empty shelves and rude employees
The cashiers are starting to be rude and ugly to customers. Plus the shelves are always out of certain items that you are shopping for! If the manager would get up off his butt he would be able to walk the grocery aisles and see for himself the empty shelves. This has nothing to do with the hurricanine that just passed either. This has been like this for over 6-7 months. There are a few cashiers that know how to be nice to the customers but there are many that are just down right rude and ugly. I think a class on manners should be taught to many of these people. Most of the ones that are rude are the women. One certain one has been there for years and she has been rude to people for years! Issabel I think I saw on her name tag today. She was so rude to my husband today that he went off on her. I was told they tell you they will call them in and write them up but nothing is ever done. She has been reported before because I know 3 people that had had dealing with her in the past. Plain and simple she is rude and ugly. I do not think she realizes with out customers she would have no job. I rather travel 20-25 miles to go to another walmart than the one right here in my town! When ever we go to the 2 walmarts in houma, la. Their shelves are always stocked with merchantize and the cashiers always talks to you and tells you thank you. Thibodaux, nope never happens! I personally think the cashiers know they can act like that and nothing will be done to them so that is why they continue to do it. Than the new ones comes in and sees the older ones act rude to the customers so they start doing it to! I do not need wal mart, walmart needs us customers to keep their stores open!
You can call my husband at his office at [protected] from 7am -2pm mon day - friday. Leave a message and a number and he will call you back as soon as he is in his office! Thank you!
racial discrimination & poor customer service
More Racism at Wal-Mart, This Time Over P.A. System: Wal-Mart officials scrambled to apologize yesterday for an ugly incident that occurred at one of their Aiken County stores on Sunday. Shoppers were shocked when an unidentified male voice was heard over the store's P.A. system, "calmly" giving the following announcement: "Attention, Wal-Mart customers: All black people, leave the store now." According to the AP, a manager quickly apologized for the remark, and it's still unclear whether a "rogue patron" or an employee made the announcement. But naturally, customers were a tad offended:
"I want to know why such statements are being made, because it flies in the face of what we teach our children about tolerance for all, " said Sheila Ellington, who was with a friend in the store, which is located in Aiken, SC. "If this was meant to be a prank, there's only one person laughing, and it's not either one of us."
On the other hand, Bill Mitchell, a former Walmart employee, told the AP that "as a black man, I've heard worse things." Wal-Mart brass says they're investigating to determine how this happened, and issued a statement saying, "We are just as appalled by this incident as our customers. Whoever did this is just wrong and acted in an inappropriate manner. Clearly, this is completely unacceptable to us and to our customers."
In February 2009, Wal-Mart paid $17.5 million to settle a class action lawsuit brought by truck drivers who accused the company of racial discrimination. And the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission also sued the company last year, because Hispanic employees at a Sam's Club subsidiary in Augusta, GA., claimed they were on the receiving end of racist insults from other "associates." All this comes as Wal-Mart has been mistreating customers, by very poor customer service; not bagging customers goods after they've spent lots of money at there stores, and sometimes- falsely attacking (assaulting & accusing) black shoppers of shoplifting!?!
According to an article in Crain's last August, "The retailer is likely to focus on poor neighborhoods where there is a pent-up demand for jobs and supermarkets." "Wal-Mart will look for support among communities of lower-income consumers who are eager to have them in the city, " said Kathryn Wylde, "We need jobs, and quality customer service for our money! Not Harassment, abuse, and discrimination of any kind!"

lack of management
I have never seen such poor management. Last night (and several other times) my wife and I went to your Roxboro store. You first lack the needed personnel, plus, ev ery chash register on one end was open and none at all on the other end leaving no means of theft control. Plus there was no door greeter at the door. That is an open invitation to shoplifters. Also, there is no consistency in product supply. You can never find many of the same items twice. Your management is costing you MILLIONS. I work as chaplain for the local police department and know how many times people walk out with multiple HD TV's and other items. Someone needs to wale up and get some decent management in this store.

over charging
At this point, I despise Walmart.
It started with the cashier who had a rotten disposition because she really isn't a cashier, she is a floor worker who was called up to ring because the store was busy. Not my issue or problem, you still have a job to do. I had to ask her 4 times if she was opened because she had some headphones in her ear. She was supposed to have turned her light on but did not do so until half way through ringing out my order. Which was the other issue.
I was purchasing toddler underpants. The bar code, ending in 4339, on the shelf stated the price was $5.24, yet it rang up as $6.97. I told the cashier the price was ringing in wrong so she tried to void it. Instead of voiding the toddler underpants, she voided a ruler and then added the toddler underpants a third time! It took her five minutes before she called someone over to help void the transaction and by then the fitting department, whom she called for a price check, still had not come up. So I ended up getting the information by walking back to the children's department myself!
I pulled the ticket from the shelf to prove the price. When I told the manager they may want to correct this, the manager said, " that's too bad but they really are ringing up the correct price, it's just that someone did not get back there to change the price." Really? The fact that the manager said that's too bad really got me. Too bad for who, me, I don't think so because as long as the shelf price says one thing, that is the price I will be paying.
I thought things were corrected but i was wrong. When all was said at the register I thought the total was too much for what I was buying. i went to my car, took out the receipt and totaled the receipt and what do you know? They did not void out two of the incorrect toddler prices! I was over charged by $14.50! Mind you, I had a 5 month old with me who had been screaming and a 3 yr old getting antsy and I had already put them in the car to go home. I had to be inconvenienced to go back into the store to get my money back and now I have to wait for the refund to go back on my card. I told the lady at customer service i was not happy about any of this and I wanted the number to corporate and the name of the cashier. Funny, they all walk around with a name tag and yet the customer service lady said they were not allowed to give out employee names! Go figure.
I have not yet called corporate but I will and honestly, anything less than a $100 gift card is a waste of my time. I have saved a copy of the receipt as proof of their screw up but I really don't see corporate doing anything about this. There are so many issues that need to be addressed..the cashiers attitude, the incorrect price ringing up, training the cashier on how to properly void a transaction, not letting the customer walk out of the store dissatisfied...did I miss anything?
It is very sad that a corporation like this could allow this and seems I am not the only one complaining about their way of doing business.

irate customer
It is absolutely ridiculous that they close all of their lanes about 10:00 p.m. except for maybe 2-3 lanes. If they want to cut the amount of lanes they have open then it should be after midnight or 1:00 a.m.. They make enough money to pay employees a few extra bucks to keep the lanes open a few hours later.

lied and put my nephew in danger.
While shopping with my nine year old nephew in the Springdale Arkansas store my nephew got lost. I informed the greeter and she went and paged a thing called a code Adam, and gave a description of my nephew. This is very dangerous, as now all the child molesters in the store know that there is a nine year old boy lost in the store and what he looks like. When I complained to the store manager about this they informed me that my nephew was perfectly safe and that they lock all the doors and don't let anyone in or out of the store until the child is found and they won't give the child to anyone except the person who reported the child lost. They won't even give the child to the spouse. They told me that this was a company wide policy. I know that this is a lie since my husband works at home office. They are just using an excuse to get out of trouble of putting my nephew in danger. I will be informing him of this illegal and dangerous practice and the lies that the greeter has told me. This "policy" just allows anyone, a child molester or a kidnapper to know a child is unattended and they can quickly kidnap the child. Also not giving the child to the spouse is just wrong, they are also the parent of the child. I will be telling my husband about this dangerous incident and have this greeter fired. If anything happened to my nephew due to this greeter's negligence I would sue and my husband would not have to work with you boneheads anymore. The worst off is my sister is blaming me for not watching my nephew properly when he took off in the first place, and when your greeter did not handle a lost child report well and put my nephew in danger.

What exactly did you want Walmart to do when you tell them that you lost your nephew?
What did your janitor husband tell you what the policy is for a lost child?
You put your nephew in danger by not paying attention and following him.
walmart money card
Warning! If you never want to see your paycheck money, put it on a walmart money card or lord forbid on direct deposit. You will never see any of your paycheck money in cash…
Ever again! I had a walmart money card for a couple of years and used it sporadically and it worked okay. Recently when my bank started charging alot of fees and held my auto deposits over the weekend I started my direct deposit going on the walmart money card. Suddenly there are 2 unknown online charges on my card, the robot-like asian customer service people could not answer my questions because it was not on their script, they could not tell me where the charges came from and they would not forward me to an american supervisor and refused to send me to the survey they offer at the end of the call and then disconnected my call. They said they could not tell me who made the first charge and could not block it (It was still pending). I purchased another card to move my paycheck money into until I could get my direct deposit stopped. I paid $ 3 to open it and I received the permanent card yesterday and I received another ‘monthly’ fee when I have only had the card 10 days. I called to dispute that and they did remove that second fee however… they get you coming and going on fees unless it is an automatic deposit and then that is when your nightmare begins.! Your paycheck is automatically deposited and you expect to get some cash, right? Dream on! They have policies that restrict you from getting any of your hard earned money in cash! These people running the “walmart money card show” that ‘now have your cash’ are non-americans, probably chinese because customer support is somewhere in asia and they are using our funds to support them, because they certainly are not letting us have our money after we have made our deposit.in order to use the money I had on my one compromised card, I had to make an online purchase (Even though the unauthorized charge was from an online purchase), I did that and had the card closed. However when the second unauthorized purchase credited me back (After I called them and said it was unauthorized) I can’t get that money and walmart money card refuses to transfer it to my new card I bought because of the unauthorized charges. They said they had to send me a check for the balance…checks in the mail…yea right, we will see if that happens. After I had my auto-deposit transferred to my replacement card, I went to get a money order for my house payment and some cash. Customer service said they could do the money order but I could not access my payroll deposit and get cash, as it is against their policy.
After all this, my direct deposit finally ended and I had a balance of $24.25 on my card, I wanted nothing more than to clear that balance and close that card. Guess what? I could not! I went to walmart and tried to make a purchase of $44 and tried to use the $24.25 balance against that as a debit and it would not take it, denied. I tried to use it as a credit and it wouldn’t take it, denied. I went to customer service to see if they could make it happen, they could not, denied, even though the available balance said $24.25. They could not give me cash back, denied, they couldn’t run it as a debit or a credit even though they clearly had printed notice that I had $24.25 available. I called the asian customer service from their phone in customer service and after being told by the non-american I had a temporary card, as it said on their script (Which I did not, they obviously did not know what I was talking about (They are chinese after all), to which I asked for an american supervisor, I was left on hold for 15 minutes until they hung up. I wanted to call back but the walmart customer service desk said they could not tie up their only phone line with my calls to the walmart money cards customer service and stated they have no control over any of that because they are not affiliated with them in any way, had nothing to do with the walmart money card people and made many apologies to that effect. The only way I was able to spend the $24.25 of my last payroll deposit was to pay it online against a utility bill, which I did and so far they have not denied it. I don’t know anyone that needs that much hassle to get access to their paycheck!
Walmart is using the american public’s direct deposits to subsidize whatever support they are giving to china. Your deposit on a walmart money card is going to foreigners to use to collect the interest and make investments from, with our hard earned money, overseas!..
Walmart is un-american for allowing that to happen! They don’t even support their widely advertised money cards and direct deposits. Their customer service people, when pushed, say they have nothing to do with the walmart money cards. Your deposits are going directly into who knows who’s bank and you will never see them again. Plus the cards don’t work everywhere, try buying gas at midnight at maverick…it ain’t going to happen with this walmart money card. It’s a pain and could be life threatening in the dead of a wyoming winter night with no gas to get you home!
All americans beware of walmart money cards. Walmart is undermining the financial stability of america with these actions and should be stopped. (This coming from a 12 yr walmart supporter… (When you move from the city to rural wyoming, driving 60 miles to walmart is the only place you can get groceries, home improvement, auto supplies and kids clothes all at once).
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I got my temporary pre-paid Walmart Moneycard from Walmart and I have had several issues with their service. First, they put a hold on my "temporary" account (only a few days after I opened it) with my funds in my account because they assumed there was fraud of some sort on my account, so I could not access my funds until I faxed them a copy of my social security card and driver license. I personally did not experience "anything" that would have given them the assumption there was suspicious activity with my account. Second, it took almost 2 months to receive my permanent card in the mail. The first time they said they sent it but I never received it. I called them and they said they would send out another one, which they never did. It took three phone calls to finally get them to mail out my permanent card. In the meantime, they blocked my account until I received my permanent card in the mail and I activated it. For the inconvenience they issued me two monthly service fees credit of $3 ($6 total). Third, it is literally impossible to reach a live operator on the phone if your card is on a block. You are required to enter your card number or social security number to speak to somebody and if your account has a block on it, their system automatically hangs the phone up on you. It's almost impossible to speak to a live operator because I have tried every option in their system. Beware.
I purchased a Walmart money card to set up automatic payments for a few bills I have. I decided to no longer put my automated bills on my credit card due to a couple of companies charging my account at any given moment. After reading how "easy" it is to reload the card and to get one I figured this would be the best way to go about it. So I loaded a card for $125.oo and when I call to activate it they ask me for ALL my personal information including my SOCIAL. I don't understand the need of a social if the card states it does not run your credit. Now I'm stuck with a gift card of $125.oo that I cannot use for the initial purpuse that I got it for, and paid a $3.00 activation fee which Walmart gets to keep. $3.OO is not a lot at all but imagine how many people do this. That is how they make their money. I'm BEYOND upset.
I have had problems with them from day one, they charge you 25 cents for every purchase, and when I had a dispute cause the energy company double charged me, because I double clicked on pay, they couldn't just reverse it, they made me go threw this amazing process that has taken almost 2 weeks. It's ridiculous, and the customer service is the worst I have ever seen in my life. People truly have to steer clear of this company and employers should also steer clear and not put there employee's on this card it is ridiculous, unless the employers are getting kick backs, I don't see any reason for them to use these people. Wal mart should be ashamed for putting their name on this card its a total scam.
You can't expect a service like that to be free. Have you done anything illegal that you don't want them or the government to know what you're doing?

racism & harassment
Wal-mart isn't fooling anyone! People should stop shopping there, because of the many compliants from customers for mistreatment, to the numerous civil & class action lawsuits that are filed against them every month! For race & sex discrimination... This company is a mockery now, of what founder, sam walton truely envision for the business. All the stupid commercials with this idiot "earl", are pathetic attempts to boost up sales (Serious damage control), after numerous negative news & tv reports of civil rights violations committed by wal-mart, and their constant racial & sexist policies of hiring more women than men, and wrongfully terminating black associates, assualting black customers, and falsely arresting innocent black men for "shoplifting", when no theft accured!?!

I am sick of hearing about white against black discrimination and NEVER hearing about how I, a white 52 year old guy in Charlotte NC gets treated like DIRT by the black and hispanic associates at the Galleria Blvd WalMart near my home. I have started driving to the Indian Trail Wal Mart because of the rude, hateful and racist blacks who work at the East Charlotte Galleria WalMart; especially the large black female in the electronics department who ought to be run out of the store for her nasty attitude and total hateful treatment of customers . I want the manager of this store to know you lost more than 500 dollars in sales to your store that night.

Every day starting at approximately 7pm unti closing 11 PM they start bringing out pallets of boxes with different products. They bock the aisles with all kind of merchandise in boxes. They make narrow passages so customers with kids have to be careful navigating these narrow passages. These narrow walkways are shared with employees pulling pallet jacks and merchandise on pallet jacks and customers. This problem is worse on weekends when there are more people and especially when there are children. All it is going to take is one small child to get run over by a pallet jack full of merchandise for the store to STOP this practice. This should be done after hours. This started happening about two years ago and has continued. This needs to stop as it is very difficult to shop and creates a hazardous condition for the paying customers especially. We need to call on Walmart to cease and desist this practice immediately before somebody gets hurt.

I spoke with a supervisor and he hung up on me told me that he would have to put me on hold and that was the end of speaking with him. So I say to all do not use wal-mart.com or the wal-mart money card unless you have the money to throw away.

capris
I really wish there was a way to contact Faded Glory directly, but as they don't have a website, I guess this will do. I purchased two pairs of Faded Glory denim capris from Walmart. The first time I wore each pair, the zipper broke...teeth came off in the EXACT same spot. Of course, I can't return them because I wore them and took the tags off. I do know that because of this, I will NEVER buy Faded Glory brand again and I will make sure everyone I know and don't know (gotta love Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, etc...) about this. This is clearly shoddy construction and lack of concern for quality of product. Disgusting what companies get away with these days.

Walmart is known for its low prices and wide selection of products. The company offers a variety of goods, including groceries, clothing, electronics, home goods, and more. Walmart's online store, walmart.com, allows customers to shop for products from the comfort of their own homes and have them delivered directly to their doorstep.
In addition to its retail operations, Walmart is also involved in a number of philanthropic efforts. The company has donated millions of dollars to various charitable organizations and has launched initiatives to support education, hunger relief, and sustainability.
Walmart has faced criticism in the past for its labor practices and impact on small businesses. However, the company has taken steps to improve its image and has implemented policies to increase wages and benefits for its employees.

It's obvious you're affiliated with Walmart and that's great, but the bottom line is; Walmart has lost touch with its focus on customer service, I. e. "management failure"! I for one rather pay a few penny's extra to have buggies available and adequate cashiers, not to mention someone to bag my groceries! And in most cases, I do avoid this establishment like the plague, BECAUSE their shelves are constantly empty! You won't find this situation at a place like Rouses or Winn Dixie!
Thibodaux Walmart issues continue! I visited the store last night and; 1) there were no carts in the store (the parking lot was littered with them), 2) they were out of the fuses i needed for my truck, and 3) the check out lines were the worse i've ever seen (non-hurricane) in any store. One customer could be heard yelling out loud "is there anyone working in jewerly today!" ... This is a typical management FAILURE, yet Walmart refuses to deal with it! ...I avoid Walmart at all cost!
I agree with you wholeheartedly. Believe it or not the Walmart in Galliano is even worse than Thibodaux's. Probably because one of the CoManagers (Joleen) used to work in the Thib store. Good luck getting stuff in stock that will never happen because unrealistic goals are set by management and associates are not allotted time to place orders because their automated replenishment system should be doing that. With much else at Walmart, it is faulty and would require human intervention. As far as associate attitude, as a former associate I can empathize with this associates. One can only be subjected to so much brow-beating, demoralizing disrespect and still put on a smiley face. I know in theory these people work in customer service and are expected to rise above and not let this effect their customer experience, but the constant intimidation and abuse has ruined these once pleasant people. I know first hand of troubled marriages, mental breakdowns, and radical personality changes that are a direct result of Walmart's mistreatment of associates.
