Alibaba Beware of Alibaba.com's Trade Assurance: A Nightmare to Navigate and a Complete Sham

I would like to share my experience with Alibaba.com and their "So Called" trade assurance. I highly advise anyone to be cautious when dealing with sellers on this platform as their trade assurance is a SHAM. If you try to contact their supposed customer service representative, "Automated Anna," you will have no recourse.

When I finally spoke to a real person, they were just as automated as Anna. I ordered an item that I was not completely sure was allowed in Australia. After researching Border Force, I could not find any more information on it, so I went ahead and placed a very expensive order for $240 USD.

Customs held my order for 12 days, and I thought it was confiscated. They finally released it, and after paying $120 USD for express shipping, I received it on 4/1/20. The seller lied to TNT, Customs China, and Border Force AU about what the product was called on all the paperwork. It was a dangerous item to send, but they did not care and just wanted my money.

To cut a long story short, it turns out that what I ordered is not what I received, and it is more than likely what they called it on all the documents. I placed a complaint with Alibaba.com, but I posted it under the wrong category and had to wait 30 days for their time frame to expire.

Now, I have been trying for several days to file a complaint under "Item not what I ordered," but they will not allow me to apply for a refund because it has been more than 30 days since I received my order. I demanded to file a formal complaint and talk to a supervisor, but I still got nowhere with their automated customer service agent.

Simply put, do not trust Alibaba.com or their supposed trade assurance. If you try to get help, the automated system is a nightmare to navigate, and dealing with them is almost impossible. Maybe it is the China-Australia thing at present, but judging from what I have read on the internet lately, it is just an Alibaba.com thing.

Be extremely careful if you do deal with them and place absolutely no faith in their trade assurance.

Alibaba Beware of Dealing Through Alibaba: A Frustrating Experience with Poor Customer Service and Unprofessionalism

I recently made my first order with a new supplier for stickers on Alibaba. I made sure to communicate that I needed a split back sticker, which means that the backing is split down the center to make it easier to peel and apply the sticker. This is important for my customers who often wear work gloves and need an easy way to open the sticker. Unfortunately, the stickers I received did not have the split back. I was disappointed and frustrated with Alibaba's response. They only refunded a portion of my money, which was about 1/3 of the total cost.

What was even more frustrating was how they treated me. I tried to explain my situation for a month, but it felt like I was talking to a robot every time. They were not willing to help me, and their customer service was unprofessional. In the future, I will test out a product with a smaller order and use a different third-party escrow service that actually cares about their role. A true fiduciary would hold onto the funds until I am 100% satisfied, and if the seller deviates from the agreement, then I get ALL of my money back.

For larger orders, I would also enlist the help of an inspection service, but definitely someone outside of Alibaba. I cannot rely on Alibaba Trade Assurance to provide me with actual relief in the event of getting scammed by the supplier. Another alternative website that I am having better luck on is made-in-china.com because they provide actual escrow services. I have spent nearly $25,000 through them so far, and I have had no problems. They held onto my money until I confirmed that the purchased goods were in good order.

What's even better is that their escrow service didn't cost me one more dime! Whereas Alibaba added insult to injury by providing terrible customer service, keeping 70% of my money, and charging me a hefty fee for the privilege of being screwed. They didn't even offer me breakfast in the morning. My advice is to beware of dealing through Alibaba.

Alibaba Disappointing Experience with Alibaba's Trade Dispute System: No Resolution in Sight

I gotta say, I'm pretty bummed out about my experience with Alibaba. I had a trade dispute with one of their suppliers back in April of 2019, and it's been a real headache ever since. The case just kept dragging on and on, with no resolution in sight. Finally, on May 8th, the supplier was given a deadline to respond to the evidence I provided. But guess what? They never did! And instead of taking action against them for not responding, Alibaba just...did nothing. The case was left open, with no communication from the Mediation Dispute Department whatsoever. I mean, come on! What kind of customer service is that?

To make matters worse, the only way to contact the Mediation Dispute Department is through their "system evidence window," which they only open when they feel like it. And once they close it, you're out of luck. I had to resort to emailing a generic company address and begging customer service reps for help, but they couldn't do anything except pass along a message. It wasn't until July 17th that I finally heard back from the Trade Dispute Mediation department, and even then, it's been a whole month with no resolution in sight.

The thing that really gets me is that the supplier clearly didn't meet the contract requirements. I have pictures and videos that prove the product measurements were off, but Alibaba seems to be dragging their feet on holding the seller accountable. The seller's excuse is that the height doesn't affect the quality or usage of the product, but that's beside the point! They promised a certain height in the contract, and they didn't deliver. It's not rocket science.

Overall, I'm just really disappointed in Alibaba's Trade Dispute system. It's a mess, with no clear way to get in touch with the people who can actually help you. And even when you do get a response, it's like pulling teeth to get anything done. I wouldn't recommend using Alibaba if you're looking for a reliable and efficient way to resolve trade disputes.

Alibaba My Frustrating Experience with Alibaba.com: Multiple Disputes and False Evidence

My experience with Alibaba.com was not a pleasant one. I placed an order with a trade assurance and purchase contract, with an inspection pre-shipment order. The trade term was under the FCA term, and the payment term was 50% as the down payment and 50% as the balance payment to be paid after inspection. The shipping date was supposed to be on 30 Oct 20, but the seller did not send the goods on time, which led to multiple disputes.

I opened the first dispute on 22 Oct 20 because the seller could not prove their guarantees based on artc10. The second to twelfth dispute was because the seller did not send the goods on time based on the shipping date in the contract. The inspection was suspended on 23 Oct 20 and canceled by me on 3 Nov 20 because the shipping date had already passed.

What was frustrating was that Alibaba.com asked me to continue the order even after the seller provided false evidence, said that there was no meaning to take after so long, blacklisted me, and did not respond to nine out of twelve disputes. Alibaba.com also said that claims of delay were not supported because I did not make the balance payment. They also said that they could not force the seller to respond to the dispute, but they could still ask me to continue the order.

The solution that Alibaba.com gave was also not helpful because the contract term of the solution referred to the order that had already been closed. Additionally, Alibaba.com required me to provide evidence repeatedly, but they did not respond to the evidence I sent. On 28 Oct 20, the dispute team said that the order was under the EXW term, while on 26 Oct 20, I sent the contract as evidence to the dispute page, which stated that the trade term was the FCA term.

What was even more frustrating was that the Alibaba dispute team's decision was based on what the gold supplier thought, not based on the contract. Overall, my experience with Alibaba.com was not a good one, and I would not recommend it to others.

Alibaba Alibaba Review: Not Worth the Risk - Trade Assurance Slogan is a Trap!

want to import products, I suggest you find another platform. Alibaba is not worth the risk.

I have been using Alibaba for a while now, and I have to say, it's a bit of a gamble. Their trade assurance slogan is a trap, don't trust it. I have had to file disputes several times because I received products that were unusable. I showed them all the images and explained the case, but Alibaba always seems to side with the supplier. It's frustrating because I have invested a lot of time and money into buying products from them.

My most recent experience was with rib-knit products. I waited around a month to receive them because of sea shipping, but when I finally got them, they were in terrible condition. I contacted the supplier and showed them the images, but they were not helpful. I had no choice but to file a dispute. After several back and forths, I was told I could recover 1/3 of my loss, which I thought was fair. However, justice was not served because 2/3 of my cost was down the drain. To my surprise, they closed the case without giving me the money. I contacted customer service and escalated my case, but they told me that according to their policy, 30 days had passed, and I couldn't recover my money. This was not true because I had started the case way before the 30-day time frame.

It's a very unfair place, and they monopolize the market, so we don't have many alternatives. I don't think I will go back to Alibaba again. It's just not worth the risk. If you want to import products, I suggest you find another platform. Alibaba is not the only option out there.

One thing that really bothered me was that when I filed a dispute, I couldn't write a review. They removed the review button to protect the suppliers. This is not right because other buyers need to know what they are getting into. It's important to be able to share your experiences with others.

Overall, I would say that Alibaba is a bit of a gamble. You never know what you're going to get, and their trade assurance slogan is a trap. If you do decide to use them, be prepared to file disputes and fight for your money. It's not an easy process, and it's not always fair.

Alibaba Customer service on Lazada Malaysia

Dear Sir,

My Name is Chris Gomez from Malaysia and I have been a Lazada Malaysia customer over 7 years or so. Recently I order a product and found it to be fake and requested a Refund 0f RM249.42. Refund was given to e-wallet but since I bought it for someone they wanted the cash back. So from the 26th May 2023 I have made a request to their Customer Service Person Rasyidah and till today there has been no solutions on the Withdrawal back to my account But only given excuses.

Just for this case alone 5 Case Nos: [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected] and [protected] and about 15 customer service personal handling just this one case, isn't this ridiculous? As I continue to check on this case, I found out that none of the Customer Service Personnel or even their Superiors have any knowledge on how to handle such a case, all have zero knowledge and more so ever there is no SOP in force, if there was none of this would have happened.

After being a loyal Lazada Malaysia Customer for more than 7 over years and spending Thousands of Ringgit, I do not wish to continue my business with Lazada any longer and have now signed up with Shopee where they give you a Money Back Guarantee and since this incident with Lazada, I am have a tremendous online shopping with Shopee and even they gave me a Welcome Gift which I did not even expect at all.

So I do hope that whoever this mail of mine is received by, will look into this and get me back my money.

Then a couple of days later. I got a tracking number and then a request for thirteen hundred dollars for insurance or they could not deliver the vehicle. It was In pakistan so I paid the $1337 Immediately. The following day he Requested for me to pay.$2003. He wanted me to pay him on paypal family and friends himself a $1001

Then he wanted me to pay this other person.$1002.This $2003 Was supposed to pay for custom services and so on. The next day I checked the tracking number and the $1337 Was not pay to the shipping company it was still on hold by customs in America his word said.

Desired outcome: If there's a misunderstanding to work out the misunderstanding and get the car delivered to my property as soon as possible. If it is fraud money back and find another way to purchase this car.

I contacted the supplier who stated that the product was shipped on August 16, 2021 and as of today June 20,2022 I still have not received my purchase. I contacted the supplier numerous times at least ten times) about the product status using the message function in ALIBABA and was told the product was in customs awaiting clearance. I contacted Trade Assurance Support (approx. December 2021 and requested a refund based on non - delivery guaranty which is one of the T.A. payment platform key benefits. er, which I tried numerous times without any success. This process has been ongoing since lDecember 2021 and the correspondence has exceeded in at least 10 to 15 emails with this department.

I eceived numerous duplictate emails requesing to upload the order and payment information which I did many times, I received back the same bogus replies and contact information, as if this is a brand-new case and I am never able to get to point where the Trade Assurance non delivery guarantee of a refund is enforced. It is a perpetual circle of emails avoiding closure by having my purchase price refunded per the conditions for using the Trade Assurance payment platform, effectively stalling this issue.

The purpose of the of Trade Assurance program is to avoid offline disputes and protect payments by buyers to promote confidence in doing business with the Alibaba trade application, thus allowing this application to grow ala EBAY and AMAZON.

This non delivery of my product is close to two years (supposedly shipped August 16 2021) with no proof of shipping by the manufacturer. and yet your support team continues to stall and will not invoke the T.A. payment platform guarantee of a refund for non-delivery.

Alibaba TA is totally neglecting my evidence. This negotiation process is farce.

no resolution for byer just for Chanise supplier.

no reasonable answers or totally avoided issues raised in dispute by buyer.

looks very suspicious of siding up with supplier.1.opening serving window struts too short, only small person can get under creating hazards and is dangerous( struts wrongly positioned) .2. soft pipe plumbing is not acceptable as is not working at all, blocking water to flow3. sink leaks and taps are not fitted properly , totally wobbly 4. caulking around tail lights horrible needs replacement 5. electrical wiring not to acceptable to international standards creating hazards 6. all supplied gas equipment not to Australian Standards I was assured re compliance. where are shelves in cupboards . i bought laser hair removal machine in sep 2022. amount $5600.im in from Canada. when i bought machine they show me all licensing. but on Canada border not approve that licensing. and asking for more license for prove. laser company not providing license and says custom clearances is buyers job.

they not helping .

now laser machine is under health Canada. After i request a lot they send one license. That license i send to health Canada. But heath Canada rejected. And health Canada doubted its Fouad company. laser company not refund me too.

Alibaba Staff behavior - rude and asked me to delete alibaba no problems - harassment

I am new on Alibaba and facing problems for uploading the products on Alibaba and trying to contact with Alibaba staff and get very bad experience and rude
She is not resolved my problem and when I asked can resolve the problem or should I forget then she answers me rudely that forget Alibaba or delete there no problem
Meaning "if I am not getting solution then delete Alibaba from my computer and forget it and she don't care"
How the staff can say this?
I have all records and chat history which I want to share with news and social media, it is very rude answer and from one month I am waiting for the solution and harassment, I am using Alibaba from 5 years and now the first time I feel shame on that answer to " forget alibaba and use another like amazon.

then ı have purchased products from them.

all payments were via alibaba system

and ı puschased product monitoring service from alibaba.com

products arrived and quality is poor.products broken.

Supplıer does not accept its mistake and alibaba does not support me and help.

my companies 17.000 usd is lost.

and alibaba ask me not warranty agreement.

it was gold supplıer and ı have trusted alibaba.com

ı want alibaba solve my problem with their gold supplıer.

Recently I bought an Android 10.0 Car Multimedia Player Stereo 6+128gb for a 2011 Subaru Forester thru Alibaba.com ,. order number [protected], as of 09/09/2022 The product came defective and I make a claim. The seller , Ms. Allan Wei, advice me, several times, to cancel the refund application for she was to take care of the problem for me as soon as possible. Time passed and she never solved my problem. This is a $417.00 products. I want to know if you can help me out to get a replacement. Please, let me know what you need in order I can get a replacement. 1. There is too much alternate things mixed in with a particular item's web content, making it less use friendly

2. The messages do not have links directly back to the item's page, where I can reference specifications and etc.

3. The search filters are insufficient. To enhance it, add options (and post instructions) add "-","+", quote and variable options.

4. Replies to questions are often not answered unless you ask 2 or 3 times.

Placed an order for 13 items. Order no [protected] placed on 7th October 2022. Keep asking for tracking no from suppliers and either no response to query or tracking no is fraudulent. Typical answer "We are having a national holiday and will get back to you". This after 10 days

Desired outcome: Please refund money and get rid of scammers.
