generous joe's chicken burger
WE had lunch at wimpy platinum mall in Rustenburg this afternoon . We ordered 2 generous joe chicken burgers and 2 milkshakes . The buns were terribly stale and extremely dry and we had brought this to the attention of the manager .
To my disappointment all he said was I will deduct the cost of the rolls from the bill and said sorry.
We left still feeling hungry and had to get something else while on the way back .
swapping beef burger with veggie burger
I went to wimpy today and was interested in the lunch special with burger, chips and milkshake. When I asked to swop the beef burger for a veggie burger I was told absolutely not.
I was then going to order a regular burger and change the beef burger for a veggie burger only to find out that I get charged extra for a veggie burger.
This is dreadful discrimination. Why must I pay more or lose out on specials just because I do not eat meat. If I go to Spur I can order any burger and get a veg pattie without paying extra.
This is not the first time I have experienced this.
Wimpy really needs to be more versatile.

I have ordered a waffle from Wimpy midwater at 3.34pm for my daughter and myself to share. When I received it was cold and horrible. Was not made fresh. The waitress told me that they make their waffles every morning and re heated with whatever the waffle toppings ordered. I ordered ice cream and chocolate sauce with bar one chocolate. There was no bar one chocolate ...only chocolate sauce which the waitress told me would be charged as an extra. The other half had no smarties as ordred. This wimpy is definitely not up to standard. The service is terrible as the waitress and manager think that the food served was the best quality when it was clearly horrible. Absolutely disappointed.
cold eggs - yuck, cold "toasted" chicken sandwich
Saturday 2nd September was my birthday so my husband thought he would treat me by buying breakfast at Wimpy Blockhouse, northbound. The restaurant was not busy so we thought we'd be in and out in a flash. Wrong. We got our tea and coffee and waited for a good 20 minutes. And to add insult to injury my husbands fried eggs were underdone and cold, and my chicken toasted sandwich was cold. The salad with the toasted chicken was really good, lets give credit where it is due.
This is one birthday present I will remember for all the wrong reasons.

We were having breakfast on Saturday 2/2/2017 10:30 at 176 Kingfisher Ave Freeway Park. Tbale 003/1 CHK 1361 GSt 3- Milkshakes we ordered was watery and then they just added scoop of ice cream when we complaint. Cheese was processed cheese on toasted cheese sandwich. Special burger was only patty with rockefort leaves, no sauces, so small for grown man meal. My son toy he received was not splushy as advertise on TV and he received kinder joy. Lady he spoke to was rude. Our food was not up to standard and son toasted cheese was cut up into 20 small pieces. Poor waiter, service was good but he kept on apologizing. Wimpy your standards has dropped, the food is disappointing for the price. Very expensive for such small portions. My son was very upset.

Contracted food poisoning, quite possible due to chicken. Item ordered was the new chicken bacon burger. The roll even fell apart a bit. Lodged a complaint on the 19th of June. Case was apparently being investigated and food sent for testing, however more than 2 months later.. I doubt anything happened. Still awaiting communication.

In the past, Wimpy breakfasts and coffees were excellent. The Pinecrest Wimpy has deteriorated beyond recognition.
We ordered 2 regular coffes, a sunrise breakfast, soft eggs with white toast and a streaky breakfast, soft eggs and brown toast
1. The coffees were weak, tasted putrid
2. The sunrise breakfast - egg hard and luke warm. Toast cold and rubbery
2. The streaky breakfast - eggs hard and luke warm. The piece of brown toast was not the regular size. It was a tiny piece of over toasted bread, virtually smaller than the egg. The waiter said that this was "expensive whole wheat bread". Bull. Also, the chips were not even warm, they were cold.
As it happens, when I went to pay for the unsatisfactory food and beverage, the man in front of me was also complaining about the "dishwater" disgusting coffee.

My daughter and l went to kloof wimpy kzn.
I ordered an americano coffee with milk, l was told l must have a cuppachino by the waiter. I then explained l wanted an americano with hot milk again she told me to have a cuppachino. 3rd time l explained what l wanted. She left and brought me a black americano. I asked again for hot milk and scrambled egg on toast. She brought the milk with such attitude. I poured the milk in and the coffee was like coloured water. I called her and told her she brought me an expresso shot in a jug... Coffee was do disgusting l had one sip. Scrambled egg arrive and it to was watery, it tasted as if water was used instead of milk, it had white bits in it as though it had not been beaten properly. I am so disappointed. I told her l could drink the coffee and no offer to replace it or even an appology. Wimpy kloof kzn has gone down so badly. Music was so loud couldnt hold a conversation. We paid r80 but left 80% of our meal. Wont be back!

On the 12.08.17, my husband, my son and I decided to visit the wimpy outlet at monty casino, we are aware of the how quick the meals arrive and wanted to have a meal before our movie started at 08:30. We placed the order with the waiter at 08:00, 3 burgers and plate of calamari with chips. The waiter advised 20 minutes and we agreed to wait.
It was 45 minutes later we had not received our meals, we asked the waiter why the delay he says he is still waiting..I finally decided to call the manager. The manager comes to see us with still no meals, and advises they are busy but is attending to our order.
Finally an hour later the meals come but not mine (chicken burger meal was not served) I was very angry stating we only decided to eat there because we know of they are quick and more than 45 minutes later we were hungry, frustrated and very upset. My burger finally comes with just a lettuce, no sauce, or bastings, just a small chicken fillet..I was very annoyed. Nonetheless we paid for the meal and left very upset.

Firstly I want to say I have never walked away from wimpy after having a meal every being dissapointed until yesterday. I had a wimpy burger and it had the most distgusting sauce or relish on it. It made me feel so sick. I get that its a special thing you put on certain burgers but i feel you should put it on the side and allow your customers to decide ife they want it on their burger. It was a real waste of my money and i couldnt even finish the meal which never happens to me when I go to wimpy.

My husband and I ordered takeouts from Wimpy, The Square, Boksburg on Wednesday the 02 August 2017 after 16h00pm.
We ordered two take away cappuchinos to drink whilst we awaited our order.
My Cappuchino was so hot that the first sip actually burnt the palate roof of my mouth. Yesterday morning the burnt skin on the entire palate roof of my mouth actually peeled away and it is so raw that I cannot eat or drink anything.
My husbands Cappuchino was luke warm and he could actually drink same immedietely.
This is not the first time we have experienced such hot take away cappuchinos.
Will Wimpy compensate me for the damage done to the palate roof of my mouth.

The morning of the 3rd of August @ 06:04 we walked into Mkuze's newly renovated Engine quick stop. As most people we stopped there due the franchise name Wimpy. We were the only people at the till wanting to order there famous coffee, the teller looked at us and continued to cash up the teller. We then greeted and ask weather they were open, she replied yes and continued... during this time the entire staff was sitting in the customer seating area... not a soul wanted to help us...disappointed we left without being severed. Unfortunately Mkuze Engen quick stop will not see us again because of wimpy association.

My Name is Pinky Lekoba. Today at 11:45 I visited your restaurant Wimpy Highveld Mall in Witbank and it was full, I understand because it is the end of the month.
We were standing outside the door waiting to be seated, there was a black lady with 1 child in front of me n my 2 children and behind me there was a white couple with 2 children. The manager of Wimpy (a white lady with an injured leg) was the one offering people tables. She literally skipped the lady in front of me n myself to offer the white couple a table without even looking at us.
I told her i was not happy with what happened n she said sorry n i could tell she didn't mean it coz she said it with rolling eyes.
That was a bad service and i think you should speak with her because my family n i love Wimpy but if im going to be treated differently because of the color of my skin then il have to stop going there.

We visited Wimpy Highveld in Witbank yesterday,
We arrived 10:37 and ordered our drinks and breakfast - After an hour I had to go and ask the manager by what time will we have our food, and she said I must just wait a little but she will go have a look what is going on in the kitchen.
The food was cold and not very nice but we eat it because was to scared to send it back and wait another hour for our food.
This was our first time receiving such bad service from a wimpy...

Well this morning we arrived in Vryheid KZN. We ordered coffees wuch came to us hot. We ordered food at 08h30.
The Wimpy was quiet. Probably about 4 other tables occupied. About 40min later we saw our food ready standing there waiting for a waitron to bring us our food. 10 min later our food was brought to us.
My husband and I ordered traditional breakfast brown toast.
We got white toast and ice cold steaks, cold eggs and chips slightly warm. My steak was raw.
Our child ordered cheese toastie and cbips.
It looked like a dogs breakfast and there was a hair in 1 of the bread and cheese pieces.
Shocking experience.
Definitely will not visit that Wimpy again

I bought lunch yesterday at Wimpy in Boulders Midrand.
I wanted to order wings and salad I was told they don't have wings. I wanted fish they did not have fish either, no ribs...
I then ordered quarter chicken with calamari and requested grilled calamari as I do not take oily food. I also ordered chicken mayo sandwich with dumpling whole wheat bread.
To a surprise when I was eating in my car I realised that they gave me a sandwich with normal brown bread not the bread that was on the menu...and the calamari was not grilled but fried.
I was so angry and I called the manager who sounded like there is no big deal between the 2 types of bread from the menue. I ended up eating the chicken and salad. I then returned the sandwich for my refund. When I got there the manager still said they only have 2 bread types and they do not have the dumpling bread for the last 2 months. But the waiter never told me when I was placing an order...Very bad service!Very disappointing how can they force me to eat something that I did not order...

On Sunday 2nd July 2017 at Wimpy in the Sun City Convention Centre we had breakfast at 11h00 . We ordered 4 meals. Two of them were bowls which were good. The other 2 meals both included bacon that was cold. One meal with mince on toast was also very cold except for two hot eggs placed on top of the mince. A burger patty on one meal was cold. A portion of chips was cold. The three cups of coffee tasted very strange compared to the coffee that we have had at various Wimpy franchises all over South Africa.
The service was also remarkably slow for an almost empty restaurant.
As a family we have been to Wimpy restaurants all over South Africa, with varying degrees of service delivery. Our overall experience have always been above average.
Experiencing our overall worst meal EVER at a Wimpy franchise, I decided that it might be a good idea to mention this to the manager.
We were informed that the manager had to go to the toilet and was not available.
After a waiting time of 20 minutes we decided to leave after paying our bill and leaving a tip of 15% for the waitress(who was exceptionally accommodating in the circumstances)
Wimpy is a household name with remarkably high standards in South Africa.
Sun City Wimpy is a total disgrace to the Wimpy franchise.
The fact that this specific franchise is located in one of the most beautiful locations in South Africa with a large international exposure, should be a big concern to the whole Wimpy franchise if this pattern is to be followed in the future.
wimpy operating illegally outside operating hours

Again I need to raise a complaint about the Wimpy at Eldo Square, in Willem Botha ave, Eldoraigne Centurion which are operating until 04H00 in the morning.
The shops customers then standing outside the shop playing load music and talking/laughing and shouting out load disturbing my entire family's sleep the entire night.
By allowing this practice by Wimpy and the square's managing agents they are causing a PUBLIC DISTURBANCE AND CONTRAVENTION OF THE TSHWANE TOWN PLANNING SCHEME, 2008: ERVEN 4640 AND 4641 ELDORAIGNE (ELDO SQUARE SHOPPING CENTRE).
This is the third complaint of this nature and I will log a contravention notice at Tshwane's City Planning and Development Compliance and Enforcement Section.

sour milk, poor service, rude waiters, waiting forever
We came into the wimpy (Potchefstroom bult) no one seated us... We waited 20 minutes for someone to serve us! When we finally ordered some coffee... The milk was sour, they replaced the coffee with the same sour milk, the lady who replaced it were totally rude and said I'm lying the milk wasn't sour! This was the baddest experience ever! Will never go back!

Hello there.
My friend and I visited Wimpy in Hatfield (Pretoria) yesterday for the Best of Both Monday special.
When we arrived a waitress just told us to follow her. She walked us to a table that was dirty and cleaned it as we waited. We then sat down and she walked away. She didn't greet us, give us her name or say that she would be back. We then patiently waited. 30 minutes later, our patience ran out and we decided to call another waiter. He then told us that he would go and find out where our waitress is. He later came back to tell us that he couldn't find her and that he would be the one assisting us.
As if our experience was not bad enough, when he came with the food, the food was not up to standard. It looked nothing like a Wimpy breakfast as we know it.
We're utterly disappointed in the service we got. I hope something is done about this.
