Contract and fraudulent representation
This vacation club is a scheme and ripoff. The sales pitch provided to me and my husband was that we could travel to over 1000 Caribbean island and told the places we wanted to see. Low and behold because you don't get to look at the clients website until after signing the contract and waiting a few days (pass the time you can cancel) and realize that you can travel a limited of places with UVC but have to use the partners for the other islands which after the two years cost to retain that partnership. They even stated the price will include lodging and flight but that was a lie as well. Once joining the social media sites I seen several people who was sold and lied to by this place. Yes I paid the registration fee and don't care about that lost as a lessons learn but now they won't let me out of the contract that was sold underneath false pretense. I don't want any one else to be SUCKED into this SCHEME. I would be happy to join in a class action suit as apparently with all the complaints they still won't make things right with the people that Naively trusted that good people still EXIST.
Desired outcome: Just want to get out of this contract and not even asking for the tart up fee back.

Issues with Dreams Punta Cana
Following summery of our experience with your resort Dreams Palm Beach Punta Cana in Dominican Republic. I specifically requested a newly built resort for our stay (expectation was Macao) - we was given old resort [Dreams Palm Beach Punta Cana] I specifically requested both our rooms in the same flow and next each other (because my daughter is a minor and...

I traveled to Mexico September, 2021 and went to Secrets in Riviera Maya. My boyfriend and I went on the tour and our guide was fabulous! We then went to what I call a bullying session…where we were not only pressured… But then belittled by the gentleman who was angry because we chose not to purchase. Our guide then told us that everything was fine and she was going to get our $250 voucher and walk us to the front to catch our taxi. Then someone who called himself her manager came over and wanted to make sure that everything was OK because we had been upset and felt pressured. He then offered us a discounted rate… For two years and told us we could cancel within 30 days. Feeling a little better about this two-year commitment and the price we said we would try it out. After coming home we have looked and priced different stats and have found it not affordable for our family. I have tried to call multiple times to cancel our membership and each time I am either told that they will call me back, because the wait time is so long, or they simply hang up on me. I spoke to a manager twice who assured me our membership would be cancelled and I'm still receiving bills and "collection" calls although my payment was due 4 days ago. Now every time I try to call someone answers and puts me on an infinite hold… All we want to do is cancel our membership. And supposedly they have the best customer service… But no one will assist us.
Desired outcome: Cancellation of Membership

UVC / RCI / LifeStyle Collections - all scams
My husband and I went to Secrets Royal Beach in Punta Cana for our Honeymoon in March. Of course, while we were there they sucked us into a sales pitch (there went our nice morning) and after much back and forth we were naïve enough to think we had made a decent deal with them. After paying a few thousand upfront and agreeing to a monthly fee, we also secured four (4) weeks at $250 through RCI good for up to 8 people, or a total of 4 hotel rooms. At least, that's what they told us. They really bury the "this is literally only a 25% discount" through their deceit and lies and until you are at home on your own wondering why it still costs so much to book a vacation - do you ever stop to wonder what the heck you really signed up for! A few months later, we receive a call from Lifestyle Collections letting us know it's time to activate... Oh, but we will not be receiving any of the good benefits if we do not sign up for the savings credit etc. Well once you already have put so much money into something, you obviously want to get all you can out of it, so again - we agree to another monthly charge. Well, here we are, trying to book vacations, and what do you know - we can't. Nothing is available, no dates are available, the prices are far cheaper on third-party sites, and wait — what about our 4 weeks with RCI for 8 ppl/4 hotel rooms? It was a lie... They do not exchange for hotel rooms, so they would've never told us this (is what they're telling me). And much like others - they show you a huge map and ask you to point to anywhere in the world... We have it all... Lies again. We feel completely ripped off and scammed out of our hard earned money. I will be filing a complaint with the better business bureau and the only resolution we see is a full refund of what we paid up front as well as what we have paid thus far since March. Please steer clear of this scam at all costs and avoid the trouble we face.
Desired outcome: The only resolution we see is a full refund of what we paid up front as well as what we have paid thus far since March.

Buyer beware: deceitful representation of hotel discount benefits
We were in Cabo in Sept 2021 to relax only to get robbed. When we were directed to stop by the desk where supposedly we meet our arranged private ride to the JW Marriott. The man we met is a lead generator for United Vacations. We gave it a shot to see what's offered but we were candid upfront that we already owned 5 weeks with Marriott and a week with Hilton. We're not interested in purchasing another type of membership or ownership to resorts. A senior salesman by the name of Edgar who spoke English fluently (so there's no misunderstanding issue) expanded on how we can use this membership to get hotel stays at a $199/night rate. I asked, not once but multiple times, even the Four Seasons? He proudly said "YES!" again I asked how could we get the Four Seasons, Ritz, St Regis - these luxury brands at that price. He said because it's our partnership with all these brands. We are not new to these types of sales so we asked a lot of questions. There were four people involved in the sales process, if not more. They're all aware of the false representation scam. In fairness we were as long as there is inventory. Painfully we learned the "trading power points" granted in exchange for a week you deposit into RCI is equivalent to 30 points BUT majority of hotels (if not all) only allow you to apply 2 points.
For example, rack rate for a Four Seasons night is $850/night - your rate via this membership is $742.50/night - a discount of $100 /night- GREAT RIGHT? Sure IF it was not misrepresented as $199/night. We also have a ton of Bonvoy Marriott points bec of my frequent work travel. So see it was clear we didnt need JUST ANY hotel benefits - WE WANTED ACCESS TO LUXURY BRANDS outside the Marriott fleet of logos. So he aimed for this "want" as his sales strategy. It took 3 weeks or longer to get us access on-line at which time 30 days have passed before we discovered the lie. I've sent multiple messages to our assigned sales person, Antonietta, and asked for Edgar or any sales mgr to call us. NO RESPONSE. THIS EXPERIENCE IS WHY SALES PEOPLE GET A BAD REP. I doubt consumer protection exists in Mexico.
Desired outcome: Cancel contract and refund monies, OR deliver the actual benefits sold. Enable as many credits to apply to hotels in order to get a $199 per night rate.
We have been contacted by UVC quality assurance specialist who was negotiating an agreement with us to end this matter amicably. THEN THIS PERSON DISAPPEARED AND STOPPED RESPONDING. The sales team at the resorts especially the one in Cabo is outsourced to a marketing company. They are selling memberships that are full of lies.
ANYONE FILING A CLASS ACTION SUIT PLS REACH OUT TO ME and we will join.
Pls dont mark this complaint as resolved bec that in itself is deceitful. this matter is far from resolved
Charged more than market price on cruise, including my credit
I had $1, 500 credit in U LifeStyle Collection (UVC). I called to by a cruise for the Christmas holidays. I was given a price slightly lower than what I had found in Expedia and RCI, so I bought it. Then I found out that $1, 200 was taken out of my credit, which much more than the difference between UVC and the market price. This means that my credit money was used to match the market price, which is makes no sense.
Even worst, I found today (48 hrs after I bought the cruise) that RCI has an even better price than what I paid for (including my misused credit).
I expect UVC to provide me with the best (lower) price in the market and use my credit on the top of that so I can feel that the amount of money I put in the program was worth it. Otherwise, it would be deceiving and a false sell. I will not accept restoring my credit as a solution as I want to use it now; I will not buy another cruise in the foreseeable future.
I have sent several emails to the agent who sold me the cruise and Member Services UVC, but have got no response (at least a helpful one).
I am using UVC for the 1st time, and I really hope UVC does not disappoint me by not fixing this before I get on my cruise.
Thanks;
Elliot Ibarra

Desired outcome: The current price in RCI for the same Cruise (cabin) I bought is $5,724. I expect my price in UVC is at least $4,224 ($5,724-$1,500 credit). I paid $5,985, so I expect a refund to my CC of $1,761.
nothing yet. the cruise is even cheaper now and i lost my cruise credit !
Elliott has someone from UVC contacted you to start negotiating then just disappeared? That's what happened to us. This organization, allowed to operate in Florida US, continue to commit fraud and not act in good faith. SHUT THEM DOWN
I want a refund of my money.
I visited the Dreams resort in Cabo San Lucas on September of 2020 While doing the time share presentation we had our reservations about joining uvc, but the sales associate showed us the benefits of rci and that we would be getting 4 free weeks at just the exchange fee of $249, plus 1 free week in (a top notch am resort) with our membership. I went to Cancun in November 2019 at Emerald Now resort and was immediately brought to the bar area to meet with a man who wouldn't take no for an answer for us to meet for a free breakfast at the secret of the vine in Cancun the following morning. Kept pushing drinks on me and my husband doesn't drink he kept trying to get him to drink. We agreed to go to breakfast only to be taken to another room to see what excursions they could setup for us. We didn't want any. We paid for all inclusive stay to relax on the resort. We kept saying we didn't want any and finally were released to check into our room. The next morning we were shuttle to the secret if the vine resort for the free breakfast and a tour of the resort. A lady met us and had the lunch with us asking us questions about how often we travel making small talk and writing things down. We were taken to another room where they were again pushing alcohol and telling us about joining the club. Starting at $50, 000 dollars and we said no and we weren't interested and they kept on and on and going back and fourth to some other guy across the room and kept coming back to an offer if $11000. Plan for 20 years. Made it seem like that's all we had to pay to stay at any of their resorts. I wasn't aware of it being a discount. Then we paid 4000 for a fly back program separate. Told we would get reimbursed for flights. Covid hit never used benefits. They are constantly calling for us to upgrade. Still owe over $2000 and they keep adding fees and renewal charges yearly. How can I get out of this? I haven't traveled since and I cannot afford to keep this up.

Wedding coordinator
I have tried for over two weeks to get in touch with the wedding coordinator at every dreams resort with emails and customer service and still nothing from them.
I have contacted UVC approx 13 times already and they have been great with trying to get this done. They have sent emails on my behalf and will nothing.
Personally every wedding coordinator should be fired at this time because I'm sure I'm not the only one. The amount of lost revenue due to this issue is great. Here I'm about to drop 50, 000.00 in reservations, wedding and extras that upper management has no clue this is even a problem.
Maybe someone will actually read this and take the time to resolve this before I take my business elsewhere
Feel free to respond and I will contact you and we can speak about this
Thank you
Michael

No up grades, all rooms available are garden view/ low grade rooms for premier rooms as told. We were told if we paid for 1/2 we would get 14 days premier free rooms. We were informed yesterday we only get 7 until its paid off, Airline discounts are more than straight rates in unlimited Lifestyles. Still not happy We wish we would have not purchased, Really no discounts

We were on vacation to Cozumel Mexico when we were bombarded with a sales person selling us a dream. And it was a dream from the salesman at the Sunscape Sabor Cozumel. Everything they said about the membership is complete bull! The rate isn't $250 a week per stay, no access to RCI as another person has mentioned. Now that I'm trying to cancel they only operate via email, sketchy, the number provided, no one answers, another red flag. I have paid nearly $3500 and now they want me to pay $8125 to cancel. I have no use for this and was scammed in the membership and honestly was ok with parting ways even without being refunded the $3500. They need to be dealt with!
And to add their "Quality Assurance Rep" is a local person that essentially said I was a child and didn't know how to read. Wondering if there would be an repercussions if I just don't pay if they refuse to cancel. Buyer's remorse should be enough, along with the fact that there is no real savings and everything that they told us was a lie.
Unlimited Vacation Club staff scammed my husband and i
Within a week, we realized we bought nothing but "air" from unlimited vacation club. We called and asked for the contract to be cancelled and they would not. I said my husband has cancer and we could not afford the money. They didn't care. So we were stuck paying over $12000 Canadian dollars. We should've have looked at reviews.
We want to spread the word how dissatisfied we are and let people know that the vacation club is a scam.
Desired outcome: Our money, or some of our money back

Premiere night and VIP nights
When we signed we were told after completion of final payment we would receive 2 free weeks now they are not honoring that because that is not what our contract says. We feel we were told this just to get us to sign.
Now our VIP weeks are expiring(haven't committed to book with all the Covis restritions) and I was told after the expriration they would extend it 3 more months and you refuse to give me this statement in writing.
I was burnt once and feel when that day comes you'll say it's not in writing. All I want is this stated in writing.
We are totally regreting signing up with you and I feel i will need to report you to the better business and other reviews because you do not follow thru with your promises.
I just had someone I know going to one of your resort and said if they approach you about this RUN!
I would never refer someone to sign up.

Refusing to process a valid refund
I booked the wrong hotel through UVC and asked for a refund in order to book another one that they offer within a few minutes. They stated that the refund would be no problem and returned to me — and I continued to book the vacation our family wanted.
After about a month we never received the refund for almost 1, 000 dollars and continued to contact them. We were forced to ask for a chargeback through our bank. This got UVC's attention and they blocked our account prior to the vacation until we would cancel the chargeback and provide proof it was cancelled. The chargeback was cancelled with the bank (big mistake) and proof was provided to UVC for the cancellation. The following day after receipt of the cancellation UVC ‘accepted the chargeback' and ‘no longer has the money'. Poor business practice to accept it after confirming it was cancelled and no longer existed. We were told it would take up to a month for the refund to process. Several months later and ‘it's with the bank'. Bank has confirmed it surely is not.
Do not trust them with your money. Ever
Desired outcome: Refund processed
Thank you. I will continue to update here if there is any resolution
Hi. I have attempted to work through this over the phone and email and UVC has failed to send me any of the written documentation as requested.

Sept of 2020 when attending sons wedding we where sold 2 weeks every year for the next 15 years. Cost $10, 000. Client number DI1-002900. Now we are told we only that we only get 14 days the 1st year and that the following years are at 25% discount. Trying to get thru to a supervisor is impossible. Waited on hold for 45 minutes only to be disconnected. Called back and was told a supervisor would call us, Never happened.

Scam
My sister and I signed up for the Vacation club while vacationing in Cancun, May 2021, and it was too good to be true, we were told for $499.00 a room for a couple. Would be able to stay at the resort and have up to eight rooms, which was a LIE, we paid $1100.00 down, and $120.00 a month for five years. When we called to book, they said it's not true we would have to pay $2200.00 for unlimited, we could have called Apple vacations and got this same amount. This is such a scam I am a single mother of three and my sister is a single mother of two, and you guys will take someone money like this, we have children and all we wanted was to show our kids culture and see other countries, sham on Vacation Club, that you would take people money like this!

The Club Membership
I will say that I am not happy with UVC and my next question is how to sell it. Every since we bought it we have now been approached numerous times to sell. Currently I am dealing with a company named HOPATO and they are offering to buy us out. Can anyone tell me about your experience selling a UVC membership? Will UVC buy memberships back, seems like a good option to me?
Thanks You!

Said you will can all my contract but will not refund deposit
We signed up on 7/27/21 at the beginning of our vacation. We haven't been one one in 12 years. We were live bait in hindsight. Long story short. We didn't get a copy of our contract when we left, it was only after we got back home in the states I was able to find a way to screen shot the document. We realized it wasn't for us. It was 1 week after signing. I immediately started the process of canceling. Certified letter and all the emails I could send too and phone calls. Now 2 weeks later I receive an email saying they will cancel but will not refund the 11k we put down ( half down). I will be recontacting profeco and my attorney and a list of. Other ppl as well. I kindly ask you to refund our credit cards or at the very least start a conversation with me while I'm the one you are dealing with.
Regards, Sheila b.
