I have done online orders previously with truworths and picked up at store but this time I did a home delivery cos I purchases for over R3000. And everytime search for items and deliver them separately and I got no fuel to keep running up and down for items purchased. Anyway I did this purchase using my cellphone and I have been to store last Friday or Saturday even spoke to the customer service as to why my account is that balance when I had a zero balance. So they called customer service which I asked them to do and he says I was charged for delivery fees. So I asked where does it show I must lay for that when I check out. Anyway came home sent email to customer service and till date jave not received any emails from them. Phoned today truworths from customer service they put me through online the lady was rude told me it is on the website before I cam check out and put me on hold. I was chatting on WhatsApp and the lady is telling me and showing me it reflects I sent her my screenshot of my purchases and asked her where. Then she says I must read terms and conditions which is damn ridiculous and I told her so why not have it on the website before purchase we must click terms and conditions read. I told her go on the website from her phone and tell me what happens they just cut us off. She says it's on our summary when check out I even sent her my summary and asked her to now show me where but cannot answer me. So you tell me now how much more other customers without them knowing about this delivery fee is being robbed. Cos I do online shopping a lot and I am notified beforehand about delivery fees and it is charged on my checkout so I know what I am paying for. I told them I will not pay the R60 and will leave that as outstanding balance till they rectify the issue with me and show me proof on the website from our cellphone about delivery fees. Charging customers after purchases are done according ro me is stealing from us cos we are making the payments it should be done while checking so we can make adjustments.

Thank you I just did that today cause if it goes unnoticed how many other customs unknowingly being charged for delivery. They can't justify themselves cos the IT specialist must have hit a big blunder on that website and I asked them if every SA citizen own a laptop to do desktop purchases, but irrespective of a desk top it should have been reflecting before checkout. Then they want to hit me with the terms and conditions, I asked back to show me the little square box to tick agreed with terms and conditions then I would have said yes I am wrong bit don't rip off the public cos they support these stores. Think about how much they making per month extra over and above our normal bills.

Take a firm stance on the matter with Truworths and ask them once again to provide something that is not just words but evidence of what the checkout delivery fee is. If the issue still remains unsolved, report the case to a consumer protection organization to probe the honesty of their charging system.
