My name is Joen Baker and I used to be an employee at the Appleebee's location in Aiea, Oahu. I just recently quit my job because I felt like I was being mistreated by my boss. I've made some mistakes like any other normal person does but so has my boss and she never owns up to it. Quick question, shouldn't a writen up statement between you and the manager be private and confidential? If so, then please tell me why my manager was going around telling everyone what I had said! An incident happened at work with a bunch of us employees and we all knew the consequences of our actions, as did I. I owned up to my mistake with no excuses. They had found something that should'nt have been in the freezer and blammed it on the wrong people. I wasn't going to have that on my guilty conscious, knowing that people would be getting fired and it wasn't even theirs. So I told them that I knew whos item that actually was and my two managers assured me that no one would know who told them the name. I wasn't going to tell them the name until I knew they were serious about it. So I finally told them and they told me that they were going to say that they had caught them on camera and that no one would know that I was actually the one to spill the beans. But then, tell me why that following morning I get all of these rude awakening text messages from my furious co-workers because my so called "BOSS" went and spilled the beans about everything I had told them. I was so angry and confused because what kind of boss would tell others about my "private statement" and then reassure me that no one woule ever know. So not thinking straight I texted my boss and may have said some things i shouldn't have (which I apologized for right afterwards) and asking her why should would do that to me? And she completely denied it the whole time, blaming it on the other manager that was there with us. I know it was infact my boss because I was on the phone with my co-worker while she was with our other co-worker on the phone with our boss. And when I told her to her face that I know she was the one to tell everyone she lied straight to my face and was just playing the victim role saying "believe what you want, but I didn't tell anyone anything", " I wasn't the only one sitting down with you that day." So thinking I could trust my other manager I messaged her what was going on and she totally didn't care on what I had to say. She immediately called our boss and I know that they were plotting some scheme against me because they had called corporate before I even got a chance to! That is so messed up considering they never wanted to give me corporates information. They fed them false information and twisted everything up making me look like the bad guy at fault when actually it was all of their doing. Also that place is so unprofessionally runned! They need way better management there. I've also heard that some of the workers be smoking ice in the walk in, inlcuding my boss. How can they let someone who smokes ice run a restaurant? I'm being punished by not having a job now, while she's still at work running a restaurant. Actions need to be taken, my side of the story should be heard too regardless! Boss's arent allowed to socialize with us outside of work, yet here she is always hanging out with us and treating us to drinks. I'm still so hurt, mad, stressed, confussed, and just frustrated that Appleebee's would have someone working for them that acts this way. I thought she was someone I could trust, but apparently you can't trust anyone at Appleebee's!

My name is Allegre Rankin and I went to an Applebee's in Georgia on Saturday Aug 4, 2018. The address is 4705 Memorial Drive Decatur. I order all you can eat chicken tenders and all u can eat ribs. The waiter brung out all you can eat ribs for myself and my girlfriend. When that wasn't the order that was place he took my ribs back but never came back with the tenders.. he didn't even come back to check on us with drinks. He was telling us he was helping on the grill. Then we ask for the manger Mr. William Powell came out and he wasn't rude at the time he was telling us about Uber eats taking priority over the people in the store. We explain to him that we didn't want the chicken tenders and he had the waiter bring it out in a to go box. My girlfriend explain that the ribs was cold and she didn't receive fries. He told her that she shouldnt be worried about fries she should be worried about protein. He was completely out of line for that. I told him he is in the customer service business and he needs to be a little nicer. And that I will be calling corporate he said u can call they will tell u I been with the company for 11 years. My whole point of this email is Mr. Powell needs more customer service training he was really rude and he doesn't know how to handle situations that occur. He did comp out our meal but he was really rude and I won't be visiting Applebee's for awhile.. I just really want Applebee's to help there staff with more training on customer service. Also this happen with the table that was in front of us. They was waiting on there second meal and it never came.
I went to dinner at the Applebees at 132nd and Maple St, Omaha NE 8-9-18. I ordered an Apple Sangria which was quite good. I then ordered the slab of BBQ ribs, baked potato and broccoli. The ribs arrived died out, the broccoli was overcooked and mushy and the baked potato was perfect. So, knowing the rib entree was good as it was going to get, they offered another entree. I ordered the grilled shrimp and chicken breast. It arrived with shrimp burned beyond recognition and the breast was dry and stringy. The potatoes, mushrooms and onions were quite good. I asked to speak to the manager again and showed him the shrimp, except he couldn't tell they were shrimp they were so shriveled and burnt. I then showed him the chicken and he just stood there and looked at the mess. I asked him if this how the meal is usually cooked and he said no and took the dish back to show the cook. At this point, I was pretty disgusted. He then told me the "big manager" was going to cook the same meal this time. For what that was worth. I called my waitress over and said I'd had enough, paid for my drink, tipped the waitress and left. Applebees used to have good food, then that store went downhill, then the word on the street said Applebees changed their menu and the food improved. Well, this store needs new management and some serious kitchen staff training. I regret I did not take photos of the meals. I feel badly for customers who just eat poorly prepared food or they don't tip the server bc the food sucks.. Word of mouth makes or breaks a business and this store needs serious attention.
summer squeeze drink and sangria
Went to a local applebee's in westfield and ordered apps and 2 drinks .To my surprise when we recieved our order the drinks had these large unwrapped straws stuck in them and i took it out of our drinks right away! # 1 i felt it to be very disturbing it was a unsanitary straw and i wasn't asked if we wanted one or not, i have been in food service most of my life, noe retired but...I always thought straws had to be wrapped not to mention why stick it in my drink with all the talk going around about the no straw movement ! really my issue is how un sanitary it is to handle a unwrapped straw and shove it in someones drink...Yuk .Not to mention we were surrounded by flies, maybe because the waitress did'nt remove dirty plates, we love the apps but we might think twice about drinks not to mention what we paided for them ...I was almost going to ask for a fresh drink without a straw but did'nt want to cause a seen!
half off appetizers
I I'm a strong lover of applebee's half off appetizers like most people and I expected to get half of appetizers and I didn't receive that when I went to my Local applebee's I went around 9:30 expecting half off apps because when you Google when does half off app start it says on week days after 9:00 p.m. So I went in Expecting no problems As did most of my party. After we got our check we did ask the manager and he said That he couldn't Change it even tell the website clearly States It should be half off. We didn't entirely make a big deal about It. The only thing I wish happened was the server would have told us that it wasn't half off after noticing every single one of us ordered an appetizer and just an appetizer
Oh, you googled it! How about asking the restaurant ahead of time if you can't afford to pay full price? And how was the waitress supposed to know that you are all a bunch of cheapskates just because you only ordered appetizers? I hope you left her a good tip, it sounds like your whole table was a bunch of whiny pain in the [censored] customers. I doubt you did though, since you're so cheap you order only appetizers and then whine because you had to pay full price.
You didn't verify that they had happy hour? You were responsible for checking this information when you arrived at the restaurant. Just because some random link on Google says something, it doesn't make it true. It isn't even a link from the Applebee's website. The website does NOT clearly state it should be half off. A blurb from a random third party website says that many Applebee's offer half off appetizers, not all. Not the manager's fault that none of you took the time to verify.

My husband and I went to Apple B's on 7/26/18. I ordered the Ribs and a Side of Shrimp. The Ribs were supposed to fall off the bone and instead i had to rip the meat off with my teeth. It was very bad and i tried the shrimp and it tasted funny. When I came home my stomach was so upset that I spent the night in the bath room. I've never been so sick in my life. Me and my bestfriend meet up in brenham at the applebees there and was having a nice time talking and drinking until a older man walks in with a dog and walk to the bar and our waitress stop him and played with the dog so that let me know this is a ongoing thing so i then ask for my waitress but she went outside to play with or talk to someone else and i told the man i dont like dogs can he shorten the Dog leash because he came and sit at the bar and we was sitting at the table right by it so then here comes our waitress and i told her to bring to go boxes and we paid and left we was there only 30 mins and just received the food and know that was not a seeing eye dog bc service dog have vest and also the bartender give the dog something to drink out of a bowl please tell me applebees do not run there business like this the staff all was touching on the dog and handling people food and in and out of the kitchen
riblets / chicken strips
Today I decided to die in one of your restaurants for lunch. I wanted to take advantage of the TV ad I saw for the all you can eat riblets. After seating myself at table in the bar area After about 5 - 6 minuets someone came and took my order and explained how the all you can eat processed worked. I chose to get riblets first which came out cold and almost no sauce on them. I made an attempt to eat some but being cold and no sauce they weren't good at all. I even asked for extra sauce hoping that the sauce would be hot and I could dip the riblets in the sauce but it was even colder. At this point I pushed my plate to the side and waited for my waiter to return. I told him that I was just over the riblets and I could I have the chicken strips for my second go around. He said yes and took the riblets ( almost a full plate ) which I was paying for and could've taken home and doctored up with me. He brought out the strips which were the smallest three strips I've ever seen, looked like it should've been on the kids menu. I was to angry inside at this point and asked for my bill which I paid along with a tip because it wasn't the young guys fault. As the day went on and I got even more upset because I paid for something that wasn't up to par. I'm not sure what can be done if anything because I typically don't complain about stuff like this I just don't go back to the Business and I also let my friends now . But today I feel like I just threw twenty dollars out the window.

I purchased Gift Cards in the US and planned on using in Canada and after much research i came to the conclusion that I would receive 65 per 50 in canada. Then when I went to pay they did not give that to me. I really think I may have been scammed. Please help. I would not of used them if I knew that but after the fact it was too late. We ate at Applebee's with a $25 gift card I received. It was football season and my whole family was dressed in chiefs attire. Our waitress was wearing raiders and she was talking smack on our team and was short and rude to us and our 3 kids. I have $8.40 left on my gift card and asking for a check from my remaining balance. The waitress made me so angry then when my youngest son accidentally knocked over his juice I pulled his hair and slapped him across the face. Now I find out that someone got my license plate number and called CPS on me. I am so scared. They want to talk to me. I did not know they were working so late.

Went out to dinner with my family and overheard a disturbing conversation between an older man (who I later learned was the manager) and an employee. During this conversation, the manager reacted childishly, and started insulting him, stating that he wasn't good at doing anything other than his girlfriend. Seeing how the management treats their staff at this establishment is disappointing, as all servers and hosts have been incredibly helpful during our visits.

Went to dinner with my husband and son. Waitress was wonderful. My husbands food and my food came out, our waitress came and said that they forgot to make our son's food. We waited 15 minutes for his to food to come. The waitress came over and apologized to us. I had asked the hostess to speak to the manager. The hostess came over and said that the manager would be over. We waited another 15 minutes and no manager. I let the hostess know that there was no need for the manger to come over as we were leaving and that we would probably never come back again. This store has piss poor management and cooking staff.

One more thing my son did not get to eat his food. He was crying over this. When he heard me tell the waitress that we would not return he was even more upset. When we left the restaurant I was so angry and annoyed at my son for crying that I slapped him across the face. I hit him so hard that he fell to the ground. I did not know that I hit him that hard as I was angry at the lack of service. Someone saw what happened and took down my license plate and called CPS. Now I may lose my son to them. If only the manger can things would not end up this way.

Corner of Emerald Coast Parkway and Baytowne Ln while on vacation with my daughter. Michele the waitress was great. While waiting on food I noticed a guy going to certain tables. The tables was filled with Caucasian families. I asked his name and position. Andy the manager never came to the 3 tables where the black customers was sitting. I felt offended that you can take my money but can't come to my table and see how I'm doing and if I needed anything. I will never give Applebee's my money ever again. That was the first time my daughter seen racism up front and personal and she was very hurt. Need better management.

I purchased more than $70 via Uber and the chicken was unavoidable in three of the four dishes. Iota two-seater chicken with the quinoa.and 1 spinach chicken pasta. the chicken was hard and seem not to be chicken and how to text you that felt like it was the veins or just terrible. My wife and I chose Applebees as the restaurant for lunch as we left the house as a family for the first time with our newborn son. Our toddler and mother in law was with us as well. We arrived around 11:30am which was 30 minutes after it opened. There was no hostess to greet us and the server David came over and was disoriented as he walked us to our table. He had us sit and immediately told us that he spent the last 12 hours fishin and drinking with his nephew and came directly to work arriving minutes ago. He used profanity in his story which was unacceptable to us because we have a toddler who repeats everything and we expected better language at a family restaurant during the lunch hour on a weekday. He did not recommend any drinks which is a company policy. He repeated our order out loud and brought us the wrong drinks after he spilled all of our drinks on the floor. My raspberry tea has entirely too much syrup in it. David then took our order and needed help from another server to ring it into the system. He then came back to our table to tell more stories and touched our baby without permission. We ordered some appetizers and the all you can eat chicken tenders. It took 45 minutes until the appetizers came out and the meals were done at the same time. The wait time for the food was unacceptable. David and a hostess went to the bathroom several times and stayed in here for 5-10 minutes at a time. We overheard them talking about drinking and my assumption is that they were hungover and getting sick based on their body language. My opinion is that David was still drunk. He was flustered, disoriented, and smelled like cigarette smoke. Darren is the GM and apologized. He boxed our food to go and compensated us with a $30 gift card. He also took care of the food bill. Because of the children and the wait time, we decided to not stay to eat. The only thing that made it to the table was the appetizer 45 minutes after we ordered. As Darren was talking to me, I overheard David say to another server "those aren't the type of people you want in here anyway." On Mother's Day this year 2018, I received the honey chicken Mac and cheese at my table and it was still frozen. That was the first bad experience. As regular customers at this Applebees location and a resident of Naples, I find the service unacceptable, the server's attitude inapropriate, and the server's words hurtful. I am satisfied with darren's response to our complaint. But if we receive poor service like this again from this location, any Applebees nation wide will perminantly lose our business.
I was customer in Applebee in Wiscosin dells, one of the server said “ This groups of people belong to Mc. Donald”. When I spoke to the restaurant manager and manager come to defense her employee and not properly address our issue. I noted she did not even told us her proper name except her title of being restaurant manager. My sever and usher were helpful to accommodate our needs. I am long time Applebee customer but this not my worst experience and I do not recommend for friends or family.

My friend and I eat Applebee's often but we are finding we may have to learn sign language because your wat staff seems to have a hearing problem we always ask for two seperate checks because we each pay our own this seems to be a terrible strenuous chore for the staff to accomplish because the can only hand one check then they have to do it over when we ask for two they respond ok no problem I guess they have short term memory loss or perhaps you need to. The confidentiality of that event was public.
In the end it was apparent that Connie the supervisor had admonished the employee enough that the employee was visibly upset.
All the other store staff was aware of the event, other patrons were also visibly involved in the concern for the employee.
Our order was incorrect upon arrival, I believe it was due to the in attention by the server and the emphasis that was being placed on the upset employee.
The employee left the store on a number of occasions and made numouous comments to staff and Connie.
The whole event occurred over a 30 minute time period,

This establishment used to be nice for what is offered in Albemarle however over time things have drastically went down including service in general & new hires, Whoever is in charge of hiring needs to be evaluated themselves. Clearly drug / background screening is not part of the hiring process. The young lady from tonight I knew looked familiar, only to realize she has been charged with prostitution, auto theft & drugs/dui etc although people make mistakes, I'd rather not have grunchie people handling/ bringing me my food. This is extremely sad for me because I've lived here over 40 years and never once had an complaint of this establishment. Sadly me and my family won't be back. Thank you for your time.

When we first arrived there were at least 4 employees outside in the back area smoking what smelled like marijuana. They were in the back near the back door so we assumed they work there. We go inside it took awhile to get seated and then we were greeted by our waitress Iris who was clearly intoxicated she kept repeating our order to us over and over and could not write it down correctly. She came back with our drinks and spilled the Sprite on the floor near our table. It seems like your location has a problem with employees using drugs and not being proffesional. Our experience was not a good one for the second time we visit your establishment. It's close to home and we enjoy the food but the service and the people not so much. If you don't I think you should run drug test on your employees because it clearly looks like this is out of control. We will not be returning there ever again.

I took the family out to dinner on a Friday night. As per your manager and bartender they have no control of the sound level of music. I am a veteran with hearing and my father in law is 89 and has a hearing disability. I addressed this to both your manager Teresa Leon and Brandon the bartender they both agreed they had no control of lowering the music. I clearly told them that under the state ADA regulation law they should be able to accommodate our request. I love your establishment and i participate during veteran day and memorial day courtesy meals. I mentioned to your staff that if a customer used his or her electronic device to purchase or select the music. Applebee should have the right to make any changes if a customer has a legitimate complaint. Your staff said they had no say so in the matter. I was very disappointed in both your manager and bartender decision. If was around 7pm and we didn't have time to leave and go to another Restuarant. I detest loud music; I always have. I have never been to an Applebee's restaurant before, and after reading about their refusal (ignorance) to turn down the racket, I won't ever set foot into an Applebee's. Denny's restaurants are guilty of playing dreadfully loud "music" as well. We live in an increasingly noise obsessed society. Give us some peace and quiet, please!
The music is always too loud. They also need to play age-appropriate music for their customers and not the teenagers who work there. Whem I'm there the customers are at LEAST 40+, more likely 50+ or 60+. I don't appreciate the music and I'm sure yhey don't either.
