bad delivery, no recourse
I have a retail business that opened in October, 2008. It is a storefront in a strip mall on a prominent corner in a small town. I have a sign both on the street and above the store. BIG illuminated letters, 20 full feet of windows, address prominently displayed, and hours of operation, 6 days a week, posted clearly to the immediate left of the door. My customers have no trouble seeing the hours, and neither does Fed Ex. UPS, however, cannot seem to deliver my inventory.
Since October, UPS has failed to deliver FIVE shipments. When I track them. I find that they claim to have "attempted" delivery three times, and sent a postcard. All of which is pure nonsense, of course. No notice has ever appeared, and no postcard has ever been sent. In fact, they drive right by and pretend they attempted delivery. I have had to pick up my packages from their distribution center three times, and complained them into actually delivering them twice.
Whenever I know I am being sent anything through UPS, I stay all over it. Just today, though, I called a shipper regarding inventory that was supposed to arrive last week. I thought it was being sent Fed Ex, and wondered why I hadn't received it yet. Lo and behold, UPS had it. I got the tracking number, and called them just before they sent it back! Now, this isn't Aunt Tillie's birthday gift, this is product, and each day I don't have it is a day I can't sell it. So I tell them I have had enough. I want to pick up all my packages because their drivers are lazy and undependable. Guess what? The stupidvisor mumbles on that gee, golly whiz, she doesn't think the clerks would be able to call me or e-mail me that a package was there, but the drivers could just leave a notice. I repeated that the drivers don't leave notices, adding that she clearly doesn't understand the problem. She says it was three different drivers. I said that tells me she has big employee problems, and that it is as systemic as I suspected. I'm not hiding the storefront, I tell her. I don't have an invisibility cloak over the sign. Well, gosh, she just doesn't know what to do. I asked for someone who did know what to do, and gee, there really isn't anybody. Yeah, right.
I finally gave up, hung up and changed my purchase orders to read, "PLEASE SHIP FED-EX ONLY!"
Incredible.

lost my mail
I sent a package through them which included my fingerprints and social security number-- THEY LOST IT and cannot find it. The manager is a jerk. He did not care and was unwilling to do anything except "put a tracker" on it. They are not trust worthy. I wish I would have read the other complaints before I did business with them. Because of the important information that was contained in the package, I have contacted my lawyer.

the letter was sent out through the postal service certified. I the manager took this letter personally to the post office as we have to with all certified letters. the post office signed off that they recived it, but the letter didnt show up in there tracking system, for what ever reason, for a couple of days. the letter was recived and all was well, just a case of an impatient ignorant person who likes to complain.
unable to change delivery options for international package
Lenovo from China shipped a laptop to me to the United States.
On the first delivery attempt on 11/26, the driver left a note that another attempt will be made on Monday 12/1 which is after thanksgiving. I called the phone number listed, I asked the package to be held at the local UPS office, so that I can pick it up. The automated message said there was a problem with processing the request and that I should try later.
Later I used the website to do the same. It was the thanks giving weekend and so the following monday I went to the UPS center and they said the package was again out for delivery and that it was the third attempt. Apparently there was another attempt made on 11/28 at 5pm, which was earlier than what the note said. If I had known that, I would have been home at that time. I was given a phone number which the automated message didn't help.
I came back and went to the website again where I tried to change the delivery method and I got an error which asked me to call [protected].
When I called that phone number and I was told that it was the wrong phone number and that I should call [protected]; but the lady was kind enough to transfer me.
I am tired of running around behind UPS and most importantly waiting for the express package to arrive.

unreliable delivery
UPS is our chosen payroll delivery company. Recently they have proven to be the flakiest, most unreliable one. At Christmas time, we paid our employees on Wednesay, Christmas Eve, because we were closed the rest of the week. The package was Next Day Air. It reached us here in Alexandria, but our delivery driver "forgot" our package at the hub. If this wouldn't have been payroll, I would not have cared as much.
When I started calling UPS, they said they would leave our local hub a message to call us back within 1 hour to let me know if I can just pick up our package. The local hub is less than a mile from the office. They did not call. We called the 800 number back, and they said the first message was never sent, and they w0uld send another. We would receive a call within the hour. They refuse to connect you or give the number of local hub. We played this game 3 times. Finally, I was told it was arranged to be delivered by 5pm. So, an hour later, at 4:45, the local hub calls and tells me that they have found our package and can go ahead and pick it up. WHAT? They just said it was being delivered. I have been trying to pick it up all damn day!
So this week wednesday, our first payroll of the new year, the driver goes to our payroll company to pick up our payroll. They pick up all packages EXCEPT ours. It is left behind. So, they pick it up the next day on thursday. This was originally to be sent Next Day Air, so it's already a day late. I start tracking the package to be sure the "Christmas Debacle" doesn't happen again. The package is guarenteed to be here by 10am. Well, after a cross country tour, it arrves in Lafayette this morning where adverse weather conditions were reported on the tracking history. OK, it is 70 degrees and sunny in Lafayette today! How are those adverse conditions? It arrives in New Orleans at 7:50 and leaves at 9am. We are 4 hours away from New Orleans. So, they've missed the 10:30 delivery for sure. And they are definelty too late for the package to have been put on the delivery truck this morning. I call, and all they tell me is what is on the tracking summary online. I wanted to know if the truck would come directly here from New Orleans, or stop at the hub. I am willing to pick up the package again. But, I am not waiting until 5pm for someone to "feel" like calling and telling me it's available. I am going to request we change our delivery to FedEx. This is highly unacceptable, expecially when it comes to employee paychecks. Wish Me Luck!

ups cambie: devious hidden fees
UPS Store on Cambie near 18th likes to convey impression that they are just like the post office, so when you ask them to weigh something for postage, they put it on a meterless scale and add a hefty premium to whatever Canada Post would charge. You then pay them, and likely you would leave it as that as they tell you they will take care of it. Little do you know that they then take the package or envelope to a metered scale and apply postage sticker that is a lot lower than you just paid. I am not against UPS charging a service charge for doing basic Canada Post duties but they should announce this to the customer or have it posted on the prices board. They don't do this because they want you to think of them as like Canada Post. Beware, especially the Cambie near 18th branch.

late/no delivery
I'm in Gig Harbor, WA, and was affected by bad weather here over Christmas. Still, a gift I ordered for my husband that was supposed to arrive on 12/22 is still not here on 12/30. Every day, the UPS website shows that the package will be delivered "today", yet when the day comes and goes, the date simply rolls over to the next day. So I have zero confidence right now that my package will arrive at all. I've called once so far but they basically said there's not much they can do, just wait and see. I have a feeling they'll be hearing from me again when the package does not show up today.
My mom also paid $128 to have a package sent next day air from Detroit on 12/23, but that package hasn't arrived yet either. Is it fair to charge someone $128 when you know you can't make the guarantee? I'll bet they smiled at her, looked her in the eye, lied to her, and took her money, knowing full well they were covered by their "no guarantees during holidays" clause.
I would advise anyone to not use UPS. Use Fedex instead. The packages I sent Fedex managed to get to my mom by Christmas, and the weather in Detroit was no better than it was here. So explain that one, UPS.

The office I am referring to is located at 345 Brush Ave in the Bronx NY.
I too had an experience with this same ups office. They left a delivery attempt notice on 11/23/10 so I took the day off on 11/24 to receive the package. Around 5:55 I opened my door to find another notice indicating their attempt to deliver. I was home all day and no one rang the bell or knocked on the door. I spoke to an agent at the 800 number who stated I would hear from someone within the hour which I did. Someone by the name of Ms. Alexandra called to tell me the driver was gone for the day. Ms. Alexandra claimed to be a supervisor and when I inquired of her Supervisor the call was abruptly disconnected. I would like to file a formal complaint regarding this situation and plan on visiting the center the next day they are open. This is not a professionally run office and it seems the delivery people need closer supervision in their vans.
KODAK CANT LOOK UP WHAT WAS SENT TO THEM, UNLESS YOU HAVE THE TRACKING NUMBERS, WHICH UPS DOESNOT SUPPLY YOU ON RETURNS.
I USED UPS FOR RETURNING TWO DEFECTIVE ESP3 KODAK PRINTERS AND UPS CAN'T TELL ME THE SHIPPING NUMBERS. THEY SAID I SHOULD HAVE WRITTEN THEM DOWN! UPS SHOULD NOT BE USED WHEN THERE OTHER SHIPPERS TO TRY. THEY HAD ME TALK TO A VERY SICKENING SUPV. WHO WANTS TO ACT LIKE SHE IS SOMEONES MOTHER INSTEAD OF A HELPFUL BUSINESS PERSON.
liarrrrs
First off this number given does not work they may call you but you maybe not call back... great rightttt NOT so i my package was suppose to come 5 days earlier than it did. I got one part of the package and not my skis therefore had to miss my ski trip. They told me that my package was at the central location THIRTY MINUTES AWAY so i went out there to get them and they could not find them and told me they were on delievery... first lie i got home then they were not there so called ups they had someone call me and then they said they were closing in 15 minutes and i could come get them so i said id be right there since i was already on the road... then they said welll we actually dont know where they are SECOND LIE. so they finally came to the conclusion that i would not beable to get them until monday soo today is monday i was suppose to go pick them up but some lazy piece of ### women did not put in the request so then i was going to meet the driver to get them. So i drove and sat at the stop where i was suppose to meet him for THIRTY MORE MINUTES then drove up and down the road. THIRD LIE... now i am still waiting for the call to get them

They really do suck! I was supposed to get my package yesterday but they didn't deliver it because they didn't feel like it LITERALLY! Then today they were supposed to drop it off at a ups pickup point and when I went there it wasn't so now they said that they'll try to deliver tomorrow
3 boxes for our business full of merchandise customers are waiting for were supposed to be delivered Thursday 2/20. Not delivered.
Friday 2/21 Tracking info “On truck for delivery” Friday night no delivery tracking says “Your package has encountered a delay”
Monday 2/24 “On truck for delivery” then in afternoon tracking says “Exception”. We contact UPS. On hold for an hour. Told being transferred to supervisor. Hung up on. Call back. Try to arrange to pickup packages since they are not being delivered. On hold for hour and a half. Hung up on again.
Tuesday 2/25 “The package was left in a UPS facility. / Delivery rescheduled.” Call, email, fax, live chat UPS customer service for a total of 7 hours today. Finally told Boxes are behind “the center” in a trailer and they will not go find the box and will call us when they get around to looking for it.
Here is their reply: “"I am very sorry you did not receive a call as quickly as expected. After reviewing the updated notes in our system, I have confirmed your package is unavailable for pick up today, 02/25/14, as requested. The local Management team indicated your package is located on a trailer that can hold hundreds, if not thousands, of additional packages. Due to this, your package is unavailable at this time and I recommend continuing to monitor the situation online at UPS.com for updated scans; this will provide the current status of your package.”
So you know where my package is and made a mistake for a week now but it’s too much work to fix it so we will just wait until you get around to finding our packages. This is UNACCEPTABLE.
rude, unprofessional driver
The driver that just delivered my package was totally rude and unprofessional. Granted my dog barks at everyone and especially the door bell. However, I have never opened the door before and had any delivery person start swinging their clipboard madly. That's probably why my 20# mutt started acting like he was going to protect me. Mind you... he only barked... but this driver wouldn't quit swinging his clipboard aggressively even though I asked him to stop. Then when I finally caught the dog who was chasing this wildly swinging clipboard back and forth the driver was very short with me. He told me he couldn't bring the package up our snowy driveway and I would have to have someone come to the truck. I requested his name and he got real defensive and wanted to know why. I told him he was rude and of course then I definitely didn't get his name. I guess I should have asked him if he preferred me to send my 5 year old or 2 year old down the lane to get the package. Gee, what happened to the UPS drivers having 2 wheeled carts? Oh well, I left my children unattended and drove my SUV to get the package.
My suggestion is don't hire drivers who have a dog phobia and secondly teach the drivers to ask for assistance if needed and not just be rude and demand customers do things.
I am sorry if our little mutt scared him. However, I had already figured that a 100# package would be difficult to bring up our snowy lane and if he'd been a little courteous, I would have offered that I drive down the lane to get the package. I did it anyway, but now I know what I never ship my packages with UPS.

If they don't like the job get a new one. UPS services are costly and jobs are hard to come by.
hi sorry to hear about ur prob, but the real prob is with the bosses they expect that driver to delivery that package in secs if he dont they will ask him why when he gets back most driver r really nice but ups dont look after driver or cust, its all about money, the driver prob a really nice guy but ups bully and stress driver out, but he had no reason to b rude,
unbelievable incompetence
UPS ruined the Christmas for my family with ineptitude and compounded it with lies. I sent by UPS the Christmas gifts for my brother and his family on the 1st of December. On the 8th I was contacted by UPS that they need a different address because it was a rural PO box. This made no sense at all since they have been delivering to the same address for 8 years previous AND everyone knows that the procedure for this is to leave a notice in the PO box for the receiver to pickup. But since they called I gave them the residential address, but they messed up when they took down the new address because they changed the numeric portion but NOT the name of the street. I had a premonition about all this and called the 1-800 number to get tracking info on 9th and found this out, so I corrected them (or so I naively thought). On the 11th, my brother call to tell me he received a notice about a package but the UPS center at his end could not or would tell him what happened to the pack. So on the same day, I call UPS again and found out that they tried to deliver to the wrong address because NO ONE made any correction to the records dispite my previous calls. The operator told me they would attempt another delivery on the 15th or the 16th. But since my brother told me he did not received it I called that day (17th) and was told it was being "delivered as we speak". Friday, 19th December 2008, 14 business days later, I called UPS and was informed that the package was missing. The further demonstrated just how bad UPS is, I had sent on 16th Dec a package by USPS (that's United States Postal Service) to the same address, and it arrived on the 18th. It took USPS 2 days to deliver what UPS could not in 14 business days.

Wow, that's absurd.
beware a seasonal scam
UPS contacted me for a seasonal Driver Helper position. I was told, I would have plenty of work. They did not quote the pay until orientation day, which is only 8.50 per hour.
The web site position stated benefits would be included. However, told during orientation they are not included.
Even though it was part time, I was told I would work more hours - which I was very happy to hear.
The first day was 4 hours to get cleared through back ground in which I did not get paid. Then 4 hours orientation and I had to buy black boots, a rain jacket.
I'm to be ready for work and available between 10-6p - on call and dressed everyday and ready to get out the door immediately on call.
I've been ready every day, dressed and showered ready for work.
Paula, the Manager at UPS called me for a job, and said I had to be there at Carls Jr. on San Canyon in Irvine in 15 minutes.
With stop lights etc. it would have taken me a half hour. I told her it would be impossible to meet the driver at that time - I needed a half hour.
If you cannot make a job call, then Paula's policy (even though she was unrealistic) is to put people at the 'bottom of the list'.
I've tried calling her every day.
Her office people state to call her cell number because she is not available. However, her cell number voice mail is always full and you can't leave a message. Paula NEVER answers the cell phone.
I was promised work and I am available for work. This women needs to be taken off the job.
I applied a week ago, spent money on the shoes that was to buy our Christmas tree and keep my cell phone on for employment calls. I used gas to run around to find the shoes I had to buy. Then the rain coat to stay warm, it's been pouring. I thought I would recoop the money from working.
Now, I'm in the whole for money that was to be used to keep my cell phone on in an attempt to find more work, when UPS point blank told me that I would have plenty of work. I've been sitting here at 10a every morning until 4p - ready to work. Paula is cruel.
Paula is a very unorganized Manager. She has a terrible attitude and a border line B----. It is obvious she cannot handle her job. Because she is unorganized, others suffer and it's cost me time, money, that I did not have.
I really needed this work more than anything and UPS staff lied to me and wasted the last bit of money I had left. They stole from me. This company is baiting and switching people. They hire anyone and everyone, telling them they will be on call and have plenty of work. However, They do not have plenty of work. They just use you, take advantage of poor people in hard times.
I have been treated the worst I have ever been treated by a manager and company. I can't believe they do this to people during the holidays. Cold heart'd and cruel.
UPS is NOT the best company to work for. They 'personally' brag about it a lot, telling themselves this. I am sure they are the ones who place that bragging ad in the articles. But, these people are ### and heartless.
There was NO work for me, they LIED. They obviously over hired and make promises they could not keep. I have to suffer.
Beware, before you assume you have a job or help these people during the holiday season. Try NOT to get on Paula's team which is the Irvine area. You will end up paying for it and making NO money.
All I needed was an extra 300.00 to keep my phone on, buy a tree for Christmas and pay a couple utility bills. I cannot pay rent on Jan 1, but still needed the money to keep my cell phone going for employment calls and gas to get to interviews even if I am going to be evicted.
I use to work for corp america and make about 90K a year. However, now told by HR Generalist's (kids) in corporate america; at 50, I am 'over qualified' for a job I've been doing for 20+ years. So been unemployed for over a year and a half.
I am a grown women. This pay was not going towards 'party money' while home for college. I have serious bills to pay and no parents to bail me out or go home to when hungry.
I'm sending this to the CEO of UPS and all the executives.
You used me for your own benefit. This was 'bait and switch'. There was no real work for me. At least I have not seen any. Or, is it my age. Is this age discrimination ?
Ps- we were also point blank told "even if you have the flu or sick, you have to show up for work - or we won't call you again."
UPS is the worst company in the world to work for.

stolen and undelivered items
I live in a very large gated upscale apt community with an easily accessible management office. I received a post card from ups that they were unable to deliver my package (From the same company they have delivered from numerous times) because the apt # was left off. Ups did not bother to leave it at the management office. Instead, they said they could not re-deliver when I called them and then stated I would need to drive 10 miles to retrieve the package when the nearest ups office is less than a mile away. They offered no solution whatsoever to re-route the package back to the appropriate apartment.
Secondly, within the past 3 weeks, another ups driver supposedly left a package at my door (Unsigned for, of course) and I never saw the package. I have had the post office and fedex leave packages without incident. I have a private entrance to my apartment that is covered and not easily seen by passers-by so I doubt seriously that it was stolen. I highly suspect (But cannot prove) that the driver was looking for free christmas presents. Well, he got the package intended for my 84 yo father with milton berle and roy roger movies so.. Ha! Ha! Ha!
No more ups for me... I will tell all of the people I shop on line with that I will pay the extra cost using the post office or fedex or dhl but never ups again!

My fiance and I just received our thousand plus dollar ASUS laptop shipment we ordered two days ago via Amazon Prime, the only problem was that there was no laptop in the box when we opened it. It was dropped at 6:15 PM on our front doorstep in San Antonio, TX, we knew because the Chihuahua started barking. The driver was gone when the box was taken in a few minutes later. No bother on the part of Amazon to require a signature from the recipient (one would think that would be standard for such a high value item). The outside packaging looked fine. The shipping stated 6 lbs, however, it was about 5 lbs short of that. I opened the shipping box from the bottom. The inside manufacturer box had a rip on its side. The laptop was gone but the accessories were left behind. Upon closer inspection I found that the clear packing tape on the top of the box had been cut open and then carefully re-taped. I don't know why Amazon wouldn't ship expensive items with their tamper evident logo tape. Very disappointed in Amazon and UPS. Waiting to see if Amazon will refund for the missing item.
My dad, a retired collage professor and very meticulous, packed up my moms silver plated tea service and sent it to me. He also put in a sterling silver pair of salt shakers, a silver cup given to me upon my baptism - I was a Catholic baby, and a box with a shot glass in it that he brought back with him from Dublin Ireland.
When I opened the box the tea service was intact, however the salt shakers, baby cup and shot glass were gone. There is some small evidence of tampering…. I am livid and I intend to fight this as far as I can…. I say lets all unite.

First of all, turn off your caps key. Secondly, the first part of your complaint is completely without merit, and you sound like a baby. There's no doubt in my mind that if UPS had left the package at the office that you'd be on here crying that they didn't check with the office to see which apartment in your "upscale" community was yours and that they were lazy because they didn't. Also, I'm sure that you would be crying because UPS left your package "with someone who wasn't you, and what if got lost, blah blah blah, how irresponsible of them."
Finally what you refer to as a "UPS office" was probably a UPS store which isn't actually owned by UPS (it's an independent business licensed to use the UPS name and only acts as a collection point for people who want to ship their packages) and wouldn't have your package anyway. And really, I'm sure it makes you sad that you had to drive ten whole miles to get your mislabeled package, but you can finally stop crying like a child about it. Really, it's going to be ok.
low quality employee and control system
I totally Agree UPS is so far the worst shipping company in the US. i have numerous of problem with UPS that i just hope the online retailers won't use UPS as their carrier. But, sometime they just do, and its a pain. UPS is rotten from the top to the bottom. I had so many problem receiving packages from UPS, partially because we do not have a door bell system in our apartment, and the delivery people just refuse to give me a phone call so that i can come down stair and sign it. they would rather waste all of our time going back and forth. But this is not the worst, after 5 days of useless back and forth conversation and redelivery request, i asked the customer service, when exactly do they deliver the package in my area, i will just wait outside for them, the customer service A says from 4pm to 5 pm. so i went outside and wait in the cold for one hour, no success, call customer service B, now this guy says 5pm -7pm, i was very pissed, but still i thought if i gave up right now, the past hour that i waited would be totally wasted. so i waited outside for another 2 hour. the UPS person never came, how ridiculous! they were supposed to deliver that day, but they didn't. Next day, same situation repeat. Out of furious, i decided i would talk to their supervisor, i got Mr. Farid from California i believe from the main office to talk to me, he was very apologetic and assure me that he will personally take care of my case and make sure the delivery person leave my package the next day. Still, nothing came next day, i called again, he told me sorry he doesn't know why they didn't deliver, and tell me i had to go to like there temporary storage center to pick it up, i was so upset, didn't i pay for the shipping fee? why do i now still need to go like a thousand mile to pick my stuff up? who will compensate the time i spend on waiting and explaining the situation patiently over and over again with the Customer Rep? NO BODY. IS THIS HOW THEY RUN The BUSINESS? i really don't understand. And finally i decided alright i'm going to have my friend drive me there to pick up my long waiting package, we found out that the package weren't there as they said, it was on the truck, and we had to wait for like 3 hours for it to come back. we don't have time to wait, so we decided that we want the rep in the center to give us his name so we can assure we get the package next time. Interestingly, he doesn't have the name tag, refuse to give us his name, and he wasn't even looking at us while he speak, like we are people who don't exist. i ask him to bring his supervisor, ha, he said the supervisor is not here. how amazing? so we called the main office and decide to report this situation, the supervisor just suddenly popped up from no where. of course she cannot do nothing either, useless, but at least she got a name this time. I really hope people who suffer from their terrible service would all speak up, and let this company knows who is the boss.
First of all, speak correct english. Second of all the drivers do not have company issued cell phones so they arent required to call you and waste their minutes on someone whos doorbell is broken. They offer you the option to pick it up because they want you to have your package. Delivery times cant be guaranteed either unless its sent next day air. If youre too cheap to pay for air, dont complain about no guaranteed delivery time
phantom delivery
I would like to report a systemic problem of package delivery issues with the UPS Smyrna GA local office.
One three consecutive occasions I have had problems with UPS delivery. Packages being reported as delivered when they havent - packages being delivered on sundays via personal vehicles etc.
I have raised the issue multiple times with the UPS office but for some reason it gets swept under the carpet. I believe the problem is a lot higher up than I have been able to report. The issues tend to be forgotten or covered up. This is systemic and corrupt.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Back in December, O8 I discovered the
"PHANTOM DELIVERY". Online it stated delivered
the next day I went to pick up the package at the local
UPS office. Well here it is March, 09 and the same thing is happening again.
delays, billing
UPS at a glance.
After having about 2 - 3 parcels a month delivered to us we have the following everyone should know about UPS.
1) expect delays. the drivers don't bother leaving behind any notifications of "attempts of delivery". they refuse to come up to even give the parcels. expect your parcel to be delayed or returned, at your expense.
2) brokerage fees, extremely high. no more needs to be said. look at the other complaints and get a feel of the high dose they charge, be prepared to pay. (RMS is who they send after you if you don't, apparently we didn't pay a bill they sent; we're positive this bill was never received; most likely because they were too lazy to send it).
3) the customer service, try to schedule a pick up? nothing close by, since packages go to the main shipping centre for pick up, and not your local UPS (why bother opening stores everywhere?). want to wait for a package? sure, 9am - 9pm. they fail to realize people have a life to attend to, university, chores, and a job. oh and by the way, on many desparate days I had family wait at my place for the package to be recieved as they said it would be delivered the following day; that day, waited all day, UPS didnt arrive.
More references by other distressed UPS customers are found on Ebay Forums. How the company is functioning is beyond me.
ups delivery
I was returning merchandise through a pre-paid UPS package. I went to a staples shipping center. They took my package with my label and secured it properly by sealing it with the lable and tape.
The company I sent it too called and emailed me a few days later saying that the contents I sent wasn't the correct contents.
I use this company all the time. The contens should have been a Sprint Air-card for my laptop, instead the company received a package of Cotton Swabs. UPS Claimas that if the package wasn't opened or damaged then what I put in the package was incorrect, and it wasn't their fault. The first customer service person was trying to hurry me off of the phone because he said he couldn't wait for me to call the receiving company on another line. I wanted to get the both of them on the phone at the same time to work this out. However, the UPS customer service person was very rude and hung up.
Now, one might say that I may have plaec the wrong contents in the envelop. This didnt happen. i am being charged over 500 dollars to replace the card. Which should have only cost 90.00 I have no gain on doing this. The Air card has a tracking device, and the company is looking into seeing if it can be tracked.
It appears that there is some foul play when the card was dropped off by me with a receipt, and delivered by UPS.
The flaw is there is no way of telling the contents.

UPS driver left note that a 2nd attempt would be made to deliver next weekday. No attempt was made next day or the one after. Finally tracked package to their Access Point Gaithersburg, MD. There is no way to contact UPS to make a complaint. Do not use UPS.
Also, it is amazing what GOOGLE will show you if you look:
https://www.ups.com/content/us/en/contact/index.html
Holy Toledo Batman! It is a phone number to UPS.
The next weekday implies this was a Friday, making the next weekday a Monday. What day?
I am a Senior Citizen and also am disabled. This outfit is enough to make you quit buying anything on line ! After I get done here I am calling Amazon and tell them I won't be ordering anymore, from them because UPS does nothing but lie and not deliver my packages that have been sitting there for 3 days ! I have had it and am also going to contact a Lawyer about being treated unfairly. This is a sad way of doing business. What are u people doing for work? You are lazy and do not want to do your job! See you in court !
So I was happily awaiting some body wash and lotion from Bath and body works (Hey guys like to smell good, too!) The tracking left it saying it was left at my front door, which it wasn't. the driver tells customer service that they left it at the back door, it wasn't there. UPS CS then tells me it's not their problem.
If you get the address wrong, they charge you full price AGAIN to ship it back? why you ask? Because if they don't "they don't make any money".
Brutal.
They said they called the recipient "over and over" but did not.
Scam.
You called, claimed the package was received by someone else, UPS tagged your residence so that no package could be left withOUT YOU signing for them, you either didn't answer the door when they knocked and/or didn't read the note on the door saying you could pick up the package at the customer counter, and you want to complain. Do you feel the slightest bit better knowing if you bought a diamond ring that the driver would not drop it off under your doormat knowing that the shirt snatcher would take it as well? RTFM or RTF N(note)
I recently have had a "war" of sorts with UPS. Back in July, my husband ordered some shirts which never arrived. The company claimed they had delivered the items to our house on July 25 and a woman had received them. Funny thing is, we were out-of-state on that date and no one was at our home. Now, UPS will not deliver to our home because we had a claim. So either someone broke into our home for the sole purpose of taking those shirts and then left our home locked or the delivery guy delivered to the wrong house. I am sure it wasn't option "A" so that means we are being punished for the mistake of their delivery guy. My husband wrote to the company and their response was that we had a claim so things cannot be left unless someone is there to sign for them. Funny thing is, twice, the note on the door has said they tried to deliver when we WERE home. So it seems the delivery person is playing games with us. I tend to do a lot of on-line shopping over the holidays, but now won't be able to unless I want it delivered to my work and increase the workload of the frong office staff. Needless to say, I feel like the little guy doesn't every win!
please take action
Delivery sucks
An item was shipped to me via UPS. I received a note on my door the first day they attempted to deliver it(I was at work and came home at 4:45pm). The note said that they would deliver it the next day between 2 and 5 pm. I took off from work and went home so that I could get the package. As soon as I got home I called the company who said they would alert...

I have visited my mother in Jasper, Indiana on several occasions. Each time I am in Jasper the same UPS man delivers packages in her neighborhood. He pulls up with the music blaring so loud you can hear it from the street with a cigarette protruding from his mouth and he is always on his cell phone talking so loud that you can hear him over the blaring music. All the neighbors complain that he runs through stop signs without a second glance. Jasper is a small place so we see the same man often around the local square and other businesses as we go through town. I cannot seem to locate a website to complain about this man but I did get his name when he came to the door of my mothers home - Kevin. The smell of cigarettes hit me as soon as I opened the door. I used to think that a man in uniform of any kind stood for something. The neighbor said that he spoke to one of his buddies and this man had even been arrested for drinking a while back. If these people are going to operate vehicles then we feel that they should not have any type of alcohol related charges against them, not smoke or speak on cell phones while operating a vehicle and adhere to all traffic signs and signals. How can you possibly know what is going on around you when you are on the phone and doing several things at once. This should be against the law. He will hurt someone someday!
This woman is complaining because he smokes. Get a life. I did not know that smoking was against the law. She sounds like a cronic complainer
terrible service
I paid for overnight shipping of a law book I needed for the following week. When the book didn't arrive, I called the company. The book had been returned to the company because supposedly no one was home to receive the book. To the best of my memory, not only was I at home, but so was my husband. The driver did not leave a note that he had attempted delivery nor did he leave the package with a neighbor, as is customary.
BUT, the best part is, when I tried to file a complaint with UPS, "Juan", informed me that there was no way to file a complaint because the driver did not leave a package. When I was requested a supervisor, I was put on hold, and loand behold! the line went dead.
I would be an idiot to use UPS again for anything.

Package was shipped out on Friday 4/ 17 and supposed to be arrive at my house two days after that. Here we are Wednesday of next week and I find that the package was that someone "tried" to deliver it not too long ago but "no one was here to pick it up". Yeah right, I've been sitting here in my living room with anticipation waiting for my package for hours. There were no doorbell rings, knocks, or anything else that would been helpful. Hopefully I'll have better luck next time or my wrath will be unleashed. If I had things my way, I wouldn't be dealing with them in the first place. For as long as I can remember I've had problems with them. From damn near being run over by one of their negligent drivers as a kid to now where it takes a light-year to get something that was supposed arrive in two days. I don't know, man. I just don't know.
First delivery attempt made 12/19/2008 @ 3:28pm. A notice/slip was never left indicating an attempt was made. Knowledge of delivery attempt was known through online tracking.
At 5:46pm (12/19), called UPS to track package for pick up at UPS center. UPS said a representative would call within the hour to confirm the time of pickup.
At 6:55pm (12/19), called UPS again to state that a representative from the center had never called. An attempt was made to change the delivery method to have the package sent to an alternate address with a doorman. UPS said, such an attempt would push back the delivery date (earliest delivery would be on 12/23). Therefore, I told UPS I would rather pick up the package the next day at their center.
At 9:41am (12/20), called UPS to confirm package was at the location specified. They said a representative from the center would call within the hour. I was told that if I did not receive a phone call that I can be assured that the package would be at the location since a request was made from the night before.
At 12:24pm (12/20), called UPS again since they had never called me to confirm my package would be at the center. I needed a confirmation from them since I would be using my lunch hour from work and renting a car. I was assured yet again that the package would be there.
About 1:45pm (12/20), an attempt to pick up the package at the specified location... the agent had said that a second delivery attempt was made to my apartment. The package "was never pulled from the truck" despite several calls to UPS.
At 1:58pm (12/20), called UPS to complain regarding the situation. I changed the address to have the package delivered to my friend's address with a doorman. A promise was made that the package would be delivered on 12/22/2008. I was also told that I would receive a phone call to confirm delivery.
As of yet, I have NEVER received a phone call from UPS.
**IF YOU WANT YOUR PACKAGE DELIVERED, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH UPS. I WILL NEVER AGAIN DEAL WITH A COMPANY THAT USES UPS. TERRIBLE SERVICE.
I used UPS for a commercial shipment that could have lead to repeated high value business. The pallet of material arrived 3 days late (not counting the weekend) UPS said they would have the depot call and exlain the situation. Call never came. When the shipment arrived the pallet severely damaged. (see attached) Never again UPS ([protected]) and this will be our corporate policy. JSH Ex. VP.
I dont hate much... I hate UPS. UPS should stand for UndersizedPeniS cause there not pleasing anyone.
I give up trying to complain to UPS 3 times they said undeliverable no 1home lies lazy driver. Once they left a package on my porch containing a 1, 500 antique rifle I live in chicago a miricle I got it first. Now they leave my package at the wrong address and lie to me saying I signed for it. two days later a nieghbor rings my door bell and says I found this on my porch the other day. I used to think the usps sucked but all the bad ones must have quit and been hired by UPS.
This is commonplace. The drivers never actually attempt to deliver anything to anyone. UPS has cost me more time and money than the packages they were supposed to deliver are worth. And their "local" shipping centers are far from local. After their non-delivery attempts I am always forced to go to a dangerous industrial neighborhood in the middle of nowhere, by taxicab, to pick up my packages. Last time, I paid $40 in cabs to pick up a package worth $15.
Do not use UPS. It is like volunteering your time and money just to frustrate yourself. Next time I see a UPS driver I am going to give him the finger.
UPS never attempts to deliver to my neighborhood. I don't know if it's because it is an urban neighborhood and they are frightened, or if it's because they figure no one is home during the day (yes we are home if we took the day off to specifically stay home and wait for a package!), or if it's just sheer incompetence and laziness, but they never come here, never ring the bell, and certainly do not leave an infonotice. I've had this issue with them for years and they have never made any effort to rectify the situation or explain to me why this always happens.
UPS is a waste of space and I am through with them.
UPS is the WORST SHIPPING COMPANY IN THE WORLD. I was expected a package scheduled by UPS to be delivered on 27th Oct 2009. There was no show on the 27th. On the 28th, I stayed home all day waiting for the package with tracking number 1Z9V2E326894543698. (I want anyone from UPS who doubts me to check it and also listen to their recorded conversations on that tracking number). The phone was never delivered though I was home 24 hours. As I talk to you on the 30th of October 2009 I have NOT received the parcel.
The worst thing is that a stupid being from UPS called me with [protected] on my phone to tell me that my package has not being delivered because my phone number on it was wrong. Wow? How could she call me if my number was wrong? If the number is also wrong, what is the direct link between a postal pacakge delivery and phone number? I HATE UPS WITH PASSION AND WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHNG FROM ANYONE ANYWHERE SHIPPING WITH UPS. And if it will cost me everything to ship something using FeDex, USPS, Xpresspost Canada, I will use it.
I am so pissed off with UPS service! They are just so unreliable and do not keep their customers informed about the parcels!
After ordering a laptop i was informed that i'd recieve it by monday, it is now wednesday night and i still havn't recieved anything! I tracked the laptop on their websites, it ''states'' that it is in the UPS depo and is out for delivery and i have been waiting for 3 days!
After calling them up and chasing this matter several times, i get a phone call back from one of the customer service advisors and she tells me that the matter is going in for an investigation! Wtf? What investigation? I mean the package obviously reached the depo and should have been delivered to my house on the date that they stated! And now i have to wait until they figure out what's going on with the delivery which the lady states will take up to 8 days!
I mean this is honestly a joke and it's obvious that this happens to almost every customer who ships with UPS. Now i know not to trust this service ever again!
I ordered a laptop computer intended for a Christmas present on 12/21/08. It was shipped by 2nd day air on 12/22. So far so good.
On 12/23, I checked the tracking number, and found that shipping had been rescheduled and would likely arrive by 12/26. (Though there is no guarantee of even that.)
I called UPS and asked for the reason for the delay. They said they had no idea. I requested a refund or adjustment, since I had paid for 2nd day air service. The representative said UPS does not do refunds. A supervisor gave the same answer, in a bland and bored tone of voice.
This is not the first time I've had problems with UPS. Three times before, they have lost packages I sent or ordered, which were shipped using UPS; left packages on a doorstep in the rain that required a signature, without obtaining one; and shown gross incompetence when asked to explain the reason for the losses and delays and other problems. Getting a refund from this company is a grueling, near-impossible task.
Based on these experiences, I'm recommending to every individual and businessperson I know, to look around for alternative shippers, and avoid using UPS.
unauthorized billing
I wanted to fax some papers and May took them. Didn't answer my question about the price. Just faxed them and told me I owed them 14.50. Plus, when I questioned the price. She told me she'd be happy when I left the store. If you want to be mistreated, yelled at or over charged just go to 5546 Camino Al Norte North Las Vegas NV. store # 2504 and have May or the owner help you. And your sure to get mistreated. Also if you just want to mail a letter. Don't go there they, curse at you for using there mailbox.

UPS sucks!
it takes them more than 2 hours trying to find a package which is just returned, but they failed! UPS services sucks!

I always see them drive by my house, which is not on a main road, in the middle Westchester, and they always claim that I wasn't home. It's complete ###. If you call they just say, "oh sorry..." and then tell you it will be there tomorrow/monday. I think it is a general UPS problem all over the country. My theory is that if they're running late or want to get out early they just save time by skipping deliveries...
I Agree that UPS delivery system have some loopholes which has to be addressed by the UPS Management, my suppliers sent one package under UPS AWB No 1Z65A695 [protected], which was handed over in late July, 09 and still we are chasing their local Karachi office who is deaf & dead.
My suggestion to UPS is to make vaialable an email to your customer so that if they face any negative situation they can contact you, I searched a lot but fail to locate an emai on your web.
