Whirlpool washing machine model wtw5105hw2. S#cb2201461
I purchased the above machine on June 16, 2022 at Lowe's in Redding, Ca.
It broke down the following month in July 2022. I called Lowe's immediately and because it was not returned within 24 hours they referred me to call Whirlpools warranty department since there is a 1 year warranty. Whirlpool was very little help as we do not have an appliance service in my area. I live an hour from Redding in Weaverville, Ca. Finally on 8-17 Whirlpool said that Carmona's Appliance would do the repair. On 9-14-22 a Carmona's repairman came out and looked at the washer and ordered the part. Now in the meantime, I am having to go to the laundromat on week-ends to do laundry for a 6 person family in addition to being a full time working mom. The part was delivered to Carmona's in mid November but they were not able come out until 12/29/22 to do the repair. The machine again broke down the first week of April and Whirlpool again has no repair person to send out. Whirlpool said they would refer this to a Special Dept but to date I have heard nothing. You cannot imagine the inconvenience this has caused me. I purchased a Whirlpool because of the wonderful reviews and your reputation. I have since done some research on this particular washing machine and this issue I am having is not unique. This is a defective part that will keep breaking.
Desired outcome: I would like a full refund of my purchase price so that I can get a reliable washing machine.
2018 washing machine stopped working/can't get whirlpool to repair machine
Started having trouble with my washer on March 17th, 2023. Let my husband know that Saturday morning, the 18th. He contacted the WP service department that day and we had to wait for a tech to call us back the next week. A person finally came out on Friday, March 24th, spent 2 mnts and said he would need "several parts" to repair the washer, OR WP might replace the machine since it was within months of the EXTENDED Warranty expiring. My husband has made call EVERY week to get info on how much longer it may be before we can have our washing machine repaired. I am disabled and it is VERY difficult to have to bring loads of clothes to family members' houses or a laundry mat. My husband and daughter wear uniforms to work, in addition to my son having school uniforms and baseball. Anyone who's had to go without a washing machine has to see where I am coming from. My husband called this past Friday and spoke with a tech who said they are still waiting on "some parts." It is truly sad that WP doesn't make products for hard working middle class families that lasts longer than 4 years. The only good thing with this is we did PURCHASE the EXTENDED WARRANTY, which has actually been a nightmare b/c in addition to the month NOW that we have been without a washer, we've had to buy MORE GAS to transport our clothes all over to to be washed.
Desired outcome: I NEED MY WASHER FIXED NOW!! YES, I AM ANGRY! There is NO REASON for this to take as long as it has! NO REASON at all!
Refrigerator
I purchased a BRAND NEW refrigerator that is not working and broke. Since it is new, it is covered under the manufacturer’s warrantee. The part that is need is on back order and they have NO IDEA when it will come in. I have already been without a refrigerator for 13 days. How can they expect anyone to live without a life necessity like a refrigerator?!? NO ONE from Whirlpool can tell me when this part is expected or how long they believe it is humane to be without a refrigerator. I have never been treated so poorly. I have been promised calls and no one contacts me back. Please help. I just need a working refrigerator. What a joke this company is…….

Dishwasher WDPA70SAMZ
Dishwasher was purchased 2/11/23 and delivered 2/12/23. This dishwasher has never completed a cycle without leaking. It was serviced by Aries Appliance 3/6/23, 3/21/23, and 3/27/23 including 2 parts replacements. After the parts replacements on 3/21/23 the dishwasher leaked worse.
Aries Appliance claimed the d/w was not installed evenly and a kink in the drain hose. Our licensed contractor uninstalled and reinstalled it but there was no kinks in the drain hose and the d/w is leveled, but it still leaks.
This leaky, defective dishwasher can potentially cause toxic mold and mildew growth and thousands of dollars in damages.
Desired outcome: NEW dishwasher. NOT repair!

The Wash machine was purchased at Home Depot on 7-9-2019 at 770 Jefferson Rd. Rochester NY 14623. It was registered on [protected].
We called for service from Register Appliance Service, 349 W. Commercial Street, East Rochester NY 14445, because it was making a continual clicking sound when draining, and getting worse.
We were told that the machine needed a new transmission at a cost of $641.70.
The average wash machine should last between 10-14 years and this is not even 4 years old. This was definitely not expected after such a short time and doesn't speak well to the quality of Whirlpool and this is machine was obviously faulty and lemon. Whirlpool needs to consider getting this covered under the warranty as this is unacceptable.
Desired outcome: Whirlpool should cover the warranty. the repairs are more than what the machine cost originally. Unacceptable.
Amana washer
I bought an amana top load washer from lowes on line on 2/10/2023. It was installed in a new house on a level concrete floor and has squealed from the first use. Amana instructed me to run a few more loads thru it and it would stop. It did not. It is louder. I let one of the customer service people listen to it and they said it sounded like a bearing. It now also shakes on the spin cycle. They do not have good service providers in my area. They have one provider who comes here one day a week. They cancelled the appointment with me today. 10-2 and they called me at 10:59. It cost me a days pay at work and will cost me another to reschedule it. Ihave asked for a refund from whirlpool and lowes and neither will give me one. I either have to listen to the abominable screeching or take my clothes to a laundromat. It has allready cost more than the machine is worth.
Desired outcome: I would like Whirlpool to authorize a return to Lowes so I can get another washer.

Hi,have purchased a refregreitor ome month back.After installation it was noticed that there was a dent on the door which we informed to the dealer.This is actually a manufacturing defect.
The dealer name is Raipur Electronics pvt ltd Asansol,WB.(invoice copy attached)
However we were assured that the complain has been forwarded to seniora and will be resolved and the item will be replaced.But till now nothing has happened and today when enquires it was told that it cannot be replaced as we have signed on the installation report and no such issue was reported then.
Yes we have signed but the sunt waa not viaivle when you look from near by but its viaible when seen from far away.
This is what was cimmunicated but no response.
We were in the impression that Whirlpool is a branded and a reputates brand in the marked who cares for its customers,but seeing the response and just denying feel it was a wrong decision to purchase whirlpool.
If such is the response and post sales service then we will not rebuy any whirlpool goods nither recomment any one.

Quality of Washer WTW8500DC and Dryer WED8500DC
Purchased the Whirlpool Washer WTW8500DC and matching Dryer WED8500EC from Lowe's on 11-11-2018 and have already had to replace the washer (July 2022 after two repairs) and have had to repair the dryer twice (April 2021 and March 2023). That's 2 years and 8 months of usage for the washer before replacement and two costly repairs on the dryer in less than 4-1/2 years. The washer lid broke within one year of purchase. The lid had a very low quality plastic connector to the washer that broke and the cost to replace the lid was half of the total washer cost.
We were told by Lowe's that Whirlpool made a good product and they had minimal complaints from customer's on the Whirlpool products they sold. Not true. It's been a costly nightmare for us. Attached are the receipts (2) for the Dryer repairs and the receipt for our new LG washer we bought to replace the Whirlpool washer. Also attached is the original receipt from Lowe's for the Whirlpool washer and dryer. All these repairs are from normal washer and dryer usage. Thank you for anything you can do to remedy this issue.
Desired outcome: We are not requesting a full refund but would like Whirlpool to, at a minimum, refund our repair costs for the dryer.

Stackable washer
Bought a home 4 years ago, and once the GE STACKABLE failed I thought I was up grading to a whirlpool. Two years go by and happy with the stackable I buy a36” 1/2 French with freezer drawer. Going well with whirlpool. Now my washer won’t spins cycles. Contact whirlpool and they can’t find my warranty info on the stackable washer. So I do my own research and figure it’s the card ($400) and found if I wash in the washer cleaning cycle with doing the spin cycle last is the best it’s going be.
Well now I’m looking for a lap gas range with air fryer, 5 burner etc.
Now the misses says let’s keep it all the same brand.
I said I would agree f it wasn’t for the whirlpool stackable washer failing in less the. 3 years and when reach out to whirlpool get no response cause they can’t find my warranty!

I purchased a refrigerator February 2022, one month later the unit stopped working. I called customer service and they scheduled a service company to come out and repair the unit. 7 scheduled visits later that 2 were a no show the unit was still not working correctly and was running 24 hours a day. The service technician told me that was normal, the unit was also making loud hissing and grinding noises that the technician also said was normal. After reading the reviews for this company (Paradise Appliance) all were 1 star with the same stories and frustration I was experiencing. I called customer service again and requested a different company (Prompt Services) only to continue with the same experience, they also have terrible reviews. The unit is no longer working at all, the lost food products and time off from work has now exceeded the cost of the unit x4. I am hosting a party with 150 guests in 2 weeks and customer service says I have to wait for the service company, the service co is non-responsive. After 13 months of a faulty unit, service companies that are incompetent and customer service department that doesn't care I am now forced to go out and purchase a new refrigerator.

built-in microwave oven combo
Our built-in microwave oven combo is not working after only 1.5 years. This seems a bit ridiculous given that it cost over $2000. The power went out at our house and when it came back on the control panel on the appliance is locked. When attempting to unlock it, it immediately locks right back. After reading online, this appears to be a common issue with this appliance. It needs a new control panel which is hundreds of dollars. If this is a known issue on the appliance why is there not a recall? Am I going to have to replace this part anytime the power goes out? I will never buy another Whirlpool appliance.
Desired outcome: Whirlpool should replace the part given that this is a known issue and numerous customers have had this exact same complaint.

Maytag dryer model #MED5030MWO
I bought a Maytag dryer model number is above and it ran for one 15 minute cycle then would not work again. I gently pushed the power button and the first light lit up but when I pushed and held the start button the light would not light up across the rest of the lights and it would not work. The place I purchased it at came over after a week and checked the dryer, It would not work for them. So, they replaced it after a few days with a new one exactly like the one I had first purchased. The guys who brought it second new dryer over tried it out two or three times and left. I had not done any laundry so I did a load and the second new dryer would not come on, It did the same thing the first one did and still will not come work. Please help me with this, why is the happening. I have always trusted this brand but this is aggravating. Is it a computer problem and can it be fixed. I just got these two in the past week. Two that will not work, I am so disappointed with Whirlpool. I have had to go to the laundry mat to dry my clothes and will continue to do so until I get a dryer that works. Please stand behind your brand name.

Whirlpool/Maytag Aqualift self cleaning oven
We purchased the Maytag Aqualift oven in August 2022. We had a Kitchenaid self cleaning oven that worked perfectly, so when it was time to replace it, we researched Maytag/Whirlpool as it also manufactures Kitchenaid, which was unavailable for fast delivery. This was the biggest mistake. We thought the reputation of Whirlpool would stand alone for quality but were we so very wrong.
The Aqua lift self cleaning is definitely false advertisement. The only way to get this model self cleaned is if I, the homeowner, clean it by hand. After much effort, I have it respectable, but feel this is above and beyond misleading at the consumers expense. Major expense!
Desired outcome: I would appreciate Whirlpool cooperation in righting this wrong as soon as possible as this range is only 6 months old and not at all worth it.

Maytag dishwasher. (SN FB 1201808) Out of service since 1/26/23. Premier Appliance [protected]) service (2/4) indicated that defective filter in sump needed to be replaced. I am told that this is factory back ordered from Asia, with no update as to when it will be available. Because it is still under one year factory warranty I need to wait 21 business days for a fix to the problem (MARCH 27!).
I contacted LOWE’s (Grapevine, Texas) 2/25. The general manager suggested that I request a “buy Out”.
2/28. According to WP, Lowe’s needs to contact WP and request the buyout. Meanwhile, we continue to hand wash and dry multiple times a day for our family since 1/26 with no resolution from WP and Premier.
Please advise.
Desired outcome: Replace the dishwasher immediately.
Refrigerator compressor
I bought my brand new fridge in July 2022. It started making weird noises and leaking/warming Feb 2, 2023. The noise was a grinding type noise that would last for 20 ish seconds followed by a clicking noise. This happened every five minutes. When making an appointment for me, Whirlpool said the earliest available was date was Feb 13. This was shocking. In that time, I had to throw away hundreds of dollars worth of food since the refrigerator had completely within the first day of the issue happening. Throwing away food in a household with three people was extremely upsetting, as inflation has made the cost of food very expensive. It also amazes me that the compressor had completely blown and needed to be replaced, even though the fridge was purchased less than a year ago. When I've called to complain and ask to be reimbursed for my food, I was given a 6 month extension on my warranty. I do not feel this is sufficient whatsoever. When my old Samsung fridge broke, everyone told me to buy a Whirlpool. I didn't even consider buying other brands. Now I'm in shock and disappointed.

It is with great frustration that I would like to express disappointment with the Whirlpool Refrigerator Ice Maker. This is a refrigerator that was chosen by the builder, DR Horton, which is known for choosing the cheapest brand of materials/product for homes. The home was built and complete in November of 2020 which I purchased the home November 30, 2020. For the first couple of months, the ice maker worked with no issues. The ice maker then started freezing up not dispensing ice from the door, which then forced me to have to open the freezer door, open the ice tray holder to obtain ice. My mother, who should be employed with Whirlpool now every time I had to call her to come assist to DE freeze, knew how to fix that by putting hot water to defrost the silver pipe inside. This became to frequent that I contacted the warranty number that was left by builder. DR. Fix-It Appliance Repair came out on 10/4/2021. I am not sure what she changed but it worked for about a month then started freezing up again. I then decided to utilize a portal counter top ice maker for ice, which totally defeats the purpose of having an ice maker.
Right after the warranty ended the ice maker continued with the issues of freezing and started to continue with my mom coming to do the assist with the de-freezing. As of last week, the ice maker no longer makes ice. I have changed the water/ice filter every 6 months when the light would appear. This was just changed last week but very disappointed to find that no ice was being made. I turned off the ice maker, then on, went through the de-freezing of all parts and NOTHING. I am truly disappointed in Whirlpool as each time I have called I am told that I have a parts warranty until 2025 but it will cost $149.00 for a technician to come out. For $149.00, I can buy a countertop ice maker. I was offered the opportunity to purchase another model online with a 40% discount of Whirlpool/Amana and all the other brands. Unfortunately, if I had the money to purchase another refrigerator just to make ice, it would NOT be Whirlpool which is why I am writing this complaint letter. I have found that the customer service and the product for whirlpool refrigerators, washers and dryers that are offered when moving into new homes as part of the package deal are because they do not work very long. I did ask if they found it to be irreparable would I get this refrigerator replaced but only after the 3rd call to a technician and they found it unfixable. If I paid a technician three times to come out to be $447.00 out of pocket to hopefully deem it non-fixable, I could have purchased a new refrigerator, NOT by Whirlpool and/or purchased 3 countertop ice makers.
I would like to hear from someone that could provide peace of mind that someone will fix this issue without out of pocket expense to me. This is a new home, new refrigerator that had problems from the beginning. I am very disappointed and would like a resolution ASAP prior to me placing a review regarding my Whirlpool experience. I need the issue to be fixed/repaired as soon as possible and a credit to be provided for the hassle.
Refrigerator/freezer
The appliance was purchased 6-18-21 and the freezer has never been able to freeze ice cream and the gasket just falls loose all the time. When it was still under warranty we had the repair tech come out and they put a new gasket on but within 30 days it was falling loose when you open the freezer. Refrigerators are not cheap and this is very disappointing. I believe the company should stand behind this unit and replace it.
