Usenet.nl textbook selling online

They offered 14 days free subscription to the service but when I tried to cancel my account their webpage never allowed me to cancel the subscription.
I had to talk to my bank and cancel my credit card in order to avoid them stealing my money.
Even though they assured the first 14 days were free they debited usd 1, 00 from my account before I cancelled my credit card.
They book they promised did not exist in their database.
Furthermore to this, they asked to install UsenetNLSetup.exe sofware which I discovered later it is mentioned as malware.

I never got an answer from them. They did not refound any money to me so far. I think they do not want to refund the money.

This is a scam that has been ongoing for years. Unfortunately I too was caught out by it. There is now a facebook group called Stop the Usenet.nl scam for anybody who wants to sort this out.

The 1, 00 charge was just a hold on your account. Most buisnesses do this to verify the card, but it should be refunded at the end of the trial. But, they will continue to charge you. Cancel your account as soon as you can. It is not enough to just cancel your card. Don't give up on trying to contact them.

I've recently had a terrible experience with them. I need to warn you, you have to cancel your account with them and get a cancellation confirmation back. If you don't they will rack up bills and eventually send your bill to debt collectors, who will then threaten legal action. Keep trying to cancel. Call if you have to. Harrass the crap out of them, but cancel asap.

I write from Poland (so, my english may be poor, sorry). My full name Is Jakub Barankiewicz. I registrate on service usenet.nl to download one book. I didn't download it, because they don't have it. I cancelled my account on 2 september 2016. A few days later they send to me e-mail with assigment to pay 100 euros. I don't have this money. Do you help me to disengage from them?

I'm sorry to tell you that you are stuck. You have to get a cancellation confirmation back in order to be fully done with them. The only options you have is save up and pay the money back over time, or hire a lawyer to dispute it. Either way, it will cost you.

Usenet.nl usenet providers charging for future services.

I have had similar problems with Usenet providers Usenext and Usenet NL, trying to charge a years subscription in advance.

As they have not yet provided the service, their legal and debt collectors threats are on very dodgy legal grounds.

The terms and cnditions do state that if you do not cancel, you will be charged for a years service.

However, were it to go to court, they cannot claim they have provided the service, as they have not.

In my case, I got threatening emails, and then snail mails. Mails to them were ignored, so I did the same and ignored theirs.

Usenext has stopped pestering me now, 18 months later.

Usenet NL are still pestering me and I am ignoring them.

I'd love go to court and show that they cannot charge for something they have not provided. It is a contractural scam.

I was recommended to this site as I have a previous good experience...like like time are changing...I registered on their site on April 20, got go answer, no access log is until the credit statement...and, without a login I already reported the case on their wed site... I had has an reply what all can deleted...

I signed up for their trial membership and canceled in time just like everyone else leaving a negative review and now they are mailing my home and emailing my account with letters that increase each time in payment. I think its up to 300 euros or whatever their currency is. I'm never paying this... their just wasting money and time mailing me.
Infact, I'll be sending them some of my own mail given I have their return address, I'm going to start mailing all my old batteries, car parts, used oil and other things. I remember some things I learned from those nigerian 419 scams.
Complete scam. I just blocked their domain so they cannot email me, I do a return to sender on all their mail.

Usenet.nl unethical behavior bait & switch tactics

I subscribed to the trial subscription. They were supposed to grant me access to the trial subscription, to download ebooks and files, but they only sent me the access data to the trial subscription when the trial period was nearly exhausted. This prevented me from assessing or evaluating the quality of their services. This is a typical "Bait and Switch" sales tactic. The contact information requires that I make a non-toll-free phone number in the USA or Britain from Europe. Anyone can understand that I will not stay awake in the early morning hours here in Italy to make such a phone within limited USA CET working hours to be told that there are too many inquiries and that I have to wait for a long time (on line) to have them listen to my request. Furthermore, they claim that the email address [protected]@usenet.nl is a NON-REPLY address. They have offices in Holland and San Marino

Usenet.nl internet access to research papers

I signed up for a trial membership but cancelled the very same day via the contact link on their website (1/22/16). On 2/6/16 I received an email stating that the 2 week trial had ended and that I am automatically enrolled as a member, and that am charged a bill for 99.00 EUR. I sent another email via the link cancelling my membership, and received a reply that they have no record of my first email cancellation, thus the bill still stands. Now I have received a bill by mail for 110 EUR (additional fees included). Please note that I did not make use of ANY services by this company. Therefore, I do not feel I should pay anything for never using this service.

Usenet.nl their new web platform is ridiculous!

This site was great, but then they changed their web platform and turned our life into a nightmare! I wanted to cancel my subscription, but now it is absolutely impossible! I sent them several emails, but never received a reply. Then I called Usenet customer service and was put on hold for about 30 minutes ad then disconnected! I cannot update my payment and cannot delete my account and there was absolutely no help from them! Don't use this website, it's a trap!

Hai! I just canceled my subscription yesterday by sending a message via the contact form saying 'I would like to cancel my subscription please, thank you.' And I got a conformation that it was canceled today. Maybe that will help for you too? I am from the Netherlands, so maybe we have a different server, I dont know ^^

on the 11/12/2015 bill arrived from usenet.nl for balance of 80 Euro? why I canceled within the correct time on 14 day trial by pressing cancel button but the say I should of phoned their telephone number +[protected] and explain why I want to cancel, sent them an email saying the above and I owe them Zero Euros. they sent email back saying I didn't follow correct procedure?

I registered with usenet.Nl paying full year of £69.00 this was taken twice in august. Despite many attempts to contact i have been unsuccessful. First payment was 17th august using paypal second payment using debit card

Last Friday (25/3/2017) my account was charged with 99.96 euros for I don't know what. I even wasn't heard the name of that company. On the line of purchase is written [UNF23] Relax 99, 96 EUR. Can somebody help in this matter ?

This is a FRAUD, do not enter this. I was looking for a book and submitted a trial account and then, when the boring subscription process was done, the book that I found in the search option simply doesnt exist in the service. The subscription cancellation is a hard work.

they have taken NZD$150 which is roughly USD$99.
i requested multiple times to cancel my free trial.
they have still made transactions from my debit card now i can't pay my rent or bills.
this is ridiculous.

I did not subscribed as regular or premium member. I don't even subscribed for trial package, but yesterday they charged $99. Did not order any product by me. And I did not make any contract. I did not gave them or somebody else the authorization to charge my card. This is a misunderstanding or fraud.

When I requested a refund they called me a liar because I was charged after a free trial that I never even used. I would love to get back at these so called "service providers."

I am in South Africa and created a profile to use the free trial. I cancelled my subscription the day before my trial ended. The very next day I was charged R1537.25. My customer number is: 9709911. What do I do? I expect full refund for my money! It is not alright to just charge someone's credit card without authorizing.

Usenet.nl 14 day free trial fraud

I have had the same thing happen to me now - I communicated during my 14 day trial stating that the item I wanted to download (which was advertised) isn't actually available so I wish to cancel. They took a couple of days to reply saying I need to go onto their site and cancel. I looked on the site and couldn't see an 'unsubscribe' or anything so I filled out a customer query form again from their site. Days later I got another reply stating that they are sorry for the delay my request is being handled etc. I subscribed to the 14 day free trial because I had seen that Usenet.nl were advertising that they had a specific download that I wanted. To subscribe to their 14 day free trial I had to give my credit card details. After a couple of days I went onto their site to look for the download & it wasn't available so I wrote to them, using their customer query form on their website, stating that I am not interested in continuing with the service they offer as they had advertised something that wasn't available. I received a reply after a couple of days stating that the advert must've been placed by a 3rd party and they have no control over that so it's not their responsibility - but why would a 3rd party advertise something that isn't available and send traffic to the Usenet.nl site? They informed me that in order to cancel my subscription I have to do it on their website. I looked on their site and couldn't see anywhere where I could unsubscribe. so I wrote to them again stating that I can't find how to unsubscribe as there doesn't see to be a link etc. I waited a couple of days and didn't receive a reply from them. Then they deducted ±100 Euros off my card! So I went back onto their site to see what I could do and found that I had to phone either the US or the UK. I phoned the UK number and spoke to a rude woman - from a Chinese call centre I assume. She had all my correspondence on record, and even knew that I had contacted them again asking how can I cancel the subscription as I can't see a link on their website, yet she wouldn't discuss it at length, she said just repeated that the T&C's show inform people after 14 days free trial expires you have to pay! She has obviously been trained at handling complaints and angry people! Yes, I understand that the condition is that if you don't cancel within 14 days you have to pay - but what about the fact that they make it very difficult for you to cancel - slow replies to queries, no easy way on the website to cancel - forcing clients to make an overseas phone call! It is my believe that they delayed in order for my 14 days to expire so that they could take my money. Also, I wanted to dispute it with my credit card company but can't because Usenet.nl don't communicate via email, you have to complete customer query form so I have no proof to send to my credit card company that I informed Usenet from the outset that I didn't want to continue with their service. It's an obvious fraudulent scam and they should be stopped from operating!

Usenet.nl download services

Like many others I have been defrauded by this company. I now intend to do a full investigation and report to the regulatory authorities and the media my findings. So far many complaints about Usenet.nl and paypal ! Many complain that they do not keep to their promise of a 14 day free trail. In my case they even took money from my Paypal account even though I had given another name for the trial. They also avoid their terms by saying they are very busy and can not reply to emails for several days. This way when you cancel the 14 day trial is over run. These people are nothing less than crooks. Beware. Do not use them and pass on the information on the internet as a warning, Facebook, twitter etc.

The exact same thing happened to me, only they resonded to my e-mail refunded the initial $12. I just got a list of the charges on my card, and I was charged $99 this week. My situation is terrible because I made the horrible mistake of using my debit card. I don't know what to do. I e-mailed them again, but they are stealing from countless people. Someone needs to stop them. I was just trying to find a book, which they did not have. I feel very dumb.

Hello,
I made the mistake of using them before reading the comments. And like a complete [censored], I used my creditcard and not PayPal. Can't anyone do anything about this? I am still in my trial period, but no one at usenet will answer me for cancellation.

I tried a trial with Usenet.nl a while back. It was a terrible service, so I contacted them via a web form (the only way to cancel an account) to cancel before the trial ended. My account was cancelled. I went to PayPal to cancel my account there, too, as I do whenever I cancel something. That should've been that. Months later, my account has been mysteriously reactivated and I now supposedly owe them 80 euros. They sent me a letter, which I promptly tore up. I got in contact with them to tell them that I won't be bullied. I have a panic condition, I'm autistic, and these kinds of phishing tactics could lead to a heart attack. I'm not physically well. I did some research online and found that Usenet.nl and fraud seems to go together like bread and butter. Apparently I'm not the only person they've pulled this on. I think that this company needs to be legally investigated.

Usenet.nl I can´t cancel my account

They don´t give an option to cancel my account. They just tell me to call some number explaining why I´m cancelling it. I think this is totally unaccetable! It´s almost like a crime, because if I don´t cancel they will charge me every month!

tried the trial and was sent a notice that i was being charged 99.00 effective the next day. I responded the same day to cancel the trial only to fine out i had to go to another e mail listing to cancel. The original e mail was from a non-response server. So one day late and they are committed to keeping my money. Poor poor customer service ! do not join or take out the trial membership!

Total scammers. Didn't even sign up or use this service, so only heard about them when I started receiving threats of legal action in the post for payment of whatever service they supposedly provide. I wrote back and they ignored my letter and carried on with legal threats. Not a single website has given this company a positive review, so I won't be loosing any sleep over such threats, not when they are well known around the world, having been investigated countless times for their dubious tactics.

Harresment of such nature is a crime in the uk, so Ive instructed them to stop sending threating Mail immediately, if they ignor my request then, that's deemed harresment here So i contact the police, who will prosecute.

Usenet.nl but I never signed up for anything...

It seems that a number of people have been conned by the old "small print for renewing x-day trial" scam. However, the people who have posted on here all complain that Usenet conned them AFTER they had downloaded the free trial. I have downloaded NOTHING! I'm an ICT tech and if I want software I buy it or get beta version from the manufacturer, depending on the software. Yesterday, I got an invoice via Royal Mail and hadn't a clue what it was about until I looked on here and realised someone was trying it on! Tip: I have a pre-pay credit card. When I want to buy something on the Internet, I transfer the amount, plus the £1 fee, from my bank onto the pre-pay card. In that way, no-one can take an unauthorised payment because there's never any money in there unless I deposit for a specific purpose

Usenet.nl deceptive marketing tactics

I'm paying € 1 records in accordance with this site is to open a trial account, paypal account identified by direct debit from my account after 14 days was € 99.96.

I do not want to use the service and request a refund of fees, when I say it's not possible.

1 - Company deceiving customers benefit.
2 - does not cancel the operation.
3 - Customer satisfaction is not important.
4 - hit and run gains formation is provided.

I never used the service. I would request a refund of this amount was taken unaware by me.

Usenet.nl is really terrible, there is no way for us to send email back to them to ensure that they pick up our cancellation.

I did my cancellation last year, this year they charge me again for the renewal fee. I tried sending them email from the email they sent to us but the email has not one reading it...

Please help me to check and request them to reverse to auto-bill transacted today

Why do you continuously keep ripping people off? Seems that your system could easily see that people are not using your download site and therefore shouldn't be charged a year's worth of the service.

You cancelled your account on November 8th, i.e. one day too late. Nevertheless we are pleased to tell you that we can show goodwill in your case. We have closed your account and refunded the charged amount.

We tried to send an e-mail to your mail-address, but unfortunately we received an error message that this has not been possible. Therefore you have not received the cancellation confirmation on November 8th 2012. Now that we know that you still use this e-mail address it has been unblocked so that we can send you messages again.

Usenet.nl is an usenet provider which comes with easy and safe software to enter the worldwide network of the usenet. It is fairly simple to gain access: all you have to do is signing up on our website and you can start. The first 14 days, the so called trial period, are completely for free and you can check out all about our program.

If you decide to use our service afterwards you can manually chose a pricing model which is convenient for you during the trial period. If you do not change your package and do not cancel your subscription your membership will be automatically extended to the tariff Usenet Relax. This is mentioned several times during the sign up process, as well as in the TOS (which have to be accepted by the customer).

Retracting your membership or cancelling our service can take place any time during the test period or – in case of a regular package - until one day before the next renewal. For cancellation, you can choose from several options: by using the cancel button or by sending us a Support inquiry, which both can be found in the member area.

It is not our intention to give incorrect or untruthful information on our website or hide anything referring to the trial period or the contracts. Usenet.nl auto renewal

I had subscribed to usenet.nl in 2010. The company did a auto renewal on 2011 and charge me even though I am not using and did not notify me at all. This year, the company auto bill me again for EUR 99.96, and I have no way to stop the services and not email id for contact / complaints. Appreciate if you can help me to get my usenet.nl payment reverse.

Usenet.nl no refund may be possible once one has used the service to download something

It appears that the Usenet.nl contract states that one must return any "performance" received to be able to cancel (even during the "so-called" free trial). As there is no conceivable way for one to "return performance, " no refund may be possible once one has used the service to download something. Also, irrespective that Usenet.nl apparently offers a monthly service option, it is not available when first signing up! One MUST initially sign up for their so-called "free trial, " by which one automatically agrees to pay for the Usenet.nl one year service plan "in full, " immediately upon expiration of the free trial if not first canceled (the cancellation of which, as previously stated, may not be possible)!

I went on a free trial with you and cancelled with in the 14 days period
i did this on the soft ware you provide.
now I'm getting hassled by this company TESCHINKASSO

i canceled this because its an illegal site full of illegal uploads and down loads of films
our server warns you this site is illegal full of copy right in fringement

After signing up on our website you enter the trial period which is completely free of cost. Of course it is also possible to cancel even if you already used your account during the test. Cancellation is possible anytime buy using the cancel button in your member area or by contacting us via support inquiry. If you do not cancel your account during the free trial period your membership will be automatically converted into a paid contract with yearly payment after 14 days of usage. This is mentioned several times during the sign-up process as well as in the TOS. If you would like to use Usenet.nl on a monthly basis you are free to choose a monthly contract at any time during your free trial period.
