I have been a truworths account holder for about 4 years (My first account I ever opend). I lost my job in last year but still managed to make some payments, in this period I made arrangements with the accounts department. This month I paid r500 and made arrangements that I know I am still behind in my account and that I am trying my best to get it up to date. To my suprise I received a final notification stating that truworths will be taking court action. Is this possible seeing as I have been paying and making arrangements as I go along?
Could someone please advise me for I do not know which way to turn.

roped, is one of my family he is taking all my staff like wallet, clothes and other staff so i promise u i will pay at the end month double realy, sorry for telling u so late i hope u will forgive me and give me a chance again pls.

Can somebody tell me why truworths has blocked my account when I have never missed a single payment. My account has always been up to date, but I can't make a purchase anymore.I have been calling their legal dept, but nobody bothers to explain why my account is blocked while I have been paying religiously. Somebody up there doesn't know what he is doing.

Hi there, my daughter in law bought a blouse for me, on friday, at the Festival mall, kemptonpark, on her account as a gift, when i got home i found that it was to small, so on Saturday morning she went to them to ask for a bigger size, and they refused to change as the tag was off, she had the slip, now my argument is why not change, and then the gentleman that works there, (if you can call him that) was following them around as if they were going to steel something, now what kind of service is this, i think this is terrible as i will never buy at that store as they will think you are going to steel and then not return if its to small.

Hi i paid my account on the 15th of July at Clearwater mall i paid 760 and gain after few miuntes i paid 765 but only one amount appears on teh system i've been fighting this for a month now. Even the Manager at Clearwater mall did i left my copies of payment as welel as bank statement which were sent to banking of Truworths department. yesterday i was at the shop so angry. Why are you doing this and when you wnat yoyur payment you call us none stop now i've paid double you dont even attend my query. I've been paying my account double amounts even end july i paid 800 what is all of this. [protected] please check with manager at cleawater mall of the case.

HEY THERE MY NAME IS NKULE, I WANT TO COMPLAINED ABOUT THE THRUWORTHS BRANCH IN PAVILLOIN IN DURBAN.I HAD PURCHASED CLOTHING THERE AND A LADY THAT WAS ASSISSTING ME WAS VERY RUDE AND DIDNT EVEN MADE A PLAN FOR ME, THE SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE AND EVEN THE MANAGER WAS CALLED, EVEN SHE TOLD ME SHE COULD HELP ME, AND WAS TIRED OF REPEATING HERSELF, I COULD NOTY BELIEVE THIS BECAUSE, SHE HAD NO PATIENCE WAST SO EVER.
IM VERY DISSAPPOINTED AND IVE NEVER RECIEVED SUCH SERVICE

Dear Sir/Madam - I received your marketing advices - which recommended that I go to Truworths Sandton for free sample of a perfume. I received my message at 12:03 - went to Truworths Sandton at 4 and was advised by Personnel that the samples were distributed and finished at 10am. All I am saying - PLEASE do not waste our time - that is 'false advertising' ! I have to say ... this the Branch Manager promised to solve the issue and revert to me, and in 'True Truworths' style (what they say - cannot be trusted) advised me that Marketing Manager was in a meeting, and then promptly went and forgot about me! How important are we as Customers... is it a matter of getting the feet into your Store on False Pretext? Amina Khan

hi there, i just received a terrifying news fron truworths that i am blacklisted due to their poor service i paid my account in full last year august and in november they sent me a confirmation letter telling me that my account is paid in full so later in september i received a call from Nashlyn Mullins and a manager from Truworths telling me that i over paid the account i must go get my R865.00 back so i went as per request so yesterday i tried applying for a credit card and i was told thta i owe truworths an amount of R1069.00 and i am handed over to more lawyres so i went to the store and they told me its late they will call me back today i received a call from a rude lady who told me it is my fault that truworths told me to go get the money back they cannot help me i must go pay the money i owe them so please can someone advise me of any lawyers who can help me regarding this nonsnesne from Truworths please

I'm so pissed off @truworths because I lost my job and I cld not pay my account.last year I finally managed to settle my debt and some lady said I wld be cleared but to my suprise when I tried to buy a car this month they said I'm blacklisted.when they want their money yhey will call u a thousand times but to write me a simple clearance letter is so difficult ! I will never ever have a truworths acc in my life!

Good day I had an account with Truwoths and finished paying it. I realised now that I have an outstanding amount of R100 which is registered as a default on my account. I cannot understand how that is possible because I personnaly went in and payed the full amount directly at the store. Please assist my ID number [protected]. To whom it may concern I was a holder of a truworths acc that later went to arrears two years ago it was paid up to my suprise my name hasn't been cleared up to date.l recently went to truworths to inquire what to do'l was given a number of the attorney who handled my acc, in return the attorneys told me that they did send me a clearance letter on my e-mail acc but to my suprise l did not receive that e-mail on the 11 of sep my e-mail add is thembadubs@yahoo.com and my I. D no [protected] pls this has ruined my name.l need your help at list to have that letter resent to my e-mail add. Thank you.

My name is Nozipho Magagula, i am a Truworths account holder and would like to inform you that I won't be able to pay my account this month due to a funeral of a family member. The thing is only my sister and I are bread-winners at home, now we have to cover our monthly costs and contribute towards the funeral as well. I will however pay it next month.

Good day
I've been requesting a settlement letter from truworths but I seem to get anythiing but the letter. The letters I get are either statements or letters that show my balance. The bank needs to get both my account's banking details in order to settle my accounts. Please assist as I need to submit before end of business day today. good morning my name is Palesa Tshabalala ID NO:[protected] today i received a call from some lady telling me that my Truworths Acc is now handed over.i do not understand this as i remember i had finished paying my acc more than 5years ago it was about R400 and something outstanding balance i paid it up and i couldnt use my acc again as i didnt have any credit it was always on 0 balance and i went to the store and was told they`ll contact the head office to put credit on my acc but till this day no1 came back to me and since then i have never again used my acc as today i was called about me owing R1000 on my acc could someone please get back to me and fix this whole thing as i cannot pay for what i didnt use and again i check my credit status atleast once a year and Truworths never appeared there and to my surprise how come i never received any letter or statement confirming that i am still owing when my acc was still at the store before they handed it over as they usually do? i was never notified of anything till today when i got that call my email address its palesatshabalala.pt@gmail.com please assist as i am not happy about all this i still buy at your stores but i use cash as my acc never had credit for me to use ever again

While doing shopping at Truworths, i found it very annoying when the security guards follow me while i am trying to decide on items of clothing. Is this the way truworths operates? Please find a better way of dealing with security.

i had an account with truworths and i lost my job, my account went under arrears howver i did the payment on friday the 28th of June and the manager told me as soon as i play full amount my name would be cleared but i tried getting cellphone contract and told me i should get clearance letter which i went back to truworths in gateway to ask for and the manager told me i should call =[protected] but i was put on hold until my airtime got finished please help, i need the clearance letter i dont owe truwrths anymore.i want the clearance letter ASAP.[protected]==Samkelisiwe Ntabeni

I would advise people to seek legal assistance from the credit ombudsman. Truworths is horrible and has wronged me so many times, I wouldn’t even know where to start. I regret opening an account with them. I will be going on social media and telling everyone willing to read and listen about all my experiences. I will also seek legal assistance. Additionally, I will let everyone I know that Truworths is not worth supporting because they do not know how to treat their customers and all they know is to suck blood.

I'm a truworths account holder it's been a year

now ,and June last year I lost my purse which had my card and I did report at truworths that I lost my card and I have received a new one but every time I go and shop everytime they have to phone the head office in order for me to purchase and it's very annoying I have to wait for 30 to 45 minutes, why is that I've been paying my account and it's always up to date .
