Today, about 4:30 I was in your Baton Rouge store. I stood in line to be checked out behind 6 or 7 other individuals. There was 3 males and 2 females behind the check out counter assisting customers. When it was my turn to be called, both females looked directly at me then turned and started walking up and down behind the registers trying to look busy. Then one of the males decided that he would do the same thing. There was a second male at the end of the check out line also "busy" The two females began to gather a trash bag to put the trash out. Still letting your customer stand in line and wait. After some time and several direct eye contacts with me and still not being called to pay for my merchandise, I calmly walked to register 4 where one of the ladies had walked off and laid my stuff down on the counter and walked out the door. I think I'll stay away for a while, in fact, I think I will return some merchandise I bought there yesterday and go someplace else with my business. I guess your customers are not as important as your trash.
I plan to continue to research and find Mr. Herrman's email address as well as the addresses to some of the Board of Directors... if I can't then I plan to send certified letters. That's how important this is to me... the question is, "How important is this to TJ Maxx?"

I ordered an item from TJ Maxx online (which is the same store as TJ Maxx in store?) and the manager Shannon at the Whitestown, IN store was extremely disrespectful and told us we were not allowed to return the item as it was the shipper’s problem. She isolated us in front of the entire store with her negative commentary and ridicule. I will never shop at this store again, nor will I likely ever shop on TJ Maxx online. She continued to question why we ordered this item, why we were returning it to her store and why I didn’t ship it back on my own.

Please train your store agents to understand black doesnt equal thief. I personally go to tjmaxx for the finds, its not a grocery store and hence I dont go with a list. I went to the store in Aurora Co yesterday (11/22/23) and was followed by the security until i got feed up and almost cursed him out. This has happened to other black people as well. The Lakewood co store is also the same.
Can black people shop in peace since tjmaxx does reject dollars used by black people? The stereotyping is too much.

Yesterday morning as the store was opening. We went in and bought a pair of shoes. As we was leaving the store through the check-out. The lady gathered our bag to hand it to us. When I reached for the bag, I accidentally touched the lady. I was so offended by her actions of wiping it off right there. I know with COVID and stuff, people need to be careful. 9/18/2023 between 4:30 and 5:00 pm
I was downstairs shopping at the store and got back in line to make additional purchases of needed items. When I went to get back in line, there was a long line and I decided to go upstairs to check out my purchases. On the 2nd floor, I went to the counter in handbags and accessories. I was pleased with my purchases and feeling good. When I placed my items down on the counter, near the cash register, the cashier was at the other end of the counter talking with a co-worker that I recognized from downstairs. I waited to be served.
The cashier ordered me to put the items down on her side in an extremely unpleasant voice. I was momentarily stunned by her behavior and visibly shaken. She repeated her order in a loud voice and I told her that I heard her but had to pace myself. The co-worker observed the entire situation. I’m 80+ and suffer from _______ and ___________. The cashier stared at me belligerently as I attempted to move my items. At this point I felt threatened by the cashier’s body language. The cashier literally grinned and laughed in my face.
I started taking deep breaths to try and calm down and told them they really don’t know how causing a panic attack can negatively affect a person’s medical condition. I requested to speak to a manager as the cashier continued to ‘stare me down.’ The co-worker went back downstairs and shortly after a young woman came upstairs, tapped me on the shoulder and told me to calm down after observing my physical condition and reaction to the ongoing threatening behaviors.She said there was no manager available at the moment and I needed to come back tomorrow. I then asked her to file an incident report and she paused and didn’t answer. The co-worked told her I could write down my complaint and she shoved a piece of notebook paper in front of me.
I attempted to write down my report and became overwhelmed and weakened by the situation. I could only write down one word and still have the note paper. The young woman went back downstairs and I asked someone to call an ambulance, as my condition worsened. I called DC Fire and Rescue myself.
Finally, as I waited for the ambulance, the 2nd female employee from downstairs checked out my purchased items. The ambulance rushed me to GW hospital emergency room and I was treated for aphasia and left-sided facial droops. This is truly one of the worst experiences of my life!
Desired outcome: I am requesting an apology, corrective and punitive measures, if merited, and fair monetary compensation for my pain and suffering.

Hello tj maxx. I have been shopping with you for over 25 years.
I have a tj maxx credit card.
I was in boston ma.Washington street store and made a purchase of over $300.00 on 10-19-2023, all items were runway red tag sale (no receipt?) all i wanted was to move the charge off my husband's non-tj maxx and onto my tj maxx card. .
At that time i did not have my card on me, so we paid through my husbands card.
Went back in the next day 10-20-2023 and no way was your store manager capable of locating my transaction from the day before let alone permit me to transfer my balance over to my rewards card.
Why is this so difficult? i missed out on over $300.00 of rewards points and discontinued my shopping spree. The store manager told me there was no way without a receipt that he could find the transaction let alone permit it to be put on my card. All i wanted was to do that and continue to shop.
I did purchase a few items; however, i left the store extremely put off and disappointed.
Please explain to me if the store gave me no receipt...And i remember pressing "print only". I went to the store the next business day with the merchandise with the tags on them, not wanting to return anything?

I had an extremely unpleasant experience at the following store number: 81375
I bought a storage container and when I got home immediately noticed it was crack and brought it back for an exchange the same day.
An African American woman named according to her Bran working on 10/8/23 at 2:17 pm rudely interrupted my transaction to tell me that she couldn’t return it because I hadn’t been broken when I left. She didn’t handle my first transaction nor I had I ever seen or spoken to her before. But she proceeded to call me dishonest over something I simply hadn’t noticed. I was not asking for a refund but simply an exchange as I needed the item.
I shop here all the time and she was so rude and unprofessional that even the sales girl apologized for her behavior. But the sticking point for me was her calling me a dishonest person. Even if she said, the policy was to not accept returns it would have been handled better. I have never been treated so poorly in a store publicly. She eventually let the sales professional handle it but it was extremely unpleasant.

I was at TJ Maxx Framingham location. My husband was at the billing counter and my 15 month old was walking around the doors. He realized that the door opens and closes on itself so he started to go from one and came out from another. Given that he's only 15 month old, it a new discovery for him. I let him do this couple of times and this was all while my husband was at the checkout counter. A very rude employee came to me and she said " we cannot have them do this " it's not what she said but it's the way she said it. She was not wrong at her place but she was very very rude. Like dude, I am shopping at your store not like I am just hanging out by the door and letting my son go rouge. When I entered again after this one of the employee made their faces. I just walked out. It was such a bad customer experience.
Management
I’m an employee at TJ Maxx, store 0690, and I, as well as fellow coworkers, have been having problems with one of the management staff.
I recently got injured in a car accident and am currently a senior in high school but was scheduled everyday with 6 hour shifts and was told I had to ring and was not allowed in any other department.
Said manager takes our snacks out of the break room if we do not get at least 6 cards the day before.
Said manager takes badly of other mangers to me and other coworkers. Also, they talk badly of previous managers before they came to work for our store.
Since said manager has been hired we’ve lost 3/4 of our staff and every new hire we get roughly three people leave. A lot of new hires leave after roughly 1 month due to said manager.
I understand part of my job is to get rewards cards, and I have no problem with that. Said manager had made such a big deal out of me and fellow coworkers getting these cards that she takes our snacks, has us go to break very late, and will even threaten jobs, if you do not get a card that day.
My job has been threatened by said manager on several occasions. I’ve been told that if I do not get a card every hour that I am working I will lose my position and they will hire someone who can do the work “I am apparently incapable of.”
Back to my injury. As I said before, I have an injury and so it limits what work I’m able to do. I got a doctors not telling me I need to cute back work hours and focus on healing. Said manager demanded a note from my school and mother as well, telling me the doctors note was not enough. When I told her that the rest of the week I was not able to come to work due to doctors orders she did not take me of the schedule, stating “You came to work today, I don’t understand why you can’t come the rest of the week. Your arms seems to be fine to me.” Mind you, I have a sling on my arm. I dislocated my shoulder. So the work I can do is very limited.
A lot of my fellow coworkers have been having problems with said manager as well. With things such as: scheduling, RTO’s, and family emergencies. No one was brave enough to come forward so they asked me to. I’m a very outspoken person and do not think the way me and my fellow coworkers have been treated us even remotely right. Im not sure what can be done but if it does not change I will need to find a new job.
Desired outcome: I’d appreciate a response and would like to be given the hours my doctor has signed off. I would like said manager to understand that I’m a high school student and can not work crazy hours.
I completely agree with Jatarra because I also work at the store 0690. There is some many things that this managers shouldn’t be doing. If we don’t get one card we get threaten and if we get two cards we still get the same thing. We aren’t “good enough” and “we don’t try enough” is enough! We all understand that we need rewards but having our snacks taken away and our job threaten is not Okay! We have sadly lost almost all of our staff that’s been here for years! She expects us to drop everything that’s going on to be at work even if there were emergencies and injuries as jatarra had mentioned about hers to be at work! They won’t even work with our availability they work around it and expects us to make it work when we CANT!
Cashier
Today, August 14th, I was in the Plymouth, MA store. I found a pair of Sperry woman’s shoes on a clearance table. They were marked 12 dollars. Yellow tag sale. I knew it was a great deal. There was another pair in the table marked 15. The pair I had was marked 12.
When I brought them to the register, the cashier abruptly asked another person behind the counter for a price check. She appeared dubious of the price. I told the other cashier where I had found them. I assumed he would see the difference in price.
When he returned I was informed the shoes were 15. The first cashier asked if I still wanted them. I said yes. I did not say they were marked 12 because Both cashiers made me feel awkward. The second cashier then said under his breath that “she thought she pulled something off”. It was really insulting.
I really like TJ Max and Marshall’s and shop both stores regularly. This was my first negative experience. It was disappointing.

The lady in the Jackson, TN store couldn’t have been and more rude. I ask her if this was the return counter and she said you’ll have to wait I’m signing these receipt papers .Then she ended up doing my return and part of the price/barcode was missing. So she turns to this lady and says she has no receipt and the bar code is scratched off. So she ask the lady to would you make a bar code for this. Then she says I’ll have to make an in store credit SINCE you don’t have receipt . I said that’s fine I’m going to spend it here anyways so rude and I felt like she didn’t appreciate my business at all. Her name was Charlene.
