Walmart no balance on paid cards

My children were given 4 $50.00 gift cards for Christmas totaling $200.00 with $12.00 is service charges. When I tried to check the balance the cards were invalid. I contacted the number on the gift card and was told one card shows to be already used and another showed zero balance. I completed a trouble ticket with customer service and was told it would be resolved by Tuesday 12/29/09. I checked the balances today on the website www.walmartgift.com and I am now able to find the accounts but all cards still have zero balance.

Your not alone!
I have been dealing with WalMart and Visa to try and get my money back on two gift cards I bought at Christmas time. The card number and activation numbers they say did not match, one card they said the money was not used another they say was used. Yet I have the receipt and cards I purchased back from the people who I gave the cards to that said they didn't work. Visa puts you on hold and passes you around in hopes you give up trying to get your money back. WalMart gets a profit and Visa gets your money and your out the money you paid and the person you gave the gift card to is out a gift.
I have tried to resolve my situation with the gift cards since 12/22/09. It's clear they do not want to resolve, they just want to keep the pure profit. I hope to see them in court and I hope this helps other people who have been ripped off by the Visa WalMart gift cards.
Don't buy Gift cards of any kind at WalMart, you risk losing your money and the embarrassment of your friends or family members experiencing a purchase with a bogus card from WalMart. WalMart won't make my situation right and neither will Visa, so I'm going to take them to court. This is pure profit to two very huge companies while the little guy gets nothing! It's not right!

I got a $100 visa gift card for Christmas and every time I try to use it and even when I try to register it over the internet it says ''invalid." I've called the number on the back of the card and walmart customer service but they aren't any help to me.

Walmart can not return

My son purchased a rifle from wal mart and the next day when he went to fire it it would not work. We took it back to wal mart and was told their was nothing they could do. He had the rifle less than 24 hours. One on the employees got smart with him and said they didnot make the gun they just sold it. Their was a sign in the back area where guns were sold that said all firearms sales are finale but it was half hidden. Even the person working in the gun area had a very bad attitude. Someone who knew what they were doing finally showed up and the firearm was sent off to be repaired. I have shopped with wal mart for years and spent alot of money there. I will not shop at wal mart anymore.

I received a TomTom Navigation GPS device as a Christmas Gift from my daughter. I brought the TomTom Navigation GPS device to the Manchester, Missouri store on 12 26 09 to return because I had received a duplicate gift for Christmas. My daughter, who gave the gift to me taped a Gift Recept as proof she purchased this gift from Wal-Mart for me to return...

Walmart slavery

I too, work for "Wal Mart".
I am a Cart pusher/Wrangler/Courtesy Associate. We get pushed like slaves out in the Freezing and Rainy weather. All them Managers care about is themselves. They stand around all day, talk with other people and complain when something doesn't go their way. To tell you the truth, If I didn't have enough self control I'd explode in front of that store almost every hour.
Over Christmas now, the last 3 days before it. It as been raining non stop around 35*f . I worked all 3 days in the pissy ### weather. Soaken wet, that even my socks are now faded blue from my Jeans. I have got a massive headache, my throat hurts and it feels like every bone in my body got crushed. You know what "Wal Mart" would say? "Come to work! If ya aren't dead you can work!" Well guess what, I am to the point of telling my employer how things really are. I am not a god damn 10th Century slave and they just don't get that!
Cart Wranglers are the lowest paid, physical labor jobs you'll know. I'd much rather work for some other company that "Wal Mart"! I also would not recommend anyone this job. If ya have enough dignity, find you a better job.
I am a well educated young man that figured: "Hey Wal Mart has great benefits lets get a job there. As for my fellow CO-Workers would say. YOU PICKED THE WRONG PLACE TO WORK FOR!

Good Luck to all of you who experience the same kind of crap, that comes from your employer.
I've been working well over 8 years now, and this is by far the worst employer I've had other than the McDonald's in Heber-Springs also.

Sincerely,
Joshua

I worked as a cashier, my glasses broke one day so I could not see well I went to work anyways so I didn't get in trouble I could not see at all the whole day. I finished my shift but the next day I called in so I could go get me some new glasses, when I called that day the manager I talked to said not to show up anymore because I was fired for calling in. I really really do not like this manager at all haven't since I started working with her.

One more thing the only reason they have proof of this bullying is because I secretly taped him on my cell phone and they caught the bullying and lying about what he said to disabled employees.

We have this person working at my store. I will call him Mofu. Our store hires disabled people. One has Downs syndrome, the other has Aspburger(sp)

Out of a scale of one to ten, to him these disabled people rank negative 2, everyone else without a disability ranks five, and he ranks 100. He acts like he is better than everyone else.

He asked the person with down syndrome who reads their book to them. The person said she reads the book. He asked if she even knew how to read? she said yes and he questioned her and asked are you sure, because people with DS don't know how to read.

Mofu, then later harasses the person with Aspburger. He tells the people with DS and Asp when to eat, what to eat. He questions them when they tell them that they are able to do things.he even goes as far as feeling their soup bowls when they tell them their food is too hot. He tells them it is not too hot and they shold start eating and not stop until they eat everything. He follows them around telling them what to do, even threatened to send one of them home if they did not listen to him. Brags about how he coaches his daughter's hockey team and allows her to cheat so she can get the MVP trophy. Sits out disabled children.

Anyways one time he reached for the the bowl of one of the disabled employee, I pushed his hand away and told him it was none of his business to check other people's food. He accused me of hitting him. When it was later confirmed that I only pushed his hand away because he was interfeering with someone's personnal space. He lied and said I smacked him in the parking lot. The latest thing is he is threatening to have his six year old daughter lie and say that while he went to punch in I took her to the washroom and started touching her. He brags about how he makes his daughter play street hockey so she could be best on the team and punishes her if she does not at least score three goals by making her practise for hours.

Managers say they cannot do anything about this because there is no proof. He did get written up for discrimation. I am the only one that stands up to him. We had another manager that stood up to him, who left the company because they were treating him unfairly. Mofu keeps bragging that really it was him who got that manager fired he did not quit. I still contact him through facebook and he got written up for spreading lies about a former manager. Anyone else acting this way would be fired, but he acts all buddy buddy with the managers(then calls them names behind their back) He pushes them around. There are a few managers that he fears and who stand up to him, but not many. When they get transferred he makes himself big saying they are scared of me. He complains about every little thing, causes problems between workers. Yells and swears at customers. I have never smacked him. He is making up these lies only to get back at me for having him written up for discrimination. He is mad that someone stood up to him. Perhaps he needs one but I would never smack him. I am expecting a child in June and need the money and would not risk losing my job over some hot headed narrowminded jerk. One time when he accused me of smacking him I was out of the country and could prove it. When I presented the proof to the manager he took it out on friends who don't know how to defend themselves. He spreads lies about disabled people of what they can and can't do. He spreads lies about me smacking him. He is angry I still have a job since there was no proof of the "smacking "him. One customer came close to smacking him because he grabbed their child who was opening up a package and told them to close it back up and put everything away. The customer admitted their child was wrong but told him he had no right to grab the child. He lied about the customer saying they harassed him when he called security.

Walmart activation nightmare

The prepaid walmart card really stressed me out!what ever happened to handing the cash to the salesperson them activating the card right then and there. Its all about greed, how can I make another dollar. They don't care at all about the consumer, I tried to activate a card that was a christmas gift, twice before my wife had to take over, I just could'nt believe all the info they wanted, really irratated and will think twice when dealing with visa or walmart, their just to big for their britches. Good luck and Godbless, and remeber cash is King stay away from pre paid cards.

Walmart jerks

The pharmist at the eastland tx. wal mart does not give people their meds on the date the doctor sends the fax This jerk holds your meds up to two and three days longer! I don't know why he feel he has the right to hold meds longer than when they are faxed by the doctor, this is the third time he has done this too me, I call my doctors office and they tell me it was faxed days ago, on the date on the bottle it shows later than it was faxed.. sorry i believe my doctors office over this jerk! I hope corp. comes in on you one day pal and gives you what you deserve, THE SOUP LINE!

You really did not give me enough information to give you a most likely reason for the wait. If you are saying that you went to the pharmacy to pick up a faxed rx and the pharmacist said he will not fill it until 2 or 3 days later, then this is the reason: 1) your insurance will not pay for it 2) your getting a controlled substance(pain med or sleeping med) and you should still have some left. For instance, if a doctor wrote you a rx for a pain med that is suppose to last 30 days and you come into the pharmacy 7 days early, the pharmacist cannot fill it because the computer blocks the pharmacist from filling it(because it is a violation by pharmacy board rules). If someone gets a 30 days supply of pain meds and is back in 10 days, and every 10 days to get more, then they are either in a heck of a lot of pain, an addict, or selling them on the street. The pharmacist is bound by law to regulate the intervals between which patients can get certain meds. It is the law!

Walmart would not fulfill obligation of contract

Waited patiently for the warranty to kick in after the manufactured warranty expired. As soon as the phone was answered the first thing that Linda did was try to find out how she could not full fill the obligation. The contract specifically said that it would repair my device if humidity was the problem. No where in the contract did it say that if Apple would not fix my product they would not. As a matter of fact it specifically said that it would fix my product when the manufaturer would not!
Do not bother with Walmarts extended warranty, it's just a ruse to steal your money.

Walmart not enough cashiers

It's 3 days untill Christmas. Wal-Mart has about 30 registers, but only 5 of them are open. The lines are unbelievble! This is rediculous! There is no excuse for this at all. Not enough help only means that the managers are going to get a bigger bonus for having less payroll hours. This is very unfortunate for their customers yet they wont change it or even care. Why? Because Wal-mart has gotten big enough to put all their competetors out of business.

You know it is very true. Walmart also has this new thing called a "scorecard" which means that if you work in a certain area of the store let's say apparel and you are cross-trained in being a cashier, you can not go up to the register to help out all because of this new scorecard business. However, the problem with that is one day the rules stick and then the next day they don't.

Walmart unprofessional workers

I had some holiday photos taken of my family and purchased the copyrirght released cd from the company nationalstudiosinc. I took the cd into walmart developed some photos to give out at chritsmas time, (From the cd the clearly states copyrightrelease). When it came time to pay for these photos, he uneducated person behind the counter would not let me have them. She said she need a signed copy paper if I was going to copy photos... I asked for a manager. When the ast. Manager got there I got the same bull story from her. I could not mke these people understnd I printed the photos from the released disk, they insisted I was doing somthing illeagal. I left the store called the comany I got the disk from and the have never had the issue before, you tell who the idiot is... I even tried to get them to phot copy the disk. It is no wonder we cannot get decent service anymore!

Most of the Photo Depts have paperwork that you can fill out or have the photographer fill out. I used to be a photomanager at Walgreens and most of the time even though the CD said there was a release, they may require written authorization on the photographers letterhead. The fine for the store is about $200, 000 if for some reason the photographer ever came back and said, " I didnt print that on the CD", and then decided to sue. I would suggest if you can get the photographer to fax you a release, you can give that to Walmart.

Walmart refund being sent to wrong address

Don't even bother with this crap! I got a Wal-Mart money card today so I could buy my kids something online for Christmas. I didn't realize I had typed my address in it incorrect and long story short it denied my activation and is now sending a refund check to the WRONG address. I call up customer service and after a half hour non human communication it sends me to a real person who within 1 minute after explaining my situation to her says there is nothing they could do, since I was prompted to check my address before I submitted the form. I am a single mom who recently lost her job and I am on a VERY tight income, I have three children. I am almost in tears over this because I basically lost 65 dollars! I am so mad! Don't even give them your business!

Trevor please cease with your hatred of blacks, get a life and check the welfare rolls, you will find more of your people on it than blacks.

Getting into the important matter, why is it when customer's make mistakes that they are CLEARLY at fault for, it's such as issue to accept PERSONAL responsibility, then move on with the consequences. You typed in the wrong address, thus making things hard for yourself. No one did this but you and now, just like most entitled feeling jerks, you blame the company for their rule on how to handle this. I can't stand customers like you.

I was given a Visa debit card from WalMart. When I went to use it I needed an activation code printed on the receipt. I asked the group who gave me the card and they did not have the receipt. I was told at Walmart there was nothing that can be done. I think this is fraudulent. I would like to hear from others with this predicament. I would like to bring a suit against Visa and WalMart.

Walmart moneygram

I purchased a Moneygram money order from WalMart. I made it payable to Riverside County Animal Shelter for my dogs license, however I received it back from them stating our city animal licenses were taken care of through another animal shelter.

I took the money order and the receipt back to the Walmart where I had purchased it. The "assistant manager" told me they wouldn't give me my money back even though I told her that I had already called Moneygram and was instructed to write on the back of the check "not used for purpose intended" then endorse it with my name.
She obviously was an idiot. I was very angry which prompted her to be nasty, telling me that if she wanted she could just tell me to go to another store, etc. etc. Telling her again obvious just pissed her off. My husband stepped in and told her she could talk to him. After calling in another "assistant manager" who knew less than the first one, this assistant manager told my husband "why don't you take the money order to the animal shelter and see if they will cash it for you".
Then told him "well we haven't taken the Moneygram class yet, we will know more after we take it". So in other words no one at any of the Walmarts I went to for this situation knows or cares about how to take care of this.

Walmart harrasment by loss prevention

My Mother is 95 and weighs even less. She is confined to wheel chair and on oxygeon She was harrassed, searched and humilated in full view of shoppers by greeter . We went in store, alarm sounded, we stopped. The greeter did NOT come over, we shopped and paid for items. As we left alarm sounded again. We stopped then proceeded out, Greeter came flying out the door, yelling" You are suppose to stop not keep going." we went back in, she was already in middle of store, she screamed at us to " get over here" We quickly showed her our purchases along with reciepts but that was not good enough. Meanwhile several cashiers gathered around us, shoppers were galking. She searched around Mother in wheel chair, in her oxgeon tank, then took her purse away from Mom. She ran it through scanner and said something made a sound. Greeter admitted she heard alarm when we came in but she did nothing at that time. They never explained why the alarm went off. I called the manager the next day. He was loud, belligerent and told me to never come in the store again, then he hung up on me.
My Mother is terrified to go into store again after this horrible treatment. Its a shame as getting out and going to Walmart is one of the few things she USED to look forward to.

We had a Short overbearing Loss Prevention in Central Square NY; run up to me and my mother in the parking lot a few months ago and state that we were banned from the store for returning items too many items with or without receipts and were taking bottles and cans out of the trash. So we just started shopping at the Cicero NY Walmart and about two weeks ago the same LP from Central Square stopped us again and told us that we were banned from all Walmart's not just the one in Central Square. I told him show me the papers that state that we were banned and he told me that he did not have to show them to me and if we returned he would call the cops on us. I told him fine we do not have to shop at Walmart at all and get better quality from other stores anyhow. I am sure that I am not the only one in this area that has a problem with that Loss Prevention person; because he has the personality of most power hungry dictators that will probably drive customers out of the Central Square Walmart and cause the store to close.

Walmart rude customer service, unhelpful

I purchased a 50.00 Gift Card from Walmart back in August as a gift for my mother-in-law only to find out when she went to use it 2 weeks later that it only had 1.67 on it. We researched the purchases to discover that they had been made back in JUNE! So I was told by 15 seperate people that I would be receiving the money, after two times of FIGHTING with a rep that there was NO WAY I am filing a dispute claim since there was NO WAY we made the purchases. One customer service rep told me that for the hassle I would be credited 10.00, later to be told that the only way I can receive that 10 dollars is by purchasing ANOTHER walmart card. Once I received the refund check of 53.95 on October 18th. (Remember I purchased the card August 1st.) Then I called Walmart C. Service to verify that I would receive the 10+activiation, which I was guaranteed.. So I called the day before Thanksgiving 11-24-09 and was told I would get a phone call back from a supervisor that same day, and imagine that... Today, 12-9-09 I still had not received a phone call from a supervisor. So I called in and FAUGHT for my money. Except I was told I will not be allowed to get the activiation fee back. So Finally on 12-9-09 I was told that I would get my 10 dollars minus the activation fee back. I am extremely heated about Walmart and honestly try to tell everyone DO NOT PURCHASE THEIR GIFTCARDS or MONEYCARDS. Walmart is AWFUL at customer service.

Walmart horrible employees

So tired of Walmart always being out of stock on things. We were searching for a camcorder and found the one we wanted. We went up to the checkout to get someone to help us and was told to go back to the camera area and someone would be there soon. 15 min later we managed to flag someone from that department down who told us she didnt even work in that department (mind you i saw her in that department working..hmm) I got mad and started getting loud. All we wanted to know is if they had this particular camera in stock or did any come in? She looked dumbfounded till a co-manager of some sort just happened by and told her she could scan the item tag to see if they had any in stock. Low and behold they did but it was in a bin in the back and they didn't have a key to get into it. Isn't he the manager. I was like fine don't go work and get it out but can you tell me if any other stores have it in stock. My boyfriend wanted it tonight and really liked that one. She wrote everything down and went and checked. The Clay store had one. I told her to tell the girl to hold it we would be over. Even thanked her when none of them in that department were organized or even cared about the peoply buying hundreds of dollars of electronic equipment...

We drove to Clay and went to the back of the store where the Clerk Mindy pulled out the wrong damn camera. I told her no that wasn't the right one. She said she had confirmed it with the other girl who clearly was a damn ### to me now. I have to say the Clerk Mindy was very helpful and we actually bought a cheaper camera her store offered when she tried to help us telling us that she had tons of complaints from that store because they always seemed to be having problems.

What a bunch of crap...sending us on a wild goose chase after we had to practically drag someone to help us BUY something from the store.

Walmart walmart steals from employees

To Whom It May Concern:

I am a concern person that’s works for Wal-Mart. We work very hard every single day at very low pay and wait for our bonuses every quarter. I only received $7 bucks in my check only as a bonus. I come to find out I hear the store manager has been taking our bonuses and giving them to the schools here. Meanwhile, making sure he got his bonus, many persons and I did not give permission to do this. We also know he is the president of the PTA in which he gets paid for. In my mind that is embellishment of company funds that belong to the employees. I am seriously thinking of getting a lawyer for not only me but for all the employees of your Wal-Mart Store in Pahrump, Nevada. So to let you know I am sending this letter to all News Networks and News Papers. To show them how selfish someone can be to steal but do it right under your noses.

Now looking for a Lawyer!

My wife has worked for Wal-Mart for 9 years. The first few years her bonuses were between $500 and $1000. Then she received a new manager and her bonuses dropped to below $100. During that time we moved to Tennessee and her bonus she received was over $800. We moved back to our hometown and her bonuses dropped to below $100. The store in our hometown has a substantially higher sales volume than the one in Tennessee. Due to this and other evidence, I belive the stories I've been hearing about how the manager has been using the store bonus money to constantly remodel the store, instead of paying the bonuses. The manager was also severely understaffing the departments, especially the cashiers so she could increase her bonuses. She also decreased the full time employees’ hours to the min. and hired part-timers at a lower wage to increase her bonus potential. She has severely damaged the financial security of many of the families that depend on that income to survive. In reply to Scotty1998 they can redistribute the money to things other than paying the hard earned bonuses the employees deserve. The example I give is the difference between the caring manager in Tennessee and the selfish manager in Ohio.

I was gonna say, it would be impossible for any management to steal money out of any associate's check since the checks come directly from headquarters in Bentonville Arkansas. I think your information is slightly flawed. Walmart does not run like any Ma and Pa store where the money comes from a single person. Everything at Walmart is corporately run and your paycheck comes from corporate directly. Sorry to say.

embellishment= an ornament or decoration.

embezzlement= to appropriate fraudulently to one's own use, as money or property entrusted to one's care.

you should probably forget big words when you complain...

Actually meebabi, I work at the same store as Stacy. The store manager did not steal from her bonus, she willing signed up to give her bonus to the schools and changed her mind and wanted her money back after her husband lost his job and she had trouble making ends meet, she has four children to feed. She is a hard worker but she is threatening to spread these lies to the media if she does not get her money back(which she concented on donating. Infact there is a list of those who donated on the wall by the employee lunch room and I would not be surprised if she only donated her bonus to look like a good citizen then beg for her bonus back and still be on the list of those that donated. Also she bad mouths our store manager all the time. I don't know if he got his bonus or not, that is no one's business and I find it weird that stacy would know his business, however she has told me she would be posting this on online blogs, contacting newspapers ect until she gets her bonus(which she willingly donated) back. She is even using her children to making them look desperate to get her money back.

I wish you the best of luck, that is awful! I work in the retail industry as well and it is a job where a lot is expected of you for very little pay. Although I am not fortunate enough to receive any bonuses (I don't even get a discount!) I would most certainly be appalled if someone where to take part or all of my bonus away from me without my knowledge & consent!
