Recently the way the pharmacy notifies you that you need to have a prescription refilled has changed. One time I received 3 notices on one text. When I replied to have them refilled I only received one of them was refilled. I also have had problems if a prescription needs a doctors approval before the staff can refill it. The staff tells me the request is sent to the doctors office by the way of a fax. Either the doctors office isn't replying to the request or it is getting sent to the wrong number. This means information is getting into the wrong hands.
Most recently Monday a week ago my wife got a request from pharmacy to have a prescription refilled.. The prescription required a doctors approval before they could refill it. She called on Wednesday to see if it ready. The staff replied no that they were stilled waiting on the doctors approval to refilled. The staff said that it would be ready Saturday. She checked on it Saturday and they were still waiting on the doctors approval. By this my wife was off of the medication. Ma bell works very well and still is the best way to communicate. Why can't the staff call when they have sent the request several times by fax and haven't got a response. It is great that you are notified when a prescription is needed to be refilled. I have learned that when one of prescription needs to be refilled I call my doctor and get refilled.
