Friday's is a place that my family, friends, business associates and I have relied upon, in the past, for excellent food complimented by excellent customer service. Today that was not the case.
Out with my family, we were seated and soon greeted by our "Server", I believe her name was Shatika or a name close to that (maybe the name on the receipt is her last name).
After introducing herself, she fulfilled our drink orders. We did not see this young lady again until it was time for the Check!
When she finally came to our table to "check on us", I let her know as much. She offered no explanation nor an apology of any sort. She didn't care.
We actually had to flag down another server in order to have one of the drinks replaced (there were visible pieces of white paper floating on the surface of the cola) and still, our Server went to all her other tables ignoring us completely the whole time we ate.
I'm not sure if she thought that she wouldn't get a good enough tip from us and so why not treat us the way she did, or what it was.
Maybe she was having a bad day. I don't know. Point being that this experience has definitely soured us of returning. This was the worse service, lack there of, we have ever experienced and won't soon forget.
We were all offended by her lack of attention.
I will have to share my experience with those that love Fridays as well, within my circle of acquaintances.
Its very discouraging to sit and be ignored and constantly passed over.
As a consumer who frequents this location quite often, I suggest that you employ servers who actually Want to serve, as this was not the case with Shatika.
As a result, we are no longer loyal patrons of this restaurant.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Okay, I see this complaint is from a while ago, but this needs to be brought up so people reading it now, like me, will think of this also.
You say you got your drinks, and then never saw the girl again until you got your check. You claim to have been ignored the whole time you ate. If she never came back, how were you eating any foof?
This reeks of BS.
Unfortunately, the only people who take the time to leave comments or take guest experience monitor surveys are the one who leave pissed off. Obviously, emotion has skewed part or maybe even all of the scenario depicted above. Over the years, I have learned that many tables get jealous if they see a server spending more time at tables other than their own. More often than not, this is because the other guests have a question about nearly every item on the menu, or because they neglect to realize that they are not the only table in the restaurant. I will agree with the author here on the grounds that not every employee at TGI Friday's is the most ditting candidate to be hired. Many people who gain employment at restaurants around the world do not have the necessary skills to perform such tasks on a daily basis. A high sense of urgency, caring, responsibility, and attention to detail need to be genuinely present in every worker both in front and back of house positions (i.e. cooks, and hosts/bussers/servers), but unfortunately employees lacking such skills have become more and more popular in the various TGIF locations at which I have worked.
My mom and I went to T.G.I. Fridays to purchase ourselves some food thursday, June 3, 2010. We ordered through the carryout window and waited 1 hour and 20 minutes we finally received the food. Would you believe we left Fridays without checking the order. When arriving home we settled in to eat, we looked at the food and the chicken was burnt. We specifically requested no burnt and overcooked food and the attendant typed it in on the order menu. Upset, of course we contacted Friday's in Southfield, MI. The attendaant stated the manager was busy and they would have them return our call. We did not receive a phone. We contacted them today Friday, June 4, 2010 and spoke to a manager and she was on the cooking station when they prepared our food. Why would she let some burnt food leave the station and giving to a take out order customer? Very unsatisfied with the service we contacted the corporate office and filed a complaints against their restaurant. Sorry I was unable to upload the photos.
Took my date to TGI Fridays on 9-6-10 hoping for some good food and a couple drinks at a reasonable price, and left still hungry; like I was wondering what I had just paid $83 and change for? I ordered the "Key West" Shrimp dinner, which was nothing but 2 shrimp skewers on a plate. The shrimp was tiny, and covered in some black stuff like charcoal, and was definitely overcooked. It didn't even come with the customary bed of rice. My date ordered the chicken breast sandwich. We both had 2 strawberry daquiris. We asked that they use Bacardi in the daquiris. Our waitress said no problem. We tried ordering dessert, but they claimed that the cheesecake which was advertised was frozen, and couldn't be served. Then they ended up charging us for it, anyway. Our bill came to $83. and change. They decided to charge us nearly $8 per shot (4) in addition to the price of the 4 daquiris, even though we were never told there would be an extra charge. They also charged us for the dessert which we never got, and then refused to credit us the $10 for parking (which we were told by the parking attendant would be reimbursed to us by the restaurant). That was a lie. The service was poor, the quality (and quantity) of the food was poor, and the prices were astronomical! And, then the manager tells us they can't reimburse us for parking. I left this TGI Fridays feeling very unsatisfied and ripped off. I would not want to go back.
Me and my family went to tgi friadys on 8/01/013 and i had to keep on waving down a waitress just to get some water and not only that the food was uncooked and we really didnt get a chance to enojoy it. We just left the food sitting there and still gave the little poor waitress a tip... Omg

TGIFriday's store # 0067
I had no issues or complaints until I was ready to leave.
When the waitress came over with my check, I advised her that there was
something on there that I did not order nor received. She snatched my check out
of my hands and told me she will just take it off. I was so shocked. When she
came back to the table, I asked her why would she snatched something so rudely
from someone's hands. She then told me if she did snatch it, she didn't mean
to. She tried to walk away and I told her to get the manager. When the manager,
Jessica, came over, she was just as rude. She then told me I will not speak
about her employee in any negative way. I told her I would call corporate and
the manager advised me she too would call corporate and let them know I would
be calling. I paid for my meal and left the establishment. It was the most
humiliating experience I have ever had to deal with.
I would like an apology from the Manager, Jessica and the
waitress, Jackie. I would also like my money back. I would prefer they both be
fired for public humiliating me and my family. It was uncalled for.
I call TGI Friday in Rockville centre several times to place orders and every time I've been
Put on hold. The keep bouncing me around from one sales person to the next and they would take up to 20 minutes before I can place my order. So last thurs when I call to Order
Some burgers for my kids. I went through 3 sales person at that point I've had it with them and I ask the fourth salesperson for the manager after waiting 10 minutes on the phone and no one came I hang up. My family and I will never go to Rockville centre TGI to eat again.
Poor customer service.
I am a 60 year old matron and Warren county Virginia business owner who went to Fridays with her husband for a nice dinner. I ordered a house Chardonnay and got a glass of something barely palatable. Dinner was acceptable but mundane. When our bill came my 'house chardonnay' cost $13.50. I asked for the manager (Paul Phillips) who said I had ordered " a nice glass of wine" When I repudiated this statement he said "you drank it, didn't you?" He refused to reduce the bill. When I objected he told the waitress to call the police.
So me my sister in her friend just left tgif in mileina plaza first we was seated nobody came to take drink orders, so we had to stop an employe that was coming in to bring us some drinks he did .the glasses had rings in the inside looked like from another drink being sat in it to long i asked the lady could i please get a clean glass of ice water with lemon she walked away in was like omgg in she said at out loud where we can here her so we left there was no way i was going to let miss attiude serve us food or drinks
I enter to win a burger from the TV this guy needed 500, 000 people to sign on to get a free burger i did that. You see after that i registered and got a free appetizer plus my stripes. Well it was hell waiting for the coupon with no printer and being Columbus Day its Sunday schedule on the bus. We'll i walked in wearing my clothes some pro Keds stupid fruity colors shoes, roccer wear jean shorts, no name shirt, and a Roccer wear hat. the host automatically from the jumped he was rude ; So i asked about the coupon and he stated in informal tone, (what to go)? What? i was embarrassed there and then i brushed it off you know I'm just trying to get my burger.
I asked the man i believe Mitchel or something like that, He brought Eric or the manager( Now that right there, had my head spinning) the is going on. Now remember i was here for a free burger and got chipped at, for their, stupid promotion anyway! so the manager spoke like not for a intern position but like who is this raga muffin, in front of me, right I 'm super embarrassed right here my cheeks are fire red and woe I'm black you could see the red.
So he calls his self patting me on the shoulder walking away like he won this. Then i looked around everyone siting looking, So i called the manager back. Bye the way the host told me he didn't know the meal was a to go meal, ### you asked if i wanted it to go. Back to the story the manager arrived and i talked to him like, A sir i just came for a sandwich and to speak to the manager or get snapped at rudely, that's no t how i though it would be i could imagine the burger dripping with me in a booth asking for water. But i did gut i suvineer a bag to go i got pictures it's not TGI frig=day bag its a thank you bag.
dude, this is the stupidest complaint on the site. AND... why is it under deadbeat parents?
"the way you don't servie a cutomer" Seriously? That's your title? This complaint doesn't even make sense.
The complaint need not be posted. The problem has to be corrected. We’ve been long time customers of Friday’s so this isn’t the first time we had a problem. Over the years we overlooked random issues. But, this will be the last. We had dinner in the Boynton Beach store. The service was outstanding but that’s where it ended. I am currently sitting at TGI Friday’s. The hostess who seated us today was nice enough, but she was very inappropriately dressed. Her skirt was very tight and very short…way too short to have a slit in the back, yet it did.
If the slit had been any higher we would have seen everything. I am upset at the complete lack of unprofessionalism shown by the fact that the young lady was permitted to dress in such a manner. I have lost my appetite and will not be back to this location if this is acceptable.
1. The beers were flat but we were offered replacements.
2. The burgers were dried and cool. Not freshly made.
3. The fries were the same as #2.
4. Though the store probably passed State Inspections, is looked old and badly needed refreshing.
5. Not the Friday’s we had come to respect and enjoy. There’s too much competition to waste time and money in trying to be loyal Friday customers.
In your opening sentence you state that "The complaint need not be posted." Then you post the complaint?
TONIGHT, MY WIFE AND I DICIDED TO GO OUT TO EAT AND TGIFRIDAYS RESTAURAUNT. WE BEING CATHOLIC
AND IT BEING LENT.-, WE ORDERED THE FISH AND CHIPS. WHEN THE SERVER DELIVERED THE FOOD, I WAS
SHOCKED WITH I SAW. I LOOKED AT MY WIFE AND SAID, "DID WE ORDER OF CHILDRENS MENU".. IN OUR PLATES
WERE SIX LITTLE FISHEEEEEES(SOMETHING LIKE YOU CAN PICK UP AT A LOCAL GROCERY STORE IN THE FROZEN
FOOD SECTION) AND SOME FF. DON'T GET ME WRONG, I"M NOT COMPLAINING AB OUT THE QUANTITY. LAST
WEEK I HAD THE FISH AND CHIP AT APPLEBEES AND I THOUGHT IT WAS EXCELLANT AND IT CAME WITH
COLE SLAW. I GUESS NOT TO MANY CATHOLICS GO TO TGIFRIDAYS FOR FISH AND CHIP.
Went in to tgi fridays Carlsbad on a Friday Nite, and even though there were only 8 customers including my party, we had to wait over a half hour for service. Did I forget to mention that there were 12 waiters and 3 bartender girls, all flirting and giggling with each other. I tried to flag over half of them down and they acknowledged seeing us but waived us off.
Finally got a waiter who apologized for the slow service but then the drinks took 15 minutes to come and were weak. The food took over a half hour more to come and was not good.
The staff still had time to flirt and giggle over by the bussing stations and the registers. They didnt care at all about the customers.
Company offered me food vouchers as an apology for the bad service. I had to emai them three times to remond them and when I finally got the vouchers they were desert coupons, redeemable if I bought a full meal. Screw you Fridays!
I agree with Tasha, I don't know why men think it is okay to call women over 18 and refer to them as "girls". Also you got free dessert vouchers, what else do you want. Though the service was slow you paid for your meal. Sounds to me like you were hoping for a free meal. You got free dessert, they did something to correct their poor service, but sounds to me like nothing would be good enough for you.
No different then the east coast managed TGIF's sadly.
47 Broadway, NY. Do not eat here. They served me appetizers that taste like freezer burn. My salad was wilted and the chicken tasted like old oil. I had to return the food and paid only for the soda. No way was I going to eat food that would get me sick. I've always loved TGIF. But this location should be closed down or get rid of the manager.
