, but they have a single reply that their system is on upgradation and they cannot help me, please call after some time.
But in last 15days, their system are not upgraded.

Sir,
The undersigned got a call on 18th Nov, 2010 for payment of Tata Indicom from the No.[protected]. At that Time I have informed that I would like to discontinue the service of this plug to service and the customer care agrees on it.
To day I got a call from the same telephone number for payment for the month of Jan2011. As I told them that the request for deactivation has already given, the Customer relation manager Mr. Gurung has behave so rudely and threaten me to kill and he used so nasty language which is beyond my imagination.
Does Tata Group of company employ such in human being who does not know how to speak and deal with customer.
Please take necessary action against Mr. Gurung and he should sent an apology letter to the undersigned. I had paid all my bills in due time however Mr. Gurung alleged that his record shows that I have not paid for last six months. Is it the way to harass customer and threatened to kill the customer. I do not know what is his vested interest in collection of such payment?
As per the undersigned, dealing with Customer should be recorded for necessary action against such officer.
Hope for necessary action against MR. Gurung and deactivation of my account .

My tata indicom phone (walky) I am using it from near 10 months and it has for 2 year free rental plan, But now they have billed rupees 317 without any outgoing calls and usase. After making a call to customer care they told me some add ons services was active so u got this bill. But till now I had never resuted any add on service to my number.
I will never use and recommend for any tata indicom phone connection. Its a bad provider and they are activating and charging for services which user even do not know.

I got TATA connection 7-8 months back...it worked properly in first 2 months ...now i get very high pings while playing online games...before my pings was 50-60 ms now they are 600-700 ms...my net plan is unlimited WLAN 512 kbps...
Problem still not resolved.

An amount of rs 30/- has been deducted from my prepaid account saying that you will be activated the welcome tune as preffered by you .I have opted for the song, "andari daivamaya badrachalaramaih adukone prabhuvayya ayodhyaramaih" from Telugu movie "DEVULLU".This has been done at behest of Tata Indicom staff (lady employee) on 22-04-2011 at around 12.00 noon asking me to subscribe and deducted rs 30/- on the spot assuring me of the song being activated with in 2 to 3 hours.So far till date, till this time no welcome tune is activated. I have been complaining them after the time they have stipulated.I have been in touch with their customer care representatives who have been changed frequently. nearly 5 to 6 persons are changed .every time they are saying the tunes will be activated within two hours. I am using a Tata Photon Plus connection ([protected]) for the past 5 months and suddenly my connection has been deactivated stating that my address verification has not been done. I paid the due amount even before the bill being generated and still cannot use my device for the past two weeks.I tried calling the helpline no and sent three different mails to various customercare ids they provided, received one auto generated response. No one even bothered to look into the issue. My connection is a corporate connection and this is being handled such a dismal manner. Whenever I ask for a solution to the customercare no they provide some other email id. The retailer is also absolutely worthless, Netwoth consultants, who do even bother to respond to repeated calls and when I went to disconnect the connection, they said the device is already sold and cannot be taken back and I need to visit some Tata indicom store to do the same. Such rude behaviour from the retailer and indifferent attitude from the Photon team is unacceptable. And to top that I am being charged rental for the time when my connection was actually inactive. This is ridiculous, can I take legal action at this point, because frankly I have reached the edge with such apalling service
Would like some advise from anyone who has faced such issues.

Hi,
I had registered for two postpaid connections of TATA Indicom from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala for two months that is from Dec 2008 to Feb 2009. The two numbers that were registered to me were [protected] and [protected]. I had paid all my bills for the two months of usage and had asked the service provider for termination of services for these numbers since I was relocating to Bangalore. However, after about 6 months, I got a bill for one of the numbers from Tata Tele Services that I had dues on my cell phone and I had to pay a penalty on avoiding which I would be liable to prosecution by law. Since I did not want to go through the hassles of courts, I paid the bill and again disconnected the number for which I had recieved the bill.
Now after 2 years of no communication, an advocate representing Tata tele services has again sent me a notice stating that I have pending dues on both the above mentioned numbers and I need to pay up. I do not even have the reciepts of my payment since this incident was 2 years back and there was no communication whatsoever about any dues all this long. I myself work for a company (TCS) from the Tata group and this kind of money extracting process from innocent customers is totally uncalled for especially when it comes from such a reputed company like Tata. This should be immediately put to stop and there is abosolutely no logic for these kinds of bils out of the blue.
I hope that my grievance is resolved and I hope that it helps in avoiding such incidents for other customers

My phone number of tata indicom connection is [protected]. After recharging a heavy amount is directly cut from the account. Really i phoned to customer care but there is no solution from them. I also called to mangalore office but they are not atall responsive. I think this is only happening with TATA company. They are making the people fool. This is one type of business strategy. They are making money by making the customers fool. Can i go to consumer court in this regard?

I am a Tata Photon datacard customer. My account number is [protected]. Along with my bill dated 2 August 2011 I received a pamphlet offering a free Tata Indicom mobile connection. When I went to claim this offer, I was told by Srinivas, the sales officer at the Bangalore Office, that this was an old offer, not valid now. It was only on my insistence that I had received the offer four days ago and it could not be invalid that Suresh, the supervisor, agreed to grant the connection. It took another three visits to finally get the SIM card. I was told that the number would be activated in 24 hours. It has now been 168 hours, the number is still not active. I had opted for the connection due to a good experience with my Tata Photon connection. I was also planning to migrate my Airtel Blackberry connection to Tata Teleservices. However, my terrible experience with this new connection has spoiled my trust in the Tata brand.

TATA INDICOM is the worst service provider. First they promise you with good product and service and once you buy the product, you realise that the service is not good. Either the signal is not available or the call drops and then the mobile gets heated up and shuts down. the worst part is whn you want to disconnect they dont allow you to disconnect . It is eitheryou have to contact some obscure office which you cannot trace and when you mamage to go there, they dont accept the cancellation. When it done online, they call back with assurances that the no. has beem cancelled and then the next month you receive the bill again. This is the 3rd time I have tried TATA INDICOM and promise to myself that I will never but any of the product again and also advice others not go for the product.

I want to discontinue my tata indicom number which i bought with handset on installment basis, i was having 2 installments pending and i made the payment for that installments 2days back but they are saying that we didnt get any payment, i have the receipt for the same with me they told me that this payment will be updated within 2 hours and i will get a confirmation call but till now i didn't got any call or not even updated with the payments. Please look after over this aspect because my monthly rentals will not going to stop till the time my number is active.

Sir With due respect I would like to inform you that I have been unnecessarily harassed by tata indicom postpaid. The company has sent me fictitious bill of rs 3382/- for nov 2011 which reflects that I have sent 5152 national sms with my no [protected] amounting to rs 2589.50 .This is completely wrong as I had not sent these sms . i had not send even 100 messages monthly . There are 2 connections running on ac no.[protected] since dec 2006. The numbers are [protected] and [protected] respectively. I am an innocent customer of your company since dec 2006 I have always been paying my bills regularly . Average bill of mine is rs 600/- for the past 5+ years. I have been unnecessarily harassed . Kindly look into the matter and give a solution at the earliest. I have already lodged complaint with customer care with complaint no.[protected]. I have also lodged my complaint with tata nodal officer and appellete authority.

I had taken Tata Indicom internet connection. Their representative came to our place to take address proof and he had told us that after verification of documents the connection would get initiated, after three days it got active.
Then one day suddenly it got disconnected, when inquired they said, they could not verify the address. Fine I said how they can, they said our representative would come to your place, only Mon-Fri office hours, fine I took a day off. I was assured by their Bangalore manager who sits on following number +[protected]. I took off and started following up intially this guy said yeah our person would come, now they have in fact switched off the phone. When I call the call canter from last 3 days they are giving same answer, our systems are down we can't fetch your details. Now they have replied to my complaint mail, that I should go to their office to submit my documents.
My complaint is why should I go, have they eaten my documents ? Why they cash the check before doing the verification ? Why they, at first place, started the connection when things were not verified. My id is [protected].
I am surprised by negligent and lethargic nature of this company's people. I do not know whom to call as individuals from TATA have turned out to be liars and Call center itself is in mess.

This is to bring attention to everyone regarding the poor network services ( tata indicom docomo ) not only connectivity when i contacted customer care team they are also rude, plcaed call on hold for 20 min.without informing.Being a customer i had no other option to hold the line and finally transfered the call to different dept. and finally agent disconnected the call.when shared the issue with their customer care team the response was again rude - " transferred the call to Senior desk as requested by you to transfer call to senior so no wrong transfer found & also no wrong information provided by the our agent in the call, as duration of the call is approx 19 min & your call was not on hold but was on transfer as it will take time to transfer call to senior "

TATA indicom SUCKS!...i regret ever having approached tata indicom for a USB connection for my co. manager. Though i asked for the duration it would take to send in the box and hte registration, the customer service dpt. i don't think understands any of the languages spoken firstly. They stated that it would be done in 24-48hrs at the max. On asking them what documents were required since he was an EXPAt and not an indian, assuming that documents would be required. they stated on only id proof of the individual and a residence proof of hte same. I got all the doucments ready along with the cash. Promptly the very next day after the call. a sales Exec. by the name of Mr. GK Kulkarni of the SHivajinagar office called and came to collect the money and the doucments. i Furnished the same along iwth a company letter since he informed me that the residence proof wasn't going to be enough. After waiting back and giving all documents he stated that hte connection would be witht he customer the very next day. Unfortunatlythat was a BIG LIE. He firstly insisted on taking the money without giving a receipt stating that it was hte way of the system at the office. Very reluctantly we gave him the entire amt without getting receipt thus trusting that he would stick to his word, by giving us the connection immediately. It has been 4 days and there is no connection. Several phone calls to the sales agetn and the head office has caused alot of distress to the client. THE WORD URGENCY SHOULD BE UNDERSTOOD FIRSTLY BY ALL TATA INDICOM AGENTS. SECONDLY...All sales agents and cusotmer service agents should be able to explain over hte phone what the entire procedure for securing a connection is, and be honest about how long it would take to get a connection. I think tata indicom really needs to pull up their agents and train their cusotmerservice agents to be prompt and accurate in their dealings. All sales agents should be provided with receipt books if they're taking the money from cusotmers. TATA INDICOM REALLY NEEDS TO PULL UP THEIR SLEEVES AND WORK BETTER or else they will be known as the WORST provider in business. I HOPE this is never repeated again, I know i wouldn't recommend it to anyone for all the problem that has been caused to me and my client.

This is regarding the worst services offered by tata indicom and based on this i will proceed legally.
As i had applied for the Tata Indicom Broadband internet connection on 10-06-2007 with the marketing executive named Mr. Shivaram ( Film nagar area - jubilee hills ), filled the application and gave the cheque for 3146 rupees. He told me that the internet will get connected with in 3 days and broke the promise, now i had waited for 16 days following his requests but at last he is telling that it will take some more time and he is not sure about the time also. His superiors are not interested to talk with the clients according to his words... So whom should i go for and where should i complain, if i was not able to get internet with in 2 days, i will proceed legally and file a case against tata indicom.

I have face really really very bad experience. when calling customer care at 121 or 1515, then customer is treated as Dog, no where what type of customer he is.
I was not given waver for Rs. 300.
Tata indicom has rights to barraged the outgoing of the cust. as of no use and if the cust. calls from other mobile he is not provided the waver.
I am very frustrated from the services of the Tata Indicom.
It is hell like anything and also people in tata indicom like Amit who is in customer care in Okhla office do not supports and ginish parb in mohali as supervisor is good for nothing.
Now I am deciding to move to the court and to raise this issue.

I am a subscriber to TATA postpaid connection with tel. no. [protected]. The connection was taken some 5 months back.. While taking connection, TATA people gave a refurbished set (in place of a new white 350T as demanded by me) with a request that as there was shortage of sets presently, the same would be replaced by a new set very soon. I believed them and took the connection and I did not worry because the set was working. However, within a month's time the set got defective with a typical hanging problem. On complaint, it was replaced again by a refurbished set. That set again gave problem related to malfunctioning of a switch and on complaint, it was also replaced again by a refurbished set. Similar thing happened four times and today it is the fifth set with me within a span of five months. Every time when the problem is faced of one or other type, the service remains affected for two - three days. The present set goes OFF very frequently sometimes without even being used for one hour.
In such scenario, this time I have insisted your people to give a new set only. But they have not done so. As the service is fully unsatisfactory, I have not paid my dues with a request to stop subscription, but TATA people at Katni have not agreed to even take the application. The service is presently suspended due to non of my faults. In such situation, I am being forced to seek legal and other helps. Though, I have informed the problem of such frequent trouble by your people at 121 but nothing has come out except assurance.
This is to let you know that I am a very frustrated customer of yours..I had got a connection last year in November #[protected]. It was a Sungill limited addition connection wortj Rs.3000.
I was excited to be a part of Tata Indicom but my dream was shattered. Unfortunately, the set was faulty. I registered complaint, went o CP office, Office at Rampura (sungill repair center) but all in vein. Lastly, in June, 2006 my appeal was listened and instrument changed BUT, not for what I paid I got ACCESSTEL -800 which was available for Rs. 800 only that time...
Till date so many complaints so many talks so many dates given to me so many excuses but NO RESOLUTION finally I got that connection deactivated.
THE IRONY
During the above talk every told me that no new handset is in stock that is the reason we will not be able to give you.
Just to try I applied for a new connect [protected] got the NEW SHINY LG 350 T model...WOW! but again, it was totally dead on the Second day of charging. I again registered complaint got my handset replaced but with a repaired old set of some other customer. I deserve to have a new handset since, its a new connection...well i got it disconnected as well...
Shame shame shame nothing else you people deserve.

My SIM is not working and TATA store is also not having new SIM. I have86 Rs. balance in my mobile. When I went TATA store they said they don't have SIM at their store and I need to wait for atleast next week atleast (if available) and they were also asking for additional 50 rupees as they were saying TATA upgraded SIM (from 34 to 64 KB) and I need to pay for that. I paid money once I purchased new SIM. If upgradation is by TATA, then why do I pay and they are asking me to keep my phone off till the time they avail SIM at their store. Need your intervention as it is creating a big problem for me as my phone is switch off. You can contact me on [protected]. If you have thought prepaid connection is safe because the connection is automatically disabled when you run into negative balance, you are wrong.
Hear my story:
I recharged my photon+ prepaid around June 10 by 4GB by paying Rs. 1000 at an outlet.
When the expiry date was nearing in July 10, I wanted to use up all the currency left, so I started using photon more and more and I realized that I was not at all getting any SMSs from Photon about the balance. I used to get a few SMSs a day earlier.
Anyway, I never worried as I was expecting the photon will stop working once I cross the usage limit.
On July 11th, it stopped working.
I charged for Rs1350 on July 12th online.
Now when I checked the balance online, this is what I See:

Worried, I called the support.
A guy said someone will call me back.
Nothing happened for a day.
I call back today, the Lady who attended me said that I had a negative balance of 4GB.
And there was a technical glitch at tata side which could not disable my card when it went into negative balance. (So they decided to recover the leaked bandwidth by penalizing me when I charged next time! It is like when I goto a gas station and ask for 10Ltrs of gas, the attendant fills 20Ltrs and ask me to cuff up more money...)
Well we buy prepaid hoping that we will never get into this problem.
I think tata deliberately program it that way to cheat their customers.
If I had charged for Rs. 1000, which I normally do, I would have left with no balance,
whole 1000 rupees would have gone.

I am Rajan Chugh a resident of Whispering Palms Kandivali (E), Mumbai. I have taken the TATA INDICOM broadband connection in Jan’2010, paid initial amount of Rs1000 towards connection charges and signed up for plan of Rs 700/ mth for limited use (a/c [protected]). To my surprise end of month I receive a invoice for INR 3600. The service was abruptly disconnected. Since then I have sent mails and phone calls and they not corrected the billing. When asked im told that I have been billed for over usage, higher than even credit limit for this account. I fail to understand how can I use over credit limit when the service was not working for two weeks in the given month. When asked I am told credit limit is just indicative. Instead I have been sent legal notice threatening legal action. I regret making change from my earlier service provider, thinking TATA name will bring better reliability and service, Big Mistake ! When i called BROAD BAND customer care number they have told to write a mail to customerservice@tatatelecommunications.com. I'm having TATA Indicom broadband from past one year.(account number [protected]) I opted for this just because it was TATA as I've immense respect towards TATA. This was the greatest mistake in my life. Recently say 20 days back I changed my home but in the same locality. As usual I requested indicom to shift the connection, the agreed for that and committed to do so within 72 hrs.
I was waiting for the service person in those 72 Hrs (i was a fool that I realized later!) None showed his face, again I called indicom and once again same ramayana mahabharata repeated and once again commitment, this time it was 48 hrs commitment! and no need to say that nothing was happened!
Again again I called indicom but this time they act very clearly as soon as I mentioned my account number they just disconnect my call.
TATA indicom can easily top in customer care hall of shame world list.
God bless indicom. In the mean time i feel pity on Ratan Tata, these indicom people are blackening his glory.

I am having Tata Indicom WiMax connection with userid (jain.mehul@vsnl.net) from Bangalore, Karnataka. I took the four months connection on which i got it for one month free.
I have been using my personal Belkin router to have a wireless connection at my home. For the first four months it was working fine but from the start of this month we are facing problem. Only one PC can be connected at a time. We have to call the local customer care number (which is not toll free since we dont have a tata indicom phone ) daily to reset the connection so that more than one PC can be connected. We asked the engineer to set it so that we need not have to call them daily. He asked us to do some changes and on asking technically why do we need to do them, he couldnt answer and hanged up on us. I myself being a computer science engineer couldnt appreciate the procedure he suggested and wanted further details.
I am really unhappy with the service. The worst part is having to login each time i need to connect to the internet. With all the power failures that we face it is a pain and on top of it if the connection isnt logged out properly it throws an error while trying to relogin.
I ll be greatful if you can help me resolve the multiple connection issue ASAP.
How do you deal with thieves who say they are a company?
--> Late July, I wanted a Tata Photon connection. An agent gave me wrong information about which documents are required.
--> After taking my Rs 2, 500, the "manager" said the documents are wrong; he cancelled it and said the refund would take 3 weeks.
--> One month later, there was one phone call every day from me, "system issue, " etc.
--> Then the manager gave excuses like "he is in hospital, " with his friend answering the phone.
--> The "nodal officers" are all just workers in a call centre! Three months on, I was speaking with them every day for two days. No action.
--> The "appellate authority" is a call centre! I was speaking with them every day for two days. No action, except that Sangeeta Nair of Tata Teleservices called and confirmed my details. Two/three weeks since then, no action taken. (They took my money giving false info, now they don't get back; more than 100 days.) Sangeeta Nair of Tata Teleservices, along with maybe 15 others I have spoken to... all say it's a "system problem." But the "system" doesn't have my money; some people do.
I, ANKUR KHETAN, user of Tata Indicom Prepaid service wide Moblie No. [protected]. I have used the DND service on 14th October, 2010 and my reference no. was DND07657874. According to this activation of DND, after 45 days, i should have no promotional calls on my mobile but even after the 60 days, promotional calls are still disturbing me.
From 30th November, 2010, i am continuously calling to the customer care for the above matter, but they have a single reply that their system is on upgradation and they cannot help me, please call after some time.
But in last 15days, their system are not upgraded.

The undersigned got a call on 18th Nov, 2010 for payment of Tata Indicom from the No.[protected]. At that Time I have informed that I would like to discontinue the service of this plug to service and the customer care agrees on it.
To day I got a call from the same telephone number for payment for the month of Jan2011. As I told them that the request for deactivation has already given, the Customer relation manager Mr. Gurung has behave so rudely and threaten me to kill and he used so nasty language which is beyond my imagination.
Does Tata Group of company employ such in human being who does not know how to speak and deal with customer.
Please take necessary action against Mr. Gurung and he should sent an apology letter to the undersigned. I had paid all my bills in due time however Mr. Gurung alleged that his record shows that I have not paid for last six months. Is it the way to harass customer and threatened to kill the customer. I do not know what is his vested interest in collection of such payment?
As per the undersigned, dealing with Customer should be recorded for necessary action against such officer.
Hope for necessary action against MR. Gurung and deactivation of my account .

My tata indicom phone (walky) I am using it from near 10 months and it has for 2 year free rental plan, But now they have billed rupees 317 without any outgoing calls and usase. After making a call to customer care they told me some add ons services was active so u got this bill. But till now I had never resuted any add on service to my number.
I will never use and recommend for any tata indicom phone connection. Its a bad provider and they are activating and charging for services which user even do not know.

My tata Indicom postpaid mobile number is [protected], i am using this number from last four years, and have to come out of state for some reasons so i have changed my plan to Roaming plan, and i have got 2000 minutes incoming free and 300 rupees free for outgoing local & std and i have called only around 250 rupees which is in the limit, now customer care executive says that these free amount is not use in roaming but they didn't tell me this thing before & this is very funny that Tata Indicom provide a roaming plan but we cant use the facilites in Roaming. Please do something from this regard.

I am using a Tata Photon Plus connection ([protected]) for the past 5 months and suddenly my connection has been deactivated stating that my address verification has not been done. I paid the due amount even before the bill being generated and still cannot use my device for the past two weeks.I tried calling the helpline no and sent three different mails to various customercare ids they provided, received one auto generated response. No one even bothered to look into the issue. My connection is a corporate connection and this is being handled such a dismal manner. Whenever I ask for a solution to the customercare no they provide some other email id. The retailer is also absolutely worthless, Netwoth consultants, who do even bother to respond to repeated calls and when I went to disconnect the connection, they said the device is already sold and cannot be taken back and I need to visit some Tata indicom store to do the same. Such rude behaviour from the retailer and indifferent attitude from the Photon team is unacceptable. And to top that I am being charged rental for the time when my connection was actually inactive. This is ridiculous, can I take legal action at this point, because frankly I have reached the edge with such apalling service

I had registered for two postpaid connections of TATA Indicom from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala for two months that is from Dec 2008 to Feb 2009. The two numbers that were registered to me were [protected] and [protected]. I had paid all my bills for the two months of usage and had asked the service provider for termination of services for these numbers since I was relocating to Bangalore. However, after about 6 months, I got a bill for one of the numbers from Tata Tele Services that I had dues on my cell phone and I had to pay a penalty on avoiding which I would be liable to prosecution by law. Since I did not want to go through the hassles of courts, I paid the bill and again disconnected the number for which I had recieved the bill.
Now after 2 years of no communication, an advocate representing Tata tele services has again sent me a notice stating that I have pending dues on both the above mentioned numbers and I need to pay up. I do not even have the reciepts of my payment since this incident was 2 years back and there was no communication whatsoever about any dues all this long. I myself work for a company (TCS) from the Tata group and this kind of money extracting process from innocent customers is totally uncalled for especially when it comes from such a reputed company like Tata. This should be immediately put to stop and there is abosolutely no logic for these kinds of bils out of the blue.
I hope that my grievance is resolved and I hope that it helps in avoiding such incidents for other customers

I have been raised a bill by Tata Indicom for internet usage upto 20th April 2011 inspite of the conncetion being cancelled & submitted to its office on 4th April 2010. The Company executives have been nagging up by repeated telephonic calls since last 15 days to pay the bill urgently - the bill for which I have not used their service at all.

I submitted the instrument on 20-07-2010. I was told that I'd be receiving my PCO securtity depostit fund cheque within six months of depositing the instrument, which I haven't received yet. And since this february, I've contacted the authorities around 50 times but I've got only excuses.

My phone number of tata indicom connection is [protected]. After recharging a heavy amount is directly cut from the account. Really i phoned to customer care but there is no solution from them. I also called to mangalore office but they are not atall responsive. I think this is only happening with TATA company. They are making the people fool. This is one type of business strategy. They are making money by making the customers fool. Can i go to consumer court in this regard?
Kindly suggest what to do.
I am a Tata Photon datacard customer. My account number is [protected]. Along with my bill dated 2 August 2011 I received a pamphlet offering a free Tata Indicom mobile connection. When I went to claim this offer, I was told by Srinivas, the sales officer at the Bangalore Office, that this was an old offer, not valid now. It was only on my insistence that I had received the offer four days ago and it could not be invalid that Suresh, the supervisor, agreed to grant the connection. It took another three visits to finally get the SIM card. I was told that the number would be activated in 24 hours. It has now been 168 hours, the number is still not active. I had opted for the connection due to a good experience with my Tata Photon connection. I was also planning to migrate my Airtel Blackberry connection to Tata Teleservices. However, my terrible experience with this new connection has spoiled my trust in the Tata brand.
TATA INDICOM is the worst service provider. First they promise you with good product and service and once you buy the product, you realise that the service is not good. Either the signal is not available or the call drops and then the mobile gets heated up and shuts down. the worst part is whn you want to disconnect they dont allow you to disconnect . It is eitheryou have to contact some obscure office which you cannot trace and when you mamage to go there, they dont accept the cancellation. When it done online, they call back with assurances that the no. has beem cancelled and then the next month you receive the bill again. This is the 3rd time I have tried TATA INDICOM and promise to myself that I will never but any of the product again and also advice others not go for the product.
I want to discontinue my tata indicom number which i bought with handset on installment basis, i was having 2 installments pending and i made the payment for that installments 2days back but they are saying that we didnt get any payment, i have the receipt for the same with me they told me that this payment will be updated within 2 hours and i will get a confirmation call but till now i didn't got any call or not even updated with the payments. Please look after over this aspect because my monthly rentals will not going to stop till the time my number is active.
Sir With due respect I would like to inform you that I have been unnecessarily harassed by tata indicom postpaid. The company has sent me fictitious bill of rs 3382/- for nov 2011 which reflects that I have sent 5152 national sms with my no [protected] amounting to rs 2589.50 .This is completely wrong as I had not sent these sms . i had not send even 100 messages monthly . There are 2 connections running on ac no.[protected] since dec 2006. The numbers are [protected] and [protected] respectively. I am an innocent customer of your company since dec 2006 I have always been paying my bills regularly . Average bill of mine is rs 600/- for the past 5+ years. I have been unnecessarily harassed . Kindly look into the matter and give a solution at the earliest. I have already lodged complaint with customer care with complaint no.[protected]. I have also lodged my complaint with tata nodal officer and appellete authority.

I had taken Tata Indicom internet connection. Their representative came to our place to take address proof and he had told us that after verification of documents the connection would get initiated, after three days it got active.
Then one day suddenly it got disconnected, when inquired they said, they could not verify the address. Fine I said how they can, they said our representative would come to your place, only Mon-Fri office hours, fine I took a day off. I was assured by their Bangalore manager who sits on following number +[protected]. I took off and started following up intially this guy said yeah our person would come, now they have in fact switched off the phone. When I call the call canter from last 3 days they are giving same answer, our systems are down we can't fetch your details. Now they have replied to my complaint mail, that I should go to their office to submit my documents.
My complaint is why should I go, have they eaten my documents ? Why they cash the check before doing the verification ? Why they, at first place, started the connection when things were not verified. My id is [protected].
I am surprised by negligent and lethargic nature of this company's people. I do not know whom to call as individuals from TATA have turned out to be liars and Call center itself is in mess.

This is to bring attention to everyone regarding the poor network services ( tata indicom docomo ) not only connectivity when i contacted customer care team they are also rude, plcaed call on hold for 20 min.without informing.Being a customer i had no other option to hold the line and finally transfered the call to different dept. and finally agent disconnected the call.when shared the issue with their customer care team the response was again rude - " transferred the call to Senior desk as requested by you to transfer call to senior so no wrong transfer found & also no wrong information provided by the our agent in the call, as duration of the call is approx 19 min & your call was not on hold but was on transfer as it will take time to transfer call to senior "

TATA indicom SUCKS!...i regret ever having approached tata indicom for a USB connection for my co. manager. Though i asked for the duration it would take to send in the box and hte registration, the customer service dpt. i don't think understands any of the languages spoken firstly. They stated that it would be done in 24-48hrs at the max. On asking them what documents were required since he was an EXPAt and not an indian, assuming that documents would be required. they stated on only id proof of the individual and a residence proof of hte same. I got all the doucments ready along with the cash. Promptly the very next day after the call. a sales Exec. by the name of Mr. GK Kulkarni of the SHivajinagar office called and came to collect the money and the doucments. i Furnished the same along iwth a company letter since he informed me that the residence proof wasn't going to be enough. After waiting back and giving all documents he stated that hte connection would be witht he customer the very next day. Unfortunatlythat was a BIG LIE. He firstly insisted on taking the money without giving a receipt stating that it was hte way of the system at the office. Very reluctantly we gave him the entire amt without getting receipt thus trusting that he would stick to his word, by giving us the connection immediately. It has been 4 days and there is no connection. Several phone calls to the sales agetn and the head office has caused alot of distress to the client. THE WORD URGENCY SHOULD BE UNDERSTOOD FIRSTLY BY ALL TATA INDICOM AGENTS. SECONDLY...All sales agents and cusotmer service agents should be able to explain over hte phone what the entire procedure for securing a connection is, and be honest about how long it would take to get a connection. I think tata indicom really needs to pull up their agents and train their cusotmerservice agents to be prompt and accurate in their dealings. All sales agents should be provided with receipt books if they're taking the money from cusotmers. TATA INDICOM REALLY NEEDS TO PULL UP THEIR SLEEVES AND WORK BETTER or else they will be known as the WORST provider in business. I HOPE this is never repeated again, I know i wouldn't recommend it to anyone for all the problem that has been caused to me and my client.
This is regarding the worst services offered by tata indicom and based on this i will proceed legally.
As i had applied for the Tata Indicom Broadband internet connection on 10-06-2007 with the marketing executive named Mr. Shivaram ( Film nagar area - jubilee hills ), filled the application and gave the cheque for 3146 rupees. He told me that the internet will get connected with in 3 days and broke the promise, now i had waited for 16 days following his requests but at last he is telling that it will take some more time and he is not sure about the time also. His superiors are not interested to talk with the clients according to his words... So whom should i go for and where should i complain, if i was not able to get internet with in 2 days, i will proceed legally and file a case against tata indicom.

I have face really really very bad experience. when calling customer care at 121 or 1515, then customer is treated as Dog, no where what type of customer he is.
I was not given waver for Rs. 300.
Tata indicom has rights to barraged the outgoing of the cust. as of no use and if the cust. calls from other mobile he is not provided the waver.
I am very frustrated from the services of the Tata Indicom.
It is hell like anything and also people in tata indicom like Amit who is in customer care in Okhla office do not supports and ginish parb in mohali as supervisor is good for nothing.
Now I am deciding to move to the court and to raise this issue.

I am a subscriber to TATA postpaid connection with tel. no. [protected]. The connection was taken some 5 months back.. While taking connection, TATA people gave a refurbished set (in place of a new white 350T as demanded by me) with a request that as there was shortage of sets presently, the same would be replaced by a new set very soon. I believed them and took the connection and I did not worry because the set was working. However, within a month's time the set got defective with a typical hanging problem. On complaint, it was replaced again by a refurbished set. That set again gave problem related to malfunctioning of a switch and on complaint, it was also replaced again by a refurbished set. Similar thing happened four times and today it is the fifth set with me within a span of five months. Every time when the problem is faced of one or other type, the service remains affected for two - three days. The present set goes OFF very frequently sometimes without even being used for one hour.
In such scenario, this time I have insisted your people to give a new set only. But they have not done so. As the service is fully unsatisfactory, I have not paid my dues with a request to stop subscription, but TATA people at Katni have not agreed to even take the application. The service is presently suspended due to non of my faults. In such situation, I am being forced to seek legal and other helps. Though, I have informed the problem of such frequent trouble by your people at 121 but nothing has come out except assurance.

This is to let you know that I am a very frustrated customer of yours..I had got a connection last year in November #[protected]. It was a Sungill limited addition connection wortj Rs.3000.
I was excited to be a part of Tata Indicom but my dream was shattered. Unfortunately, the set was faulty. I registered complaint, went o CP office, Office at Rampura (sungill repair center) but all in vein. Lastly, in June, 2006 my appeal was listened and instrument changed BUT, not for what I paid I got ACCESSTEL -800 which was available for Rs. 800 only that time...
Till date so many complaints so many talks so many dates given to me so many excuses but NO RESOLUTION finally I got that connection deactivated.
THE IRONY
During the above talk every told me that no new handset is in stock that is the reason we will not be able to give you.
Just to try I applied for a new connect [protected] got the NEW SHINY LG 350 T model...WOW! but again, it was totally dead on the Second day of charging. I again registered complaint got my handset replaced but with a repaired old set of some other customer. I deserve to have a new handset since, its a new connection...well i got it disconnected as well...
Shame shame shame nothing else you people deserve.
My SIM is not working and TATA store is also not having new SIM. I have86 Rs. balance in my mobile. When I went TATA store they said they don't have SIM at their store and I need to wait for atleast next week atleast (if available) and they were also asking for additional 50 rupees as they were saying TATA upgraded SIM (from 34 to 64 KB) and I need to pay for that. I paid money once I purchased new SIM. If upgradation is by TATA, then why do I pay and they are asking me to keep my phone off till the time they avail SIM at their store. Need your intervention as it is creating a big problem for me as my phone is switch off. You can contact me on [protected].
