fraudulent charging/incomplete applications/rude staff
I never consented to resuming the service, two weeks later I was contacted to set up scheduling - 38.00 monthly for 7-9 month. Payment for the August application was promptly paid on the same day. But, after that, an additional double charge appeared(when were that services actually rendered?) I was informed that manner of payment was not the norm . This was in spite of the fact the schedule was already set. I previously received communication verifying the same (however, discarded it in the interim) but, according to a manager, it could not be located in the records. Staffers become very rude and condescending when charges are questioned.
There is a 78.00 charge that I do not owe. Help!
lawn service and lack of customer service
Customer number: [protected]
I have been trying to resolve this issue since August and have gotten the run around from the local office. I have just called today to revisit my issues only to find out that the local office is falsifying information they are putting in notes. They claimed to have called 3 times trying to reach me and I confirmed on my phone that no such calls were received even after Trugreen claimed they also left messages.
My original issue concerns the treatment provided for my lawn which did not stop the lawn from turning brown, creating bare patches, and also continuous weeds. I brought this to the attention of the local office and they claim someone came out to inspect and offered solutions, however those solutions were not entered into any notes within the Trugreen system, and they must have blown away after they were allegedly placed on my front door. I was then talking with the service manager who explained that he could not identify the issue, or the recommendations initially left.
Looking to simply identify what could be done and who will be my lawn provider this upcoming season.
lawn maint
Anyone had trouble with tru green, we have had them almost 2 years( we have alot of health issues, My husband is a disabled marine who has had 2 strokes, i have a fracture in my back) we pay this company to get rid of weeds because we can't When calling corp and asking for a supervisor i received a call from tech calling me a liar about spraying ( we had weeds waist high) I called again got an email stating it had been done, called third and final time talked to a person who defensed the tech, i asked someone come take a look He basically told me he would send same tech SO I CANCELLED its bad to exploit older people But one who deafened our country, and who can't help themselves, REALLY BAD COMPANY heres a response from a former employee, As a former employee of this company I can tell you they do anything they can to rip you off. We was told to use less weed control than what the label says to use knowing it will not work. We ran out of weed control and our production manager told us to spray just water. They pressure people to pre pay then never show up to service the lawns. We was told we have there money they can wait.
lawn care service
I called TruGreen on May 28, 2015 and subscribed one-year service. I also paid one-year expense in advance during the call. On the call, I emphasized that I only want to try the service for one year as this is the first time that I used the service. Customer service officer is so eager to finalize the contract with me and never told me that one-year contract would automatically be renewed and the so called “one-year” is not a calendar year. Since last June, the serviceman from TruGreen started to come to my house to do the service. My in-law met the guy once and she told me that guy only worked for 5 minutes on my lawn. My lawn looked so bad now and I have to plant a new lawn. To make things worse, I started to get bill from TruGreen this March. It turned out that “one-year” service is from last June to this Mar (excluding winter), and the one-year contract is automatically renewed without my agreement. I do feel that this company is taking advantage of me and cheating me by not disclosing important information in the very beginning. Let alone the lousy service it provided. This is really not tolerable.
killed my sod after each spray
My lawn was newly installed in June before I availed of trugreen for a year of service, paid in advance. After each spray I would call them a few days later as brown/dead spots are appearing each time they spray. There are a lot of weeds that seems to be healthier than my sod.
Finally, they sent someone out in Dec to take pictures and survey the damaged lawn and promised they will repair after the winter as there are no plugs available. They sent someone end of March with only half the plugs to repair. I called several times and was promised the manager will call me back in 24-48 hrs but no calls came. Today, I made the call again and spoke with RICHARD( who was suppose to be the manager). As I was explaining what happened to my lawn, he raised his tone at me saying " THERE WILL BE NO MORE PLUGS COMING, AND IF I WANT, I WILL PAY ADDITIONAL $100". As I was telling him that they're the ones who damaged my lawn and was promised they would repair it, HE HANG UP ON ME!
This is how I ended up after trusting them, paying in advance for their services. They did not keep up with their promise. Should have listened to my neighbors...😩😩
lawn care
It has been a nightmare dealing with all levels of TruGreen Personnel. I signed up for lawn service with them. Month after month I called to let them know no changes were happening with my lawn. At first they asked me to wait a few months for me to see the results. After 4-5 months, I finally decided to meet with the service technician in person to complain. It turns out they were only servicing part of my lawn (why? I don't know. It is a continuous lawn but for some reason they decided to stop at a certain point). When I called to complain again, and after being transferred time and time again to different levels of management, they said they would refund me the last payment and try to work something out with my lawn. I never received the refund and never heard from them again. I have continued calling only to be transferred from manager to manager with no results. Finally, my last call to them was for them to inform me that they couldn't do anything about it. A nightmare. Basically, I am out of close to $880 and with a lawn that looks the worse it has ever been. Careful with this company!
door to door sales
I live in a deed restricted community where door to door sales is not permitted by law. When they came to my door and I told them by brother in law was in the business and I was not interested. He would not take no for an answer. When I told him please do not make me become an ### hole and I did not want his service and reminded him the community has a no door to door law he told me, "would you rather I be on well fair " and I replied I did not care what he did he was violating the law. He then told me he could buy and sell me. Tomorrow I will be at the St Johns County Clerk of the Court to file the necessary paperwork to ask the court to enjoin then from coming into my Community to do any business at all and if I can not get that to fine them for door to door sales.
lawn service august, 2015
I signed up for a year of service from Trugreen Chemlawn in Las Vegas, NV. They promised me I would have a lush green lawn. A year later I still had brown grass and bare spots in my lawn. I even put down new sod in one area. Then my contract expired and they showed up one day and sprayed my lawn. A couple of days later a big area in my yard turned brown and crispy - too much fertilizer- and I didn't even want the service any longer. I received a bill for $45.00 so I emailed them and complained. No response. I emailed again - no response. I do not recommend this company for lawn service in Las Vegas, NV. They just don't know how to deal with the hot summers here. I'm done with them forever. A response would have been appreciated. Bad customer service. Here are 2 pictures of my lawn after the service they did a few days ago.
service
They killed my grass with one application (see pictures). On Monday, I had lush, green grass. On Tuesday Trugreen treated my lawn and by Wednesday morning this is what I'm left with. I called customer no service three times and they were supposed to send out the service manager; he never called me or came to look at the lawn. They just don't care. Oh, they did offer to 'reservice the lawn'...my question, why would I want you to retreat the grass you destroyed the first time?" Then they offered me a discount on the application - seriously? They need to replace the lawn that their technician killed.
not following agreement, show up without calling first, and charge us for the work they didn't do.
They said that they applied the final treatment for our lawn without calling us, and my wife said she didn't saw them coming on that day. when I went out to check if they did any work, I didn't see anything being done on our lawn. now they threathen us to pay or elsethey will sent the amount due to collection.

Either the TruGreen computer systems are crap, and/or their people are twits.
We asked that they come out and apply weed control and fertilizer on SPECIFIC areas of our yard and NOT, repeat NOT, on other areas. We were VERY clear as to which areas were involved. On numerous occasions they came out and applied their product on the WRONG AREAS. How bright do you have to be ? This is not a difficult concept.
On other instance, the service guy drove his aerating machine over a garden hose that had been left out. Should it have been put away ? Absolutely. But anybody with eyes in their head would have seen it lying there, and could have moved it aside.
We have also tried to have them NOT come out to spray for weeds on numerous occasions, and have asked that their computer system be marked DO NOT COME OUT AGAIN UNTIL THE CUSTOMER CALLS. Sure enough, a few weeks later they call to say that they'll be out again in a couple of days. We go over the process again, telling them not to come out, BUT THEY DO IT ANYWAY. Of course they're all to happy to charge my Mastercard for the service call too.
Here's my recommendation for lawn care companies :
ANYBODY BUT TRUGREEN
Really dislike the fact that they renew 'automatically' each year without contacting and confirming with you. It is also quite interesting that they renew at the 'full' price as opposed to the packaged plan which you used before. I came home in April to find the TruGreen sign on my lawn and an invoice in my mailbox -- I had no idea they were coming. When I called and outlined my concerns, the girl that I got was very rude. Said she could only do 'what the computer would let her'. So, I cancelled their service. Even with their service, I still found that the weeds weren't entirely managed -- still had certain areas of thistle and dandelions even with their service.
They over fertilized. Were non responsive to my concerns. Were supposed to come out and discuss. Never did.
charging for a service I didnt get
When I first started using there service the tech would come to the door and let me know he was there I on occasions would see him in the back yard doing his work and always knew he had been there . Recently Service has gone down hill the finale was the day I was looking out the window while making my coffee he walked to the edge of my pool and turned...

Scott (employee # 4942) came to my door wanting to sell me a TruGreen contract Aug 2013, said as a corner lot in a golf course community, he wanted my business. I paid for a whole year in advance. In addition to lawn care and reseeding, he threw in a year's worth of 'Tree & Shrub Service' for free and wrote on my Service Agreement "entire yard" in two places. Then the fun began. 1) Even though I paid in full in advance, I started receiving bills in the mail and had to call in to resolve. 2) Every time I have service it is a different person who doesn't know where my property lines are and I have to run outside to 'catch them' and walk them through it. One of them only treated half my plants and said my other plants were thought to be the neighbor's just because they were in a pine straw area. 3) I work from home, so I get to see them dragging their heavy hoses through my perennials and shrubs, against my ornamental trees; some apologize when they see me coming, others just stand there dumbfounded and actually respond that they just didn't want to have to move the truck! So LAZY. That one just took off, even after I suggested that he use my 30' wide driveway to drag the hose across instead oft through my plants, he just couldn't do it so he called into headquarters and then he left. 4) Did you think "entire landscape" meant all your trees and shrubs? Oh NO! Every time the worker gives me a new list of plants they DON'T treat (Nandina, Japanese Maples, to name a few) so it was never going to be my"entire landscape" like the salesperson wrote on my contract. 5) It was like talking to Bill Clinton about Monika Lewinsky; we were arguing about the definition of a shrub. All the things they skipped. Is that a shrub? Yes - then spray it! 6) It took 3 calls to their 1-866 phone number today to determine how many services I have left that I already paid for. After that, this is going to be CANCELLED. I kept all their receipts with the chemicals they SUPPOSEDLY put on my landscape (could be water for all I know). I'll buy them on the internet and invest in a sprayer. Job Done. 7) My lawn (just two years since full sod installation) is covered in Brown Patch (oh, yeah, we can treat for that for an extra $100 they say, but why didn't they suggest that back in May when it would have done some good?). 8) The TruGreen guys blame the irrigation and the mover guy's mowing height and blade sharpness. No one takes responsibility for all three parts (mowing, irrigation settings, chemicals) so they could actually be responsible for us having a green lawn. Why am I paying thousands but still not having green grass? Isn't that what it is all about TruGREEN?

killed my lawn
Trugreen that serviced my property in North Richland Hills let my lawn die, and did not stand behind their guarantee. I tried to get them to react to the dying lawn several times throughout this past 12 months. Each time given the excuse that I needed to wait till the following quarter of the season, and it would start coming back. They took care of it fine from April 2004 till summer of 2008, then service started changing. Slowly, under my protest, my lawn started deteriorating, till finally I gave up and cancelled
all their service, for my lawn and trees and shrubs after a decade of service at a budgeted $122 per month – my lawn is now awful. I have enclosed before and after shots.
bad communication and service
I live in Southlake Texas. Truegreen company has a horrible field service. I paid for the whole year upfront and specifically told them twice to contact me. They never did and I am even sure if they came in or not. Then I called the main number and express my concerns. They sent another novice who had no clue about lawn chemistry. I showed him my concern on some area and asked his expert opinion on how his company treats it. He told me he has no clue and will bring his manager this afternoon and he will call me before hand. I didn't receive any calls from anyone so I decided to call the main office. I got a hold of the CS rep and told him that I was very disappointed in your field service and that I would like to get refunded. She told me it will take about 2 weeks to do that. I asked them why and they said its the company policy. Then I had to call three times and remind them to get the refunds and finally got refund less than what I paid. I had to call again to get the remainder balance back today. Hopefully they will give to me.
I would not recommend anyone to use their service and especially don't pay upfront.

I usually subscribed lawn care service for whole year and prepaid the service fee for whole year. TruGreen Lawn Care hired new manager and he changed all the conditions without even talking to me. I am really disappointed with their work.
ripoff

We ran out of weed control and our production manager told us to spray just water. They pressure people to pre pay then never show up to service the lawns. We was told we have there money they can wait. That is so good to know. Thank you for disclosing that information. We should always expose a company that has deceitful and unscrupulous practices.
unauthorized charges
We paid for the services of the company Tru Green Lawn for the whole year. Recently we received the bill from them, where they stated that we needed to pay more for their services. We started to call them, and finally they agreed and checked that we paid the whole sum. After that we decided to cancel all services, but these scammers refused and charged us without our notice and warning. Total ###. Avoid them and post comments.
fraudulently charging for services not provided
We signed up the contract with the company for the front yard only. On the back yard we have fruit trees and bushes and we do not want any chemicals around them. It turned out, they measured the whole lot, including backyard. Now, backyard is fenced and locked, and they never enter it, but they charge for the full lot at every service. When I noticed the measurements on their report, I started calling their office. It turns out they do not have either phone or address or email for their office. They use messaging service that relays messages to them, so there is no way to talk to their office. I am calling them for a year now, every time the messaging service people promise that someone will get back to me in 24 hours. Guess what, in a year I did not receive any call back. I am now disputing their charges and trying to get money back, although I would greatly prefer to pay the appropriate amount and have my lawn taken care of honestly.

worse company
Had service by the same branch for my old address Duluth ga 30097 for almost 10 years. But after I moved in Suwanee, the price change a lot, first year so high so I had to go to "scotts service". Last year is super good prices, so I came back. But this year is a joke. I called about Month of January to confirm the pricing, a girl told me she can keep the...

We used TruGreen lawn service and cancelled by telephone due to total dissatisfaction and the outrageous application price (even though we thought we would give them a try). During the initial call to cancel our service, we were offered a 10 discount to continue service. At that time, it was declined and (Nick) was repeatedly advised by me that "Ill discuss that with my husband and will get back to you. If you DO NOT hear back from me, DO NOT continue service. Further, your price is considerably higher than your competitors and if we are paying Saks Fifth Avenue prices, we dont expect Wal-Mart results." That was in early September 2012. A lawn application was due at the end of September. I (nor my husband) ever contacted them back to reinstate our service with them and hired a new lawn care company. To my surprise, on October 3, 2012, there was a notice in our door that they applied a lawn application. I immediately called TruGreen and talked with a woman who clearly stated that she saw the note that (Nick) wrote and she would make sure that no bill will be sent for the application that day. Well, to my surprise, today I receive a past due notice for that service that should have never been done. I called and talked to (Ryan), who is not at the address who issued the past due notice since the phone calls bounce around to whomever is available, and he rudely advised after explaining my initial phone call to cancel, that "well, thats not what the notes say that Im reading and your responsible to pay the bill because it was NOT approved by our accounting department and you never cancelled." After further discussion, I requested to speak with his supervisor and was given his name...Drew Conlan, but he was not available at that time. I have looked at the many complaints about TruGreen and most are NOT very unfavorable with issues such as this in addition to others.
misinformation & unfair refund policy
On 7/12/12 I requested a refund for the unused portion of my prepaid lawn care and tree & shrub care that was made to several credit cards with Trugreen (7980 Kentucky Dr. Florence KY [protected]). I told the agent I would prefer a check rather then a credit card reimbursement as one of the credit cards was in a ongoing court litigation. I was told a check could be issued in 2-4 weeks instead of multiple credit card refunds. The refund payment for the credit was not made by check as told but was in fact made in total to multiple creditors for one account. After inquiry from their corporate office for an explanation I was told that when a credit is requested it is paid to the last credit card used irregardless of the amount due to different creditors. Upon further inquiry I was told by their corporate office [protected]) that a check could not be legally issued and that it is their company policy to make all credit card refund transaction to the last credit card used irregardless of the number of credit cards or amount of the transactions that it was initially charged to. I find this policy not in accordance with the satisfaction of the parties that were initially charged. I also have now been told by one of their corporate office managers (Jack) that when a agent of their company tells them a refund will be made made by check that it must it then be reviewed by their financial department which then can deny a check without notification to the client and have no responsibility to report back such action to the client. So I question the legality of this entire process as It does not keep the consumer informed and favors one creditor over another.
OK...So you pre-paid all your services to one company with SEVERAL credit cards?!?!And now 1 of the cards is in "ongoing litigation"?!?! I sounds to me like either you don't know how to manage your own finances, or you live beyond your means. or you're a scam artist. OR ALL THREE!
