I am the user of airtel service about 5years. But in between 3 month when i recharged my mobile account, automatically 50 rupees has been deducted. I have complaint about this matter but customer always replies" we will treat your complain within 48 hours, " but there is no response... recently i have sent complaint message to 121 in 2nd aug. 2008 but no response...

I called Airtel customer care for the cancellation of my postpaid Add on as I lost my sim and hand set.The agent said that it is disconnected. But after 4 months I checked the hard copy of my mobile bill and i was still getting the bill for my add on. They take the money for my bill from my credit card so i was ignorant of this. After this I called around 20 times to disconnect the add on but they were insisting mr to take another number. I also paid around 1400 unnecessarily for the other number which they didn't refund. Its a very big torture. I am switching to Vodafone.

deduction of balance
I been using the Airtel prepaid card and these Card i use only for the GPRS and nothing else. Once in a week i activate some time more than tat. The day when i activate the balance is deducted but tan too sometime double or more than tat its automatically deducted when i try to complain through customer care they talk so rude and make me confuse. Other than this yest i got a msg tat MCA is been renewed though i had sent any msg my balance is Deducted for Rs15/- and when i asked to Customer care they reply me telling tat they r not having such kind of information they reply telling to call after some days u will get the information.
i recevies the jokes in Masti pack i want to stop this facilty i try many time to custmer care but not stop & also try to send the msg UNSUB Masti to 53030 but not yet stop itry last two months to stop above Masti pack . please stop this service.

I have an Airtel Boad Band connection at my residence in the name of my partnership firm Craftarium Inc. at Kashmere gate, since Mid 2005. The partnership firm got dissolved on 31st March, 2008 and I made a formal request with their Customer care dept. to change the ownership of the connection in my name as the payment was being made by me now and the connection was there at my residence only in Shakti nagar, Delhi-110007.
My request was answered by Airtel customer care over SMS tha they did not have any service where their Airtel connection was actually installed & working. It happened twice as I reported the matter to Airtel. When I approached the higher authority in Customer Care vide a strong e mail, I was told to submit documents including a proof of residence (inspite of their own connection installed there). These documents were submitted by speed post on 29th May and I did receive call at my mobile that my request is now in process and that my JUne bill will be sent in my personal name. It did not happen even till today although I ave been making payments against the SMS recd. on mobile phone for payment.
When I have taken up the matter again in July end, I have been getting mails from Airtel Customer care dept addressed by a different person every time-one saying that the documents recd. were incomplete and the other mail saying that my request is under process and will be done in 3 days.
This stupid drama is going on for the last 2 weeks and nothing has happened. The connection is at my residence since 2005 and now since April, 2008- I have been making payment every month and Airtel is taking my request of change in ownership as if I ave asked for some thin, they can not afford.
Their customer care executives are unable to understand what I tell them over phone. They even acknowledge that they are only some agents and in fact really behave like mind less Creatures just repeating what they ave to utter without trying to understand any thing.
I only wish- some senior Lawyer or Justice goes thru this mail, checks up the authenticity of my complaint and takes up this challenge to bring such companies to task for the sake of common man.

Charging and deducting money for the subscription of the service for which I have not subscribed. I received the sms from [protected], the sms quoted as follows: You've been renewed for (re-subscription ELUV, Alert) subscription service on Airtel SMS. You've been charged Rs 5.
And this is the second time within two days that money is deducted for the service which I have not subscribed. And presently I am trying to reach Airtel customer care service but unable to reach them. I feel really sad about the service which Airtel is now providing.
I received the sms from 53636, the sms says: "Your free ELUV service has been activated". It is quite irritating because I've never requested such service. My number has been registered with DND for more than 1 year. But such kind of unwanted and unsolicited offer messages are being sent frequently. And whenever I try to reach Airtel customer care service it become unreachable.

Dear sir,
I want to bring your notice that, I am a cutomer of Airtel pre-paid scheme. My number is [protected]. On 2nd August around 12 p.m., I paid Rs. 50 for top up to a airtel dealer near Gota cross road, in Ahemdabad. The concerned dealer told me he will recharge it from his balance through mobile. I put my number in his mobile and after one minute he says you got your balance in your mobile. Because of rain, I did not took out my mobile to check it whether he gave my balnce or not.
Around 6.30 evening of that day I realised there is no balnce in my mobile. So I cheked with the dealer and we made a call to the Airtel cutomer care. The delaer says he got a message from Airtel, that the said number has been recharged with Rs. 50. So we both call customer care to verify. The attendant from otherside after listiening the dealer says, I have to wait for next 24 hours to get my balnce back.
I waited thoruhg out Sunday, then again I called them on Monday and Tuesday, the attendants from customer care keep on saying it will be recharged with Rs. 50 after 24 hours.
On wednesday I did not get any response (6th August 2008). Then on 7th August, 2008, at 10 A.M. (app.) I called the customer care again. They told me that to call after some time and told there is no recharge happened on 2nd August 2008. Again they advise me to got the dealer and make contact with him.
Iwent there on the same day around 12 P.M., when contacted by cutomer care, the dealer says, that he got the message that rechage was sucessful on that day to my mobile (on 2nd August, 2008, at 12 A.M.). After that the cutoemr care people tell me to call again after half an hour. At 1 P.m. when we again contacted them, they told, they can not help. They could easliy track down the transction by the dealer on 2nd August at that time, which they did not do. So the dealer also told me he will not return me the money or rechage my number with Rs. 50. So I lost that amount.
Two isues are important.
One the customer care serviece of Airtel is very poor and could not provide customer necessary informations.
Two, they assist the dealers to cheat public.
I need legal advise on this issue. Rs. 50 may be a small amount. But this can happen to any body with any amount of money. So please help me.

I am using [protected] postpaid Airtel Mobile connections since last 2 years. I didn't receive any bills for the month of Jul'08 even I lodge a complaint on 121, and out going calls stopped by Airtel, while I already paid one year advance Rent. I am not happy from your service, b'coz each & every month I have to lodge complain regarding bill. If you are not providing the bill on time, then how I will make a payment without any bill.
If you are able to continue my outgoing service within 24 hrs., Otherwise I have no other option except disconnect the connection. Pls. refund my Advance rent paid by me without any delay.

I am customer of AirTel Prepaid connection and for past few months i am facing problem for automatic activation on prepaid schemes without my permission. When i ask customer care executive they escape by saying that i may have received a promo calls and had activated the scheme. I told them that i had received a call and i strictly said no to them and i never talk much which this promo calls caller later on i deactivated this scheme on 08th JULY 2008 by loosing my money on activation charge... but few days back on 31st JULY 2008 again automatic renewal subscription msgs send to me by airtel and I strictly never accept that msgs and i talked to customer care executive and he assured me that this service is deactivated from my number and in future this problem never occur again. But when i recharged my account on 4th August 2008 in night my total balance is Rs.56/- but on 5th August 2008 at 11:00 A.M. again my balance was deducted from my account, Then i called up on one of the customer care executive and i asked to stop the service and give me a refund but that lady argued with me then i asked her to let me talk with the higher authority she forwarded the call after a long wait to a person "Veena" who seems to call herself a supervisor but i think she was also simple customer care executive and she argued and disconnect my call... After that I again talked to "Mr. Kailash" on 06th AUGUST 2008 he assured me again that the scheme is disconnected but again the charges which are deducted that is for again background music scheme. I talked to him and he assured me that my money will be refund very soon but nothing happened. Again I talked to Nodal officer on 07th AUGUST 2008 and she again disconnected my call. Again i called to "Mr. Kailash" but on that number i talked to "Mr. Anupam" and he again assured me that i soon received my money refund today i.e. on 07th AUGUST 2008 but i did not receive any payment till date. I am fed up of such service from airtel. I must say that this is not way to do business, its a mere cheating the customer.

I have been using Airtel from more than 5 years now.
My company(LeewayHertz Corporation) was using Airtel Broadband Services with the unlimited plan, we used this from last 3 years and the average bill was 2200/- per month this is when we received a call from Airtel for change of plan telling fake benefits and promising about no extra charges, no extra bills amount and not communicating the entire plan properly, after which our Airtel bill came Rs.30000/- in a month, we were shocked. However we changed the plan back immediately after receiving the bill... and after registering numerous complaints with Airtel (complaint no: Reference no : 6306642 and 6954480), After so many calls, very lenthy discussions we finally received a call from Mr. Hans (airtel) Ph: [protected]/ asking us to pay Rs.7500/- against our charges of Rs.30000/- as all settlement of previous bills, we agreed to pay the same (Airtel Payment done Rs. 7500/- SBI cheque no : 587985, collected by Mr. Ravi ) and Mr. Hans promised us to give us the waiver letter as per our discussion after the clearance of the cheque.
It has crossed more than a month now and we still have not received the letter instead they have disconnected the connection and when asked they are now asking us to pay Rs.5000/- more.Why do we pay more?

I purchased an Airtel prepaid sim about 20 days back.
I submitted the photocopy of my driving licence as Identity proof and the photocopy of address proof issued by my employer (Bajaj Auto Ltd, Pune) bearing company seal.
On 24th July I received an sms from Airtel that my docuements have been rejected.
And subsequently the mobile services were disrupted on 25th July.
I contacted the shop from where I purchased the sim card.
He said that I need not submit the documents again as he has not received the documents back from the salesman (one who collects documents from various retail counters). I kept visiting the shop for 3 days but no concrete action was taken. I got the phone number of the main collection center at Pimpri from the shopkeeper.
A lady there informed me that my documents were rejected but she had no idea why.
She gave me the contact number of the salesman who had collected my documents from the shop.
I called him up and he told me that the address on my licence was not clear. (Though I had submitted it as an identity proof). He asked me to resubmit the documents with the shopkeeper and assured of resuming my mobile services in a few hours. This time I submitted a copy of my PAN card as identity proof and a copy of company address proof.
But nothing happened. On contacting him again and again he started using foul language and told me to talk to the shopkeeper instead.
Loosing all hopes I went to the collection center at Pimpri on 30th July and again submitted a copy of PAN card and the original address proof issued by my employer.
They assured me that my mobile services shall resume very soon. Today it is 1st August and still no action has been taken.
I have been totally harassed by these people, whether it be the shopkeeper, salesman or the people at collection center.
Despite of numerous calls (from phones of various people) and visits nothing has been done to solve my problem. I have done all this amidst my busy office schedule.
I have been completely out of touch of my friends and family.
Despite of numerous promises from these people, I am still struggling to get my mobile services resumed. I am totally frustrated. What should I do?
I have two Airtel prepaid mobile connections : [protected] & [protected]. Recently I have observed un necessary deductions from my balance at regular intervals everyday. It is very very difficult to reach the customer care number at 121 . I have not received any response to the message sent to *121#. I do not require any so called value added services (vas) from Airtel .

The person who's calling me, without asking anything alse he used very dirty language to tolking with me and misbehaved with me in the phone, He Used MC or BC and other nonsence word at 2 time on the same number.
I want to disconnect the number immediately.
This is lesson for the person of his misbehaviour.

Afternoon of July 28th, I recharged my Airtel prepaid.
Evening of July 28th, my mobile handset is lying idle on the table. Suddenly I recieved a message from [protected] stating "Thank you for using Airtel Live Services. You can now download the best of games http://202.46.201.111/ar3/mixgames/main.jsp only on Airtel Live!" When I checked the balance, I found that Rs. 10 is deducted...
Before the above-mentioned incident, I had lost Rs. 90 in the same way one week before. I had made several calls to CC but...no use. Keeping that in mind...I decided to LET GO the Ten Rupees and kept the phone back on the table in front of me. After some time, I again received two messages of same kind. When I checked, ...I had lost Fifty Rupees...what a F#^^$ Airtel.
It is a very well professionally, strategically planned formula, which Airtel is using to rob money from. First they deduct money in various ways. Second, they have taught their CC reps how to postpone the matter, how to make us repeat the whole story every time we call CC, Air-Tel succeeds when most of us usually get fed up and forget about the money.
Once they ate 99 Rupees from my account, but after my weeks of struggling, I got the money back.

I have taken a post paid corporate connection from Airtel and opted for auto debit from Credit card for monthly bills. After some months the are started charging aroun Rs.2000/ for astrology calls though we have not made any. I have complainted for few months and it was ok... afte some time time they have started again.

I inquired for broadband connection at Airtel office sec 15, they provide me a cell no. [protected] of their sales executive named Krishan Singh Yadav. I called him(dt. 02-07-2008) and asked him to provide me broadband connection at ShivajiNagar. On phone he said airtel don't provide broadband connect in shivajiNagar Gurgaon. Then i replied him... "My Land load (living in the same house in groundfloor), is using a broadband connection of airtel then how can you say "Airtel doesn't provide connect there". After that he came to my house and before telling me the plan he checked the slot for connect whether it is empty or not. He called to the technical department in front of me an confirm about the empty slot. After confirming the empty slot, he told me the plan of Rs 555 and received Rs 500 and required documents (photo, Id proof etc.). He ensured me that i will get connect either on sat (5th july 2008) or monday (7th July 2008). On Sat 5th july i received a call from an line man of airtel, he said their was not empty slot, i requested him to confirm it again as Krishan singh yadav had confirmed it from tech department in front of me. Then line man visited my house and confirmed the empty slot and requested me to wait for 10 - 15mins and i m coming back soon. I did wait for him from 3 pm till evening but he did not come back. On monday evening i called to Krishan singh yadav, he gave me a cell no. of Mr. Arvind to have the status of connection. Arvind replied me... as he wasn't in the office so could not tell me the status and when he visit office then tell you the status. After that I could not get a single call from him. I called many times to Krishan Singh Yadav. Even once he forward my call to some other guy Mr. Mukesh, he said the empty slot gone choked, the reason for delay. But every time he replied me that you would connection very soon. I registered a complaint at 4444555 airtel no. 9152198 on friday 11th July. I had a call dt 12th july from a person in airtel that i could not have airtel connection as in shivajiNagar as there were some work going on the roads of shivajinagar(digging roads) and the wire for broadband connect became cut in the earth. So airtel will refund you money of Rs500 to you by chq within 15days. After few mins of that call i received a call from a lady in airtel against my complaint. But i could not get any solution.
One is telling... Choking slot problem (that can be replaced) and other says digging road problem(if so how my landlords connect is working).They are just making me fool nothing else. This was really my a very bad experience with airtel. I never expect this kind of things from airtel...

This is a my humble request for MNP([protected]) issue. I heard that Airtel has the robust network all over India so I think to go with Airtel and submitted all my document to Airtel office at Housing Board Chandigarh two and half month back.
But the height of the irresponsibility is that the all my document still not be dispatch to the back office. All my document is lying with the Housing Board Chandigarh office.
I have gone personally to same Office 7-8 times. Every times they says they ask for one day. Its seems that people over there are very Lazy and irresponsibility.
I realize that there is not any cost of the customer and decision to go with Airtel also seems to be wrong.

Once I have booked my Air ticket from bombay to Noida through Airtel. But It was too disguest experience i have. They have just offered me to travel in just 12 Rs. + 1 Rs as TAX. in all just 13 Rs. of ticket fair i have payed from bombay to delhi.

i had same issue with Airtel while transferring my connection from Hyderabad to Karnal. First they confirmed they had services in Karnal(although they operate in Karnal in every region) but finally they didn't transfer my connection here.
the whole drama took hell lot of following up with them thru mails and phone calls.
i think they should improve their customer care..
sim rejected
My sim got rejected as I entered the puk no told by the services customer care.. Probably it was wrong... So look into the matter and got it function as early as possible
no incoming calls from land lines to mobile, no sms after chargeable call, etc.
The new 9008151xxx series from Airtel already issued to the customers having the following problems.
1. Unable to receive incoming calls from land line numbers from other states.
2. After calling and ending the call, no automatic sms for the chargeable call which is going to give duration of last call, call charge, available balance, expiry time etc.
3. Unable to send msgs from internet.
4. If available balance is low, say eg. Rs. 20, and if we do call by this time, IVR response says that the available balance is Rs.20 followed by Rs.100 followed by Rs.140 followed by Rs.1000 etc.
Already informed to customer care executives and one of the experienced technical team members told that I have to dial *123 from my mobile without followed by # key to get the automatic sms for the chargeable call. I did and after keying *123 and dialing it I came to know that "the number you have dialed is invalid, pl. check the number and dial again"...
How good to see such an experienced technician saying something which is an invalid information and at the same time its good to see that the person is working for Airtel. This indicates that a person who is having poor technical knowledge can able to survive with such a companies like Airtel.
I'm happy to have a Airtel prepaid connection because at least it is providing food for so many persons who are not having any knowledge and working with good designations at Airtel. What a worst network it is... And fyi that Its already three weeks has been completed but with the same outstanding issues.
Hmm, Airtel... One of the worst network providers in India for the year 2008.

On 6/62008 I got a SMS from 303049 -- Thanks for subscribing RTRB service. I never requested for this. Even I hav'nt Hello Tunes service with me. I never wanted this service RTRB. Ring tone ka Maharaja etc.
6/62008 I called Cus care 12. Lodged complaint .
Complaint No. -- [protected].
No reply or action taken . rs 49/- deducted from account, 726.78 were in my account.
Never used this service, as I have not HELLO TUNES with me.Neither I was told how to get it deactivated.
On 7/7/2008 -- SMS from 303049 service subscription 30 mnts renewed. 49/- again deducted.
Called 121 I requested to debit Rs 98/- ( 49+49). But I was told by Mr. SARVESH at Mohali to unsubscribe now but amount deducted can not be debited back
PLEASE DO THE NEEDFUL I HAVE BEEN CHEATED BY AIRTEL. I AM PLANNING TO WITHDRAW THIS NUMER AND OTHER TWO NUMBERS (AIRTEL) WITH ME. I was not expecting this from BHARTI. Really astonishing.

I do agree with this as because, when ever we call for finding out the status with regard to the above said issues, the customer care executives says that, " this is so and so, how may i assits you",
followed by "presently the server is down, pl. call after one hour". And good to see that the servers are busy even at mid nights.
What a blady network and worst services from Airtel.
100 % accurate information has been provided for which I too experiencing the same issues. Even I'm missed some interview calls from major companies because of no incoming facility from other state land lines.
Airtel...Not only one of the worst network providers for the year 2008 but for the year 2009 too, as because already three weeks finished, still they are working on it as per the customer care executives information.

I am writing this mail in great pain and frustration. Though I have been a satisfied customer of Airtel for the last 7 years but in the last one and a half months the way I have been harassed by Airtel Service center I must say that I have changed my views about the company. Bottomline is I spent more then Rs 35, 000/- in buying a blackberry set from Airtel Service Centre and out of 35 days I have not used it for more then 4 days. My new airtel BB no is [protected].
I bought Blackberry 8310 set from Sector 14 customer service center at Gurgaon. My number got disconnected on 23rd June on the grounds that I have not submitted my employment proof. Please tell me that I purchased this number on my own so why do they need an employment proof and even if it was required why the hell it was not informed to me when I submitted my other documents when I bought this number from the same place.
On 24th june immediately I submitted my employment proof in the hands of Manager of Service Centre and after that the services got activated but ONLY GSM and no value added services got activated.
From here the service center people started torturing me. I called up the manager on the daily basis from 24th June to 27th June for restoring my VAservices as I was not able to access my e-mails. He keep on dodging my by saying that the services are getting activated in next half an hour but it never happened for 5 days. Everytime I called up at 121 I got to know that I have not submitted my employment proof whereas I had given the proof in the hands of that manager.
On saturday 28th June at last, I personally visited the service center and he restored my services in half an hour and told me now I can use my BB without any issues. I cant understand when it was half an hour job for him then why the hell he hadn't done this when I was following up like anything with him. He also told me that employment proof was not required as its my personal number.
On 30th June once again my VAservices got deactivated and the reason was same that I have not submitted my employment proof. After couple of hours even my SIM got deactivated and the phone stopped working showing no coverage and SIM registration failed. I again called up this great gentleman and he told me that you come to service center again and I will change your SIM card. I visited the service center on 5th july and his guys told me that he is not in office whereas he was in office only. On my insistence that I want to meet him he came out from his cabin and told me that he is not having any SIM card and I can come on Monday or may be I could go to other service center. The staff there treated me as if I am demanding unreasonably and told me to come on Monday only.
What the hell these guy thinks that we have all the time in the world to follow up with these guys. I am suffering after buying a handset for 25k, depositing 6k for international roaming and 5k for the first month bill and I have not used my phone at all.

Even i am facing problems because of airtel's weak service.After the ayodhya matter govt ordered all the telecom companies to re-confirm their customers documents.I have submitted the documents twice in the customer center as suggested by the aritel by a msg service.Then too i receive sms's and calls regarding submitting the docs. I m an hosteler here and is running out of time and finance to go to the centers again and again.So from the bottom of my heart, with all due respect i would like the airtel employees to fold an airtel banner each and shove it in their [censor] and [censor] airtel..
The customer care service [protected] sucks... first of all, its got a bad sound quality where nothing is clear ( i have tried from two different mobiles and a landline system also) second the Airtel jingle, the way it starts is depressing, third... they torture lost customers by puting them on hold with this depressing music, for ever.
Airtel outlets in areas other than the Brigade Road, Indiranagar ... and posh areas like that have sad executives, forget being professional, they dont even know the basic language.
A simple SIM activation took two days and almost about 4 hours on the phone, trying to get the problem fixed (inspite of knowing kannada, english and hindi) yet not solved, i had to change my number ultimately...
In this age of Advanced Technology, Brand like Airtel needs a lot of tweaking i guess.
Airtel has the sickest possible customer service in the country. The call center is irresponsible and their sales people or marketing people are the rudest on earth. I have had at least 10 instances of being harassed by them. Airtel, teach your employees some manners before putting them on to the job.

I would like to just say no to Airtel now, because of customer services. On 17th Aug. I had been charged for Rs. 30 for Hello Tune Activation which had not been Activated by me and the Call center executive was saying that I got a call on 17th Aug. at 1:44 pm. from Airtel and I accepted the service. Do you thing that I am a Fool to Accept the Service and to claim non-acceptance. The fact is that I did not recieve any call from Airtel on the given date and time.
Later in the evening when I called to Airtel cuctomer service. The executive said to unsubscribe from Hello Tune Service by calling on [protected] and after unsubscription you'll get your money back within 4 hours, but I did not get back my money.
And Every time when I used to call at Customer Service, They used to give the details of recharge options only. No other services are working properly.
Kindly do something for me as well as for rest of your customers.

I have a lifetime free incoming facility connection which I did in feb or Mar 2007. Since today morning, my incoming, outgoing and SMS has been barred and on inquiring I was being said that the system have my connection information from Aug 2007 and I would have to renew my free lifetime incoming facility again since they don't have any information. This is extremely frustrating, moreover even if I again recharge my cell with free incoming facility they might again say the same thing next year. Its not possible for me to renew my free lifetime incoming every year because of their poor customer data management.
