toast / cups offer
Good afternoon,
Was at the stoneridge branch edenvale yesterday morning.
Ordered the promo x 2 of the breakfast with mugs.
Toast arrived all ok on the one side and buttered it. Both my wife and i. When took a mouthful it did not feel right and turned it over. Both our slices was only toasted on the one side and the other was normal bread untoasted. Waited for the waiter as they normally come and ask if all ok. Not today. Happy to take the money, told him about the toast and said that's how they do it.
Asked him about the mugs, waited and he continued his chat with the other staff. Went to front desk and spoke to the manager and same excuse no it was buttered on that side so we don't toast it. What nonsense? Why give butter. Don't offer toast when it is not. The waiter came and went. We did get our mugs which was not key point but we had paid for it. Is this wimpy latest to only do one side toast? If so, its the last you see of me and my money.

my name is thobile and I would like to share the bad experience I received at westgate on monday, we came in and ordered the breakfast special from some guy Robert and he asked how we'd like our egg and I adviced semi side up ok, he did as per request but honestly our plates didnt look nyc our eggs were very very wet instate messed up our plate befor we even ate and I called him to show him and responce and look I got from him was very rude, hes response was that's how I wanted my egg and he left us like that, so I was so unhappy, I kept asking my self was it cause we order a special but then again why are they made.
poor service and the dirty toilets
On the 01.09.2018 I came to wimpy just to have a cold savvana dry the service I recieved was very poor...the waiter took his time and to have another drink it would take another 30 minutes...the palace is so hot but the Aircon are switched off..you have to screen the mname of the waiter just to get attention paying with your own money
You ask them to switch on the Aircon they first start with a meeting and looking at you like a mad person
The toilets are fillthy dirthy the is no even a air freshener nor toilet paper let alone a hand wash
You ask why they are in such a condition they have no answer.
The shop is not conusive nor productive ..there is no customer care
smoking in the public eating area
I am having breakfast with my parents and three small children at the Wimpy in Rustenburg Platinum Square branch. According to my understanding, it is illegal to smoke in public areas, especially in restaurants (unless it is a closed off smoking section). While waiting for our breakfast three people at three different tables surrounding us started smoking. The waiters did not even attempt to advise them to smoke in the designated smoking area outside the restaurant, in fact, they even brought one of the customers a bowl for an ash tray. When questioned about it, the waitress said that this is the smoking area. But we didn't see any smoking signs and its an open area. When questioning the manager, he agreed with us and said its not right. But I was not convinced that there would be a change in the policy under the waitresses. I am writing this letter because I hope that it would help that we, or other non smokers would not have to have their breakfast (that we are paying for to have here) under such unpleasant circumstances and still have to plead for a change.
poor service; breakfast...35 min late and wrong order
On 20/09/2108 I went to Wimpy (Bayside Tableview) at 20 :31.I order a coffee and a full Dagwood (R99-00).I order white bread and no lettuce
After 38 min of waiting the waitor arrived with a dagwood with brown bread and lettuce.I call the manager and informed her that I am very shock with the poor service and wrong order and that I not prepared to wait further to fix the problem.
I am a regular but will not visit the specific Wimpy again.

service at wimpy canal walk
My friends and I were at the restaurant at Canal Walk and we received horrible service. My friend and I first sat down and we said we were going to wait for two of our other friends and when they came we received absolutely no attention. When we complained we were responded to in such an uncalled for manner and we called the manager and he seemed not to take us seriously but we got another waiter. I was immensely disappointed with the way I was treated and I wouldn't want such service to happen to any other customer.
kids ribs meal
The ribs was as tough as anything. Both my boys were unable to eat it, I tried to cut the meat off the bones and could understand why the boys could not eat it. The small piece I managed to cut of and give to my boy, he chewed and chewed and chewed, but nothing. When the manager came to give me the bill I told her about this fact and she just pretended she did not hear, or care and just carried on with the bill. So when I walked out 4 wimpy staff members stood at the till so I said is there anyone who cares what I'm saying about the ribs being to tough to eat and that I wasted R63 on a meal. They all just stood there and did not say a word, including the manager

So I went to wimpy in N1 City Mall today. When I sat down the table we were at was still dirty. I called over the waitress to clean it. I then ordered the hash stack meal with mango juice. The juice tasted like there was dust in it. The manager then told me that the guacamole that's on my burger they had to go fetch the avo from upstairs but did not want my burger to get told I agreed and said they can bring it in a separate plate. She came back and told me that the avo was frozen. I was so disappointed because I chose my burger because I love guacamole. Once they brought the burger it was cold. The 2 waiters was just take their time with everything and there seems to be more managers then waiterss. We told a manager to please bring our bill as our waiter was busy, she walked away and never ended up telling our waitress. We waited another 30min before we saw our waitress. I have been to that wimpy since I have been 6years old. I stopped going for 2 years and when I decided I really want wimpy I get this type or service. I guess I'll never be going back there again.
terrible product and service
Good day yesterday i was at Wimpy Chatsworth Centre, coffee was weak, like it had been reused, tomato was not grilled, mushrooms overdone
Furthermore to that the way the manager and the probably owner oldish man acted towards the black waitress was appauling yelling and screaming at her.
How do u yell at staff in front of customers, when there were other waiters around doing nothing as well
They need to treat their staff better, i will not be visiting this store again

coffee price
Hi my family and I always go to Wimpy and love the food, coffee and service at both Menlyn Mall and Woodlands Mall.
However yesterday I went to have a cup of coffee and see it is now R 30.00. I really think this is very pricey and wont be ordering coffee anymore from Wimpy :-(
There are a lot of cheaper places to have a cup of coffee so sorry Wimpy you will be losing mine and my families business and I am sure a lot of peoples business. A lot of pensioners go to the Wimpy and feel that it is really expensive for them as sometimes they only go for a cup of coffee.
waffle coffee
On the 27/08/18 we were at wimpy langeberg mall mosselbay for coffee and waffle. The 2 americanos so strong we struggled to get it down. The childrens waffle for my son was old and chewy obviously baked the day before or long ago. Very disappointed. The waiter never checked if everything was ok after delivery of food. I remember a time where waffles were crispy and fresh just baked when it arrived at the table.
old buns used for burgers

I went to Wimpy in Vaal Mall Vanderbijlpark 2018/08/04, we ordered burgers. The buns used to make the burgers were old and broke easily due to not being fresh. We called the manager and told her. She said that the buns arrived that morning, you could tell that it was not true, because the buns had already developed a fermented smell. I had an aweful meal! Disgusted.
bad service at wimpy-greytown restaurant
On the evening of the 31st of July my friends and I went to the Wimpy Restaurant in Greytown to celebrate my friends birthday. They choose Wimpy because it is our favorite restaurant and Greytown is a very small rural town so we do not have a wide range to choose from. When we arrived the electricity was out but we choose to stay and wait for it because we really wished to eat at Wimpy. This was around half past 5 in the afternoon and at 6pm the electricity went back on and we entered Wimpy. We then sat our table and the waiter - who's name is Zandile - gave us our menus and left. She then came back to take our oriders however I was had not decided what to order. She then took everyone else's order and left. It was in a rude manner because she clicked her tongue as she left. When she returned to came back with my friends drinks and said to my friends "you should teach your friend how to order", to which my friend said nothing to as we were all stunned at where this was coming from. She then continued to rage on about how there are other tables she has to serve and how I was wasting her time and how she doesn't need my money. When I got my food it was 10 minutes after my friends received their's and it was cold. All because I did not match the speed of which she wanted me to order. I ask, would I have gotten the same treatment if I was older?or of a different race?I would seriously like the Wimpy Franchise to dissues the rude and disgusting behaviour of the Greytown Wimpy staff because this is not my first horrible experience at the restaurant. Months back there was an incident where we ordered food but one our friends got a call that their mom had passed so we all had to leave (the food had not arrived yet) our friend (whom was also going to pay for the food) and so we told our waiteration we are sorry but we have to leave. The waiter then told the manager who came rushing out and began shouting at us! I am not the only one who has had these types of experiences before at the Wimpy and so many people who we've discussed this about are planning a boycottage of the Greytown Wimpy. I truly don't wish that to happen as Wimpy holds a dear place in my heart however it's rude and bad service does not. And so I plead with the Franchise to please talk to Greytown Wimpy about it's poo service and we as the Greytown citizens request a formal apology from the restaurant to be published in the town newspaper, the Greytown Gazette.
It means Wimpy doesn't care about bad publicity and the bad service they are offering to customers. If it was another franchise - response was going to be available within an hour an apology. It's a pity Greytown is a small town but go to other restaurant next time to avoid disappointment. Since when you are forced to order in a rush. They don't know how to treat customers, never will I go there again.
loud music
Yesterday morning (25/07/2018) at around 10:15, my wife and I visited the Wimpy in the Grove, Pretoria, for breakfast.
While ordering, the music playing from speakers mounted in the ceiling, was so loud that I had to keep repeating our order to the waiter. I asked him to turn the volume down - but he just smiled and walked off. (Maybe he didn't understand what I said.)
My wife and I couldn't have a conversation because of the loud nightclub-like music screaming overhead of us.
After we sat and tried to endure the noise for about 10 minutes, we got up and left - within paying for, or receiving our order. At the door, what I presume was the manager, approached us and said that the music would now be turned down.
I told him that we were not impressed, and would never again visit this outlet in future. If we wanted to go to a rock concert we would do so - it certainly is inappropriate to play this type of music in a family restaurant.

On the 11 July I went to Wimpy at Vaal mall In Vanderbijlpark. The waitress asked me why I did not eat my kitchen and then I told her that it is cold and I not well cooked . I started eating my son's burger because he was full. She decided to report the chicken to the manager . This manager came to me and tells me that he tasted the chicken and according to him it's fine . It's warm and well cooked . Essentially he was saying I'm lying. I'm a surgeon ( a specialist doctor), there is no way that I would want free meal from Wimpy . That's the impression that this manager created . He didn't even apologise and he decided to take off the chicken from the bill . My husband and I insisted on paying for that chicken . I felt so insulted to be treated like a liar and a criminal . I think managers should be trained, really how did he get that post if he thinks so low anoout people . He has no manners at all . He looks the same age like my son. He must respect people older than him, that's basic manners !( actually you need to treat all people young and old with respect, rich or poor . My number is [protected]
equipment not working for four months
We are regular Wimpy cudtomers in either Waterfall Mall Rustenburg and Platinum square Rustenburg. For the last 4 months we can never order any freezos for the crusher machine never works. Forcing us to drink something else we do not want. Or they can not make any smoothies.
Our complaint is for the platinum square branch Rustenburg North West. They keep on saying sorry but do nothing to resolve the problem.
monday breakfast special sold out by 11am already
Good morning,
I just thought that the matter of advertising an all day breakfast special should be looked into if the special is not going to be available for most of the day.
I was at the Wimpy in Blue Route mall, Tokai with my husband yesterday (09 June 2018), only to be told that they were sold out. We were told that the TV DOES state that it's while stocks last. We didn't see the special on TV, but on the website, and had to do quite a bit of digging around to find that hidden clause.
Now given that we did arrive there at 1pm, but we were informed that it was unavailable since 11am already.
This to me is indicative of very bad management. Please bear in mind, that some people travel by public transport with bigger families in order to enjoy the special, only to have to be turned away, because they were banking on having the affordability of the meal for the whole family.
I am a full-time student who just wanted to spoil my hubby a bit, but the meal now ended up being double the price I was intending to pay.

Update:
On the same day I posted this, I was contacted by Sandy who apologized for our experience and assured us that they were aware of the issue and were in contact with the suppliers.
She offered my husband and I vouchers - a promised duly carried out.
Thank you Sandy and Wimpy.
I know complaints cannot always be avoided, but it's efficient reponses like this that shows the character behind the business.

I went to the wimpy yesterday morning 1/07/18 I ordered two orange juices and a milkshake and 3 burgers, when I receive the juice it was warm and had a funny taste like it gone bad I clled the waiter to bring me another cold drink because the juice is off she just told me shes sorry I still hadto pay for it and my daughter got sick from drink hers when the food arrived all the burgers were cold and lettuce old, to crown everything was there al lady who was throwing up inside her plate and nobody did make a plan to remove her or her vomit I mean really everybody was eating I would never in my life eat at wimpy mayville again.
paid twice for meal

I was at Wimpy yesterday from about 10:40 to 12:30
Myself and my colleague had 2 by specials R59 each and coffee and hot chocolate. The bill was +-R177, the waitress tried twice to take payment from my card see slips below both times the card machine was showing no internet connection., she then took a cash payment of R200. When I got home I checked my Credit card statement see Virgin Money below, and was surprised that the debit for Wimpy was reflecting.
Please refund the amount to my credit card with immediate effect and email me to confirm this has been completed.

unethical behaviour and rubber sausages
I ordered Big Bacon Brekkie and Tea and only to get 4 mini sausages that tasted like rubber and i asked the waiter to call the Manager, which she did but the Manager passed our Table and went to a next table, ignored us, my Colleague left for her flight, after we finished eating as we were very hungry and rushing for a flight then the lady who represented the Manager came and stood infront of me like a lifeless snail with a piece of paper asking for my contact number and apologised, then i paid and left unhappy, for me that was very uncalled for, because how do u recommend Wimpy to friends and family members if they will be given bad food like that?
