My name is Tiffany Kirkland, I went to Wells Fargo bank in Florida at 1700 west commercial Blvd fort Lauderdale, around 3:15 pm 1/6/2023; the teller who waited on me made a huge deal over nothing, (I wish I had gotten her name) if you work in a bank it should be the norm for you to see that there WAS"an alert on someone's account but it has been cleared...

I deposited a cashiers check from another bank into my Wells Fargo checking account for $35000.00 on January 2. Wells Fargo accepted the check from other bank. Problem: I’m being told the money is at Wells Fargo but I can’t have it. So, my money is basically just sitting there until the 12th. Its been explained to me about monies over $10000,00. I’m really put out over this situation. I need this money asap. Not that it matters but I’ve been banking here since 1976. Thanks
Desired outcome: I want my money
Bi-weekly mortgage payments
I signed up with Wells to have bi-weekly mortgage payments withdrawn from my bank thinking that I would pay less interest over the course of my mortgage - NOT SO.
Wells Fargo automatically withdraws the bi-weekly payment from my account BUT does not apply it against the mortgage amount when received. It sits on the cash until I has collected 2 pymts before applying to the mortgage. In effect, it uses your cash for 2 weeks for free meanwhile your mortgage is being charged interest for those 2 weeks.
You are not saving on interest by paying bi-weekly vs monthly, the only reason you are paying off the mortage "quicker" is because you make an EXTRA payment every year. I would like Wells Fargo to apply my payment to the loan balance AT THE TIME that payment is received and NOT when they collect a full month's payment. I signed up for bi-weekly payments to save on mortgage interest, not to lend money to Wells Fargo 2 weeks of free use!
Desired outcome: I would like my payments applied to my mortgage loan WHEN RECEIVED and not AFTER Wells Fargo collects 2 payments. I did not agree to loan Wells Fargo a bi-weekly payment interest free for 2 weeks for every second payment that i make.
Online access
We started a wire transfer on 12/9/22 that did not go through to close on a real estate purchase. More troubling, it also resulted in WFB removing online access to our accounts. We called customer service and our WFB banker in La Jolla, CA for help. We were advised that nothing could be done over the phone and that and that a WFB policy requires that we visit a WFB branch to complete the wire transfer and to unlock our online access. Unfortunately, this situation put us in very difficult situation. First, we were unable to close our real estate transaction, and second, we live in Ohio and we are not close a WFB branch. Please be advised that we have been a faithful customer of WFB for over 38 years and that we moved in 2021 from San Diego, CA to Aurora, OH. Over the years we have fully appreciated our WFB relationship and intended to remain with WFB to continue our "Premier" status and the benefits such as "bill pay" services. This is a request for WFB to consider our predicament and to make an exception to your policy and to immediately reinstate our online access. We look forward to your response.

End Automatic Payment
I have $53.88 automatically taken out every first of the month for my healthcare. However, I will get Medicare beginning January 1, 2023. This should be able to be done online. When we set up this automatic payment, we did it online. However, first we were told we could not do that. Then, after many questions confirming my healthcare (how is that Wells business?), we were told we could stop this automatic payment but it would cost $31. ARE YOU KIDDING! This is so ridiculous. UNBELIEVABLE. I’m looking into changing all my accounts.
Desired outcome: Take off that $31

Just tell me whats wrong with my WF credit card so I can survive,
Closed all my accounts with no explanation
I was with them for 43 years, they canceled all my accounts, savings, checking, business accounts, credit line, credit card with no explanation. They said it was a business decision. They cost me alot of money and time scrambling to find another bank and credit line for my business. If you google Wells Fargo closing people's accounts for no reason you can read up on it. I'm pretty sure they closed it because I had a lot of cash deposits because I'm a car dealer and a good portion of our sales are cash. They never bothered to call or question it instead they just threw a 43 year customer to the curb. All my accounts were in good standing. My FICO score is 850. I saw an article shortly after where there was an employee in the fraud dept. That blew the whistle on wells because he saw they were canceling people's accounts that shouldn't have been closed, he was then fired. I filed a complaint with the government and they lied and responded that my accounts were not in good standing, I have proof they were always in good standing. It's an evil corporation that doesn't care about people. They were great when they were Norwest.
Account
Wells Fargo put my account on hold on Thursday 11/10 at 8 PM which is when customer care closes. Friday was a bank holiday. They sent an email saying my account was being closed and deposits have been returned. My account is currently overdrafted almost $1800. Also, gave my ex husband information about MY account and check amounts. Sat at a branch for 3 hours Saturday morning. Decision to close my account was reversed and force post was placed. I was garunteed that these deposits would hit Monday morning. It is 10 AM central and customer care is now telling me Tuesday my funds will be deposited. They left me with ZERO dollars to my name since 11/10 and it is currently 11/14. Returned a large CASHIERS check and my payroll deposit! I have had an ongoing account with them since 2016. This is how they treat their good, unproblematic customers over a misunderstanding! I will be speaking with an attorney since you disclosed financial information to someone who was not on the account. Also snatching every penny I have out of that account and leaving!
Desired outcome: Give me my money today
Removed from my joint account shared with my husband for two years under false pretenses
Hello my name is Lisa Lee and I recently was went to the bank to state I would allow my husband Michael C Lee remove me from the account due to his excuse as to his company told him he would need to be the sole proprietor only of the bank account or he could not get 401k. So of course I believed him not knowing what was going on at the time due to him being my husband. But I noticed the day before which was November 7th he withdrew $600 from the atm and only left like $60-$90 in there which of course was strange to me. The following day is when he called me on his way home from work that he needed to remove me off the account due to the above reason stated. I had absolutely no idea that when we would leave and return home I was told to pack up and leave he wanted to separate. So here I am having Direct Deposits put it this account and can not access none of my funds I am entitled to due to not being on the account. I also was told he should have had to close the account out entirely and reopen a new one. I am furious so now I have opened an individual account with no money at all until another two weeks. I would like to know if I transfer any funds from that account to my new one if I will be able to as to he was able to keep my entire paycheck plus more? The account we shared was [protected] and my new account is [protected]. I am going to speak with my attorney if I can not get this resolved due to the fact I am entitled to the money that was mine and also th proof I have with him withdrawing $600 out the day before and then the day he lies and takes me up there to remove myself and I get threw out he goes and deposits it back in knowing I can no longer access the account. Please advise as to how I can get the amount I am owed that was still remaining in the account before him removing me which would have been around %650.
I would like to report this as almost fraud honestly but I know I went in person and signed off on the removal but again under false pretenses thinking he was going to deposit the money in my new account as he stated.
Desired outcome: I would like to receive the amount that was mine in the account at the time of him falsely removing me which is around $650

Please credit me the $10,500
This is Nicholas R. Koriakin who has a Brokerage account and checking account with Wells Fargo. Please credit me the $10,500 that was ILLEGALLY taken from my account on 6/14/22, supposedly by Bank of America. I called you on 8/17/22 telling you that I confirmed with Bank of America that I have no account with them and they never received $10,500. Contrary to your letter dated July 14, 2022, there was NO SECURE ONLINE BANKING SESSION by me or anyone else in the amount of $10,500. You said you’d get back to me but you NEVER did. Please credit me my $10,500 IMMEDIATELY.
BTW, you have had adequate time to credit me my $10,500, so PLEASE get it done NOW.
Desired outcome: Please credit me the $10,500
Brokerage account/service
My father passed away. He had several accounts with Wells Fargo which listed my mother as beneficiary, except for one brokerage account. There is a living trust in effect which appoints my mother to assume ownership of all assets including bank accounts. Wells Fargo has given her the run around for months and I say this truthfully as this matter has yet to be resolved. She has spent hours/days/months speaking with many different individuals, she has completed and provided all kinds of paperwork, unauthorized accounts were opened in her name, and despite all of this, Wells Fargo continues to refuse to grant her access to the brokerage account that she is entitled to. I called Wells Fargo myself and the lady on the Estate processing team immediately asked me what my relationship was to my father, which was completely inappropriate. Her tone was aggressive and she provided terrible customer service. She asked for the basis of my call, so I described the suffering Wells Fargo has put my mom through, which I feel is important to understand the gravity of this situation. I remained very calm the entire conversation, yet she clung onto her words “tongue lashing” and told me she wasn’t going to help. She did state that Wells Fargo has no documentation on how they handle accounts after someone passes because they have a “live number” and real people to assist. Which seems like a huge liability since there is no actual process they follow. She also said that Wells Fargo is working on improving because essentially they are behind the times. I really wish I would have got her name before she rudely hung up on me. It appears that there are some very shady and corrupt happenings within this bank. Reading about all of the lawsuits against Wells Fargo, it sounds like this issue is one of many. At this point, because they refuse to properly handle this situation, they have left no other option than to take this to matter to court. I hope detailing our experience saves others from putting their money in this bank.
Desired outcome: For Wells Fargo to act responsibly and because all requested documentation was provided, to give my mother access to my father’s account that she is entitled to.
I bought a service from leaf filter that was partially borrowed from wells fargo
That was in September; Today is 11/3/22; Today I received a bill from Wells Fargo saying I had to pay now double what I was suppose to pay plus a late fee because I did not pay the bill last month; I called Wells Farge and spent at least 60 minutes trying to get through; the automated attendant wanted a card number which I did not have; I eventually spoke to: Annie, who sent me to billing, where they wanted the card number first as well; there I spoke to Deangelo who was very impatient with me; did not want to hear what I had to say and when I asked to speak to a supervisor he hung up on me; then I spoke to Bernadette and later Velma both of whom sent me to different departments; Finally I asked to speak with a supervisor and spoke to Ebony (esculation dept); she was lovely and seemed to understand the problem. She said that I needed to speak to the retail services dept but she did not help with the transfer or talk to the person I was going to speak with. Then I spoke to Deangelo (see above); then I spoke to Jay who said I needed to call the "loss miitigation dept" at [protected]; Then I spoke to Melissa who did spend time with me and understood what I was saying but said he could not do anything about it. I asked to speak to a supervisor, because I know from working in a large corporation for many years that the people on top are often able to make decisions that the line people cannot; he went to ask his supervisor and came back with " nothing I can do"; I said that I could not pay double the agreed upon monthly installment. MY husband and I are both retired and on a liimted income. I agreed , going forward today to pay the monthly amount agreed upon. I was again told no; So I told Melissa that I would have to defalt on the loan, which seems rediculous as I am a reliable person and pay my debts consistently and on time. This is how it was left which is a big pain for all conncerned.
Desired outcome: I want to start paying my loan to Wells Fargo today by paying the amount that was agreed upon in my signed agreement with Leaf Filter
Reactivation of checking account
I have a checking account with Wells Fargo and good times with them since 2013. Having relocated to Finland for studies, I am 'out of sight, out of mind,' and discovered I can't reactivate the said account through the mobile app. I need to call Wells Fargo but there is no way to do this from Finland.
Could Wells Fargo make it simple by providing a 'reactivate' service through the mobile app itself? This is an entreaty, not a complaint!
Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you, Wells Fargo.
Desired outcome: Reactivation of checking account.
Terrorizes customer of 15 years
I have been a customer of Wells Fargo for almost 15 years with checking and savings accounts, mortgages, LOC and Money Markets. I have a personal checking account, an MMA, personal savings, and two business checking accounts. Total funds are over $92,000.
My accounts were seized on September 20th after a Wells Fargo banker and branch manager in Fort Pierce, FL decided I was engaging in fraudulent activity. I sent a wire on 9/16 and misspelled the name, so it was returned. I went back on 9/20 to send the funds to a different recipient working with the company I was investing with. The banker told me the routing number did not work, so I called the CEO of the company and got account information for another person on the project.
I know the CEO of the company and I offered to invest in the project he and a group are doing in Europe. I was informed by the bank manager and banker that the wire was my responsibility and not covered for loss, and I agreed to that verbally 4 times. I said I would sign a document agreeing to that, since I know who I was sending the money to.
At this point, the banker and manager went in the back office and came out after about 15-20 minutes. They informed me the routing number actually did work for the second recipient, but that the third recipient is a dead person. The third recipient was on the phone with the CEO to provide the account information and was very much alive. They told me they suspect me of fraudulent activity such as money laundering and would not accept that the funds in my account came from a sale of property, even though I deposited the check at their branch.
By the time I got home, all five of my accounts were frozen. I could not pay my staff or vendors, nor pay my mortgage and bills.
My accounts that were frozen on 9/20 were supposed to close on 10/4. I was notified late on 9/30 that closure was delayed to 10/18. Late on 10/14 I received notice that the closure was delayed to 11/1. I did not get an email on 10/28, but got it late on 10/31 that the closure on all accounts is delayed again from 11/1 until 11/15.
All five accounts are being held hostage, with notification specifying "We are waiting for a bank to request a return of deposit to this account". There is NO deposit to return, the last deposit on 9/13 was a check of proceeds from the sale of one of my properties. The sale of the property and parties involved can be confirmed online in five minutes.
A Suspicious Activity Report has also been filed on me. I cannot open new accounts, I cannot pay some of my bills, and this is a nightmare. There just cannot be a legal reason for Wells Fargo to continue to hold all of my money and destroy my credit.
I had to borrow $15,000 and drain all my other savings to keep my company going, pay my staff and pay my bills. Wells Fargo is holding hostage over $92,000 of my operating and personal capital. No-one will discuss anything with me or tell me why or what is happening... or when it will end. I am over 60 years old, and this is crippling my business and my life. I have never participated in fraudulent activity; I am a small business owner for 38 years and invest in real estate on the side.
Desired outcome: Close me accounts immediately, send all checks in one envelope, remove Suspicious Activity Report.
Adjusted check
The check made out to the ministry was deposited in my personal account on October 7 th 2022, on the advice of a professional. Due to inactivity the account for the ministry was closed. The adjustment was made and the check was supposed to be sent by mail to the address on file. This address have been consistent for very many years, I receive mail from Wells Fargo regularly at that same address.
I have been in touch with the bank every day since it was said the ATM department I was told that I would receive it in the mail. I spoke with Ms. Lyn a supervisor on two occasions during which time it was said by her that my case was elevated to another team since October 24, 2022. I never got a letter, nor the check that was supposed to be returned. During this period of time, I was advised to go back to the bank where the deposit was made, only to be told that they do not have the check. This horror has been a constant with Wells Fargo for the last month with no solution to the problem. I need my money right now and they have humiliated and communicated wrong information to me consistently.
Desired outcome: i need my money to pay taxes on my property now.
Discrimination, unfair business practices, false advertising
On October 18, 2022, I went to the 6300 Roswell Rd. NE. Sandy Springs, GA location to open a new Business Checking Account. I met with personal banker, Hak Seav Khong, during the transaction, after he entered all my personal information into the system, he lied and stated that he was unable to verify my business through the GA Secretary of State website...

Good afternoon,
I have been making mortgage payments for over 16 years without missing a payment. My father , John Altman got the house in his name because of my credit at that time. He passed away in 2007. My mom. Mary Altman sent in all of the necessary paperwork to prove he had passed away but for some strange reason didn't and to this day will not put her on the mortgage. Today I called Wells Fargo just to ask if they received Octobers payment as I had mailed it on the 12th. I don't see it on my bank account so I'm concerned . They said because my name is not on the mortgage that they can't give me any information . It's pretty ridiculous that I've been paying the mortgage for over 16 years but I can't even find out if they received my payment. It's also very strange that I can't make a payment online, over the phone etc but they have no problem taking my money when I pay through the mail.
It's been very stressful to both me and my mother trying to deal with Wells Fargo and will not use the company for any reason going forward .
Sincerely
William Altman

Desired outcome: When my father passed away , my mother and/,,or I should have been put on the account . It's her house and I make the payments . We want to be able to at the very least make online or over the phone payments
Cashier's Check Cancellation Fee - $31.00
I opened the Everyday Checking account and transferred $500.00 to the account from another bank. My Everyday Checking account was closed due to proof of Residency documentation and the $500.00 I had on the account was mailed to my PO Box as a cashier's check. No tracking number was provided to me. This was a little over a month ago and I haven't received the cashier's check. I called customer service last week to let them know that I haven't received it and spoke to an agent named Michael, he tried tracking the check for me and confirmed that the check hasn't been cashed yet. He suggested visiting a nearby Wells Fargo branch for them to bypass it.
I visited the one in Yuma, AZ on Ave. B and 25th St. today and had a very bad experience.
I made an appointment for today and Evelyn was the Personal Banker who saw me. I spoke to her and explained the issue and called the number she needed to call to try to track the cashier's check. She confirmed too that the check hasn't been cashed. The whole process took 2 hours. Even with an appointment. Not pleased.
They did bypass the cashier's check, but I am very displeased due to the fact that I was charged the $31.00 fee for cancelling the cashier's check. I don't feel it is right that the fee was charged to me even though I have not received the check. Well's Fargo deducted the $31.00 fee from the $500.00. Not pleased about this either.
I had a very bad experience today due to this fee that I believe it should've been waived because it is out of my hands. It is an issue I did not create.
Thank you.
Desired outcome: Waive Cashier's Check cancelation fee and refund fee.
Wells Fargo Kenilworth NJ
Oct 20 2022 @ 11;00
Went to the Kenilworth NJ branch of Wells Fargo on the blvd with my 88 year old mother so she could make a deposit. We had just come from the credit union where we received $2,500 in a mix of new and older bills.
When she tried to deposit the bills, she was told that they were possibly counterfeit. I was outside in the car, when I came into the bank to see what was going on, a gentleman told me to have a seat. Now when someone is holding your money and telling you that you are not getting it back and to sit down, well that greatly annoyed me. I knocked on the managers doors to find out what they were doing with my mothers money.
The gentleman came up to me and said there was no problem, It was just an old bill.
The gentleman could have saved a lot of time and goodwill if he would have explained that it was because there was a mix of older bills. I do not appreciate that they would accuse my mom of trying to deposit counterfeit bills. Wells Fargo should train their workers to recognize older bills. I believe we are both owed an apology and please instruct the gentleman on how to talk to people. We are your customers not criminals.
Desired outcome: An apology and better training of the staff at Well Fargo
