Prepaid card
On 8/14/2022 for the first time, I purchased a prepaid card and put $500 on it. I paid my cable bill with it which went through fine. I wanted to know the balance on it so I started to type in the website and this site came up Vanillagift.net. It looked like a legit website so I put in my card info in and it didn't tell me anything. So I tried putting the address again, this time Vanillagift.com came up. I clicked on it and it said I had $150 less than I should of had. Good thing they give you the transaction history literally within moments of trying to check the balance on it. The first website I had gone to stole my card info and made 2 purchases on it at [m. alibaba.com] for $99.91 and at [dimensionalen.com] for $40.00. I called customer service to dispute the charges. They put a hold on the rest of the money on my card, I couldnt even use it. They told me I had to contact the internet Companies myself which I couldn't figure out how to do. And to call them back on later date, which is today. Hopefully everything goes well! Wish me luck!
Desired outcome: I'd like to get the the $139.91 back that was stolen from my Vanilla gift card!!!

This the 3rd card I have purchased. First time I bought a card at family dollar and lost a $100.00. Then I bought another vanilla gift card at Walmart, lost $300.00 on that one. Purchased another vanilla card at the same Walmart and lost $500.00 yesterday. I filed complaints with vanilla gift card and they said they would investigate and that it would take 30 days. I has been at least 6 months and I have yet to hear anything from them. I don't know who am I suppose to do next? All transactions were made in Walterboro,sc 29488

Vanilla Visa Gift Card
It seems absolutely stupid that I've attempted to check my card balance on 5 different cards and every single time I did, it wouldn't work even after calling. Why should I be required to pay a fee to activate a card just for it to barely ever work when attempting to use the card itself? I have entered the card details for each card MULTIPLE TIMES and still no success.
Desired outcome: A working website that allows me to check my gift card balance so I can see how my funds are being used.
Stolen money from card
I am dealing with the dispute department now. I am struggling because I am out 206.95 which I paid to Walgreens for the card. Then because they stole the money I had to replace that GIFT with cash to the person I bought it for.
I really need this to be refunded to me. I feel so violated.
I bought the card at Walgreens at about 10am. By that afternoon I had to go online to see the balance because it was declined. There was 147.00 spent. I have my receipts etc. That was back on 8/8/22.
I feel like you just stole the money and its ok. No one is really rushing to help me. As a senior citizen its very hard to just loose that amount of money.

I purchased a $500 vanilla visa gift card on August 10, 2022 at CVS 4995 Highland rd, Waterford, MI 48328, which was activated there.
I went to check the balance and get a pin on August 11, only to find out on the automated service it wasn't activated.
When I called and spoke to someone, they said they put a hold on it because they thought it was fraud and someone used $500 in New York.
It was never used by me or anyone that I know, I do not have this $500 anymore and I really need it!
Desired outcome: I would like a refund immediately and I've attached copies of the purchase along with the activation from the store and the card. I paid cash for this.
Took my money
I purchased this and thank god I only put 20.00 on it. Within one hour of purchase someone used it and my balance was.02 cents. Trying to reach someone was like unbelievable had to say it was stolen. So had to call back on a certain date then they want pic of card receipt and my ID that is where I draw the line if the card was hacked within one hour can you imagine what they’ll do with my ID. I hung up I’m out 20.00. Buyers of this card Beware don’t purchase they will suck your money out of this card. I will be returning to Walmart and they are going to hear it from me. Beware buyers

As many others have said. This is a ripoff. I couldn't use the card ANYWHERE. Finally called vanilla and, after being on hold for a good while, a representative (likely in India) asked for the last 4 numbers of the card and then said he woud do some checking. He then came back and said "It appears the card wasn't activated properly." How in the heck could they determine that with just the last 4 numbers since it wasn't linked to my phone number or anything.
Desired outcome: Add it to the list of complaints. Encourage stores to stop carrying these cards

I have been trying to reach "customer care" for 2 days... each time on hold for 12 minutes on 2 separate telephone numbers — one on the back of the card; one on the website.
I purchased merchandise using the card; when I called to find out my balance, I received a recording that the number was invalid. Since that time, I returned the merchandise, was told by the vendor that they issued a credit to my card. Again, invalid and no one to speak with. THIS IS A SCAM. AND THEY ARE THIEVES.

I wanted to use it today so I called the number on the back of the card [protected]) to ensure it was still valid, the balance, etc...I find out at the very time I was calling, an pending order /charge for $24.98 to a retail store supposingly named " Any Sense" was being placed, therefore, I had .02 balance? Upon waiting for a customer service rep to find out what is going on, a girl named Haley finally came on the phone & told me she can see the pending charge made today but I had to call the retail store & tell them to reverse it, wait 8 calendar days, & then call them back! Keep in mind on their website, it states if a charge is in pending status, a person can call the number on the card & have it cancelled if you no longer want the order that was placed or if an order was fraudulently placed, that they ( Vanilla Gift Card personnel) can cancel it! Not True! CS Rep Haley gave me a phone number of the retail store to call myself & it is not even a valid number ! After reading the numerous complaints on Vanilla Visa Gift Cards, it appears this is hapening quite often ! I would like to know how this keeps happening to people & how they are getting away with it ?! I also want the money returned to the gift card !

Invalid 100$ gift card
This vanilla Visa card was duly paid for with cash at a 7-Eleven Store, with address 718 AW Trade St, Charlotte NC 28202.
On getting to the website to confirm balance, i filled the necessary stuffs and it was checked to be correct only to check balance and got 'Invalid Card' message. Tried 3 more times and reached out to sender to call Vanilla and they also claimed it's invalid, but how so, they don't know. Please find attached the message I received, the debit card and also the reciept of purchase.

On 07-23-2022 I received a 100$ Visa Vanilla Gift Card with reciept and proceeded to check balance only 5o be told the card was invalid. I told the sender and they called it in only to be told the card number is invalid, but how? The card was bought in a store and duly paid for with cash and a reciept to prove same.
This card was purchased qfore mentioned date with a cash receipt from 7-Eleven, 718 AW TRADe St, Charlotte NC 28202. And till the time of writing this, I'm unable to use the card.They say the card number is invalid.
Visa debit card - the merchant I purchased the vcard for would not accept the card
Purchased the Vanilla Visa Debit card: 04/02/2022 09:33 PM from local Walgreens the card was loaded with $100 US.
When the card was declined I contacts Vanilla directly and the card was disabled, per Vanilla CSR, and the check would be mailed, snail mail, within 7-10 days, 30 days went by, no check.
Call #2, same promise and no check has arrived as of 07/27/2022.
This place is a great business too bad Vanilla does not sell franchises as Vanilla has to be extremely profitable stealing money all day every day. I think some of the criminal complaints against John Gotti are applicable with Vanilla. RICO comes to mind, continuing criminal enterprise, money laundering and the list goes on...

I purchased a Vanilla Gift Card for 50.00 for Christmas 2021. When attempted to use the card on April 13, 2022, I logged on and the balance was 0.00. The card was in my possession and had never been removed from the secured package.

Received a $100 gift card. Went online and registered the card. Went to use it and the money was gone. Called with a verbal complaint 5/25/22. Sent dispute package back 5/28/22. Made numerous calls to customer service, no information available. Sent numerous E-mails, also no response back. Only time card was put online was when you have to register and pick a pin. So the fraudulent activity had to come from their sight.

I was given a $255 gift card for Christmas. I never used the card. In February 2022, I tried using it only to find out it had a zero balance. Same thing happened to the other AA in my dept. I purchased a $200 gift card and activated online within 1 hour of getting it. Within minutes after activating it, someone hacked the card and spent $185.00. I spoke to vanilla gift card representatives and was told they placed a fraud alert on my card and that I would have the funds replaced within 10 days. After 10 days I called because I had not received a refund. I was told that I would be getting a new card with the $200 back on it and it would be mailed to me within, shockingly enough, 10 days. After the 10 days passed with nothing, I called again. I was told I would be getting $10.45 back because the fraudulent funds were paid to the vender. I was than told that it would be up to 90 days before an investigation would be complete and that I may not ever get my money back. I would highly recommend never buying a vanilla gift card. You will not be happy, they are running an illegal opperation. You will not be able to speak to anyone within the united states and will be screwed!

I have a $200 Vanilla Visa Gift Card. I went to use it and found out that I only have .09 cents as a balance on the card as it's been used at various places over a few day period. I've always had the card in my possession. I called customer service and hold for a long period of time and then they were supposed to send me a form via email, but that never came either. This gift card company needs to be investigated.
Same thing happened to me! I have called them twice and filed a dispute. Both times I was promised the dispute package in the e-mail. Never received the package. Called back today and asked why I don't get the package and she just said she will send an e-mail to her supervisor, and I will get an answer after 4 business days and then she hanged up on me. I will never have anything to do with Vanilla again. Right now I just want my 200.00 that was scammed from me back!
