Refund
Air Canada agreed to reimburse the unused portion of air fare due to the COVID shutdown in March of 2021
Instead of cash or credit to my credit card account we were offered a voucher for future travel.
The issue is my wife and I are in our 80's with health issues and can no longer travel . I have attempted to get a refund from Air Canada without success. I'm attaching the information with the hope that you can help resolve this situation, thank you in advance.

Desired outcome: Refund
seats
at a time that the whole world is suppose to be careful you decide to break people apart booked on the same file
shame on you
after screwing millions of dollars out of all of this, you can't seat people together
sad and pathetic
you also have over selling flights and then bumping passengers. at the airport you blamed it on my travel agent and said she mixed up on my tickets, not true at all. my travel agent has been the only one standing behind me and you threw her under the bus. she didnt even tell me you over sold. i over heard another passenger at the airport.
Desired outcome: Air Canada to become an airline for the people, not the liberal party of Canada
inflight service malfunction
1. there was no movie entertainment due to malfuntion we recieved a voucher card AAHJP0D4VL
2. We originally booked a pet coming with us and were told we could do that in premium economy. However on our next contact with AC they said we could not. We already paid the fare and had to change it to economy,
We were told we would lose the difference in fare which we did. W e are out a substantial amount because of Aircanada misinformation. I expect this to be refunded.
our booking reference was3DPW4SW
We completed our trip to new brunswick but at the last minute decided to not take the dog fearing more mix ups at aircanada. We would have like to go premium economy but aircanada system would not let us.
Desired outcome: Refund us the difference in fares for my wife and I .
Luggage put on a separate flight
Regarding Flight AC402 and AC748
This was a connecting flight from Toronto to Montreal to NY LaGuardia. I had 2 suitcases and a tote plus my carry on. When I arrived in NY, the 2 suitcases and tote which I checked did not arrive the same time I did, 4 hours later they finally showed up. Of course no one knew what was going on and after much hassling on my end I was told the time that the luggage would be coming in, I am extremely unhappy and will never use Air Canada again.
service at the Dubai economy counter
Dear Sir /Madam
I was travelling from Dubai to Canada. date. 12 sept 2021 time 9PM UAE TIME
One of your staff put me on the the economy counter 304(online)
The Philippine lady at the was very rude.
no basic manners .
she talks like this WHY YOU HERE
don't come here next time this is online counter.
Manager came to diffuse the situation. said sorry and left.
why only Philippine nationals work at the check in counters. it is like a mafia operating there. Dubai is home to 190 nationalities. Please bring in a mix of people (nationalities) working for Air Canada.
Please check this out urgently. if this lady does not like her job kindly replace. If she continues working for air Canada its just a matter of time this may escalate into a major issue someday .

To whom mat it concern
Dear sir/Madam,
My name is Jeevarubi Suthakaran and I am a Canadian Citizen. My passport Number is HN480298. I have to travel to Sri Lanka due to my mother's funeral. I have booked the Tickets from the travel agent who name is Mahendren from WhiteHorse Travels. I went to the Airport on Sept 09/2021 Thursday, and I have completed my check in in order to get boarding pass. The check in lady showed me website page and questing me about the approval from foreign ministry of Sri Lanka. I do not have, and I was not aware of that as well, because I just went to Sri Lanka in August, and I did not need that document. She said that I can get those documents when arrived in Sri Lanka and provided me the boarding pass. The crews stopped me at ENTRACE ON THE BOARD and called people who were ready to fly to Sri Lanka a side with attitude and looking for the e mail reply. We had explained to our part and the crews did not have listening ears and make racist comments like "NOT OUR FAULT, YOUR COUNTRY FALUT". Specially the lady on the service was very rude and no customer service skills at all. I have asked her some questions and she did not give me any answer because of her lack knowledge of the requirement to Sri Lanka and her angry behavior attitudes. I wanted to go home in Canada and asked her about my baggage and she responded to me to go to Aisle 10. I was waiting in aisle 10 more than 2 hours and my baggage was not there. I had spoken to the person who was in charge for missing baggage, and he checked my baggage tickets from the boarding pass and told me that my baggage was not there and come and get the baggage next day. I did not get me baggage yet and still at the airport. Would you mind helping me to arrange the flight today (2021SEP 10), because I wanted to attend my mother's funeral and also take action to educate the staff well to familiar with the changes and some customer service skills. Please answer me the following questions as well
1. Why Air Canada was not E mail to the Passengers about the requirement little earlier?
2. If the crews aware the changes about the new requirements, then why did they provide the boarding pass at the check in
3. I sent the e mail to the 3 E mail that they directed to me send, I attached the copy of the e mail from the ministry of foreign affairs that there no need any further requirement unless I have ETA ENTRY VISA.
4. Why the crews can provide more information to the passengers, instead of behaving rudely
5. I spent more than 8 hours at the airport, because lack of knowledge of AIR CANDA crews, and I strongly felt that the time is precious for every one and the crews should stop making comment like "YOUR COUNTRY AND MY COUNTRY". The Canada is multi-cultural country.
6. Please note that also the AIR CANADA staff also agreed that Air Canada had very short staff on Sep 09/2021, and very unorganized services was provided on that day
My pass port number - HN480298
MY BAGGAGE TICKE NUMBER: 0 014 AC 484329, 0 014 AC 484330
ALSO THERE IS ANOTHER NUMBER ON MY BAGGAGE TICKET : 33C2F33CJ2F. my baggage are still at the air port
Thank you very much, and please take action sooner because mom is precious for everyone
Thanks again

air Canada cancelling a flight
I work at a gold mine two hours north of Timmins, Ontario, I was scheduled to fly out on Air Canada September 1/2021 at 5:30 am to Toronto and get a connector flight to Vancouver, BC. I was notified quite late I might add, that the flight was cancelled due to shortage of staff on Air Canada, so this meant another night in a hotel and me missing a extra day at home with my family, and had to reschedule a couple of appointments, My shift at work is 3 weeks in and 1 week out, so I feel I should be compensated in a manner that is both fair to me and Air Canada.
Sincerely
Chris Anstey
Desired outcome: Compensation
Service
My brother in law left sudbury Ontario on Aug 8th 2021heading to Fort St John British Columbia with a layover in Vancouver British Columbia. The plane from Vancouver did not make it as scheduled due to the window shattering in the cockpit which resulted in the aircraft having to return to Vancouver. He was told that he would be delayed for 2 days and was put in a motel and given 2 food vouchers totaling 20.00. Due to previous arrangements he was unable to wait and had to have his flight rerouted to Kelowna British Columbia. His trip was booked through expedia. ca with a return date of Aug 22nd 2021 from fort st john arriving in sudbury on the 23rd. He did however change his plans and decided to stay an extra week departing fort st john on the 29th of august which resulted in an extra charge of 450.00?.Considering the problem the aircraft had on his way to fort st john he suffered an anxiety attack which resulted in staff members accusing him of being intoxicated and almost refused to let him board the aircraft, his daughter had to explain at which time they agreed but said they were going to flag him. He arrived in Toronto on the 30th and realized he had lost his wallet, he phoned me in a panic and thought he would not be able to board his flight to sudbury without identification, I told him to go to an air canada service desk for assistance, but nobody was around. I finally got him to put someone on the phone who so graciously helped get him to his proper gate and gave him a boarding pass. This has been the worst experience that resulted in his daughter having to rent a motel in fort st john when his flight had to return to vancouver due to the shattered windshield. He is under a doctors care for anxiety and he was discriminated against due to his disability. I am unable to send photos but I do have some of the aircraft.
Desired outcome: I believe he should be given a full refund
Please advocate to stop forced vaccination of passengers
Air Canada,
I am a registered nurse of 25 years and I fly on your planes frequently between Ontario and BC and prefer them for you any trip. I am very concerned about the attitude that Canadians want vaccination for covid as a condition of travel. This is not true, this is a political agenda and as you can see from Canadians Vitreous response to Trudeau, even unvaccinated Canadians should be gravely concerned about this terrifying government overreach.
Please review the l etter I have sent to AHS regarding forced vaccination if you would like to see why I am so concerned. The links did not show up but I assure you they are all from credible sources. if you cant read this please I beg you watch these two doctors who are censored and trying to expose the dangers of what will be an endless cycle of dangerous vaccines:
https://youtu.be/4jAZuNwopIM and https://www.bitchute.com/video/tDviHlA52Uyr/
thank you
Sara Gough Vancouver
I used to greatly respect AHS/U of A but I now hold you in utter contempt for your completely unethical and unscientific mandate to force all healthcare workers to vaccinate. Even the vaccinated should be gravely concerned by the ramifications of this disturbing government overreach described in this article. Consider the vitreous response to Trudeau over the vaccine issue and surely you can see our governments vaccine fascism is creating anti vaccine sentiment that leading epidemiologists fear will set back the efforts of public health by 2 decades.
I am sure now that you will not likely continue reading, instead, you will dismiss me and the other doctors, nurses and medical professionals who have committed their lives to medicine, as whack job "covid deniers" or "anti vaxxers" - but I wonder if there might be a tiny percentage of you who know deep in their guts that something is wrong.
Where there is risk there must be choice yet AHS will never assume responsibility when these staff members have miscarriages, complications caused by undetectable micro blood clots( death from heart failure is up 12x in 2021 and no one seems to notice) infertility, develop cancer, depression from being assaulted or autoimmune down the road We know vaccine manufacturers skate out of liability completely using shady enforceable contracts with our government (Canada is the same as US).
In just 8 months the covid vaccine has 98x the death rate of the flu vaccine, or any vaccine, since deaths were counted in 1990. Be aware the graph below derived from CDC data, is from July. Deaths in the United States (Canada doesn't seem to count deaths) are now at over 13, 000 deaths and 27, 000 injuries reported in a single week! Yet it is obvious no one cares or discusses this 300 ton elephant in the room . The EU is at 38, 488 mRNA vaccine reported and registered deaths in the EU, UK and US (combined) and 6.3 million reported "adverse events".
See the disturbing table of covid vaccine death and injures based on CDC data a the end of this letter
This Naval Commander speaks of the security risks posed by forced vaccination of the military - Are you prepared to potentially decimate our healthcare system from injuries, LTD, quiitting if this same concern is applied to our healthcare workers? In addition, Low morale work environments undermine patient safety- Are you prepared to risk the damage caused by angry employees who now hate their employer for coercing and assaulting their bodily integrity with an unwanted medical intervention that cannot control transmission for a virus with a recovery rate of 99.7%? This actually low fatality rate is further supported by Stanford's John Ioannidis
This not pepto bismol. This is an MRna Gene therapy injection - How dare you tell a staff member they cannot feed their family unless they submit to a shot that circumvented the typical 7-10 year process and had a "warp speed" trial that never looked at :
a) important outcomes like transmission and hospitalization
b) received deceptive "approval"
c) shockingly has no long term safety testing
c) is giving serious safety signals of grave harms that are being totally ignored?
Covid Mania has caused you to abandon every principle of safe historical vaccine practices:
forcing a vaccine for a Wuhan strain virus when Delta (more contagious but less deadly) predominates (83%) when we know that the current vaccine, or the incoming treadmill of "boosters", have "hope not data (!)" to support their effectiveness?
Forcing a leaky vaccine that cannot be shown to control transmission thereby ensuring stronger variants according to nobel laureates and vaccine experts. Lancet study of vaccinated healthcare workers showing not only transmission of #delta and high viral loads but mutation of delta to a "phylogenetically distinct" strain.
Is your vaccination program then not responsible for driving the pandemic?
Playing whack a mole with the public health until we *"zero covid"* with a fixation on vaccination and lockdowns when it is now obvious that natural immunity is a FAR superior method to confer immunity according to new Israeli data is completely irresponsible and unprecedented as is starting an aggressive vaccine program in the middle of a pandemic. The Great Barrington offered the focused protection approach months ago
Vaccine idolatry has caused fanatical censorship of safe drugs to control and prevent covid and any doctor who speaks of it is quickly marginalized as "anti vax". By condoning this censorship, you are responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands. Japan has fortunately stopped the insanity and will start using Ivermectin
You are ignoring basic facts - like this is already an endemic virus. Denmark is stopping all covid measures and our natural immune systems are here for a reason.the "greater good" argument is a manipulative lie as is the "Pandemic of the unvaccinated" manipulation of statistics by the government. In reality, this is not the case. A recent Oxford review published in the Lancet found Fully Vaccinated Healthcare Workers Carry 251 Times Viral Load, Pose Threat to Unvaccinated Patients, Co-Workers.
The most vaccinated countries in the world can't control covid. Gibraltor has 99% vaccination rates and Israel and Iceland, two of the most vaccinated countries in the world, have recently seen major outbreaks of COVID-19. Both countries had fully vaccinated 60% of the population by July 1st. Yet by early August, Iceland had posted its largest daily total for the number of new infections since the pandemic began, and case numbers in Israel were soaring. What's the logical answer for a vaccine that didn't work? - a lifetime of BOOSTERS!
With your perverse logic - This is actually a pandemic of the Obese! Obesity appears to be the single consistent variable in covid death rates. Why aren't we shaming and marginalizing obese people for not making "responsible" decisions; for having higher likelihood to contract, and thereby transmit, covid and for filling our hospitals? Should we start targeting smokers?, how about drug addicts? If you are going to practice discrimination and segregation based on health choices, why target the tiny percentage of unvaccinated people? Incidentally, It is not true that the unvaccinated are filling hospitals or that unvaccinated are dying and it is clear people catch and readily transmit covid when vaccinated.
AHS and our government tell we are supposed to TRUST profit driven pharmaceutical companies and political "doctors" that the vaccine is safe and effective using misleading stats of relative risk reduction vs absolute to fool the public - WELL WE DONT and the people have had enough of the Salem Witch trial hysteria you have generated.
I would like answers to contradict the evidence I have provided you and please don't say we are "following orders". I've heard that before. You truly have fallen from grace and should feel ashamed that you are now the worst hospital consortium in the country. I will never trust anything that comes from you again.
Desired outcome: Please do not allow government bail outs to stop you from campaigning for fairness
Delayed Flights
Recently traveled with Air Canada from YSJ to YYZ to YEG, all of my flights were delayed to my destination and my returning destination YEG.AC 8497 was delayed 1hr and 40mins, landing in YYZ we sat in the plane on the tarmac for well an over an hour and were told there was no ground crews to offload the plane. I received an email stating that AC177 was delayed until the following morning at 8am, customer service at YYC did book a hotel and I received a $20 meal voucher, after an hour wait for the Hotel shuttle I took a cab to the hotel for $25. Stood in the lost baggage line for 2hrs and was finally told that Air Canada did not even know where my luggage was at. Which was very stressful because I was flying for work and all of my work gear was in my luggage, it also cost me a 10hr double time shift on Sun Aug8/21, the luggage did make it to my final destination.
The return flights Aug23/21 from YEG to YUL to YSJ were also delayed AC334 was delayed over an hour in YEG and then AC8790 in YUL was delayed for over an hour and half of that time I sat in the plane at the gate waiting for a ground crew to push the plane out. This was the most stressful trip I have ever taken with and the shortage of ground crews was an oversight and poor planning by Air Canada, very disappointing to know that Air Canada was booking flights with no way or concern of covering the manpower for ground crews. I will add that all of the Air Canada personnel I dealt with at the air ports and onboard were very professional and understanding, still a very stressful trip with Air Canada and the overnight was the most stressful and I feel that I am due compensation as per Canada Transportations Agency guidelines.
Desired outcome: Financial compensation or at the very least a credit as per Canada Transportation Agency guidelines
refused boarding
I was in Kelowna bc today, for a flight to Vancouver. I was refused boarding by a agent named Julie, I would like to have a response as to why she denied my boarding. booking ref, 4VLEFY, my flight was due to leave at 11am, and I was there at 9 am or before. she refused to give me anything in writing or a print out of what she claimed on her computer as proof. I am asking for a answer from the agent (only) named Julie please.

Cancelled international flight and forced to spend the night at the airport - no voucher, refund or any assistance
My name is Sebastian Briceno. I was flying in business class from Bogota to Toronto, and then connecting from Toronto to Boston - all this on 14 August 2021. My booking reservation was 24DBIE. When I arrived at Toronto at around 2:30 p.m., no Air Canada staff was at the departure gate for the Boston flight. The time kept passing and no one from the airline showed, the only information that passengers received was that the flight was delayed as shown in the screens. The flight was originally scheduled for 6 p.m. and, after more than 2 and a half hours, Air Canada informed us that the flight was cancelled because the crew had fulfilled that maximum amount of waiting time. They directed the passengers to customer services but no one was there - the entire flight waited for more than an our and no one from the airline came - there were woman, children and personas who needed special attention in the flight.
At a 1round 1 pm, a member of the airport staff came and informed us that the airline had rescheduled the flight for next day at 2 p.m. However, since I only had a transit visa, they informed me that I couldnt leave the airport and I had to spend the night by the chairs near customer service. Air Canada did not give me a voucher, accommodation or any assistance whatsoever.
Desired outcome: Compensation of 600 CAD, as set out in the Air Canada and CTA policy, given that i spend more thatn 9 hours between my arrival and final destination
Covid 19 protocol
I travelled on August 13, 2021 (9:40 pm ) in flight 1135 YYZ to HLW. I was at seat 29E and behind me at seat 30D, a passenger had a clearly visible flu like symptoms. I'm really concern about my health. There was no check for the temperature or no question asked when we board the flight. I understand we need to fill a form regarding the Covid 19 and it ask if someone has flu like symptoms, can not board the flight unless have the negative report. But the question is how can Air Canada make sure all passengers do the declaration correctly and honestly. this passenger had flu like symptoms and if she had the negative results for Covid 19, how it can be convey to other passengers so they feel safe.
Desired outcome: I would like to know if the Covid 19 test was done for this passenger so I can take safety measures and quarantine if required

Customer service
I have booked a flight for my 12 (13 in January) daughter to go and see her other who recently moved to Saskatoon.
I wanted to book unaccompanied minor but there was no way to speak to someone in order to do that. I could not even get on the wait list.
Checking the documentation requirements I find that she does not need any to get on the plane...but if she is an unaccompanied minor she must have an original state issued document.
I have been calling all day to try and confirm whether she will be able to get on the plane as it is a long trip to the airport and we need to make contingency plans if she cannot fly.
Desired outcome: Someone calls me on [protected] so that we can sort this out

Price of ticket from Washington Dulles to Ottawa
Please explain how airfare from IAD to YOW cost me $2, 343.00 US departing August 21 and returning Augusts 27, 2021. Note that outbound was booked business class as it was cheaper than economy. Booked online. Fare for a flight July 11 return July 18, 2021 cost $676.20 US. My mother just died (had to fly), and my father is in assisted living need his children to visit on a regular basis. We also need to manage his affairs and several institutions require in-person meetings. How do you account for this huge increase in fare? It is outrageous and offensive. Can't fly on another airline as Air Canada is the only carrier flying from IAD to YOW in the immediate future, and time is critical.ac is holding us hostage with their fares and potentially restricting our access to our ailing parent. Kindly explain how you justify this.
Desired outcome: Please cut my fare at least in half.
Reimbursement claim
I submitted a claim for reembursment shortly after the anouncemet to do so. I received a confermation of that my request was received on 23 April and have not yet had any response. Flight was purchased on 15 November 2019 for travel on 02 Apr and return 16 Apr 2020, Ottawa-London and Barcelona -Ottawa. I have 2 case numbers one of which closed because of the return flight on the same booking.

No resolution from Covid 19 cancellation related air fare refund submitted April 19, 2021
Dear Sir/Madam,
Back on April 19, 2021 after lengthy conversation between Expedia.com and Air Canada it was concluded that I had a legitimate partial refund of USD 655.80 coming to me from Air Canada Ref #MM9Q54, Itinerary [protected] flying in from Delhi to Toronto on Mar. 25, 2020.
April 28th after contacting Air Canada I got refunded $104 USD paid for the seat upgrade on the cancelled flight.
Expedia.com repeatedly claims to have submitted my partial ticket refund documentation to Air Canada on April 19, 2021 bringing my total waiting period to over 13 weeks with no correspondence from Air Canada nor Expedia regarding my approved and expected refund of 655.80 USD.
Today after waiting for over 12 weeks, yet again called Expedia, and I was told another Claim #760960 has been submitted to Air Canada about the refund.
My problem is what happened to the original claim submitted by Expedia.com on April 19, 2021? Since claim submission dates are now closed with Air Canada, what is going to happen to the re-submission of refund Claim #760960 by Expedia on July 28, 2021?
Please help resolve this long and drawn out issue caught in between Air Canada and Expedia?
Yours sincerely,
Gowri Smart
