Refund withheld
I bought an item on Vinted on the 10th March. The item did not arrive. The items which did arrive were not for me and the courier was immediately notified. (That is a whole separate complaint regarding wvti's incompetence).
I contacted Vinted to let them know that my item had not been delivered. I have them all of the details, along with photos. They have held my payment and will not refund me, even though it has been weeks and my parcel is very clearly lost. Evri are not keeping us updated and have since delivered an item to the wrong address, again but Vinted are still insisting on making me and the seller wait to resolve this. I have asked for a refund several times and each time they keep telling me to wait. I ae seen on TrustPilot that multiple people have also had issues with being refunded. The money does not belong to Vinted. It never has. They are the middle man. Any other seller would have refunded me long ago. I know this because I have had items lost previously and the company have sent a refund. They are not keeping the seller informed. Both myself and the seller have written multiple emails to Evri and Vinted. It has been almost a month and it is obvious that the item is lost.
Desired outcome: Refund of all monies paid.
Vinted
I contacted vinted on 31st about an issue regarding a parcel i sent. I took it to drop off shop and man could not give a receipt as the machine was down but said it has gone through. Then found their was no tracking info so i contacted vinted they said go back to the shop you sent it from which i did. The shop manager said he sent it even if it did not upload and cant give proof as already sent it. So i contacted vinted again and they explained which i got proof if dont arrive in 15 days we refund the saller and compensation for your loss. To find out today they gone back on their word and it tough i am out of pocket i got screen shots of all the messages and proof what they said they would do.
Desired outcome: Me to get what i was promised with compensation like they said i would
Incorrect item sent to me, returned but Vinted won’t refund me
I received the wrong item so contacted the seller. Seller asked me to return it so I did. I wasn’t given multiple options to return it, I used Royal Mail tracked and signed for. I have proof of postage and signed confirmation the seller has the item back. Seller isn’t responding to my messages and hasn’t clicked the received button on Vinted so I can’t get my refund. I contacted Vinted, sent the the proof and they have responded with the following:
If I may explain, since the chosen shipping option for the return is ' I will organize on my own ", we have to wait for the seller to confirm the delivery before we can proceed with issuing your refund.
Please note that the refund will be cancelled automatically in case the parcel exceeded 21 working days and the seller did not confirm the delivery yet.
As we have rules and procedures to follow with no exceptions, we cannot provide a different outcome.
Your understanding and patience are much appreciated.
Best regards.
This will result it me losing £64.
Desired outcome: I would like my refund.
Failure to issue refund for goods not as described, block bullying
I returned a coat, as agreed, in perfect condition. it was sold to me as a 12, but was XXL. many sizes larger. I returned carefully packaged via vinted courier. This was marked delivered and refund agreed. Then same seller stopped it, claiming the courier left her parcel in a bin. She sent photos of the disgusting bin, which she/ they had never cleaned and said it was rained on all day. She said there was a "hood". in the bag - I think she meant "hole". Though no picture showed this and the parcel was sent in post office plastic mail bag and sealed with waterproof tape. She said the coat was wet and smelled. I have seen no photos of this. I paid £12 for the coat. Now she is claiming it was worth £280. I tried to block her but she kept coming through sending me misspelled messages with pictures of the bins. Vinted keep writing to me saying "sorry for the distressing situation". and that they are waiting for the seller. They have not issued my refund or done anything to check with the courier re the claims of this individual who `I believe is trying it on. The block feature does not work and I have lost my funds as well as been caused untold stress. This person openly states they are at work all day and made no arrangements for receiving delivery nor mentioned this before. Everything I sent was in perfect order and carefully wrapped. I have supplied all photos and receipts. The seller keeps sending picture of her filthy bin. I regard this as harassment. it is her responsibility to make arrangements for delivery, if she knows she is going to be out. It is for Vinted to take up with their couriers if they really have damaged a parcel. However I have seen nom evidence of this at all. The seller never posted any photos of the actual coat. she claimed the courier have damaged by leaving it in the bin with no lid, open to the rain?

Desired outcome: Immediate refund of all charges, full apology. The bullying seller to be blocked from contacting me. The seller to receive a warning for her harassment .
Diesel dr1 hand bag denim crystal
Orderd a bag which cost £700 plus £35 buyers protection. Item send via yodel couriers which stated the item was delivered on Saturday 25th March 2023. Yodel marked as item delivered and signed by myself. I was not home at all that day once I questioned Yodel they said the driver left it outside of the main building block as I live in a flat. The driver did not leave the item with a neighbour nor did they leave me a letter through letter box to say where the item was left. The seller kept asking me for my Instagram and whether she can come help me look for the bag as her boyfriend lives close.I refused didn’t want the seller to know what I looked like as I had my suspicions of how the item went missing as none of my parcels are ever left outside of the main building open to the public eye. I contact yodel but did not help much wouldn’t give me so other information and kept asking me to check with the neighbours. After sending vinted numerous messages I only got automated messages stating someone will be in contact within 48 hours. To my surprise without no notification to me or response the funds of £700 were released
To the seller even though I send vinted all screenshots of conversations with seller and yodel but none of this was taken into consideration and instead they took the money with no hesitation or explaination. The matter was also reported to the police and am utterly disappointed and disgusted by with this company who we pay buyers protection to and at the end we still get robbed of our money.
Desired outcome: Refund
My account was blocked as hacked
My account was blocked as hacked can’t access my money of over £100 . Can’t upload receipts even tho parcels has been sent out other uses got few items at my expense ! And contacted Vinted over 30 times they answer then ignore when you think your getting somewhere ! I revived times that were damaged unable to ask for refund this is not acceptable!
Desired outcome: Want my account unblocked so I can access my money and account !!!
Hi Megan
This has happened to me. I hadn't realised that my account had been hacked until i tried to access it but it had been blocked. I had received an email saying that someone had changed my bank details and phone No and the money was being transferred to them. I have not been able to access my account since as the verification codes are going to the hacker and not me. I've reported this several times to vinted but they are not helping at all. Did you get your issue resolved and your money back?
Postage help!
I sold a working electric device on Vinted. Packed it well and posted via yodel. They initially lost my parcel. 10 days later they had damaged my parcel but still delivered it. It arrived to buyer in a different box! The item no longer works due to this damage and of course the buyer is unhappy. Vinted have refunded him but I’m not getting a penny which I find very unfair as yodel have damaged my parcel. Yodel won’t accept responsibility or issue compensation and Vinted and not replying to my messages. Very angry!
Desired outcome: Compensation for the loss of sale!
Services
Vinted need to pull there socks up.
When a seller makes a mistake and sends the wrong or broken items vinted do not give a option for the item to be sent back free post..it is left to the recipient to pay for it to be sent back..this is a disgrace...
If a item is broken or thay have sent the wrong item vinted need to change how the sender of the default items is responsible for charges of the item is charged to them with postage cost..at the end of the day it is the seller's fault and thay are responsible for there mistake..p.gould
Desired outcome: Vinted need to update ther protection to buyers it is poor
Trench coat
I bought a trench coat from a seller (march- 2023)
(bernardine.mi- be very careful- scammer)
And it is at least twice the size she had written in the description.
I wrote to her saying I’d like to return it and she didn’t accept. I had to file a complaint to Vinted, showing pictures of how huge it was and that it was waaay bigger than a “38”.
I sent it back, and half hour after I was supposed to receive the refund, I get a message from Vinted showing she complained about a “stain”. She sent a pic, the trench was light gray/blue. All she did was wet a spot with either water or laundry detergent 😱
I checked the trench coat before sending it back. I had a feeling this person was shady, she suggested I sold it myself, since size was not a legit motive of returning,
Now I complained with Vinted of course but my point is:
Any seller could pull this scam! She alledges there was damage and manipulates a pic, voi-la!
She gets the money. Vinted should change its policies.
Once I received some decoration items that were damaged. They didn’t pay the seller anything!
So, I transfered it directly to the seller. What is fair is fair.
But this seller is a pro scammer and I realized how we should be super careful when buying.
Desired outcome: My money back
Goods not received, payment taken.
A month ago I bought a ring for £175 + "Buyer Protection"= £184.45.
The courier said it was left outside on my front doorstep, no-one signed for it or took it in, I'm gutted I never received my special ring I bought with money which was left to me. The front of my house is very exposed, a pedestrian walkway, road and bus stop are yards away, children from the local school walk past my house every day.
You paid the seller [vicky71w] despite notification I hadn't received the item.
She said it was a small package, to post it through the letterbox would have been obvious completely safe and then I would have got it!
You said my ring was delivered, money paid so the transaction is complete. This is wrong, also doesn't it invalidate your "Buyers Protection"? I thought it protects me for "Goods Not Received"?
Buyers and sellers online like happy safe experiences and have to feel confident if things go wrong they'll be resolved correctly and fairly by a company they trust.
Where the item is showing on my account [ janicecat ] today you stated the case is closed, but I would like to know please how you enforce your policy to ensure the system is fair and works?
Thank You,
Janice Cohen.
Desired outcome: Please look at my profile, read the whole script and see images regarding this issue.
Sold an item
I sold an item the person received it of which I have proof. Vinted cancelled the order and refunded her and she never paid me.
She has now blocked me and I haven't received a penny.
Customer service is appalling they don't want to know or no help.
Ridiculous and very stressful.
I have never used Vinted before and I won't be again.
Anna Marie O Hagan
Desired outcome: I want my money I'm owed and the person banned who stole it.

Blocked account
Well I don't know I've never been on the account one set it up a few weeks ago go on today account blocked for suspicious activity well that's funny I've never been on the account yet to create suspicious activity bearing in mind I am a cyber security expert by trade and I know what suspicious activity is not interested in a response or to fix the problem not interested just a joke
Deleted listing after paying for bump
I had listed a brand new uv nail lamp with its original box. I paid for two lots of ‘bumps’ to boost the listing. I then a couple of weeks later get told my listing has been deleted as it’s showing used goods of cosmetics. Neither of which is true. When reaching out to support they just close the ticket each time saying I’m in violation of their rules for listing a used item as I took it out of the box in the photos.
There is no way to complain they just close your ticket
Desired outcome: Refund for the boosting I paid
Sold a tote bag
I dold a Longchamp tote bag £55 on Vinted. Buyer wanted to return it and did so through Yodel. I never received the bag and complained to Vinted. Yodel sent tracking to Vinted with a picture of a woman receiving parcel. It is clear that it is not me in the picture and that it is not my front door and even though I sent a copy of my driver licence and a picture of my front door which is totally different from the one in the tracking picture Vinted still sided with the buyer and I am out £55.
Desired outcome: I wound like my £55 back and an apology.
Compensation not received. Refund not received.
I purchased a top from a seller, on Vinted on 21/02/23 the seller was late sending it, she eventually sent it but did not provide proof of delivery. I have asked her twice to provide proof and she has not responded. I have contacted Vinted they have said they can't intervene because I chose 'custom shipping', all I did was choose the only option the seller listed which was £4.80. I have to wait 14 business days for a refund (if I get one).
My second issue, I sold a bracelet to a buyer again on Vinted, on 27/02/23, she went to collect the parcel, and the parcel had been cut with a knife and the item had been stolen. The buyer and shopkeeper agreed it had been cut with a knife. The buyer has been refunded which is to be expected, but I have been told I am not entitled to compensation because the package was poorly packed. This is absolute rubbish, all my packages are always sent secure and I have never had a complaint. My question is if my package was so poor wrapped, how come the jewellery box I wrapped in tissue inside a bubble wrapped jiffy bag and taped around the parcel was not damaged, completely intact?
My buyer has also told Vinted what had happened in my favour, but they are still insisting I am not entitled to compensation.
Desired outcome: I would like a refund on the top.I would like the compensation I am legally entitled to.
Vinted seller has sold me counterfeit jewellery
I bought what I believed to be a genuine Pandora second hand necklace .
It arrived last night so I left positive feedback and clicked item was fine .
Later that night I realised it may be a fake . Today I have had it checked and it is fake. There aren’t any Pandora stamps where there should be and the chain is not real silver .
It is a fake , counterfeit necklace.
Vinted do not want to know as I clicked every thing is fine .
I have asked them what they are going to do with the seller now they know they are selling counterfeit goods and they are not replying !
Desired outcome: I want the seller to be excluded from vinted and I would like a full refund .
Blocked my account unfairly
Blocked my account have done nothing wrong; won’t unblock even though I have said I will prove I’ve done nothing wrong and won’t help me to send the outstanding orders
Set. They warned me five days ago, which they didn’t and cannot send proof that they did.
They blocked my account for listing make up because apparently I listed too. Many items is new without tags, but that is the only option with make up that you are allowed to list make up to. This makes no sense.
Vinted customer services
All emails, social media messages are all ignored. Around 2 weeks ago I was signed out of my account, unable to get back in, it kept telling me my phone number was incorrect, however it’s the only one I’ve had that I’ve ever used for Vinted, I attempted to contact customer support. I have been completely ignored for 2 weeks. I don’t think they should be allowed to operate as I have a balance on there I don’t think I’ll ever be able to withdraw now, and a complaint about something faulty i bought that will now be too late to deal with as the seller will have got the money a week or so ago.
Desired outcome: Customer service employees need to sort out this problem
payment not received
11 items were put on Vinted for sale at the end of December 2022. Subsequently some items were sold. I transferred £40 from Vinted to my bank account in January. Later the rest of the items sold but only £17 showed on my account so I transferred this amount thinking that the rest would appear later. It is now the end of February and my Vinted account shows £0 balance. I would like to know when I will receive the £25 which is outstanding. If you look at my account you will see that the total amount made from the sale is £82 but I have received only £57.
Desired outcome: payment of £25 owed
