bad quality of toyota's product
Many people think that Toyota is a good car model. But, I had a bad experience. As a owner of new 2006 Toyota Highlander (hyb_LTD), I had 5 times of incidences of the front windshield dents or crakes caused by flying stones within 3 months. I had contacted Toyota customer service and did not get an appropriate response. Subsequently, I experienced 3 more...

Read full review of Toyotano investigation
This is regarding the EEOC Cleveland Field Offices inability to investigate a claim properly and do the job of actually looking out for people like me that were blatantly discriminated against.
Here's a recap;
I told my employer Bob Fisher I was pregnant in July 06, whereby he told me I was a pain in the neck and that he already took a risk hiring me since I was honest in hiring that the only reason I had a year lapse in employment the previous year was because of cancer and chemo but that I have a free bill of health now.
Then July 12th I gave Mr. Fisher a letter from my doctor stating I was to go on bedrest and that I was a high risk pregnancy. Being after 15 years of marriage and already having an ovary removed the previous year I didn't won't to jeopardize the chance of loosing my possibly only one shot at a kid.
Sure enough in August he told me he no longer needed me in essence letting me go so I told him I was letting the EEOC know of this.
So I sent a letter to the EEOC and they responded they would let me know when they started the investigation...
Then Premier Toyotas owner Bob Fisher retorted that I can come back only with a doctors release to return to work. I concurred letting him know my due date was October 24th.
As everyone knows you go for your two week check-up after the pregnancy in which I did then I sent him the letter from my doctor that I could return to work via fax and I have the confirmation page to prove it.
Premier responded with a certified letter to come in for a meeting to discuss coming back.
Before I could even go to the meeting in November I got a letter from the EEOC that they saw no reason to further the investigation because I never went back for my job.
Not only do I have a letter to go to the meeting but I recorded it on tape to cover my ### little good it did since to this day no one at the EEOC did anything to help.
Coincidentally at this meeting I was not offered my job back or a comparable one or even salary comparable but I was offered a car sales position in which case I had to sell 15 cars a month or I was fired I have never sold anything so how was I expected to do such a position, it was a blatant job offer to get rid of me!
Then I had to go on welfare even though I sent copies of 24 weeks of paystubs with Premier because Premier Toyota only paid in for 15 of those weeks. Being a new dealership gets them off the hook I guess.
Maybe the EEOC thinks they did their job but I feel otherwise so no matter what proof you have it isn't enough if the agency your using doesn't do their job.
I'm too poor to sue Premier but itleast you know my story and will take heed in dealing with the EEOC and Premier Toyota of Amherst.

BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! I took my lexus there for a simple repair (sensor). The guy that checked my car into service told me "Nice Car" they called me at home to tell me that the part would take a couple of days to get. I should have went back and got my car. It took ten days. When I went back to get my car the same guy that said nice car to me ten days earlier, looked at me with a smurk and walked away grinning and shaking his head. I stepped to the service counter and announced that I was there to pick up my Lexus. He handed me the keys and said we brought it to the side of the building. When I offered to pay he said go out and test drive it first (wierd) never had that happen before. I went out and my car wasnt there. I went back in and told him that he was mistaken. He said oh it must be in the back. They sent someone to retrieve it. The guy came back and whispered to the manager and they both left out. 15 minutes later they came in and annouced that they couldnt find my car. they wanted me to call the police, I insisted that they call the police instead. Of course they refused. I called and then went and filed a report and asked to speak with the owner but of course he was busy. I called for 3 days and could not speak with the owner and he wouldnt return my calls. I finally got the owners personal cell phone number from a friend and called him. He was upset that I called his personal number and demanded that I tell him who gave it to me. I refused and we then began to discuss the theft of my lexus. He refused to let me come back up there to show him which employee laughed at me when i came to pick my car up. He refused to pay for my car and told me that I should file it on my insurance. WOW! He then told me that I was being childish when I demanded that he replace or pay for my car. He offered to sell me a new car and after I refused He then told me to never step foot back into his dealership and never to call again and that he would sue me for slander if I told anyone this story! My car was recovered in Cleveland, NO BROKEN GLASS but Stripped to nothing...When my insurance co. called Premier toyota in AMHERST, Oh. to inquire about my car..the service manager responded "which stolen car" WHICH? sounds to me like this has happended before. my Insurance co. gave me a check for the value but I lost $11k in the deal because of the custom stereo, custom wheels, navigation, PS3 and 3 tvs that was in the car. I was depressed for a long time over my car, I bought that Lexus off the show room floor it was a rare Platnum edition. I could not believe how insensitive they were and I will always believe that This was an INSIDE JOB!
bad employer
I was employed at Premier Toyota of Amherst Ohio Feb 06-Aug 06 after. The dealership didn't open till May of that year but I was there before opening with a select few new employees to get it ready for opening. I worked there for over 24 weeks before I found out I was pregnant and it was high risk. I was put on maternity leave by my doctor with a note of...

Worst customer service imaginable. Was asked to make offer on a used Chevy Avalanche. After making a reasonable offer based on other comparable vehicles, the manager comes over and states, "I only wanted to see if this was a real offer, " and not another word. Just walks away. The worthless, pos, obviously needs a lesson in customer service.

inferior quality
A heads up notice. I bought an o9 Camry. My dissatisfaction: when you open the drivers side front door. The piece that runs along the bottom of the open door---This metal piece is too thin. It makes a crumbly, crinkly noise as one gets in and out of the car. So, every time you get in the car you are reminded of inferior qualityThe dealer replaced the fastners, but tthe problem remains exactly the same.
Before you buy a new camry, open the door and press that metal piece. It could make a noise that you will not like..
Camry should do a recall and replace this piece as it is not at all up to Toyota quality. I am amazed that Toyota lets cars go out like this. Where is quality control?
they screwed me on a warranty issue
Right Toyota, of Scottsdale Arizona refused to cover under warranty a transfer case that failed on our '07 FJ on the assertion that it was towed, and therefore it voided the warranty. This, despite the fact that the drive shaft had always been disconnected during towing, and therefore towing could not have caused the transfer case failure. You cannot tow the FJ straight out of the box. You must use a drive shaft disconnect kit. Hundreds are being towed with that same kit, with no problem. We had no problem for over 10, 000 miles of towing! Shame on them!

Just finally opened the updated email about comments by drsysiphus about me prossibly working for Right Toyota, NO YOU ARE WRONG! I service and buy my vehicles there and do actually like them a lot. I get sick of people like your self who will slander a business or person because they won't take responsibility for your mistakes. I hate complainers!
look at other comments by "swinger"...he works for Right Toyota...more evidence of how slimey an operation this is
But did you buy the truck and tire warranty from Right Toyota? No you didn't they don't sell tire warrantys. When I purchases my truck they told me that I could buy one at Discount tire which I did and it covers everything. So why voice your concerns about a dealer who has nothing to do with your issue?. What a ###!
I bought the 06 Tundra with the extended tire warranty. I had a tire go flat and took the truck to my local dealer around 2 PM and had to wait until after 5 PM to get it looked at. They said it had a side wall thorn and would have to be replaced. They didn't have a replacement and told me I would have to bring ti back Monday. They put the spare on and I left about 6:30 PM.
I went back Monday and it took them about 2 hrs to get the tire replaced and the charge was $178.00. I paid and they said I would have to send in for the warranty refund.
I got $75.00 back, spent 5 1/2 hours. I called the tire dealer just up the street from the dealer and they told me the same tire total cost mounted and balanced would cost me $105.00.
I got screwed by Toyota that sold me the truck with a worthless tire warranty. I will not forget how I was screwed next time the time comes for a new truck.
The 6 cyl. truck was advertised to get EPA 22 MPG. Most of the time I get 18 MPG. I got 16 to 17 MPG from my full sized Ford.
It is my understanding that the warranty is only honored at Right Toyota and all other Toyota servicing departments. I don't think Right Toyota is the one to blame here it is the manufactor that honors the warranty and they must have failed you caused the problem therefore voilding the warranty... You complaint should be with Toyota motor sales not the dealer they are just the one who had to deliver the bad news, They didn't make the car Toyota motor sales did so you should complain to them. Another thing is you FJ a 4X4 is so it is says right in the owners manual not to tow it because it will cause this issue. I know this because I own one and read up on this before I towed mine. I think you screwed up and are blaming it on someone else for them to pay for your mistake. Sorry ;) Now I guess you know to read your owners manual, know what you can and can't do and be a responsible owner. I love my FJ and I am going to safe guard it and you should too.
cheating and lying to sell a car
I recently purchased a Used 2005 Toyota Matrix from Findlay Toyota, and I am horribly appalled by the outright lies and misinformation I was given by the salesman. I feel I was bullied into purchasing a car I was not 100% sure I wanted and I was told every lie imaginable to get me to walk back into the dealership to make this purchase after I had originally said no.
I stated what payment terms I was comfortable with and after many rounds back and forth we could not come to an agreement so I left the dealership. Some of my main concerns were not overextending myself with payments I was not comfortable with and making sure I was driving off the lot with a vehicle that had a warranty.
The Salesman would not take no for an answer. He used ploys of lower cost of insurance (which is not true. My insurance is now more expensive since I traded in my Jeep), and extending my payments beyond my comfort zone of 60 months, so that I could afford this vehicle. He continually wanted me to overextend myself into a loan I was not comfortable with. I tried to explain to your salesman that the basis of good credit is being able to make payments and loan terms that do not overburden an individual. He would hear none of this and continued his barrage of reasons why I should purchase this vehicle.
Finally after I had put my foot down on the price, the salesman began using a new tactic. He knew the warranty had been an issue causing the payments to rise above what I was comfortable with and he knew that I would not purchase a used vehicle without a warranty. When I asked him originally about the remainder of the factory warranty, he assured me that the vehicle I was considering purchasing was still covered by at least a year of its original 36000 mile warranty.
The 3 year or 36000 mile term was blurred into just a 36000 mile warranty and he used the fact that the vehicle had only 26000 miles on it as his measuring stick. He told me I would still have 1 year or 10000 miles before the factory warranty expired. He told me of the reliability of Toyotas and if I really felt I needed an extended warranty, I could wait out the end of that warranty and purchase a Toyota extended warranty in a year when the 36000 mile warranty expired.
His last assurance and a deliberate lie about the warranty was the only reason I came back to the dealership. I did not want to overextend myself into a loan and if the salesman was correct I would be able to purchase a Toyota extended warranty down the road when my original expired, leaving me with the ability to purchase the vehicle that night with the payment terms I was comfortable with.
I was to find out this was all a lie after 2 hours of waiting at the dealership.
I asked the salesman what paperwork I would need to bring to the dealership to begin the finance process. He told me I wouldn't need to bring anything (this is an obvious lie as no one can ever get financing without proof of employment, bank statements, etc..). Another example of bold face lying and misinformation from the salesman.
As stated, I was made to wait at least 2 hours after arriving at the dealership before I was even seen by the finance department. I was introduced to the finance manager and he was the one to deliver the bad news about the warranty. Not only was the car out of its original factory 3yr/36000 mile warranty, but the Toyota extended warranty that the salesman assured me could be purchased anytime, was not a Toyota warranty at all. If I did not purchase a warranty that night, the car would be driven off the lot with no warranty. I did have the option of an after market warranty, but tge finance manager assured me that it would be a waste as it does not cover the same items that Toyota warranty would cover and I would be paying more out of pocket.
It was unclear if I was now being swindled by the finance manager too, but the fact was this car was not warranted as promised by the salesman. After all the paperwork was signed I was taken to the vehicle and sent home to await financing approval. The vehicle wasn't even filled with gas and the antenna wasn't on or in the vehicle at all. the salesman gave me a courtesy call a day later and when I informed him of this he told me the antenna must have been stolen and I could purchase another one from Findlay Toyota if I needed it.
I cant believe after all the lies and trickery, I am expected to purchase a part that should have been on the car the moment I drove it away. I wasn't even given a full tank of gas to go home in.
I am so unbelievably disappointed with my overall experience with Findlay Toyota. I feel I was bullied into purchasing this car and, the salesman used lies and trickery to get me to come back in after I had originally decided it was a bad Idea.
We will never do any business with this findlay auto group - bate ant switch rude sarcastic and confrontational if you do not buy there crap --- keep away from this find, ay auto group.
false statement by salesmen
On 06/13/2008, i went in to see a 2007 Toyota Camry SE. I was told it was fully loaded including a GPS, blue tooth, Jbl ound system. I loved the car but we could not work a deal on that day. I was called to come back at 9pm on 06/16/2008. I did not get to see the car since i seen and driven it already the previous date i was there. I signed paperwork, cosmetically as is. Sales person told me the car was beautiful and about all the neat features. Well i get home. The next day i try to use the navigation system and it is nonfunctional. There is a crack on the windshield and then we find out the sound system has been completely redone and the buttons on the steering wheel do not work. Also the navigation is after marker and not a TOYOTA STOCK as described and written down. Obviously when later i asked about this paper, they say this paper was not a legal binding paper and not in the deal. Well i went back on 06/18 to complain and i was told that the car was sold as is. This is supposed to be a certified toyota under warranty. The speakers did not work and were switched by prior owner. The ones on there do not work. Also when listening to normal radio, the signal goes in and out. I believe i was sold a used car under a bunch of lies. I was promised something and they did not deliver what was promised. I am now stuck with a $23k car that have electrical issues and the airbag on the side is showing and also a cracked windshield which i did not notice due to the nighttime in which i bought the car. Also it seems the car's whole dash was redone and everything was switched out. Nothing that would normally come with a stock toyota was there.
I only found out today I was dooped out of $2, 500 Dollars towards an extended warranty I purchased when I Purchased a new Toyota Matrix. I went back to the dealership & asked to have the $2.500 removed from the invoice because I did not want to pay finance charges on the extended warrany. So I paid an additional 2675 using my Discover Card. I called today to cancel the extended warranty & was informed that it was on the invoice & the lein holder would be notified. Toyota is an excellent car however the dealerships are fraudulent in ripping off the consumer. I will further pursue this matter.
I also went to the same dealership. They tried to sell me at Cabin Air filter for a 2001 Toyota Corolla. Even though it was not till 2003 that Toyota started putting Cabin Air filters in the Corolla.
mishandling & manipulation
On 27th May I finally delivered my car for body repair (change of rear bumper; rear part of exhaust pipe & repair a minor damage in the body). I was told that it need 7 working days. Today is 14th of June & my car is still lying in their workshop without repair & GOD knows when this suffering will conclude. This has cost me a great deal of money & anger in addition to great change in family plans.
These people are far from being honest or caring!
My new Camry 2008 J-68735) was banged from behind by a minibus when I was standing for a red signal! It went for repairs on 25th August 2008. There was very poor customer service offerred by AL futtaim bodyshop in Rashidiya, with no follow-ups to intimate me about the whereabouts of my car. Their bodyshop tel no 2856406/2855054 are funny as well as irritating to call. No body ever picks up.
After a whole 2 months and 10 days I got a call that my car was ready in the bodyshop. I went a couple od days later to pick it up only to find that it was not washed. The inside was full of dirt and the white body had very tiny brown spots, which I was told "will go in the car wash". When I took my car to the car wash I was adviced to send the car for rubbing and polishing which cost me AED 600/-. I called Al futtaim body shop to seek an explanation as to why the vehicle was mis-handeled and I was assured that the Bodyshop manager would return my call. I have no response till date. I have alreay sufferred a loss of AED 5000/- for renting a car for 2 1/2 months till the car was in the bodyshop.
I have only concluded that Al futtaim motors has lots of "big" businness and clients and they don't care for single-car owners like us. Their staffs have become thick-skinned and shameless and do not heed to any sort of complaint made against them.
If Al futtaim motors are incapable of handling the large amount of Toyota cars in UAE, they should end their monopoly in the market and allow other groups to handle the low budget cars. I hope Abdullah Hamad Al Futtaim and Omar Al Futtaim are listening!
On 27th Aug 08 I have finally delivered my car for body repair (change of front bumper & repair the accident minor damage in the front body). I was told that it need 14 working days. The service advisor said if it completes earlier they will call me and inform. i have been calling constantly to find the status but to the vain no one give proper answer. the sarvice advisor Pereira gave me his cell no [protected] to check . i have called him several times but he never pick up the line.Today is 11th of Sept & my car is still lying in their workshop GOD knows what is the status. This has cost me a great deal of money & anger in addition to great change in family plans.

fraudulent dealership
My daughter was buying a Corolla for $21000 and was told that she was approved for $0 down 2.9% for 60 months. She has a credit rating in the mid 700's with a 2% debt ratio. She had all of the papers signed and was taking delivery the next day since she was told that the vehicle had just rolled off the truck and was not checked in yet.
She shows up to the dealer the next day to pick up the vehicle and is then told that she isn't approved and she needs to give them $6700. How can you be approved one minute and then told the next day your not after all of the papers are signed; especially with financials like hers and she makes $30K a year with a government entity.
I told the finance manager that first the whole deal was just fraudulent and that a $6700 down on a $21K vehicle was beyond reproach. I also asked him since she had not taken delivery on the vehicle and she was still willing to agree to the terms she signed. Who at the dealership was going to honour the contract that he signed obligating the dealership to the same terms.
I would love to have an attorney explain "failure to perform" to him alone with the arbitration agreement that my daughter signed. Some things aren't worth fighting about since there is more than one Toyota dealer in Vegas. I do know that Desert Toyota won't be getting any of the family’s business ever again.

hostile manager
Manager John Angelo is very rude. He yelled at me and made a scene out of my own expense. We were asking for the down payment my sister made in the morning since we decided not to buy the car after seeing all the added costs they wrote on the financing papers. Moreover, I didn't like how they don't have the car yet and insisted that the MSRP is the price we pay. The manager was very hostile and started yelling at me out of nowhere. He made accusations and threatened to call the police to escort me if I don't leave in 2mins. What a jerk! My sister has to wait until Monday before she gets here $5K, of which $3K was paid in cash. "Nobody is here to open the safe, accounting went home already." What a load of cr*p. Do they put in their pockets then whatever money the customers give them "after their accountant has gone home?"
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
John Angelo and his minions have been making harassing and prank phone calls to my home for over 1 1/2 years. The Little Falls PD have spoken to them about it. I've turned them in to the FTC and have been keeping records of the calls. My husband and I have spoken to John Angelo directly and he is determined to push us to file harassment charge..so John, you got your wish. The Little Falls PD will be in touch with you soon.
I have dealt with Toyota Universe and what you hear about this shop is entirely true. They are all about the car sale scam and don't care one bit about what's right. They will say anything to steal your money. Just drive by this dealer.
Unauthorized credit check
I was informed by a Credit Card Company that I was denied credit because there was one too many inquiries made on my credit history I later found out from TransUnion that Toyota South had made an inquiry on 03/28/2008, and this was unknown to me and without my permission. I had received a flier from the Company that I had won a prize. When I visited I wa...

I agreed on a price for a new car with the salesman at Lustine Toyota, provided a deposit, and received a vin by email 2 days later.
The morning the car was delivered from the port several days later, the salesman called me and emailed me that the car was in and that it would be detailed to pick up that day. I agreed to come in that evening to pick it up.
Before I got there, Lustine management sold the car to someone else that I was told agreed to pay near MSRP. I think I know a contract when I see it. Based on this case and others I have seen here and on other posting internet sites, Lustine Toyota does not consistently recognize or honor agreements that are legal contracts and moral obligations.

It is unbelievable how openly dishonest this dealership is. do not buy your car here!

Read full review of Toyota and 60 commentsfree tank of gas scam
After I contacted the dealership on a Monday for a Honda Ridgeline, their phone rep Joaquin (Wakeem) called me EVERY DAY when I agreed to come on Thursday of that week. Wednesday's phone call was to tell me they have a special offer. Everyone that goes on a test drive gets a free tank of gas. I show up 2 hrs after talking to Wakeem (drove 1hr 20 min, they knew this). The car was sold! Then the sales guy (not Wakeem) says Wakeem isn't even a salesman and he's never heard of that promotion. I did see the car driven away by a family, but the dealership was reluctant to prove that it was sold. The sales guy never even told me his name. Obviously I was going to buy the truck if I drove that far w/ my 5 mo. pregnant wife and 3 years old. This ### wouldn't even tell me the interest rates when I told him we have tier I credit. STAY AWAY FROM ROUTE 22 TOYOTA, ROUTE 22 HONDA AS WELL THEY ARE OWNED BY THE SAME COMPANY.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Listen Route 22 Toyota, Route 22 Honda anything Route 22 is owned by the same company. They are crooks and feed off of desperate people. I went in to purchase a used vehcile (Izuzu Rodeo) Look at the car, the sales person could not get it started. He asked for help, they brought the jumper out to jump start the battery, turns out the alarm system has shut down the car. After the papers was signed, I waited 3 hours to get the vehicle ready and I was wondering why it's taking so long. Turns out the took out the alarm system and if I want it to be installed it would cost me an addition $200! Charging me for a sytem that was aready in the car.
A lot of people asked me if they should go to Route 22 aparantly they have been advertising, told them never to step foot into that place and I hope they get closed down due to the economy and everyone of them gets laid off! Hehe
OK, let me guess this straight. You see the car driven away and that's not proof enough. Why didn't you offer a deposit to hold the car over the phone? Don't you think they want to sell the car? I wouldn't tell you the customers name either with all the privacy laws and Do Not Call laws.
And you say Joaquin is a phone rep in your first sentence but yet you are surprised he is not a salesman. I would bet you got a rookie salesperson because in most stores if you ask for a manager they will know more about what is going on and go out of their way to help.
As far as the rate goes, did you ask one of the business managers because they could tell you.
And there is no reason to call the guy a ###. He's just trying to earn a living.
customer harrassment
We ordered a vehicle thru the USAA buying program which directed us to Fairfield Toyota and had many problems from the
start. First, we did not receive any calls back from the sales rep, but
when finally contacted, the experience was poor from the start, much the opposite to the USAA website that said it was fun and easy. The Sales
rep, Jackson Willingsby was disrepectful and provided little to no customer
service throughout the experience. I provided the sales rep with exact
specifications on my requirements for the sale and was continuously told
"too hard" "you're wrong", etc...not good customer relations...things not heard from a dealership that is in the business of selling vehicles to customers, especially in the current economic climate.
I felt from the start that the entire buying process switched both customer
and sales roles as I was doing most of the work, especially since the price
was pre-negotiated from the start (buying program supposed to make the
process easier).
After purchasing 6 vehicles in the past years, I have never seen or been
treated with such indignity or disrespect as my wife and I experienced by
the Sales Manager, Warren, The General Manager, Robert Armstrong, along
with other sales managers.
We went to the dealership after much prodding to the sales rep to meet our
timing to take off from work and children's schedules to contract and
pickup the vehicle.
Upon arriving at the dealership we waited for over 20 minutes to get the
process started and took the vehicle for a test drive. One of my
requirements was to not have any Fairfield Toyota advertising on the
vehicle and to not install a front license plate frame (as I am an active
duty military member with residency in Pennsylvania which only has 1 rear
plate).
This was not the case and once the dealer removed the front plate frame
there were multiple scratches and 2 holes from the installation.
This is where much of the trouble started. I then asked if it were
possible to buff the scratches and fill the holes with grommets to cover
them. The salesman, Jackson Willingsby then went on ranting about how he
couldn't sell me the car and how demanding I was. Nothing asked for above
was impossible or irrational. We never said we didn't want the vehicle.
We just wanted it as agreed to.
We then asked to speak with the general manager or someone in charge to
resolve the issue. We were escorted inside and sat for 30 minutes until my
wife and I proceeded to the sales manager's office to ask what was going
on?
We were then verbally attacked by all three persons in the room and my wife
was told "we were the rudest couple evert" and when asked why someone
hadn't contacted us in the past 30 minutes, told in a most negative manner
"only 30 minutes" after my wife explained we had to take one of our sons to
a scheduled event.
After speaking with Robert Armstrong via telephone, he told me the only way he could sell me the vehicle was if I told him that I would rip up the Toyota customer service survey or have positive remarks?I called Toyota Headquarters and confirmed this is not and should not be part of the sales discussion by the dealers to the customers.
While speaking on the phone, my wife was brought to tears after this verbal abuse by the Warren. We
then spoke with the general manager on the phone where Warren told him that
the words above were never exchanged.
In the end we left embarrassed, saddened, and disrespected from the
incident.
I would think in the current economy with slumping auto sales that this
particular dealership would tread people at the minimum with dignity,
respect, and in the end good customer service to stay in business and sell
vehicles.
Any help you can provide in getting the word out to fellow citizens on the
sales practices of Fairfield Toyota would be greatly appreciated.
On 3/16/08, I traded my 1999 Toyota Camry to Oldsmobile Alero. While I was in the dealership, they said they found a lender for me from Oregon. Since my credit is very bad and thinking to myself, this dealership is giving me chance. I drove the car off the lot and thinking everything was fine. About a month later, I had a problem with the car. I called the dealership, took it in. What they told me that a diesel gas was put in. I even reported this to my insurance company stated the same matter. How is that possible I told them. Then about 2 weeks later, my car will not start sometimes. The only way it would start if you put in neutral (it's an automatic car) until my car was taken away on 6/1/08 approximately 1:30 A.M. I called the police station to report that my car was taken away. No idea why.
The next day. I called the dealership and admitted that it was them who took the car because no lenders approved me after two months later. On that same day 6/2/08, I went to the dealership with my parents so I can take all of my belongings from the car they took. Per my conversation with one of the Financial Managers, he told me that he called me 13x and mailed certified letter, which is impossible. I told him I ONLY got a call from them 2x, in which I did return their call and left them a voice mail. But no return call and no certified letter. During our conversation, what he said in front of my parents that the check will be cut the next day. I went back the next day, no check was cut. I spoke w/one of the Sales Managers and told me that to call tomorrow and ask for another Sales Manager since he was going to be off that day. He said to call before noon, which I DID.
On 6/4/08, I called the dealership and actually spoke with that Sales Manager and the call was transferred to the Financial Managers. While talking to the Financial Manager to call him back with 30 minutes (12:00 P.M.) During our phone conversation, what he told me to come in the afternoon and the check will be cut. So, after work, I went back to the dealership, the check was not ready. The actually Finance Manager was there but would not faced me. So, I ended up talking to another Financial Managers, what he told that they had an audit that and everyone was busy and he (Financial Manager) was trying to call me... BS. Another excuses there. I told him that I am really tired of the run around, the commute, my time, etc. I also told you guys always it should be ready tomorrow, then tomorrow... During our conversation, what he said and promised that they will have someone or FED EX my check the next day to my work, in which I asked him to do that in writing. And I want to see if this going to happen.
The car that I traded in with got sold.
And to think I was considering working here after I got an email for a walk in interview...lol
I'm about to get my degree so why settle for a dead end job like car salesman anyway...lol
Your complaint was great, and thank you for keeping people like me from making a huge mistake.
Wow. Exact same experience with Toyota of Lewisville, Texas Saturday 4/20/08. Lied to about price, berated, talked to like children, waited for 3 hours for an agreed to price over the phone. Filled out credit application on line but was told they could not retrieve the information and that I refused to give them information when asked. GM said he would call back but did not. Everyone that was involved has lied. The lack of integrity was amazing. My son left in tears and I was shocked. After buying 5 toyotas in the past this was a real eye opener and basically boiled down to them not believing that we would give an excellent rating on the survey. Even the finance manager was in on it. Very shady and unproffessional. After googling information it appears calling corporate will do nothing. Please be aware that Toyota of Lewisville in Texas is not a company of integrity. Toyota's policy of respect for people was wiped out on this day.
