Whirlpool service re cooktop recall

When first calling I had to call 4 times and over 1-1/2 hrs. I got an file number and was told to call back to 1-888-900-7897 and press 2.

I did that today and was hung up on 3 times, then I pressed 1 and got someone. She tried to help but after 22 minutes I got a message to leave my name and you would call back.
How do I get service?
This is a safety recall. You do not seem to take this seriously!
Not acceptable service!

Whirlpool your complete disrespect for your customers!

Dear Whirlpool/Kitchen-aid,
As a customer for the past 35 years I am appalled at the way I am being treated.
I have a KMCS1016GSS stainless steel Microwave that was my second one in 10 years. This one bougt 10.19.18 installed 10.25.18 has gone bad. The time numbers has gone bad. The last number does not light up any longer.
Bay Cities in BH, CA told me to call Whirlpool. I waited 45 minutes on the phone to get Whirlpool to give me authorization for a new microwave. Confirmation #[protected] was given to me. They called me back for an appointment and Left me on the phone another 45 minutes and NEVER came back on the phone. I missed a very important meeting. Next we called again, left on hold another 50 minutes and finally hung up. We went on the website and was given a work order with Paradise appliance - thinking they would bring the Microwave and install it. You wasted their time. They said they don't do this work!
What do I need to do to get SOME responsible employee to finalize this request?
I need a new replacement microwave installed ASAP. You may schedule to come to my home at 10465 Lindbrook Dr. LA CA [protected] or cell [protected] ANY time on Mondays, Tuesday, Wednesdays, or Fridays.

I will NOT call again...and if I do not get this taken care of in the next week - I will call the better business Bureau and NEVER BUY another one of your products again!
I currently have your front washer and dryer - your dishwasher - you double ovens- and this microwave - But i also have a Sub zero and a Wolf range and these people know how to treat a customer!

Whirlpool oven range

Whirlpool corporation is horrible! When you have a major problem ; even a safty related issue - you are treated like dog meat. I'll never, ever purchase another Whirlpool product again and will warn others. I purchased a gas range, which for (some reason) has no BULB COVER ; and then the bulb burst into my food — cutting the inside of my mouth! Whirlpool was rude, and did not offer me anything other than the MSRP value of my stove ; and wanted to inconvenience me without any plans of a direct replacement. This is simply unacceptable, and unprofessional. I have since decided to contact our family attorney and will be holding legal proceedings against Whirlpool corporation for these defective Amana stoves that they continue to sell.

Whirlpool refrigerator model # wrf535swhz01

Our beautiful french-door Whirlpool refrigerator died after just over 3 yrs. of use We had purchased a Geek Squad 5 yr. warranty as we bought it at Best Buy. The Geek Squad took their good old time sending someone to repair it. But a new compressor didn't repair it, it needed replacing. The warranty only covers the cost you paid so if your model is discontinued (as ours was) you'll be paying big bucks for something comparable as prices seem to have skyrocketed within 3 yrs. With their help we selected a replacement that was just slightly more money than we paid but definitely a lesser model. Unfortunately the whole process took 2 1/2 weeks, way too long to live without a fridge! But the real problem was that the Whirlpool user manual described so many features that weren't on our model (model # WRF535SWHZ01) & we were not prepared for the confusion this caused us. No touch pad (which was mentioned several times), no temperature read-out, no door alarm, no max ice, not even a water filter number. In fact it described none of the features we had or even where to look for them in the fridge. I called Whirlpool Customer Service who said it was a generic manual. So I ask why would a consumer pay over $1300. for a fridge that had an inappropriate manual? They didn't really care or have answers other than to tell me our fridge had none of the items mentioned in the manual. Then I was transferred to "someone who could help" which turned out to be the wrong person. I am disappointed with Whirlpool for sure. Buyer beware!

Whirlpool microwave

In July of 2019 we purchased acomplete Whirlpool Kitchen Package. On delivery, the micro, electric stove and diswasher were damaged so badly that Home Depot did not even leave them. They did leave the refrigerator, because we neede one. All items were unboxed on our driveway and no one could believe that these items could have left the factory with such severe damage. The items were replaced several weeks later. All products were registered with your company. Included in our package was a micro Model WMH32519FW, which was one of the best models we could buy at that time. Sensor cooking, non stick surface etc. Well this micro died last week and the culprit seems to be the magatron. We know that your products are only warranted for one year, but should a micro not last for more than 2 years. Before we go out and buy a replacement, we would like to know if there is any goodwill way you can help us out. We purchased an Amana Upright Freezer last year. When we lived in Florida, several years ago, we purchased a Whirlpool Kitchen Package there. It appears to me that from our purchase in Florida to now the quality has decreased due to all of the problems we have had. We ask can you give us some help in replacing this micro. My wife and I have already removed it from the wall and have it in our garage. We have had many micros in our more than 70 years of life and still cannot believe that one of the better microwaves we could buy has failed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Whirlpool washing machine

I am frustrated with my new washing machine. I have had it three months.

First, I want to start the water running before closing and locking the lid. There are several reasons this is a useful feature. One being that when using liquid detergent I can rinse the measuring cup. Otherwise it runs out of the cap and down the jug. Second, I like to use the flow of water to scrub or rinse things. Thirdly, this method requires the detergent to be poured directly on the garments. Sometimes I find it better to start the water and add the soap to allow it mix. I have ruined at least three towels from my new set by poring the detergent directly on the towels. Yes, it was color-safe detergent. Is there a way I can start the water without closing the lid? Is there a way to undo this stupid feature.

My second problem and most frustrating is the machine does not clean my clothes which is absolutely ridiculous since that is the sole purpose of the unit. I find it necessary to rewash items often. Not only does it not remove debris from the garment it adds spots to them that were not there before. Am I missing something here? I have used all the soil level options which is not better it just runs for entirely too long. Running the machine longer is wear and treat and more electric in place of just adding more water. This is not water efficiency if I have to wash them twice nor is it practical.

Can I just have my old whirlpool back! The one that actually worked the way it should. Please help me work this machine if I'm missing something.

My Whirlpool stove caught on Sunday night. Cooking chicken and a little grease spill. Next thing i know the stove was on fire. Fire department came and spreed the fire extinguisher all over my apartment. Me and my kids had to run out side because of the smoke. There were no fire extinguishers in my apartment so I had to use the neighbors. What do I do now

Whirlpool whirlpool dishwasher

I believe I called Orville's service in January of February 2019. Never thought I would need this information to have an appliance serviced. Been waiting most of the year to have dishwasher fixed. Two repair companies have been here in a span of 7 or 8 months; DC Appliances and Naab & Mooring (extended warranty company).
DC Appliances was here maybe 3 times and then said they would be back I thought. After about a few weeks I heard nothing so I called and they said appliance was unrepairable but that Whirlpool disagreed and said they would call extended warranty company. Didn't hear from them so I called Nash & Mooring and they said DC Appliances didn't call them but I got an appointment anyway. After 3 service appointments, Naab & Mooring said they called for part directly from Whirlpool. It's been over a month and they said they haven't heard anything about it and will call when they have it.
In what time frame will the part be here .? No one knows.
If part is unavailable, then shouldn't the machine be replaced?

Whirlpool waiting for our refrigerator for 2.5 months

We have been a loyal whirlpool user for many years and in general, have liked our appliances. I think we have been extremely patient but we have been waiting for our fridge to be built and shipped for over 2 months now.

We have been promised 3 times a 3-week date for delivery but the factory keeps pushing this date out (without telling us).

We have asked for a white counter depth fridge and purchased it from Appliance Discount center at 829 500 W., Bountiful, Utah 84010. The manager has tried his best to help but we feel like we are being jerked around now by whirlpool.

I would like someone to contact us or at least be honest when the fridge will be built or we will need to cancel this order (and future appliances) if your company does not help us have this problem solved in the next 3 weeks!

Our ice maker sounds like a dump truck dumping metal.
I called your 800 number. They in turn had Fields appliance come out and check it out. It cost us $98.00 just for him to come out. Then he came back to fix and we paid another $292.47. He did not give us a receipt for the work he did said we would get an email. We have not received it yet and the icemaker is still making the noise. I called your 800 number today and she said I would have to call back Monday to have them check this out. I guess I should charge you for my time. This fridge is only 3 years old. Whirlpool cooktop online order

On July 25, 2019 I placed an order online through Home Depot for a 30in Radiant Electric ceramic glass cooktop which delivery date was 8/13/2019. Then about a few days before 8/13/2019 I saw my delivery date delayed to 9/14/19. On 9/12/19 I was inform by Whirlpool that my cooktop is not available. This is not acceptable! It cost me money for the delay cause I have to paid my contractor to put the project on hold and now last minute I am inform I won't get the cooktop so I can complete my project.

Hi my name is Eduardo writing from Brazil regarding a BID process from Joinville and Manaus, that our company is trying to participate since January and today we got informed from
Vitoria Lagazzi that we could not participate as we had not enough time to enter the process as shown on the email bellow in portuguese ( you can translate at google page) we can't admit this is happening in such a company. I have been in touch almost every month or week and she never answered us, and now she says that it was not possible. We sent all the documents asked at the time. Something is wrong with that. We purchased this washer along with the matching dryer less then a month ago. This is the absolute worse washing machine I have ever bought. Washing black clothes is impossible as no matter what is told me about troubleshooting this issue this problem is never resolved. Home phone # that is tied to the warranty entered on your website is [protected] under Eric Jacobsen. I would like a refund in full for both the washer and dryer so I can go purchase a set that actually will clean my clothes properly. I am 62 years old and have purchased more than my share of washers and dryers and this is the worst I have ever seen and the first time every I have complained about any appliance I have bought. This was our first time purchasing Whirpool and thought that this would be a good purchase but it has been a nightmare. I am not submitting pictures as just think of black pants, sweaters or tops with white streaks all over them. I even washed with no detergent and I still get the white streaks! I have cleaned the washer many times and I haven't even owned it for a month yet! Please respond.

Purchased a matching set and from the get go it did not have proper water, did not clean out clothes, left black marks on all of our clothes even the dark ones.

DO NOT RECOMMENDED

WHIRLPOOL APPLIANCE.

I purchased this model washer in late 2019 and the transmission has already gone out TWICE. It does not spin the clothes properly...I have to hang jeans and heavy towels outside to dry out so they do not over work my dryer.

We purchased the warranty through Whirlpool which in my opinion is also worthless. The first repair it took a WEEK to repair the damned washer. That is totally not acceptable since I will not go to a public laundromat during a pandemic

I will NEVER purchase another Whirlpool product ever again. The washer is sitting in my home with a broken transmission AGAIN and my husband and I are going today to purchase a new G.E washer. I will have the Whirlpool repaired and then sell it

Well, here I sit at my computer formalizing my complaint to Whirlpool, after having my 5th visit by an area service contractor this morning.We purchased both washer and dryer in February 2019.They were delivered on March 8th, washer model WTW5000DW2.From the 1st load of cloths, I knew there was a problem, when a piece of paper towel, that fell in on top of the cloths, came out dry at the end of the cycle.
After a few loads of cloths, I found out the washer never filled to the prescribed water levels that's shown on the washer door.No matter what wash cycle is used;normal, deep water wash, heavy duty or bulky items, the level of water remain the same;2- 4 inches at that.As far as hot water for white cloths, for get about it.There's rarely a load of cloths that calls for hot water "whites", that comes out hot during the cycle.
The first time I called, the service contractor came out on June 14th.He did order and a week later, replaced 2 parts.Hot water control valve I believe and a printed circuit board.The same problem persisted.I called again, and on August 19th, they came out again, went through the test cycle and stated there was nothing wrong. Complaints and subsequent visits were on October 3rd, December 4th and today January 3rd 2020.Never once, did anyone take the time for me to prove my complaint.You know"Seeing is believing".
Before anybody asks, yes, the hoses are connected properly.No, again, no matter what amount of cloths put in this Whirlpool washer, and cycle, it has never filled to the prescribed water level.Mind you, it has a enormous tub. I've been told by the service techs on those stated dates, the following; "You'r not supposed to cover the censer at the bottom of the tub", but yet it's suppose to "weigh"the cloths for the proper water level;"Not supposed to put throw rugs in washer".It's a large capacity washer. The best one this morning was, and I quote "Not all the cloths are suppose to get wet" and better than that, the door directions and water levels were a "MISPRINT". Give me a break! Other than the 1st tech, no one ever thought that the "Censor" is maybe defective?
I've been in my house 42 years this month.This Whirlpool Washer is the 3rd washer I've purchased.Please do the math.Our 1 year warranty expires on February 17th.Then I have a 5 year warranty with the big box store I purchased it from.Think about it.No one's paying me for my time waiting for the service contractors to come out.If this Whirlpool Washer isn't replaced soon, I'm sure to be calling them.Whirlpool has my email.

Whirlpool whirlpool front load washer and dryer

I purchased the Whirlpool front loader washer (#WFW6620HW) and dryer (#WGD6620HD) on February 13, 2019. In the 6 months of ownership of these appliances I have had numerous service calls for both. My washer was flashing codes and the water was constantly running while flipping the laundry around causing my hot water tank to empty and have an outrageous water bill. Platinum factory service came out and determined that the panel needed to be replaced. I also made him aware that my dryer was making an awful loud noise and it wouldn't always turn on when the buttons were pushed. Not only did he put in an order for the washer panel at that time but he also put in an order for a panel for the dryer. Platinum came out to replace the washer panel and on a separate occasion came out to change the dryer panel, which then I made him aware again that the washer was doing the same thing it was doing before. He ran some texts on the washer again and AGAIN determined the washer needed a new panel and a pressure valve. That's was about a month ago. Apparently the part is unavailable so it is eligible for replacement . NO ONE made us aware of this until we called Whirlpool to make a complaint, and it still isn't replaced and nothing has been said about it. During my phone call to Whirlpool I made them aware that the memory on the new dryer panel recently installed was not holding the memory and still not working correctly. Platinum AGAIN returned back to my home and they determined that it needed ANOTHER panel and the main brain in the dryer was also ordered. Nothing has yet been done about the awful noise it makes when it runs. Apparently that needs to be looked at when the whole machine is tore apart. Not only have I lost a lot of time and money at work to have my appliances looked at and replaced, which neither are still not fixed, they still throw out codes, constantly running water (sometimes for hours) and still not able to do my laundry without having to keep an eye on them. THESE APPLIANCES HAVE BEEN NOT WORKING CORRECTLY since the day I bought them and after numerous repairs. I don't believe this is something anyone should have to go through when purchasing new appliances. Clearly they are lemons and I believe enough is enough and they should be replaced ASAP. Whirlpools advice to me was to purchase the extended warranty. I'm sorry but I don't believe this is acceptable. I owned a whirlpool front loader washer and dryer for 12 years and have NEVER experienced anything close to this with my other machines.

Bought the Whirlpool without agitator first time, didn't like it. had to wait almost three weeks before I could swap for one with agitator. this one same as other one with water savor. Don't like it, hate to even use it. have to wash more loads and seem like they don't get as clean. I wish I had never bought the thing. already paid for it and the dryer. So disappointed. Had Whirlpool washer before for years, wish now I would had my old one fixed. Hate this new one and this sensor washer savor. IT SUCKS!

no response from you. I figured I wouldn't get one. so now am stuck with a washer I hate, paid in full, just taking up space. been going to the laundromat to do my clothes. so stupid. people don't buy this machine, you will be sorry like me.

I had my new range (WFE320MOES) delivered and found silver paint/something on glass top, a replacement is coming, but in the mean time I discovered when using the oven so much heat comes out or from the top sides my cabinet next to the stove are almost to hot to touch. My old range never had this issue. So far I am sorry I bought this range and am wondering is this just a defective range or should I just refuse the new one and start over. I'm thinking I should just ask for a refund and start over. The last thing I want is a fire or my cherry cabinets ruined. Whirlpool Split Air Conditioner

Hi, I have purchased a whirlpool spit air conditioner from Delhi for installation at my residence at Port Blair. Before the purchase, I ensured from the dealer that there was a authorized service centre of Whirlpool at Port Blair which was confirmed as affirmative. On reaching Port Blair, I contacted the service centre by the name of Abacus. A mechanic came and installed the Air conditioner. Within a few days I found that the cooling had reduced to almost NIL and contacted the service centre. After dilly dallying and not sending anyone to attend to the complaint, I personally visited the centre and asked for the repair to be done under warranty. I was told that I would have to pay for the gas. When I inquired as to why it was not being done under warranty, I was shocked to be told that the air conditioner was not installed by them. On further inquiry from Mr. Nadan (proprietor) I was told that he has no control over service mechanics if they decide to install equipment in their private capacity. As a result, the mechanic who installed my air conditioner, did not show in the companies records. The entry of my request was recorded in their register but wwas crossed out as cancelled. On enquiry, I was informed, much to my shock, that I would've cancelled the request. I have records of all calls made to the service centre and also a photograph of the page of the register where my request for installation was written and then cancelled.

I request urgent audit and intervention to resolve this issue. I also have evidence of 3 more air conditioners that have been installed by bypassing company records.

After the initial acknowledgement, no further response could be elicited from them. Kindly resolve the issue at the earliest and I strongly recommend ceasing any dealings with the firm as he is indulging in wrong business practice which would only harm the goodwill that your brand enjoys in the market.

Sorry, an additional input, the state(UT) of Andaman and Nicobar does not show up in the drop down menu whn selecting state. Kindly update the same.

Whirlpool dishwasher

I purchased model GU3100XTVB just over 3 years ago. Today 6 out of the 8 wheels snapped off of the lower dishwasher rack, clearly due to cheaply made products. This caused the rack to fall on top of the heating unit, causing smoke to come out of the unit. I looked online for a replacement, and they are well over $100. I think it is insane that I would have to pay $100 to replace a dishwasher rack on a product that is only a few years old.

Whirlpool whirlpool washing machine exchange

I bought a washing machine in December of 2018. In July of 2019 the washing machine quit working so I contacted Lowes, because this is where I had purchased the item. They told me I would have to deal directly with the manufacturer. Since I had registered the product, I did not think there would be any issues. My husband contacted Whirlpool on July 22nd to explore our options. I was told that I would need to give them 5 business days to try and locate a repairman. When I called back on July 30th(5 business days), I was told that it was being turned over to the review board because there were no repairmen in our area and that it might take another 5 business days before I would hear from them. I explained to the CSR that I could not be without my washing machine because it is an essential appliance. She was very kind and told me she would try to get someone to call me quickly. I did receive a call on the 31st and was told that I could get an exchange, but that it would be coming from Whirlpool. I then received this email.
Good afternoon, Mr. Webb.

Thank you for your confirmation. Your order has been placed and information has been sent to a company by the name of JB Hunt. Once they receive this order they will reach out to you to discuss dates and times for delivery of the new unit and haul away of your previous unit. Please allow up to 14 business days for the arrival of your unit. If this unit arrives damaged (i.e. scratches, dents etc.) please refuse the unit before JB Hunt leaves your home and we will have a new unit ordered for you. Once you've accepted your new appliance you will begin a new manufacturer's warranty from the date of receiving.

I contacted Whirlpool again August 9th to inquire the status because I had not heard from JB Hunt. I was told that I should get a call from them around August the 27th. I am no math scholar, but I know that that is more than 14 business days. I am without a washing machine and have been since July 22nd. This is not an appliance that I can do without. At this point I really would rather have my money back so I can get a different product (not a whirlpool). This has been by far the worst customer service I have ever received. I may have to wait for my washing machine to arrive, but the next time I purchase an appliance I will know the return policy and it will not be a whirlpool and I would NOT recommend a Whirlpool to anyone.
