Applebee's labor rights and unfair treatment

I have been working in Ottawa KS for approximately 2 weeks now! The training was less than satisfactory due to them sending u home as soon as they could so they don't have to pay you minimum wage! Then I was just tossed out on the floor! When hired I agreed to work part time yet I have worked split shifts for the last 10 days and closing when I should of left early per the schedule! The manager and crew have there favorites and they get by with anything and are put on a pedestal while me being the new girl I get put to doing there cleaning and majority of the time I close while the person closing gets sent home! The managers are very short tempered and constantly tell u to stop talking or they hold up there hand and say not now when I ask for help! A few employees actually feel like they are treated like a slave! I have 2 autistic children at home and live 47 minutes from the Applebee's I work at so when I work doubles I leave at 9:30 and majority of time I'm not home until 1 a.m. due to not being able to make it home due to distance between my shifts! I have expressed this several times and been told to deal with it or hey say "sorry" and walk off! I have never been treated more like a slave laborer in my life and I will be posting this complaint on every social network that will allow me to until something is done for the employees treated as I am here in Ottawa! We are good, hard workers and just because we do our job instead of smooching to get to the top doesn't mean we deserve to be treated like this! Something needs to be done! HELP!

Applebee's the food

We just ate, September 7, 2018, at Applebee's in Seymour IN. The food was terrible, over cooked fried shrimp, nachos were dry, like they sat under the heat lamp too long waiting for pick up. The food was of very poor quality. My grilled chicken was fatty and very dry and over cooked, not to mention the soggy veggies.
Our food bill was just under a $100. We didn't eat much of it because it was terrible quality. We loved Applebee's but your food service has changed for the worse. We will not eat there ever again.
When you had Tyler Florence featured in your menu, food was fantastic! Sorry don't want Applebee's anymore.

Applebee's cheeseburger

I ordered the new one entree, one appetizer and a salad for 11.99. First my burger came without cheese then the manager told me he "melted my cheese on my burger." I could have gotten this burger from McDonalds. The chips for my appetizer looked like they were from the bottom of the bag and my salad dressing was so skimpy. My fiance and I frequent this applebees and are very disappointed. The server only saw us once and looked too young to be serving alcohol.

Applebee's management

general managers are not respectful to they're staff, not professional at all! called in for an emergency and was yelled at and hung up on. this is a occurring thing here, they don't do their freezer pull and make us, the other staff do it and they wonder why people, aka the staff that runs the kitchen acts the way they do. the turn over rate for employment is crazy here and most likely the reason being is the management, general manager don't do things to code half [censored] they're work and make the employees do they're salary work and this is not right at all they are more worried about they're bonuses than helping people and it's just not right for a corporate company to allow this

Applebee's food

My order is never right coming from the call center, and im always forced to pay for food ive waited over an hour to get... The managment team harrasses and gives ultimatums saying I can eat it or not... Its up to me? That doesnt sound very professional... Please help me to resolve the issue I eat here 4 times a week and there should never be a problem serving regular customers... Sincerely trail v.

Applebee's management

There was a sexual harassment complaint at the applebees on 29 in Charlottesville. The general manager and the district manager have completely ignored this complaint and done nothing in regards to the offending party. I think this is disgraceful and breaking into lawsuit territory and I would like to see this incident looked into. The fact that the management is letting this happen is grounds for their termination.

Applebee's customer service

My family walked into the Applebee's on Cottle Rd in south San Jose. It was around 5pm but the restaurant had many empty tables. A young man got us a table, but never asked if we wanted to order drinks. This young man along with other employees kept walking past my table without taking our order. We sat there for 15 min and nobody attended to us. I left the restaurant extremely disappointed.

Applebee's chicken alfredo pasta

Hi, there was a roach in my meal on August 20, 2018 around 8:00 pm at the Applebee's location in south haven, Mississippi. As I was getting ready to take a bite, I come across a roach. I told the server and she came to look at it and asked if I wanted them to remake the food! I asked to see manager but he never came.. instead the server came back and said he told her to relay the message instead of him coming to me and apologizing! I would never eat there again!

Applebee's the food we ordered

On August 16 2018 my husband and I went to the applebees in rocky mount va. I ordered the shrimp alfredo broccoli and he ordered the steak and shrimp. My pasta sauce was so watery and not enough shrimp. My husband's meal he asked for medium rare and they cooked it medium well. We were very disappointed. We were there last month and I ordered the same thing and it was amazing! My husband ordered the bourbon chicken and it was cooked perfect. We thought we would give this place another chance but it failed miserably. We will not be coming back to any applebees.

Applebee's employee complaint

Hello,

My name is Gabriela Martinez and I am a former employee of Applebees in Topeka, Kansas. While working at the establishment I came across some information. The general manager Shawn, i'm not sure of the last names to my managers, is currently fraternizing with one of the prep cooks/servers. Her name is Kellsey. At first i thought it was a joke and rumors but the longer I started working there I heard stories from people and have seen Kellsey casually flirt and rub on shawn during one dinner shift. Kellsey gets away with a lot, in my opinion, and creats a bad work environment. She is constantly fighting with someone. I know this is a serious accusation but I would not report it if I thought it wasn't true. I've also heard the other manager, Jessica, ask employees for rides to/from work. I know her license is suspended. I had no idea it was not allowed to give managers rides. I'm not sure of the job title but I know Shawn's boss' name is Mark. I believe he is in charge of a few Applebees establishments in the Kansas area.

I work at Applebee's and I just started bartending and serving. I have been busting my but at night after my day job. The management as well as me.smelt something in the bathroom I sprayed it the 1st time. Know idea what is was. I was not only asked if I was on drugs. I am not have been clean since 2014. Then they took me in the office again and to prove to them I wasn't doing drugs and I don't know why I was the only one approached I emptied out my whole apron which is the only thing I had on me I had pens in there I had a lighter and I don't know if it was a piece of tin foil or a little piece of the pack for my cigarettes and the one manager said you were smoking drugs in the bathroom so you have to leave early tonight and took the rest of my shifts for the week and then scheduled me Saturday and Sunday when I have the first through the fourth off now I'm not going to be able to pay rent and they had no legal reason to have me leave I wasn't asked to show them what was in my apron I pulled everything out to prove to them that there's no way I could have been doing anything in the bathroom and my GM will not listen to me or hear my side of the story. I really like my job and I'm really hurt that I would empty my apron to show them that I obviously don't have anything on me and they would make me leave and take my shifts anyways and then talk friday well there's nothing to talk about because I didn't do anything and it's super not legal to accuse someone with no proof of drugs when Nobody had any reason to think or assume the smell was drugs. The 1st time I did go in with the gm and it was weird I don't know. The second time I was peeing and the mgr was next to me as I was saying weird it smells in here again and sprayed perfume in case of customer came in there I didn't know if it was diarrhea or if somebody came in smelling like cigarettes or weed I have no idea. Right afterwards she took me into the office and asked me if I was on drugs and I said no I've been clean for 8 years I used to be a meth user and she goes yeah people smoke meth off tin foil and I'm like I never knew that but thank you I was an IV user and even though it's none of your business and I'm really proud of the fact that I'm sober but instead I got sent home and got my shifts taken tomorrow and Wednesday or Thursday and I have to pay rent on the first and I feel like that's not even legal what they did to me and there's nobody to contact about it.. does anybody know if you can legally make somebody leave because you smell the funny smell in the bathroom and they just happen to have gone to the bathroom at the same time you were peeing and had a lighter in their pocket

Pretty much the same thing in Altus Oklahoma Applebees manager Michael or Mike is constantly messaging waitress shoulders and they are afraid to speak up because they need there job.

Applebee's bbq brisket tacos

probably the worst taco I've ever had. In the picture it looked so good! I ordered it them and it didn't have ANY TOPPINGS. It only had the crispy onions that were burnt. They were not edible at all. I told the waitress I didn't like the tacos but all she did was laugh it off and apologize. She was sweet but the girl at the front didn't even acknowledge us. I attached my onions and what it was supposed to look like. I was just shocked that all I had was onions and meat!

Applebee's health hazard

I recently found out this woman who is a employed by our local Applebees. She has 30+ cats living in her home with fecal matter all over her home which smells of cat feces and urine the smell is so strong it can be smelled outside of her residence. She has had authorities remove 23 cats from her home previously. How is she allowed to work in a a food environment. This is not rumors or lies.

Applebee's threat from employee

Once every week my wife and I eat at Applebee, W180 N9469 Premier Ln, Menomonee Falls, WI 53051, and as we left tonight around 11 pm on Thursday August 16th, 2018, the employee, Nick, decides to come out and threaten my wife and I about a tip. As usual we give out tips, but tonight we did not and he threw a fit and theaten us. Clearly, he's angry about the tip, storming out the restaurant and eagerly telling us not to come and eat there anymore and that he will remember our faces. We went home feeling uncomfortable and we ask that this situation is to be settled so it won't happened again. Also we would like to know and be contacted about what will happen to this employee, Nick, specifically, so we can come back and enjoy eating at Applebee's without feeling threaten. Applebee's manager had horrible attitude

The manager/hostess walked over to our table and was rude about outside drinks saying "she'll allow it this time, but next time we better leave them in the car or we can't come in." All she had to say was outside drinks weren't allowed. Didn't need to threaten us, and from that point on our service was slow and she didn't check up on us like she did other customers. Our waitress was an absolute sweetheart, but the manager was not.

Applebee's unethical behavior/ terrible customer service

I went to Apple Bees on Saturday me and my Husband. The wait to get seated was horrible. I guess they were a little short staffed. Once seated, we sat there for 20 minutes and was never greeted by the Waitress, others that came in after us were attended to. We left, upon leaving, I spoke with the Manager Chrissy who agreed that it was unacceptable but watched us walk away. This is the 3rd time that I had problems at this particular location. I demand good customer service in whatever establishment that I'm spending my money in. The location that I'm speaking of is the one on Joppa Rd in Townson Maryland.

Applebee's fly in boneless wings

My Complaint against Applebees. Went to eat me and my husband. Ordered the 2 for 25:00 waited for waitress as we were eating the boneless wings a fly was on the wings. My husband took a picture and the Manager apologized for it. The restaurant isn't the best and need better cleaning. My husband and I left the restaurant. I would like for corporate to contact me. Applebee's employees

I was hired 2 weeks ago at Applebees in Tuscaloosa in the mall. Everyday I went I was put in worst section possible and made 92.00 in 3 days at 8 hours a shift. when said something he said I had to work myself up. But 2 other girls started same day as me and never once was in that section. But I was every night I worked. they aren't rotating sections between employees. Then one top of that the manager Patrick spends majority of his day talking outside on patio to girlfriend and when he is we can't deserve him. well that means if we need a manger for computer or guest they have to wait on him which I've seen him sit out there 45 mins. that's crazy. Patrick is very practical to black woman and let a them to do what they want. my last night there 2 girls got to arguing so he let the one girl tell the other how much silverware to roll she made her roll every one. it's over 300 pairs of silverware that isn't right to let other employees cut floor and decide on silverware. Thus is clearly favoritism. When I said something about the other 2 girls being there the same time he didn't have anything to say. I've been waiting tables 25 years and I've never ran across favoritism like this. and he basically told me that he keeps servers to close and let's kitchen go cause he has to pay them more. so he want me to go in there and work for 8 hours running everyone else's food and doing their side work for 30 in 8 hours. he told me he using us as cheap labor. that's has to make up for all the food and liquor he's taking from there for him and his girl. even on days off coming up there to get bottles and food. I've never worked for a more unprofessional place in my life. servers walking around cussing, on phones, talking new servers they have serjourity over us new ones and we have to do what they say. it's a big mess up there

Applebee's the service, food and management

On August 3rd around 4:30 my family, a party of 9 total went to (crapplebees) after my uncles funeral and it was horrible. The food was messed up and cold, my steak was ordered medium and it was well and burnt but I was not about to send it back and have someone mess with my food. I had to go get our server several times I even had to go the bar and get my own drinks several times cause 20 mins had passed since we ordered them. They were not busy at all. Our waitress name was Whitney. She was new and had no idea how to wait on tables. I worked at Texas steakhouse right next door for 10yrs. I know it's not a easy job but it cost me over 120$ for my 4 people on my ticket which got changed 3 times. After I had done paid it the second time which was 103 something we walked out side and I had to go back in and pay more on the same ticket cause she still had food left over on her screen after I wrote down everything that was on my ticket that I needed to pay. The manager was no good and needs to find another job. He was a tall skinny man not sure what his name was because he never came to check on us and seen me walk to the bar to get our drinks that we ordered from the waitress several times. There was a waitress there that did check on us and I tipped her for it. Her name was Jennifer, and I thanked her for it. There's not a lot of places to eat in martinsville va and I don't go out to eat but twice a month if that so when I do and I am paying to be waited on and have good food and service I expect to enjoy it and not have to get things myself. It was horrible and it took over an hour to fix the tickets. I can't say I'd go back there any time soon. That Applebee's didn't use to be like that. Coming from a former bartender/ waitress myself I know what you're suppose to do for the customer and the manager nor waitress made that trip a pleasurable dinner. I will not give this place a good review. Something needs to be done and changed around there. I'm VERY DISAPPOINTED in how our trip to Applebee's turned out August 3rd. I can name everything that's was on my ticket that day. Never again!

Applebee's customer service

While having an after work drink at applebees at 360 Fulton st. I witnessed a general manager by the name if Ackel Roberts threaten to punch a patron in the face for questioning the horrible service. The patron was patient and none confrontational. I will make sure to recommended that none of my co workers patronize this establishment at any location. I also felt uncomfortable and feared that if ever I had a complaint I could possibly be treated bodily harm also or possjble retaliation bybtampering with my food items... No... I won't be back and neither will my co workers.

Applebee's carside to go

I ordered from location at Main Street in Spartanburg, SC via phoneat 2:14 pm. I arrived and waited in the designated parking space I waited and watched a waitress seat some people waited a bit longer and after 12 minutes I decided to go inside to pick up my order. I observed employees being casual but not helping anyone- no work being done visibly I did observe my order waiting on the counter so I left my money and took my order and left my receipt so that they knew what the money was for. I am sure that if anyone else had arrived and just decided to go into the car side door they could have taken my food without having to pay I did wait inside for someone to help me and no one did. I did not contact this location for a complaint I came straight to this website to complain to corporate. In conclusion I observed several negative reviews online but decided despite my own personal bad experiences with Applebee's that I would give them another try- there had to be a new management and it had to be better. unfortunately it was much worse. this was the first time I have visited Applebee's in at least two years I will not be back ever.
