Pay Off
Started our membership in June 2021, in August of 2021 upgraded to silver and on December 26 we complete the 120 days as members and there was a promotion that if you pay off you get 10% off, well we never got the email or were informed about it, we got an email on Feb 4/2022 about a cashOut offer discount of 5% and extra 1% if use my bank account, So we talked about it and called your number and talked to a costumer service and asked her if was possible to have the 10% off that they never offer us while we were entitled to, she told me no, I asked to speak with her supervisor and she connected me with her supervisor, who told me she will call me back that same day she said she escalated my case, well the day passed and nobody called us, so I called back and the new lady told me the same again I asked for a supervisor and she put me trough this supervisor name was Sheila and she told me she will escalate my case (AGAIN) and she will call us back in between two days, she said Monday or Tuesday, well nobody called again, we had spend a lot of money with your company and have travel since June 2021 4 times to your resorts, pay our bills on time so its very disrespectful no to have the courtesy of a call back specialty when you are telling me you will.
Desired outcome: Get my 10% off so we can pay off and we can be able to upgrade our membership in our next trip.

Cruise Lines
In Nov/Dec of 2020, I booked an Alaskan Cruise through the UVC website/hotline. The cruise was slated for May 2021. I paid my non-refundable down payment of $630.
Due to Canadian COVID measures the cruise was cancelled in Jan/Feb of 2021, and a seemingly helpful associate, Bryan Slade, walked me through my options and helped me move the cruise to 2022. Bryan stated there would be no additional payments until January 2022, and that he would call me prior to making final arrangements. With all the upheaval in travel plans world wide, this seemed to make total sense. A few weeks later my card was still charged the full amount for the cruise, but Bryan helped cancel that charge.
January 2022 rolls around, and I have multiple charge pop up on my credit card. One from Princess cruises, and two from "Our Vacation Club Subscription" for a total of $4000. I never received the call from UVC to discuss the route of the cruise or the potential need to move it farther out. If UVC had called, I would have moved it farther out and changed the route as I did not want to have to enter Canada due to their COVID rules regarding testing, vaccine passports etc.
Unfortunately, UVC is attempting to charge me a cancellation fee in addition to the subscription fees. This is ridiculous.
Desired outcome: Please cancel all fees and Princess fees. I already paid my non-refundable down payment. Please do not steal any more money.
Unethical behavior
My family and I were vacationing in Mexico. We were approached by the people from your company we have been to dreams and loved it. The rep said a lot of things to us that we found out later were lies. I was not sure about signing the contract my kids were getting restless and I was going to leave the guy told was that if we sign the contract we can always cancel. After we left not worrying about it. My wife got laid off and realized that this was not for us especially this new development. I call to cancel was told a lot of different things that were not what I would have agreed to at the meeting. Signing with you guys has been the worst decision I have made. the contract is terrible
Desired outcome: I would like a refund and to have the contact canceled
no one contacted me. There are just false promises here
Hello I did send you my member ID do you need anything in subject for this?
Fraudulent Predatory Practice
I know it says not to use generic terms like "scam" "lies" "fraud", but that's exactly what this has been from the start. I've tried to use the membership, after multiple failed attempts at canceling and being told we would have to pay 50%, receive nothing and then they would let us out of the contract. Sadly, I'm actually considering that. Losing $10k is better than losing $19k I suppose. Anyway, I've tried to use the membership only to be told we couldn't combine certificates (something our sales person told us would be the best way to get the most out of the program). I've tried to bring guests, only to be told they would be subject to different pricing and there would be fees - -something again that was told to us differently during the sales process (you can bring up to 20 rooms). The ENTIRE thing has been a scam and a loss from the beginning and amounts to nothing more than a mediocre discount club that I have to pay $19, 000 in advance for?
Desired outcome: CANCEL AND REFUND MY MEMBERSHIP!
So far, your membership has promised so many things that you haven't provided it's virtually impossible to list: pricing is nowhere near the 25-40% they promise over mimosas and they find some excuse, "Well, the one you're seeing online includes air, ours does not, so we can't match that" -- like the airfare makes it LESS expensive? No black out dates? Bullcrap. Already been told twice my dates wouldn't work. Share with you my member id, email and phone number? I've been on with your group of thieves already multiple times and they can't even live up to what they promise on the phone. The last lady promised she would send me an email contact (for some reason she was unable to provide it on the phone) so my legal council could send the list of areas where this contract is complete garbage because of failures on your side -- no email. And the sales tactics used where things are promised and then when it's pointed out that it's not reflected in the contract and they say, "The official paperwork with all of that will be sent to you"- no new paperwork. Because that was a lie, but the buddy-buddy, let's have another drink tactic at the site after you've been there for four hours makes you gloss over it. This has completely bled over to how I feel about AMR Resorts now as well. We have taken 27 vacations across Dreams, Secrets and Breathless Resorts over the past 20 years and I don't ever want to go again because of this experience. SWINDLERS! Stay as far away as you can from this and warn others!

Request for Cancellation
In October of 2019 while at Breathless in Cancun, I signed up for UVC. I used it for a cruise and a trip to St. Martin in May of 2021. I subsequently decided that I would not use this program and that the benefits were not as good as I had hoped. I PAID OFF THE BALANCE of the contract and sent an email in November of 2021 that I'd like to cancel my membership. I also removed all payment information from my account in that I did not plan to use the program. They are now sending me emails and phone calls wanting me to contact them for payment. You cannot force me to renew a contract that is paid in full. I do not want to renew or use your services. Please stop contacting me. I sent on several occasions my documentation of canceling my account and I do not owe a balance which I also have verification that I did not owe any money to UVC. This company is a scam and only wants to get money.
Desired outcome: Leave me alone and send cancellation and stop contacting me.

Business practices
Wanda J. From Quebec, Canada
Due to the global COVID pandemic remaining ours 23 Premier Nights
expired.
We had no idea that they were set to expire. The UVC never informed us about that…
We received email for payment UVC membership for 2021 what we're always did.
We tried to get them restored and found that UVC was completely insensitive to the realities and complications of international travel. Wasn't the border closed? Weren't people dying? Wasn't vaccination passeport required? Wasn't curfew in Quebec in effect?
Spoke 14/01/2022 with UVC service Madame Aurélie of whom Supervisor Monsieur Barosso asked me to send documentation of COVID … isn't that a violation of PIPEDA laws? I find UVC to be unethical in business practices and completely tone deaf to the realities we are living in… I simply wanted to have what I fully paid for (34 950 $ - available 23 Premier Nights which We offered to ours children)
and some grace and understanding of the past 20 months. This may be the only company and customer service I encountered who has been so rigid. That speaks volume to their culture and the value they place on customers.
When asked to speak to Supervisor Monsieur Barosso it wasn't possible.
Desired outcome: 23 Premier Nights Restored

Promised rates and fly back program
We visited secrets in Akumal before Christmas 2021. We sat through the sales pitch and we were promised wonderful rates. 89.00 per person per night in a junior suite and 159.00pp/pn for the fanciest. We were told the fly back program was part of our purchase price as well. We were promised all sorts of things and now we are home and trying to book at these rates and nothing can be found anywhere near that rate. We were also charged over 8000.00 for the fly back program and as I said it was supposed to be included. We have now had time to look into this company and it's practices and this seems to be the standard practice for them. Needless to say we are not happy we are looking into filing a class action suit with a lawyer we found who specializes in these things. Don't fall for the scam read the contract EVERY WORD because what they are selling has not proven to be remotely true.
Desired outcome: Return our money and traded time shares or honor what you sold us

Regretting this decision everyday
My boyfriend and I signed up on May 2021 during our trip to Riviera Maya. Like most reviews here, the presentation was way too long and there was pressure to purchase (switching of reps, each coming in with lower rates and discounts). We were not told of any cancellation policy. While the reps were nice enough, I was skeptical from the beginning but my boyfriend was adamant this was a money saver long term since we both travel domestically and internationally. Well since the purchase, I've rec'd no less than 30 calls or emails wanting us to purchase more upgrades (usually hidden under the guise of wanting to discuss the membership terms). Here's a thought: Put the membership terms and FAQs on your website so members who know how to read can have help at their fingertips. The calls usually come when I'm at work and because of the language barrier, it is difficult to understand the reps. Needless to say, we're now at a point where we're trying to book our first international trip with UVC (never rec'd information after I signed up for the RCI membership so have no clue how much we could have saved on domestic trips), and I'm not feeling confident in UVC's ability to offer anything special from what I've found on Expedia or AMEX travel. Seriously regretting this decision and my intelligence for being talked into this. I wish there was a way to cancel, especially for members who have yet to reap any benefit.
Desired outcome: Allow me to cancel my membership and refund my down payment

Presentation
My husband & I did the presentation at Dreams Vista with Ian, what we thought was a decent presentation quickly turned bad. Ian was young and vibrant- we conversed well with him during the presentation. He then brought Kaila to the table to talk "money" and she was nothing but aggressive! We respectfully declined multiple times explaining why it didn't fit us. Then Ian & Kaila gets up and another lady sits down. Not once did she introduce herself. She tried to through "better numbers" at us. Once we declined again with her she begin to tell us we were rude, stating "I've been doing this for many years your can't scare me". She began to tell us she was cooperate manager and we made her staff uncomfortable. Not once did she speak to Ian & Kaila in the mist of them presenting to us so where did she get that information? She threatened to call security when we told her she was a liar . Horrible people. Made us feel better on our decision not to buy into this scam when they showed their true colors. Once we left we looked up reviews for them and I have yet to see a good review.

Shady resort
Super shady sales practices. The pressure to buy into their shady membership is terrible.
This is a 80's way of doing sales. No one will give you $23K or $15K upfront for a nicer room and some vague perks. It's hard to understand what they offer to be honest except a nice room and early check in/out.
The fact that this resort has no problem harassing its customers (we're already paying $600 a night) for exorbitant membership plans is low class and disrespectful.
The fact that even with paying the full price, we had to suffer this presentation otherwise we couldn't access the preferred member areas which basically was the major part of the hotel and pools and restaurants was outrageous.
So, you mean to tell us that we're paying $600 to hangout in the lobby?
Anyways, Secrets and AM chain lost us for good. We'll never come back anywhere near this chain. I'm shocked Hyatt bought them...
Desired outcome: Stop being shady

Cancel membership sv1-008160 - vazquez
After much persuasion from sales person... My spouse and I purchased contract with uvc. The uvc misrepresented who they really were through deceptive and fraudulent sales and unfortunately we fell for it and thought we were getting much more than just a 25% discount. After much review of contract which was emailed with our signatures on paperwork we never saw or agreed to... We contacted uvc to cancel our contract at any time. We tried to cancel since day one and called them several times we were told we couldn't cancel. After many attempts were sent to quality assurance and have yet to have any results! We were told we would have to pay 50% of our total to cancel... Which is crazy. Our first payment is not even due yet and we have already paid down payment. I would like to join the class action lawsuit.

I'm having the exact same issue. This whole thing was misrepresented from the beginning. Every time I call I can't use a particular week or an offer that I was given or combined certificates (even though we were told by the sales person that was the best way to get the most out of the membership). I've tried canceling multiple times and am now seeking legal council. We were told the same thing - we could pay 50%, receive nothing and get out of the contract. We're building an argument around predatory practice with the sales techniques, the alcohol and the consistent lies. Hoping to have word soon. Essentially we paid $19k to get a 25% discount club - which rarely works out to be 25%. Every time I get a stupid email from them it makes me more angry at that lapse in judgment.
I feel for you because we were fooled by this same company. We were contacted by someone named Jillian (a man) who offered to remediate this matter only to disappear and never responded. We're allowed a public complaint then it's marked resolved which is another LIE.
CONSUMER PROTECTION is asleep at the wheel. Time for a class action suit.
Membership Cancellation - Were told we could not cancel which was a lie
We signed up for the vacation club after being pressured for 4 hours on 12/14/2021. They told us that we would not be allowed to get this offer again for 7 years and that we had to sign then and there. After 4 hours of being stuck in a room we felt completely pressured and coerced into getting the membership. My husband and I discussed it for the remainder of that day and had some serious regrets and we felt like we got conned into something we did not really want. When we went back the next day to cancel we were told there is no cancellation to the program and that once the contract was signed that was it and we needed to pay the remainder of our balance. So we didn't press it. However, after returning back to the states and have the opportunity to do more research we have now discovered we had 5 days to cancel the contract. This was NEVER discussed or told to us, nor were they honest when we went back the next day.
Desired outcome: Cancellation of membership and a full refund
email has been sent with requested information. Still waiting a response.
Vacation club
I had a booking for Zoetry Villa Rolandi for January 2022 with my wife. I have a platinum membership. Unfortunately and tragically my wife was diagnosed with a terminal illness. I had to cancel the trip. I asked them to consider my situation until she recovers from her illness. This would take several months. The lack of human response and treatment received was beyond words. I was given an extension of one month to book again and no further cancellations were possible.
I explained and provided a letter from the treating physician requesting a longer extension. It was refused. There was no one to talk to. They said that they escalated my request to the highest level. I could only speak to supervisors. I would not recommend anyone to buy a membership in this company. It is a scam with dreadful customer service. I pleaded with them and made several calls with no changes made.
Desired outcome: Change of policy given extreme circumstances

I would like to join the class action lawsuit. I've contacted UVC with issues I have regarding my contract. I have yet to receive my RCI membership. I asked to cancel my membership and I have yet to receive any of the services. There has been multiple issues with the bookings. I booked a hotel with my lifestyle collection and upon arrival to the hotel they never received my reservation .
Desired outcome: Refund of money invested

Fraudulent/ Scam/Cancelation of Contract
After much persuasion from salesman...My spouse and I purchased contract with UVC while staying at Dreams Jade 9/25/21. The UVC misrepresented who they really were through deceptive and fraudulent sales and unfortunately we fell for it and thought we were getting much more than just a 25% discount. After much review of contract which was emailed with our signatures on paperwork we never saw or agreed to... we contacted UVC to cancel our contract within 30 days. We were sent to Quality Assurance and have yet to have any results! We were told we would have to pay 50% of our total which was 47, 000 to cancel... which is crazy. Our first payment is not even due yet and we have already paid 14, 000 down. We need help. Contact [protected]@gmail.com.. thank you
Still not resolved!
did you receive a response from them yet? this is crazy!
I am dealing with a similar issue. I have emailed and called multiple times since last week and today I was ignorantly hung up on, twice. Those salesmen manipulated and misinterpreted everything to get me to sign into this "vacation club" and the contract without giving me a breakdown or giving me time to read through it. I was brushed off and told everything they explained was in the contract and it will be emailed to me. In which it was but the part they skipped was the 'true' cancellation info. They did not verbally tell me anything about the 5 day early termination, instead I was told that I had 30 days for all cancellations(with a witness to prove that). It is impossible to talk to these reps they have working the phones and a headache trying to get my point across before they hang up on me. I'm sick about letting them scandalously suck me into this bull.
I am right there with you... I wasn't even informed of a cancellation period! I have also experienced the rudeness. .telling me its all in the contract... we were never privileged to a contract until I accessed my email when we got home 6 days later and stupidly waited to read it...then realized all the deception and fraud that occurred. I am hoping to hear something today. I am sick also...it doesn't pay to trust anyone these days!
Hello, Jaclyn. Please note that we have already communicated your request to the corresponding area. Our quality team will be contacting you as soon as possible to assist you. We appreciate your patience. FV.
was there a response, because quality assurance will get back to you but only reiterate to go back to your contract and that you are responsible. its crazy!
Business Practices
We had Premier Nights that supposedly experienced - but of course the sales person told us that they last the 20+ years of the contract. Due to the global COVID pandemic some remaining nights expired but I had no idea that they were set to expire. I tried to get them restored and found that UVC was completely insensitive to the realities and complications of international travel. Hmm… wasn't the border closed? Weren't people dying? Spoke with UVC Supervisor Carlos Galue and he asked me to send documentation of COVID … isn't that a violation of HIPPA laws? I find UVC to be unethical in business practices and completely tone deaf to the realities we are living in… I simply wanted to have what I fully paid for ($30, 000) and some grace and understanding of the past 18 months. This may be the only company and customer service I encountered who has been so rigid and out of touch. That speaks volume to their culture and the value they place on customers. When asked to speak to someone above Carlos he told that he was the ONLY person that I could speak to! Is Carlos the King?

I was promised the fly away with my upgrade at Secrets Vine.
When we upgraded in June of 2021 at the vine we were promised the fly away and the fee was waived. When we called to get the information we we told it was not on our contract. This was a bait and switch. We specifically upgraded for that because we already had purchased the club. We were told if we sign on that day only we would receive the fly away as an added bonus. Our member number is SV1007609. Jeff & Charmaine Bailey
Desired outcome: The fly away at no cost to activate.

U Lifestyle Collection
We received a $500 Cruise Reward card in the mail from Lifestyle Collection. When calling to inquire about the card I was transferred to ‘Micheal" at [protected] Ext 4612. Unexpectedly it turns out Michael is a Salesman looking to convince us to upgrade our two year complimentary membership. My husband was not home at the time and would not agree to purchase this upgrade until we could discuss this together. ‘Micheal' claimed in order for us to receive this ‘deal' it had to happen now. He then offered that I give them my credit card for half the payment and call back within that same day if we decide we didn't want to make this purchase, he would cancel no questions asked. After my husband returned home, we discussed the cost, etc… we decided this would not work for us. I called ‘Michael' back asking to not charge my card. He insisted on talking to my husband, and I continued to ask for the cancellation. He became rude and frustrated at that point. I asked him to confirm that this is being cancelled. He said yes and then hung up. The charge for $1599 was charged to my card despite me being told it wouldn't be. I filed a dispute with my credit card company. The investigation came back that I am responsible since there was no evidence of cancellation on your side.
Desired outcome: Credit for the $1599 charge

Refund of my money or access to my benefits!!!
I was just locked out of my UVC Lifestyle Collection access because my UVC contract expired 11/2021 (NLX-000493). I was told the two are TOTALLY SEPARATE and that I could belong to one without the other. After investing thousands of dollars in UVC Lifestyle to become a "lifetime member" (with at least five active certificates) and thousands of dollars in "savings credits", I no longer have access to any of it! Several phone calls have been unfruitful, including a CSR stating he would escalate to a supervisor and call me back with an update... still waiting on that return call. I was told to call the UVC parent company, which I did. They told me "Ma'am your contract with us has expired. There is nothing we can do to help you." (This was the answer I received REPEATEDLY regardless of the question.) I called again today and was transferred to Customer Support, who basically reiterated all of the above, stating "Ma'am, your contract with UVC Lifestyle is tied to your UVC contract. If this is cancelled, there is nothing we can do to reinstate your benefits!" Additionally, I am STILL MAKING PAYMENTS (thru UPLIFT.com) for these benefits! I am at this point, very frustrated with this SCAM because I am told I have no recourse. I am on the hook for the total of $5414.75 and I have NO ACCESS TO THE BENEFITS I HAVE PAID FOR! What do I do?

Contract early termination
My husband and I signed up 3 days ago we cancelled within the 5 day period. This Mexican Scam is the worst. Even during our 5 day period of cancellation, we dealt with them is a nightmare. They will send you to many different departments. They promise to send you cancellation notifications etc. Up to now day 2 dealing with the nonsense. This is what will make tourism go down in Mexico. Do not sign up. Highly frustrating scam. Ruined vacation time and now ruining post vacation time.
Desired outcome: Refund of our first payment and successful cancellation
Now they have sent me a cancellation confirmation email. I will need to wait 15 days for my refund. Will see how that goes.
