Phone Systems
There are several pharmacies in the Denver/Aurora area that have phone system problems, and it has been going on for over 6 months. Basically, you will call the Walgreens, choose the pharmacy option, and start waiting in line. These lines can be, and often are, upwards of 40 minute wait times. Please note, I am by no means complaining about the wait times themselves; I understand that all pharmacies are over burdened right now. When you move to first in line, it will often switch to a different music. Then, usually after an additional few minutes, it will start ringing. It will continuing ringing for a solid 2 minutes, only to suddenly hang up on you. It is infuriating when it happens several times in a row. I have literally spent the better part of 2 and a half hours just trying to get connected to a pharmacy because their phone systems are broken, and they clearly don't have any intention of fixing it.
The pharmacists and their staff always, always, always blame it on corporate. Well then why isn't corporate doing something about it? Why aren't they reaching out to corporate demanding it be fixed for the good of their patients? They have had over half a year to address it. It almost seems they don't care about patients who are trying to reach pharmacists to make sure their mandatory, life changing, life saving medication is in stock. Wow.
An alternative explanation is the pharmacists are just letting it ring off the hook until it hangs up on the patient, but that is even worse. Though I view that as doubtful, since it has happened so many times at several locations.
It is not hard to imagine a slew of situations that likely have already occurred that caused detriment to patients health due to this. I personally have experienced just that when they closed after waiting on the phone so long for an antibiotic that I needed.
Please fix this. Please fix this soon, and don't use the excuse that if someone is having a medical emergency, they should call 911. If someone can't get their medication or reach a pharmacy with questions on it (for instance if they can't afford a teladoc or their doctor is already closed), you will be at least partially responsible for their harm. This is not just a matter of convenience, this is a matter of safety.
Desired outcome: Please, just fix the phone system before it gravely harms someone
Pharmacy
Hi I have been a customer for over 10 years, and the pharmacy is definitely struggling, you can't call in cause they don't answer., been trying for a week, drive thru is closed due to no staffing, so I come in the store and there is literally 15 people in line in front of me. This is the 2nd time I've had to come grab a script., There extremely rude and understaffed and overworked. Please help this pharmacy out! I am leaving this pharmacy forever.
Desired outcome: Get some help in store

6:30 pm Walgreens 3381 Poplar Ave, in Memphis, TN 38111
Waited half an hour, when there were no customers in line, then had a very RUDE young male administer the shot... Won't return!
Moving my scrips to a neighborhood pharmacy, where service still means something!
Service, the absolute worst sense you took over the store on 6A in south yarmuth
They loose scripts that are sent in by the doctors or or a script is called in at 8:30 A.M. and not ready at 5:00 P.M. Long waiting lines of over an hour and told to come back in two hrs. Scripts that Dr. as stated do not change to ganeric. A lot of customers are talking in line saying they are going some where else!

Desired outcome: Bring back Staff that was Rite Aid, At least they knew how to run the store right
Pharmacist
Yesterday, I went the the Walgreens I have gone to for over 6 months for my Buprenorphine. The DOCTOR made a mistake and I waited 3 hours for her to correct it and it turns out she was out sick. But the entire Pharmacy was aware of the problem. It was finally remedied today at 10:00 am. However, they said they had to order it after they have been filling this scrip for 6 months and aware it is refilled every month. They said today they had to order it after knowing what I went through yesterday, they did not order it.
I was very perturbed at the Pharmacist(Sonali) who was very condescending and said they don't ordinarily carry it. But yet they know I fill my scrip there every month. I am suffering from withdrawals and need now to go to emergency and will seek damages from . This person is not competent to be a pharmacist and obviously not aware of the withdrawals cause by opioid withdrawal. Chastity was very helpful. Now your incompetent pharmacist is saying she will not fill and more scrips. This is not the first time I have had a problem there, I have had one with mary as well. I will see you in civil court
Desired outcome: Walgreens to pay damages.
slow and unable to do minor task
having problems getting prescription. tried to get a persecution at at 1158am. they said they were short handed. By 4 :30 they still didn't have it done. they actually had all day to get our one prescription done. no they couldn't
IDT Walgreens International Phone Card
I paid $25 and the access code wouldn't word. I dialed multiple times with no success. The phone rang once and then the call ended. When I tried calling again the amount on the card was reduced with no speaking time.
This is a scam. Judging by all the other comments, this is a recurring issue. Shame on Walgreens for continuing to sell this.
Desired outcome: full refund

Made a 1:45pm appt for Covid booster online at 7755 N DURANGO DR, LAS VEGAS, NV 89131. I work and this was during my hour lunch. I arrived at the store about 10 minutes early. There was a line of people just to check in. While there seemed to be plenty of staff, only one person, who was scattered/distracted was checking people in. You then were given a form to fill out, why couldn't this be done online? and then wait to actually get the shot. After waiting in line until 2:05 to check in, I gave my covid card to miss scatterbrain who then proceeded to pretty much ignore me and start discussing the weekend shift schedules with 5 other pharmacy employees. Yes 5 I counted them. All standing around crabbing about their schedules. I hadn't even gotten signed in yet let and would still have to wait to get the shot and the guy giving the shots was one of the five standing around complaining with the others. I requested my covid card back and left. Worst customer service ever. I am sorry I even went here. Won't make that mistake again. I have zero confidence that your severely distracted employees wouldn't screw up and give the wrong shot.
Pharmacy
The pharmacy at the store that is in Helena Rd., Pelham, AL. Is the worst Pharmacy I've ever seen, the cashier or pharmacy tech has an attitude not caring and take your business somewhere because you're bothering me. Walgreen has a policy of 30 minutes and your prescriptions ready I have waited 36 hours for my prescription. I waited 20 minutes in the drive-through for the cashier to tell me it was too late to fill my My pain medication to come back tomorrow.
I have called the one 800 number and I've never gotten a phone call back. I guess Walgreens does not care about your business
Desired outcome: Human decency
Covid Vaccine
I made an online appointment at store number 5969 to get my Covid Pfizer booster, as I am 61 years old and a teacher. I got a confirmation email and downloaded the form that I was sent. After noticing that part of the form needed to be filled in by a doctor, I called and spoke with a pharmacist or a pharmacy technician at the store and asked what I need to do. I very clearly explained that I had the form, and just wanted to know if I needed to have my PCP complete it. I was told I didn't need to have any paperwork, other than my vaccine card and ID. I arrived 20 minutes early, waited in line 30 minutes, then was told that it would be an hour wait and that I needed the original form I had asked about. I want to know why I received the wrong information and why I bothered making an appointment, if the time of the appointment wasn't going to be honored.

twice my wife was told they are busy and tired and nasty to her. so she switched to CVS
Walgreens Customers
I don't necessarily have a problem with Walgreens itself, but I feel like the location on Springfield and Mattis in Champaign, IL needs a security guard or a manager needs to do something about people hanging outside the store and harassing you for money. I've gone to this particular Walgreens several times but it never fails. I am always stopped by someone asking for money. Yesterday I was at the store and I was not only stopped outside the store when I came in and left, but the man found me in the store and continued to bug me and ask for money. I felt very scared and uncomfortable while shopping there. This happens too often and now I may never go again. As a woman I don't appreciate this and it's unacceptable! I know it's not Walgreens, but it's their clientele and they need to call the police on these people or have them get away from the store! Please do something about this!
Desired outcome: Get rid of people who beg for money
Green dot
I bought a green dot card from my local Walgreens, and I loaded $25 onto it at the register. I tried to activate it and it would not work. I took the card to Walgreens and the store manager said that there was nothing they could do. The man from green dot told me to email all the information along with the receipt, name, address and phone number and I would get a check refunded to me for the $25 within 2 weeks. It has now been 3 months or so and I have not gotten anything. I sent in pictures of the card as well as the receipt.
Desired outcome: Refund
Pharmacy
This is the SECOND DAY I HAD TO GO WITHOUT MY PRESCRIPTIONS! The Walgreen's in Brigantine, NJ was closed yesterday and today. Today is September 23. I was out of my Abilify for TWO DAYS WHICH I NEED. This is totally unacceptable. We were told they couldn't find a pharmacist. Unfortunately I can only get these prescriptions here because there's a problem with my main pharmacy, Amazon Pharmacy and they are wonderful and amazing! How can you not find someone to work who makes over $100, 000?
Desired outcome: Gift Card

Hello, I have been a customer of Walgreens 566 Union St. Bangor, ME 04401 for several years now. Gradually over the past couple years, customer service has been on a rapid decline. The worst experiences at Walgreens have been over the past 2 days. 1. Over the last 2 days (9/21/21-9/22/21) I had to stop by the store 3 times until I was finally able to...

Lynwood California Walgreens on Atlantic and Imperial. Extremely rude pharmacy tech/aide Kasandra. i know stores are short staffed due to the pandemic, but to hire subpar employees to serve their clients makes no sense, I would rather wait in line longer then to be talked down to. I guess they forget without the clients/ customers she wouldn't have a job. I will be very glad to take my business elsewhere. when asking a manager for his name he just showed me his badge, no how can I help you or anything. CVS is right down the street 3800 MLK Jr. Blvd. bye dirty walgreens

EBT Contactless
September, 22 2021
Richard Ashworth,
I' m Mr. Jose Rodriguez customer/consumer writing regarding my store experience .I am absolutely disappointed in the Customer Service department
and with the shift leader located Pocassett Ave This Walgreen is located on 1_POcasset Ave Providence, RI 02909
Mr. Jose Rodriguez has shifted away from cards Touch-free "contactless" payments in stores and at vending machines have gained popularity with U.S. shoppers and retailers during the pandemic and prior to the pandemic, because germs and the coronavirus can stay viable on many surfaces for hours or even days. Contactless instead of touching pin pad can reduce the risk of picking up germs and virus
The payment terminal is not just for entering a PIN. The payment terminal at the point of sale is often used to capture card information and customer authentication, as well as other functions critical to completing the transaction.
It is important to note that not all consumers have a card or the devices required to support these types of transactions Mr. Jose Rodriguez shops with all merchants and employees are capable of manually entering EBT number
Cashier training is crucial to a successful contact less implementation providing consumer a seamless and convenient checkout experience
Thank you
Yours truly
Mr. Jose Rodriguez

Clinton, MS------ Pharmancy Department
I am absolutely disappointed in the pharmacy department located in Clinton, MS. This Walgreen is located on Springridge Road and Highway 80. I have been waiting and waiting and waiting. I now have the time to text this message. Customer service should be expedited professionally and quickly. Care should be a number one priority. Also, as a paying customer, a long waiting time should not be tolerated when dropping off or picking up medication. I do hope a Walgreen representative look into this serious matter and positively make proper adjustments.
Desired outcome: Customer service is needed.
Walgreens prime
This cannot be resolved. It is systemic. What IS important is effectively communicating myself and my spouse's experience. Issues are ongoing and can be as often as 4 hours a day over multiple days trying to get a prescription filled and often is not filled. Name one person that says they have no problem filling life saving/sustaining medicines with Walgreens Prime and do not, during, or after each call Scream, Curse, Give up, Cry. When companies spectacularly fail, results are indistinguishable from the symptoms listed, caused by most interactions between myself/spouse and Walgreens. It should by now be considered a breach of ethics to refer patients Walgreens Prime. These millions of failures never reach prime time news but contribute to the deterioration and decline of patients relying on in network specialty prescriptions. A short list of regular infractions follows:
Lie, lies and more lies. Information/status seems entirely manufactured. Don't accept as fact when you are given an arrival date for meds, accuracy for prior authorizations, or status of order being anything other than fictitious replies to build false confidence. The casualties of Walgreens Prime are the very people being connected with them to rely on needed medicines ONLY filled by specialty pharmacies. There's the hook. You need us, WE don't need you! This accurately sums up most reviews for Walgreens Prime. Their license to operate must be revoked for the good of the public. Walgreens Prime is generating more harm by accepting more patients when they can't adequately fill prescriptions, leaving needy people in limbo, always needing, a rarely filled prescription. Just myself, I cannot accurately describe the additional pain, frustration and hopelessness by having to rely on the very definition of incompetence for MEDICAL needs. PLEASE do something to stop Walgreens Prime from operating this crusade of carelessness without considerable consequences.
Desired outcome: No more Walgreens Prime to fool, befuddle and profit from pain.
Prescriptions
Was told they will not fill my little bit of pain medication because I'm a new customer. This was after they filled it the previous month. Several other pharmacies in the area told me similar & 1 said because they don't know my dr personally
